Major Shadow and Bone season two spoilers

OK BUT WHAT WAS THE REASON???? WHAT WAS THE REASON??? WHY DID DAVID DO THAT??????? IT WAS SO UNNECESSARY!! SOBBING

ok and now that i've got that out of my system, I actually do problems with how his death was treated.

It felt so... unnecessary. Putting aside my love for David, it felt so weird from an in-story point of view. I genuinely don't know why he did that. There was enough room for them both in the elevator and what on earth was he supposed to do against a being made of shadow? There was no tension of "what's going to happen to David" bc there was no way for him to win. I think he was supposed to be sacrificing himself so Genya could escape and be safe but honestly if he wanted to protect her, it would be better to live. He could seal doors to keep monsters out, he was studying how these creatures work at the beginning of the season so maybe he knew a secret weakness or smth, or at the very least they have a better chance of surviving if they stick together.

Locking her in an elevator is so stupid too bc he could have been dooming her. What if the elevator got stuck/broken and she couldn't get out? She would have suffocated or starved. What if a monster got in and she was boxed in? Literally no way for her to escape. Like it was such a stupid decision. Luckily neither of those happened but they very easily could have. (And then the fact that we don't see where the elevator goes or her getting out bothers me but that's not what this post is about.)

And this next thing may be a moot point bc the last two episodes were so busy and I'm not quite sure how to fit them in, but I wish we got to see at least a little bit of David fighting the monster. I know I said before there was no way for him to win but I at least want to see him try. I want to see David, a shy, introvert who has never been anywhere near the front lines, fight with everything he has to get back to Genya. He has no training, no idea what to do, nothing but the idea that he needs to get back to her. His death was already sad but this really would have pushed it to a new level. The way they had it, I already knew he was going to die bc the odds were so against him. But if they showed him trying to fight, it would have given the viewer a bit of hope and make it that much worse when he loses.

The last shot that we see of him is him standing in front of the elevator looking determinedly at the monster while Genya screams for him. I'll be honest, I actually did have a bit of hope for him here. We just saw this Durast saint in Shu Han kick everybody's asses; all these expert soldiers and criminals that we've seen win over and over, and she did it like it was nothing. And Jesper even had a very minor arc abt using his powers more and in more unconventional ways and I was hoping to see it reflected in David. We know he's an amazing Durast, one of the best ones in Ravka, and unlike Jesper he actually has training and knows how to use his powers. We last saw him standing in a workshop, surrounded by tools and materials that he knows how to use, and I was really hoping that he would figure out a way to use them in battle. Idk if he could actually hurt the monster but it would still be so cool and develop his character in a way we haven't seen before. Or at least he could make a flash bomb or smth like the ones Wylan uses and escape. But nope. I put too much faith in the writers to think they would do that.

Lastly, his death didn't advance the plot in anyway. If they wanted it to develop Genya, I really don't think it was the right choice. Over the course of this season, she's been mutilated, disabled, kept as a prisoner, thought she lost the love of her life, and confronted her abusers. She has already been so developed so much since season one, adding David's death doesn't really do anything. I think they did it just for shock value. And the way it was written didn't really make sense either? She's upset when she can't find him after the battle, she's upset when she finds the ruby in his coat, and then the next time we see her she's fine? She's laughing and smiling and hanging out with her friends. And I'm not saying that ppl who are grieving can't do those things, but it was just such an extreme 180 that happened so quickly, both in the episode's run time and the in-show timeline, that it felt jarring and like she didn't care anymore. And this is not hate on the actress ofc, she was amazing this season.

Idk I just think they handled David's death very poorly. But we didn't see his body so maybe he's still alive. I hope so, I love him so much.

