Sasaki and Hirano‘s friendship

So when I reread the chapter I noticed Sasaki was there too lol 😅

And I don’t think he oversaw the scene in front of him

So I speculate that they will have some kind of conversation. They are both those friends who are always together since years but have like one photo together and this one photo is actually a class picture 😂

But anyway, we are in may right now (hrkg timeline) and in june Sasaki and Hirano will have this scene where Hirano told Sasaki to tell Miyano why he loves him. Also the convo between them at the end was implying they were talking about "love" at some point.

We do know Hirano and Sasaki talked about Sasaki‘s and Miyano‘s relationship (at some point) but they never really talked about Hirakagi‘s relationship. Yes, Sasaki saw them and thought „oh wtf I know what you are 👀“, but never asked or talked about it with him. So I think they will have a small convo and it will be so funny for some reason 😂

I legit woke up in a cold sweat because something just hit me. At the beginning of the game we have zero idea how long we were unconscious while in Kuras' care, and he is powerful enough to reattach limbs. Which means this man could have done any number of things to us and we'd have no idea.

I'm confident that the only reason there are stitches on our arm is because he knew it'd be too suspicious for us to wake up with no sign of injury. Which means he had who knows how long to inspect our hands, investigate what we are, experiment on us, take samples if he wanted, and then heal any evidence away with nary a scratch to tip us off.

He brushes off the whole "fascinating patient" comment, but it clearly stems from something he realized/discovered about us. What did he find out and how? Leander got to experience our curse through touch, and Vere likely smelled something deeper about it off of us, but Kuras has already gotten the chance to study it, via methods I can't even imagine. And I'm not sure I want to know what he's about to do with what he learned.

I watched your deer slaughter video and I think I big part of what's getting people is that they probably genuinely don't realize how quickly it's "lights out" for the animal. Looking at the eyes and respiration, that deer was probably dead damn near instantly, the leg motion displayed is likely the result of residual nerve twitches.

People are really, really unfamiliar with death, I've found. So many people performing slaughter for the first time want to eat the meat imediately, for example... But that's how you get tough, near unusable meat. Why? Rigor mortis. The beef you get in the store was rested for about 10 days before it got to you just to let the muscles relax - it takes that long for your muscles to stop muscling.

You'll even see strangr post-mortem movements in human corpses, part of the origen of zombies. My own grandmother even did a full Lazarus sign, which was admittedly horrifying since we were very certain she was very dead and we didn't expect it.

I know I am preaching the choir here, mostly just wanting to back you up.

That makes sense. Interesting stuff.

Just speculating here, but I wonder if there is a psychological/cultural aspect to people's misunderstanding of how things die. Death is as scary as it is inevitable, so we tell ourselves and our children that it's just a sudden, peaceful, painless sleep, or there's an afterlife. To protect our minds from the incomprehensible concept of eternal nothingness--for ourselves, our loved ones, and for the animals, especially the ones we kill.

Or, maybe it's an industry thing that has set a standard that's wrong, with the hopes that the public in general would not actually see how things die?

I think about the number of people who say, "Oh my uncle kills deer/cattle/etc, and when he does it, it's instant!" Even though the reindeer and other livestock, when stunned/shot/bolted in the brain, do stop feeling near-instantly (ideally,) and the people making these claims never saw their uncle kill the deer/cattle/etc.

In fact, the uncle may have never said that their animals died instantly, and maybe the people making the claims just wanted to believe "Uncle Joe is so nice, he must do something nicer than killing in a way that involves pain or blood!"

One memorable comment on that video was someone bashing this Indigenous Sami reindeer herder because "Native Americans have a way to kill them instantly!" I asked them to show me a video of this amazing insta-death method that is apparently employed by everyone in their imagined monolith of Native America, if this claim is so real. They sent me a video...of someone who is not Native American talking to the camera about Native Americans, and never so much as mentioning any method of slaughter, let alone showing it. It was just a bunch of nice words.

So, I wonder if people just think "that person I know/that group of people are great and perfect, and that means that if they kill animals, it must be perfect and nice and somehow painless and bloodless and pretty!"

And, when they see real death, which isn't so pretty, they insist, "But there must be something wrong with that one!"

I know for a fact episode 18 is another interdorm mission cause of the thumbnail. It's def including Zenji and Subaru but the other two I'm still trying to quiz out.

I can't tell if the right is Haku or Lyca, of both it'd make a bit of sense. Haku would make sense cause he can see Zenji and we might get a fully involved Zenji interdorm mission. Lyca also makes sense considering how the mission may involve stars and he's a werewolf, there's a small possibility that he can smell Zenji despite not seeing him; which might also mean there's a possibility of him being capable of hearing the man yapping (much like I believe Leo to be able to hear Zenji).

BUT THE LEFT. I'm 90% sure that it's Towa and if that assumption is correct and it's not a new ghoul or Sho, I'M GONNA FREAK. HE IS WEARING A SLEEVELESS SHIRT. A. SLEEVELESS. SHIRT. I love Towa too much- But it definitely makes sense for it to be the fairy boy, since he seems to be able to see Zenji, plus he enjoys stargazing and seems to be able to speak when there's stars around or perhaps the moon (he's able to speak after 4pm from what it seems like, but the moon also tends to rise earlier then the sun sets. Which can explain why he spoke in episode 12 while the sun was out, because there was a chance the moon might've been in the sky(I know I'm speculating and making theories-))

But in accordance to quoting my gay friend I got into the game: "They've turned fairy boy into a fuck boy" I'm still freaking. They showed Taiga midriff, they did a seeming caged beneath scene for Ritsu, they did a reality dating show, THEY'RE SHOWING TOWA'S ARMS WITHOUT A SHIRT COVERING THEM.

