Ok, my dear fellow scarahidas, I'm curious: what did you guys rename your Wanderer? Tag/comment/reply/whatever with the answer!
Did anyone else give him a ship name? I named him Melvaz-Ameryu; Melvaz meaning "bride" and Ameryu meaning "dreams/memories" (so Wanderer is the bride of the god of dreams, who also held his memories lol) because I was already head-over-heels for scarahida before I even got to the naming screen. ♡

They're such a good eater <3#When I first got them their abdomen was much smaller than their thorax and now they're rather on the thick side lol#I was only planning to give them two crickets today but one escaped containment and I didn't notice while hunting the second one#I am also - so bad at using feeding tongs lol#It's a process#Hhh I don't want them to grow up too fast but I'd also love to get them in the clear plastic enclosure real soon!#Tarantulas are display pets and I can't see my baby! I'm happy they're so industrious and eating well but I want to see!!#Doesn't help that the lighting is sub-optimal lol so far only my iPod seems capable of penetrating that ever-so-slightly clouded plastic#Maybe I should move them out of the glass enclosure - it's added security so they don't accidentally fall from being knocked about#But I mean they are on a bookshelf it's pretty unlikely that they'd fall...none of the books have so far#Even the ones that aren't shelved correctly don't get moved much#I dunno I'm just being an overprotective new parent I think :') I mean it hasn't even been a week since I brought them home!#The most important thing is their safety and health uwu Although I can't imagine the stress of echoey noises inside there is all that fun#Thanks goodness the crickets are quiet or that would be torture for everyone - loud prey for them and loud roommates for us