T'zekhwalker - Final Zenos Fight

i spent so much time here it needed its own post. i'd be lying if i said this one scene wasn't a main reason i pushed t'zekh through the main story (the other was i wanted him to get to 90/get the rdm artifact gear so he could wear his canon glam but you know)

so, some background for folks who are new here: t'zekh was the main wol for stormblood. he was the one zenos became obsessed with, and he has spent most of endwalker trying to get zenos to leave him alone. he knows zenos desperately wants t'zekh to kill him--to come at him with fire and rage and bloodlust--but t'zekh refuses to kill anyone no matter how much they deserve it.

i had been waiting so long for t'zekh to be able to do this dialog choice and the answer i had envisioned for him actually changed from the time i did this with aoife. originally i'd thought he'd go with option 2, but by the time i got here, 3 was more his style.

which ended up being a good thing, because zenos's response to that answer was fucking perfect for t'zekh

small aside--it drove me bonkers back when spoiler embargo first lifted and ppl (mostly on twitter) were INSISTING that answer 1 was the only possible canon answer and if you picked any of the others you were clearly playing the game wrong. even despite yoshi p confirming that there was no "correct" answer and the team had tried to write it so that players could respond to zenos the way they felt best reflected their own character's experience. people were STILL out there like "sorry but if you didnt pick option 1 you're just wrong"

so to see the text validate my choice and my hcs so perfectly has me feeling vindicated in this chilis. it is okay for people to have a different experience of the game than you!!! (i'll get off my soapbox now)

option 3 was perfect for t'zekh because he is finally fed up enough with zenos that he's finally willing to cast aside his moral opposition to killing in order to make sure zenos can't hurt anyone else in his name.

and zenos caught on to that and responded in kind.

anyway then i took a fucktillion pictures in the instance (most of which i'll put on my wol blog)

it was so hard to get them in the same frame lmao

and then i did the solo fight! not too bad on red mage, surprisingly enough - was very thankful to have vercure though lmao

this punch is still just as satisfying the second time

On my way to the last credits sequence i learned that you will actually fuck up the music timing if you skip or speed up the credits. it was playing revenge twofold when it was supposed to be playing flow together. that was very jarring. i don't know why they haven't set it to just start playing flow together for that sequence. dont skip the credits folks

and that's a wrap! i uhhh might have abandoned him before finishing out the quest so i could go farm memoria misera with aoife but im very happy to have (technically) beaten Endwalker with him before the year ended, which was one of my goals.

I think I started main story with him in January, so it's taken me about a year to get through... mostly what set me back was i had to make time/build emotional strength to make progress through parts I knew would be difficult emotionally. But I committed to not to skipping any cutscenes and just pressing on through a second read, and I'm glad to have embarked on this journey.

as soon as i finished endwalker the first time i knew it was going to be equally aoife and t'zekh's story. they both ended up having stakes in the plot in different ways, and getting to play through and see things from t'zekh's perspective was so much fun.

i still keep thinking abt the version of the ending in my head, wherein t'zekh is lying at the edge of the universe and all he can think is "i want to live, dammit!!"

and he hears a voice calling out to him.

"there you are!" aoife shouts, "I was looking all over for you!"

T'zekh has spent so much of the story kind of in aoife's shadow, grappling with what it means to be a "hero" in his own way. he spent a lot of stormblood resenting her absence.

but by the end of endwalker… i think they end up really close friends

vincent is very physically affectionate with people and likes holding their hands or sitting close to them or giving them hugs and/or kisses :) though he IS pretty hesitant to do any of this, because especially in his line of work it's not really a Thing people do ahgfjdhg but luckily he's managed to surround himself with people who ARE like him and who don't mind having him clinging to them for a few hours <3 in fact they love that actually <3

on top of that, much like mikhail he also does things for people without them having to ask him anything. he's a good listener and quickly picks up on things that have been bothering people and he likes to take care of that for them, so it doesn't bother them anymore :) he also hates making a mistake or leaving unfinished business, so he will do anything in his power to not fuck up + push through with things, and if he fails he will always go back to it to fix it to save other people the trouble

reversed, vincent's friends are very physically affectionate with him as well and mirror most of his affection right back to him. mikhail will occasionally take some of vincent's tasks and do them for him, so he won't have to do them later; vitali essentially worships vincent and will do literally anything for him, but most of all he wants to make sure vincent feels comfortable and safe around him. on top of that he also just really likes buying vincent stuff <3

