dates are actually pretty regular. don’t get me wrong, you both have pretty hectic schedules, and yours are pretty random because you never know which city you need to be in next but since you both don’t like doing as much interviews/variety shows as your counterparts, you use that time on dates!

you guys reserve 1- sometimes 2 hour tours at those interactive park places (where you can hold/feel animals etc) and takes lots of pictures for each other (which means matching lovestagram!!!) , you guys go on secretive sauna dates to catch up on your work weeks, and hang out at each other’s apartment while eating your fav food at odd hours lol!

you both are very private people by nature so you guys leave 0 trace behind when planning dates etc like everyone is signing NDA's lol! so dispatch (and your fans) may have a feeling, but they have no proof.

I like to think Bonnie often goes off on his guitar during live performances (leaning towards it sounding like heavy metal) n often forgets he's playing for children LMAO

Whenever Kamisato Ayato is forced tasked to go along on Ansy’s expeditions, he looks forward to seeing Chongyun. He thinks of him as good person. Oftentimes, Ayato finds himself observing Chongyun’s practices. In times when there is not much to do but idle, the lord helps the exorcist memorize his lines.

“Save, save, save— think about it like this: who are you trying to save? Picture their image in your head and I assure you, you will never forget the last part of that mantra again.”

“Mind be purged, world be saved… If you were me, who would you be thinking of, Lord Kamisato?”

“*chuckles* Well, that much is obvious, is it not?”

“Hmm… You’re thinking about your family and clan, right?”

“Oh no, I was thinking about Ansy.”

“Really?”

“No.”

They both trust each other, even when most of their interactions are done in silence. Chongyun has undeniable respect for Ayato since they are both heirs to their clan, and in turn, Ayato sees another sibling and friend whenever he fights alongside him.

“As you said, you’ve placed your trust in me, Lord Kamisato! I must not disappoint you.”

“Very well then, I shall go along with this proposal. Let’s see to it that this expedition will go smoothly.”

“What on earth are you two doing…? Ayato, why is Chongyun sleeping on the table?” Ansy sighed, looking at the wiped-out exorcist. They pressed the back of their palm against his sweaty forehead, paling as they noticed how warm he was. “W-Wait… Did he forget his popsicles? Oh, shucks—”

Kamisato Ayato shrugged but didn’t dare break his gaze at the pot he was stirring before Ansy even entered the teapot.

“I’m not sure, I just had him taste the milk tea I made. I’m rather disappointed that he never got to tell me how it tasted. Perhaps he was too jaded after that expedition you sent him on.”

“Jaded…?”

Ansy grabbed the “milk tea” Ayato prepared.

… Oh no.

“Ayato?”

“Yes, Mx. Ansy?”

“What is this?”

“You’ve told me that Chongyun has an affinity for cold-tasting foods,” Ayato said, completely unaware of his crimes. “So, I prepared him a milk tea that tastes similar to minty meat rolls. I knew you like spicy food so I procured extras for you as well—”

A resounding facepalm echoed inside Ansy’s teapot, which made Lord Kamisato more hesitant to face them.

“My Lord.”

“… Yes?”

“Never cook for him again.”

“Understood.”

Kamisato Ayato ←→ Kaedehara Kazuha

They canonically know each other and Ayato cares a ton about his subordinate clan members. There’s not much to be added here

They’d likely go on expeditions together with Kazuha in charge of directing where to go.

There’s a silent trust between these two, and considering how much everyone depends on Kazuha when it comes to exploration, he's Ayato’s number 1 advisor.

“Do you think my sister will enjoy this souvenir?”

“Depends, does the himegimi like calligraphy brushes?”

“It is one of her greatest hobbies.”

“Then I don’t see why this you shouldn’t purchase it.”

If it weren’t for Kazuha, Ayato wouldn’t be triple-crowned, honestly.

He’s Ansy’s longest MVP, and the Yashiro Commissioner acknowledges that.

“How are we fairing, Kazuha?”

“There’s a pleasant breeze…” Kazuha hummed, his chin tilted upward as he immersed himself in the soothing air around him. “And—”

“And glorious sunshine?”

“… Yes,” Kazuha opened his eyes, abruptly taken aback by Ayato’s comment. “How did you know what I was about to say next?”

“I’ve heard my sister say something similar, once or twice,” The Yashiro commissioner replied nonchalantly. “Is it from a poem? I’m afraid I may not be as well-versed as my sister.”

That’s most likely a lie, but Kazuha didn’t question it.

“No, it is not.”

“Hmm, well then, I suppose you and Ayaka have something in common.”

“I wouldn’t dare compare myself to someone as great as the Shirasagi Himegimi.”

“I’m aware, that’s why I’m doing it for you. You have an interesting way of speaking, Kazuha. I hope your artistic talents continue to flourish, no matter how far from home you may be.”

Chongyun ←→ Kaedehara Kazuha

Probably the only person Ansy trusts with helping Chongyun calm his Yang energy down.

Unlike Diona who seems incredibly excited and Ayato who sounds melancholic when it snows, Kazuha's rather calm whenever it occurs.

Chongyun loves going to Dragonspine with Kazuha. All Kazuha needs to do is sleep ("undisturbed") while he meditates. His presence is enough.

