I've come to notice that Little Nightmares so far, when it's centered around the supporting child mcs of spinoffs or DLCs --RK and RCG, it ALWAYS ends in a tragedy where they die. Because in both literal and figurative sense of the games, they're not important in the grand scheme of things. They're meant to give you an insight of how the world functions outside of the MC's general perspective; expand the worldbuilding of Nowhere and it's inhabitants. Nothing more, nothing less.

And when they've done their job, what do you do with unimportant things that no longer serve a purpose? Throw them away, of course.

But when it's main game mcs; i.e, Six and Mono, they have this complex, thought-provoking endings that give you a sense of hopelessness and melancholy after overcoming the worst trials, one where you'd initially think a black and white scenario first, but as you start analyzing each detail, you'd see that it's a much more complicated reasoning than that.

There is no definitive answer as to why Mono remains within the confines of the Signal Tower, and why Six left him there for dead in the first place.

And there is no definitive answer at what Six's fate is either, after the events of Little Nightmares 1. All we know so far is that she has to go back into the bowels of The Maw, for now at least.

In fact, I'm willing to bet that Little Nightmares 3's ending may end in something similar. Hopelessness after the climax of the battle, perhaps a little twist where after some questions are answered, new ones pop up. God I hope Supermassive Games doesn't mess this up. I would HATE that.

Just as Mono remains in the literal belly of the Beast that is The Signal Tower's flesh walls, Six is momentarily stuck in the belly of a roaring, mechanical beast called The Maw.

NO, THE FOGHORN THAT SOUNDS WHEN YOU PRESS ENTER DOES NOT MEAN THERE'S ANOTHER SHIP!!!! BECAUSE THE MAW IS FULLY SUBMERGED IN THIS!!!! THE FOGHORN IMPLIED THAT THE SHIP THAT WAS DELIVERING GUESTS ON BOARD JUST LEFT!!!! STOP SAYING THIS IS ANOTHER SHIP!!!!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR LITERAL YEARS AND EVERYTIME, IT FEELS LIKE I'M SCREAMING AT A BRICK WALL!!!

If you *critically* think about it, it ABSOLUTELY MAKES NO SENSE THAT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER SHIP THAT'S ARRIVING.

Because:

The Maw is fully submerged at this point.

We are very much shown that The Maw ONLY accepts Guests WHEN the top part/the "mouth" has emerged. As shown in this sequence of the game, and in the concept art.

It's stated that The Maw "arrives" ONCE a year. NEVER in the same place, but ALWAYS at the same time. SO NO, IT'S *NOT* ACCEPTING GUESTS OVER BECAUSE IT'S CLEARLY FULLY SETTLED BACK DOWN AGAIN. WHY WOULD IT WASTE RESOURCES TO SUBMERGE ITSELF IF IT WAS GOING TO RE-EMERGE AGAIN MOMENTS LATER.

The door Six exits out of is likely a maintenance door; for cleaning the Chimney in case of blockage. Especially because of the fact that there is a visible staircase that leads up to the smokestack. PLUS, IF IT WERE FOR THE GUESTS TO COME THROUGH; WHY IS IT A SLIM ENTRANCE UNLIKE THE ACTUAL ENTRANCE OF THE MAW? BECAUSE IT'S ONLY MEANT FOR WORKERS LIKE ROGER/THE JANITOR.

It's heavily implied that while Six and The Lady aren't related, nor are they stuck in a time-loop-- coughcoughlikeMonoandtheThinManCOUGH-- it's still possible that Six is intended to be The Next Lady of the Maw. Mostly because of the whole boss fight that doesn't really resemble a fight, but moreso a ritualistic passing of the torch. And the implications of multiple Ladies existing throughout the millenia.

To be clear; I don't think Six will be stuck inside The Maw for long. As her description states, she belongs elsewhere.

Which could mean that my girl *might* make a comeback for LN3, but I wouldn't hold it against Supermassive Games if LN3 doesn't even make a single cameo towards Six/making her appear. Because either way, I fully understand each outcome.

smth about blaze and shadow is that they're also narrative foils to each other

while they're both high gem nobility (with shadow being the highest social class because he's a diamond) blaze holds on to her social standing because she was taught that was the most important thing she has while shadow actively shuns and rebels against his social standing.

they both carry themselves very highly for different reasons; blaze carries herself high because she was taught that any weakness was bad and in a way where she inadvertently looks down on people, while shadow does so because he's a leader to the other CGs and does so in a way where he's on equal footing with others. blaze actually does start carrying herself to be more like shadow once she breaks away from homeworld, before she realizes it feels much better to just act like how she wants to act.