🍁 where does your oc go when they need to have some time to themself? would they ever have their own "comfort corner" filled with all the things they like? do they have a favorite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

vincent doesn't need a lot of alone time since he feels at his best when he's with others, but when he does he tends to retreat into his old bedroom at home, which is now mikhail's bedroom but that's fine lol if he's in there mikhail will just leave him alone and hang out in the living room for the time being <3 a lot of vincent's stuff is still in there anyway because they're both too lazy to relocate it to vincent and vitali's bedroom LOL

vincent doesn't necessarily have his own comfort corner in the house, but tbh every single place in the house can be his comfort corner if he wants. all he needs is some pillows and vitali and boom, comfort corner :)

aside from that, he does still own his own little apartment in the megabuilding in watson. he doesn't really use the place anymore but likes to have it as "backup" so to say, not that he worries he'll get kicked out of the house or anything but it's nice to have a place to fall back to if necessary. he mostly just uses it as a safehouse or the better alternative for a motel LOL

this goes without saying at this point but vincent LOVES his friends so much you have no idea. oh my god. he loves spending time with them and he loves doing jobs with them but also just running errands together can be the highlight of his day. he likes cars a lot and really likes driving (even though he got his driver's license from a questionable source and really should not be allowed behind the wheel), and he also likes being driven around and just sitting in the car all day looking at the city :) he likes food, not even necessarily "good" food if it's edible he'll eat it, hell if it's not edible he'll also probably give it a try LMFAO zero impulse control and it doesn't help his friends encourage him to do it

some other things vincent likes: listening to music, money, flowers, stars, looking at the stars, spunky monkey, stickers, knives, dancing, pretty clothes, pretty dresses(!!!!!), horror movies, sandstorms (as long as he's inside), staying in any motel in the badlands, looking at vitali, playing video games with mikhail, egging arasaka vehicles with cato, judy and huxley <3

vincent gets scared pretty easily and it upsets him greatly, to the point he'll often just end up crying :( he doesn't want to bother others with it, so he'll usually just isolate himself until he feels better. when he's had a nightmare he'll just attempt to go back to sleep, even though he's usually unsuccessful because he's too scared; on rare occasions he'll wake up vitali and tell him about the nightmare, and vitali stays up with him until vincent is able to fall asleep again. this works a lot better than what he normally does but he feels really bad about waking vitali up so he tries to like. not do that. even though vitali literally doesn't mind and actually really wants to be there for vincent auuagh ;w;

vincent does still have a plushie (what kind of plushie to be determined LMFAO i need to think about this. it's not that deep but at the same time everything is deep to me) which he carries with him in his bag :) he thinks it's a little dumb but at the same time can't leave it at home because it makes him feel a lot braver

🌻 what little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? what tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

vincent notices other people's smiles a lot! he tends to be on the lookout for it, because he wants to know what makes them smile so he can make a mental note of it to make them smile more often :) he also notices people's nervous tics, which is not really a thing that makes him happy or anything but it's something he also makes a mental note of so he knows what to look out for when worrying if someone is stressed- and at the same time he also keeps track of things that cause people to become stressed, so he can try to minimize their stress levels whenever possible

vincent really enjoys watching the sunrise and sunset every day. he likes to watch the sky turn different colors and thinks it's interesting how it looks different every day, because of the weather or the place he happens to be at, at that moment. he prefers to watch both rather than just one of the two; it's like a reminder for him that he's still alive, and that tomorrow the sun will rise again and he'll be there to see that happen again :) <3

I said I'd make a post detailing my kid Asra working for Lucio theory in this post so here it is! 

So Let's get STARDED.