Sooo this is interesting. It seems that canonnically, looking back at the videos and just general proceedings, that the Papas are "made" and were not necisserily raised in the Ministry. In terms of how the whole thing works with the bloodline there probably is a Satanic bloodline (my father's father) and the Papas recieve the white eye when they come into their own/accept Satan? Something like that?

Looking at Dance Macabre - Nihil recieved the eye in the Ritual with Seestor. That doesn't mean he wasn't a part of the bloodline he might just have been ignorant of the fact he was, right? (Disregarding for a second that video is very 80s, let's just say it takes place before 1969 in the actual timeline). Seestor established the Ministry, found a descendent of "The Bloodline" and made him see the light of Satan.

This also tracks with From the Pinnicle to the Pit where we see a recreation/dramatisation/allegory of Terzo's ascension.

And now we have V who, from the video, could have been a monk who failed to quell his urges and ultimately turned to the dark side.

I know also in early interviews Special Ghoul said that there was a ritual where each Papa recieved "the voice." Lore that early has probably been retconned now but if you squint it does make sense, assuming it is easier for the Clergy to just choose a successor who you know for a fact is a part of the bloodline - a direct descendant of a former Papa - and then they recieve the voice / the eye / anything else that goes with it.

Anyway that's just some ramblings. I could be miles off with this theory and personally for fics and the like i tend to prefer the idea that they grew up as brothers in the Ministry, at least the original three Papas.

I don't think Kipperlilly has a crush on Riz. I think she has had a one sided rivalry this whole time and has probably been doing as well as Riz has in school but is pissed that Riz has so much more accolades than her as a rogue. Bet she's seething that Riz found the rogue teacher the way she was designed to be found using proper rogue tactics.

Okay so, Armand and his trauma related behaviour:

1) Often thinking about "I could not prevent it" and that maybe Armand not only believes it's true but it was actually true after a certain point because there's the thing that he's probably got this big ass PTSD and possibly other trauma related symptoms and maybe dissociation is one of them.

What if he dissociated so hard, that even if he'd changed his mind about everything mid trial, he couldn't have changed a thing? I don't think vampire powers, even the mind gift, cancels out consequences of trauma automatically

And that's not me saying he's actually a harmless innocent puppy who did nothing wrong ever. He's a monster who does horrendous things and I love him for it <3 (not as much as one Daniel Molloy would lol)

2) I recently looked through scenes and caught one moment that I never noticed before. In S2E2, when Armand and Louis talk outside of murder mansion, someone gets thrown out of a window, behind Armand. I took a look at his body language - he flinched as if he got startled by it, but only the arm/hand hiding in his pocket. Then we get a close up and we see him blinking a lot of times while talking about how sad it is that Claudia is so young.

Thinking about it - it could be PTSD symptoms. Sure could be something else, but maybe talking about Claudia made him think about himself as a teen. Which wasn't pretty. His guard could have been lowered for a second there. I think it's plausible that this could have been a PTSD reaction.

I am probably overanalyzing but I love to overanalyze things that fictional characters do and also, what else is there? (besides his self-soothing and constant stimming)

Canon Divergence where one of Emmrich's distant relatives does take him in except they're Antivan and he grows up in the Antivan Circle where he's snapped up by the Crows not long after his Harrowing for his skills with Corpse Whispering -- fast forward 20 years and he meets the Grandson of the First Talon while on a contract... and then-- slow burn? like years long maybe decades long slow burn... is this anything? I was actually so disturbed because : huh ??? The clone has lost his slipper (like impaled Will) but his robe isn't dropping on one shoulder ? He doesn't have holes in his clothes?? I can get he's not physically injured, but why would he have only a part of his clothes matching the "real Will" ?

And we he's the only Will on this panel who has a missing slipper actually

It's wild to me that somehow Mr. Eyebags himself gets the most sleep out of everyone so far (it'd be so funny if Ais spent like half his day asleep or something). 5 hours isn't bad at all, which means I doubt those dark circles are due to sleep deprivation. Is something else draining his energy like necromancy perhaps? Is that why he needs so much caffeine?

Speaking of, does this man eat? When he wakes up he has caffeine, no mention of food. Then he takes a coffee break, no mention of food. Then he treats his team to dinner, no mention of him eating with them. Then he drinks for hours on end, no mention of food. He talks to mc about the different foods in Eridia and offers to take us out, so I doubt this is a Kuras situation where he's never needed to eat, but maybe he doesn't need to anymore because necromancy? Or... maybe... *looks at the Blood Splatter* he eats in private.

Someone pointed out that his Personal Matters are exactly 12 hours apart from the Blood Splatter. I personally think that his 'me time' is him going down to the Crypts or something (especially since he gets coffee right after), but a lot of other people think this is his hoeing hour. Either way the two sections seem connected, and if the blood is tied to his escapades, then it's a good thing mc decided not to pounce on him when they were alone.

Whatever the blood means, it's no skin off this man's back, if he can fall asleep immediately afterwards. You just know this bitch's dreams are either blissful or non-existent.