So! To start off, how it began. We do know when Asra and Muriel were kids, Lucio came to them each seperately with a deal.

Essentially: work for me, or I'll hurt your friend.

This was the sentiment he repeated for both of them. So, not wanting the other to be harmed, they both agree - unaware of the other's deal.

For Muriel, it was playing heel/excecutioner at the coleseium. For Asra, it was doing... Well, we never know, aside from he worked under Lucio. But that's what we are here to discuss in any case.

Now presumably, if I got my timeline right, Asra at this time would've been around 12 or 13. We don't know much about how Asra was when he was younger, other than that he has certainly changed.

It's also worth noting that it's not amiss to say they were both also still homeless at the time, and the hut hadn't come into the play until after.

Asra was still living on the streets.

This all isn't overly important for any of my claims later, but perhaps someone else could make something of it. It does provide us with some framing for the situation as a whole, though.

Now onto Asra's time under Lucio. I don't know that we have any indication of how long it was, but presumably at least a year if not more.

We do also know that Lucio knew who Asra was. Both in that he knew Aisha and Salim had a kid, and that he knew Asra was said kid.

This is bring this up because we know Aisha and Salim were incredibly talented, and likely incredibly powerful. Lucio wouldn't settle for any run of the mill magician or alchemist for the work he needed. So he must've had some idea that Asra may take after that power as well.

To top it off, he also interacted and talked with the dock kids he also used, (two of which would actually later become palace guards,) and seeing as this is seemingly how he learned of Muriel, it's not off to think that this is also how he heard of Asra again to start. The kids knew of Asra's magic, and roughly where he was, and could've even continued talking about both Muriel and Asra to Lucio for unknown amounts of time.

So now Lucio knows that the kid of his two powerful practitioners of magic is not only still around, but taking after them as well.

If Muriel's intimidating size and physical power are what drew Lucio to him, why wouldn't Asra's considerable metaphysical power and talents draw Lucio in as well?

We know how much Lucio loves power, and that he has an interest in magic because of it, as mentioned in the main story. (no ss sorry... If you have one send so I can add. )

Plus, homeless kid in a vulnerable spot. Easy pickings.

That's what I think this whole thing was about, really. It's all power. Though Asra likely didn't have the full scope of power he does in the current game, he was probably still considerably talented, and was only getting better.

What Lucio specifically probably wanted from Asra then was either to be taught how to use that power, to use Asra for things that required it, and/or use his power for entertainment akin to how he used Muriel.

I think out of these however, using him for his power was most likely. Why? (And teaching him now, more on that further down)

These are screenshots from the old prologue. While they're not canon any more, there's reason to believe they still hold merit as to how Lucio feels about Asra.

Two things to me are major here. First is the "powerful potent magic," and how it's the "real deal," equating to a large part of how he views Asra yet again tying back to a heavy interest in his power. Now, you could argue this relates to using his powers in the palace during the plague, but the second point stands out even more to me.

"The one who broke him for me?"

What this implies to me is that Lucio could never quite get all the way through to Asra or control him when he was younger, and he's been dying to do so. He wanted Asra broken, presumably so that he'll become essentially a tool for him to use for his skill and not put up a fight- something Asra likely did as a child.

Because it seems that Lucio for the most part relied on control through fear when it came to Asra, threatening to hurt Muriel, lying to him about how he executed his parents, likely other things as well. But things seem to point to that never quite working like he had hoped.

This could allude to this as well. Though "impossible" is something Asra's been called a few times, namely also by Julian, there's no reason to assume Lucio wasn't also including his work with him as a kid in "always". Impossible to hate could be his draw to Asra for his power, his talent, his skills, the prospect of which I'm sure Lucio found practically mouthwatering. Impossible to love could be his stubbornness or reluctance to do what Lucio wants, always pushing against him or being hard to deal with, both as a kid and during the plague.

And lines like this, where he calls him a coward. I find it hard to relate this to the plague ritual as he was for the most part willingly helping with that, so it could be resenment for when Asra eventually ran off as a kid, unwilling to put up with him any longer, or his reluctance to do certain things for him then in general.

We know, and it has even been mentioned by a character within the canon, that Asra can be incredibly stubborn, to back that up. Plus, he could've been even harder to work with then both being a kid and as I mentioned earlier he has changed from how he was then, so he could've had more spunk to him or such.

This also easily means that what Lucio was trying to get Asra to do then was something Asra was quite obviously opposed to. Being used for his power is already degrading enough, but there could be more to it.

You'll notice in the post that was linked at the top (the reason I'm writing this) I mentioned pushing Asra to his physical limits and magical extremes. This could be one of the reasons for a push back.

If Lucio was having Asra do things for him involving magic, it's not out of pocket to assume he'd practically run him into the ground- I'm sure he really wouldve loved testing the limits of what Asra could REALLY do.

Wether it be huge expendure of power all at once, or tons of smaller things one after the other, it would absolutely take it's toll. We are shown a few times that using magic can exhaust someone, and I don't remember if this is shown in canon ever (tell me if so!) but pushing it even further could definitely lead to other things such as passing out, (Or nosebleeds, for the aesthetic,) alongside likely being incredibly painful and draining, both mentally and physically.

Basically, abusing his powers and the body that commanded them. It's also possible that the stubborness to work with Lucio could also be partially percieved because of this- Lucio taking Asra's literal physical inability to continue as defiance.

Another reason for push back from Asra would be making him do morally compromising things. This is a little more vague, but intimidation is a common headcanon I see for what Lucio made Asra do, and that could tie in here. Other things could be meddling in things and business he shouldn't, but again, it's a vague thing. Make of it what you will. Fucked up stuff all around.

...I cannot BELIEVE I forgot this, I KNEW I was missing something. Especially when I was fairly certain I remember Lucio being obsessed with the idea of magic. SO, MOVING ON,

There's not terribly much to pick apart here as it's rather direct- Asra saying he has in fact tried to teach Lucio magic. So in my eyes this solidifies that this was a component of Asra's time under Lucio. I still think my points about Lucio treatment (pushing Asra to his limits) stand, as well.

This can also tie in the stubborness mentioned as, well, can you imagine teaching Lucio? Asra backs this up by saying nothing he has ever said stuck with Lucio, and you know how Lucio gets when things don't go his way. He would've blamed his inability to learn on Asra, likely.

Looking to other quotes mentioned: the 'broke him' line still rings to me like he was trying to use Asra in other ways, and the 'coward' line could go either way from refusing to teach Lucio certain things, or refusing to do certain things for Lucio when he was merely being used. The "impossible" line could also go for others, as trying to teach someone like Lucio would've undoubtedly caused some head butting.

This is certainly really exciting and interesting to me as it gives a more complete picture on the exact situation at hand here. I still stay by my reasoning for Lucio simply using Asra as well on top of being taught because it seems highly likely that Lucio would've been too impatient to learn to do certain things himself, and like I said as well, I don't doubt he also just wanted to see what Asra was REALLY capable of. Something he could've saw as a tantalizing insight into the kind of power he could aquire of this kid would just... work with him.

NOW we have a MUCH clearer answer as to what exactly Asra was likely doing under Lucio, or at this point, almost certainly doing. It's a sad picture for Asra of course, but with this you can draw some interesting points as to how he could've been affected by this, as I'm sure it would've left some kind of imprint on him.

Sure it may not have been as traumatic as what Muriel went through, but when you look at it, it's hard to say it DIDN'T leave it's scars. If we consider all the points presented in this post truth we have:

A 12/13 yo homeless child, threatened with his friend's life to work for the Count that he knew was the one responsible for orphaning him and making him homeless in the first place.

Said child believing his parents are still alive, and as we see in Travel at Night, could very likely still be trying to find them. In a situation like Asra's that glimmer of hope probably was a big deal in helping him push on. This may also be a reason he agreed on top of Muriel's safety.

While working under the count, he is told that his parents were executed, no doubt devastating. The manner in which this was mentioned is up for debate, and could affect exactly how it was taken. Options could be Lucio joking or bragging about it (treating it as trivial or an accomplishment), or using it to threaten Asra, (as in I killed your parents, I'll kill you too,) both would work when it comes to controlling by fear.

It is also mentioned that Lucio told him the reason for his parents execution is that they messed up his gold arm, so Asra also has the knowledge that his parents were killed over something so unbelievably trivial.

Being used as a source of power and nothing else, both for teaching and pure work/entertainment, all for the man who killed his parents, day after day.

Being pushed to physically painful and mentally draining limits, expending so much energy that he completely exhausts himself, day after day.

Likely taking all sorts of verbal abuse from Lucio, day after day.

Like mentioned earlier, it seems clear that Lucio wanted to break Asra, so some other form of trying to chip away at his psyche to make him more convenient for Lucio is likely as well.

Those points alone, to yet again a CHILD no less, seem more than enough to cause some traumatic impact, and depending on certain specifics of what exactly went on during that time, it could be worse. I may make a post looking into the long lasting effects of this on Asra, I may not. It would mostly be headcanon regardless. If you want to add your hc relating to this situation though, I'll gladly reblog it!

And now that we are closing out, it's time to revise my summary. So, without further ado, THIS is what I think was going on during this time.

Lucio knows of Asras existence and parentage.

Lucio learns Asra is around and that he's got power.

Lucio LOVES power, so he threatens Asra into working for him.

Lucio uses Asra for his power and to be taught how to use it for himself.

While using Asra for his knowledge and power, runs him into the ground by pushing his limits to physical and magical degrees, possibly even moral.

Asra pushes back against a lot of this, or is at least percieved to, frustrating Lucio.

Lucio does what he can to try and control Asra even more, primarily via fear, but can't seem to crack him.

Eventually it's too much, and Asra leaves. Likely when the plague hit like Muriel, but it's possible it could've been somewhat sooner. Lucio is PISSED, because he wanted that magical power all to himself.

Less related, I can see Lucio trying to brush it off and pretending to be fine with it, excuse being "he was too difficult to work with, anyways," or something.

...And then... years later, as far as Lucio sees it, Asra comes crawling back- and he's tamed down to a degree! He's actually working with him. Lucio might not know what or who did it, but Asra is finally broke for him, and I'm sure he was absolutely ecstatic to have that power back in his hands- and more than ever before.

Think of all of this as you would like!

At the end this is all still speculative, so definitely feel free to make your own points or say if you feel any different abt anything- expansions or counters on this theory/headcanon welcome!

so. Earlier I made a post abt Cori and Tantomile, with the focus/intent being to illustrate the general disposition I think Cori has, and why, along with introducing the disconnect that keeps him and Tanto feeling like their own characters despite how foundational their symmetry is blah blah blah headcanons.

Well I'll be real, as much as that was to break the ice on the characters as themselves, it's also bc I wanna be able to chew on my ships for them a bit more. Namely, Jemipat.

Bc for me, Jemipat was born from a tiny interaction during the entracte in the Madrid Proshot. The twins and Jem see each other and begin moving to meet. Tantomile stops but Coricopat keeps going, reaching out his head as if to nuzzle. But he gets nervous and breaks away, with Jemima waiting for him to do what he wanted to do; following him with her eyes and a smile on her face.

For actual onstage moments aside from that, I mean. There's the end of Moments of Happiness except for the fact that he doesn't touch her. He touches the ground, tantomile touches him, and then grabs jemibub's Paw.

But that actually works v well for me. Bc this ship is one of many based on vibes and hcs, and this indirect contact works.

If the friction between Tanto and Cori as concerns their mysticism stems from Tantomile's desire to be socially active clashing with Coricopat's desire to hunker down and get to the root of their differences so as to eliminate social failures, then Jemibub enters into the equation on Coricopat's end to move him into a level of compromise.

Bc Jemibub is a mystical cat to me. And beyond deut, who has the weakest abilities of all 4, she never knew anyone else with these experiences until the twins. Her main network has been Deme, Bomba, Electra, Platometus, and occasionally Munk and Alonzo. Aka, a whole Lotta normies. Pounce carbucketty has magic but no extrasensory abilities. Misto has some, but he keeps it close to his chest. Victoria is abt the same level as Deut, and has just genuinely never thought to bring it up.

So when Jemibub meets the twins, the connection is with Coricopat right away. Here's someone who sees all the weird shit she sees and is also trying to make sense of it. But they both differ in approach. Cori gets locked up in his own head, while Jemibub is naturally exploratory in nature. She wants to find the answers by getting out and doing.

And Cori is drawn to her, but he's also overwhelmed, somewhat. He's been so withdrawn, so isolated, and now there's someone who shares this core Otherness, but is going out, socializing, acknowledging the weird shit around ppl who can't even see it—even tantomile doesn't do that when she's in social mode.

And Jemibub has been starving for anyone who understands the way she sees the world; anyone who might have additional perspectives to offer and help each other navigate easier. Bc Electra is a great sister. She is! And they're both always down to do things with each other, for each other, but this is a fundamental disconnect. Electra can't understand this. And Jemibub doesnt want to portray it like its some bad thing that her sister should feel lucky she doesnt deal with, but nor does she want to make it out like its dome awesome blessing bc its not that either. Its just. Different. And weird. But bringing it up too often around her sister makes both of them unhappy the older they've gotten. They used to try and figure out the mystery of it all together when they were little but now it'll be like. Jemibub makes an observation that only she can notice and if it pertains to Electra she'll throw up the ok sign.

And so Jemibub sees an experiment partner in Cori. She sees the chance to have that bond with someone again, and this time, her partner can actually know what's being observed. He sees it too. He smells it, he hears it, he tastes it.

But she's gotta push him along sometimes. And he's been so scared of making mistakes while socializing that he has basically no practice at it. So even without his main excuse of the sensory disconnect, he's scared he'll make a fool of himself in general. So he backs out a lot. Hides behind his sister sometimes. Takes sudden rain checks because he justvsaid something really cheesy and oh my God she thinks you're so stupid and—

So it's a bit of a waiting game.

But once they do really get started as a pair-and i think it's something they basically just fall into without ever making a statement-i mean cri isn't suddenly great at being social; he doesn't suddenly love talking to people. But he does sustain longer conversations. He's more willing to show vulnerability. And around Jemibub he feels safe to be dumb. He doesn't need to think through his sentences. He can call apples crunchy red balloon fruit if he forgets the word, and most importantly he stops framing their Otherness as a problem to be solved and more as, well. A continuous source of learning.

And I've mainly been looking thru the dynamic of the pairs they get started thru coricopat's perspective here but that's bc I. Literally just made my breakthrough on his relationship-defining character attribute hmvfujbffihddt. I've already had many thoughts on jemibub, as an individual and with her friend group, so it'll be a matter of combining those with the nature of her and Cori as a pair and testing out what I think comes of that.

On the matter of your illustrations, THEY ARE SO COOL, the extra eyes, mouths, teeth 👌👌👌 the angel form is very friend shaped. Oh the change of proportions in the ac character sheet, i know it was probs you trying different styles but it looks like just body just does that.

u dont have to worry abt messing things up with bin: they're a weirdo, for sure, and they dont know how People or the World works, but theyre like. also fucking intense in their own way. theyre very point-blank and they are very accepting of others and their Behaviors, they dont mind being asked questions, and theyre very, very good at setting boundaries and respecting them. they have a weird amount of patience, but thats in part because one has to be really patient to deal with them. what im saying is that if anyone might get scared off, its most likely going to be u fhdsfhdshfdsh