Chongyun and Kazuha most definitely meditate together. They would talk about rocks and recommend which places feel nice to sit on.

"Is this the place?"

"Yes!" Chongyun gestured to the rock happily. 

Wordlessly, both of them had trekked Guyun Stone Forest. Kazuha did not question where the exorcist was leading him, but the scent of the wind was familiar enough to inform him that this was near Beidou's ship, and that it was also...

"The place an arrow nearly hit me."

"Huh?"

"This was also the place where an arrow nearly hit me," Kazuha nodded solemnly, not seeing Chongyun's shocked expression behind him. "They thought simply because I was busy making a haiku, they'd have a shot at taking me down."

"O-Oh! I'm so sorry I didn't-"

"This is a wonderful spot, Chongyun," Kazuha smiled softly. "Let's both rest here."

"-know this was a bad location... Wait, what?"

Kamisato Ayato ←→ Diona

“I’m no stickler for doing things in a… certain way. Just be aware that whatever method you use, the important thing is that it delivers… acceptable results.”

“Oh, shush! These hilichurls will go down in just a few “pew pews!” Just wait, ya hound!”

“Being called a dog… Haha, how endearing.”

Unlike Chongyun, Diona and Ayato are unlikely to get along without a snark of condescension from either party. Ayato, unlike Diona, has never stated upfront that he finds her unpleasant to work with, but they make a fantastic team. Diona has saved him countless times, and it’s natural for him to feel indebted to her in some ways.

This is to say: Ayato plays the test subject by drinking her supposedly-garbage concoctions before feeling disappointed that it tastes “normal.”

“Wanna join me, Lord Kamisato? We have an event at Cat’s Tail this week.”

“It is for the best that I sit this one out. I’m a lot more fond of dogs than cats so I will only feel isolated should I—”

“It’s a TCG event~” 

”I see. I was under the impression that this would be about felines and drinks. Please, do list down my name in this event.”

“Nyehe, saw this one coming.”

This is dogs vs cats. Although Ayato wouldn’t stoop low as to “fight” a child, it’s guaranteed that their TCG battles will make the room drop a few degrees.

“Aaaand +2 heal!”

“Marvelous. I have not thought of doing that play before…”

“Hehe, never underestimate a Kätzlein girl ever again!”

That pose, that phrase, that pride— yes, this certainly reminds Kamisato Ayato of someone.

She thinks just like Arataki Itto.

“Checkmate. That was a splendid match, Ms. Diona.”

“WHAT?! H-How… How did I—” Diona bit her lip. “Wait, hold on! I was just going easy on you, sit back down!!!”

He smirked behind his hand.

Ah, what an interesting kid… Perhaps it’ll be for the best if she didn’t know the full extent of his political prowess, just like Itto—

“Hey, hey! Why are ya’ll having fun without us?!”

Ayato pulled out his chair. The two did not look impressed but for different reasons; Itto mentally branded him a traitor for not playing games with him whereas Ansy thought it was uncouth for their lord to just randomly leave the inn without prior notice. Ayato gave both Itto and Ansy a friendly wave before gazing at the astonished cat once more.

“Beat him and Ansy, and we shall have a rematch, Ms. Diona.”

“Hmph, wipe off that smirk from your face! Just you wait, ya hound!!!”

Chongyun and Diona are incredibly fast workers. Together, they inspire Ayato to act as a better role model (Diona's skill increases speed + Chongyun makes normal attacks faster).

Outside of exploration? They don’t know how to talk to each other.

Diona likely wants to befriend Chongyun, but unfortunately, the boy takes her rants to heart. He genuinely thinks Diona hates him. 

She just doesn’t know how to show her appreciation for a kind brotherly figure.

“Kids, are you two alright?”

“Mx. Ansy!” Chongyun beamed. “You’ve returned— Diona and I took it upon ourselves to help you clean off the hilichurl camp near our tent.”

“Aww, that’s cute, you two!”

“No, it wasn’t cute!” Diona hissed. “He kept charging at enemies when he couldn’t even get his burst ready.”

“I-I just wanted to save you from the samachurl…”

“Hmph! Whatever! You should be happy I got this favonious warbow.”

“Well, Chongyun has a good weapon too, you know?”

“NO, HE DOESN’T!!! WHY DID YOU GIVE HIM A GIANT FISH?!—”

… Based on Ansy’s experiences, Diona would often forget to shield Kazuha. Or, at least, the shield countdown runs out when it switches out to him cause Kazuha is honestly the only person that dies in this team—

It’s rare! Of course! But Kazuha has been somewhat unlucky each time.

Diona has no intention of hurting him since he’s one of the rare pirates who never get drunk (granted, that’s because Captain Beidou won’t let him)

The cat always feels sorry whenever Kazuha has to stand in her circle to get himself patched up.

It’s cute. Promise.

“Ooooh…” Diona whimpered, not knowing how to vocalize her apologies.

Kazuha chuckled, ruffling her hair with his bandaged hand, “it’s alright. Let’s head off with the others, Diona.”

“But…”

“I’m fine, see?” Kazuha raises his arm, relaxing his joints. “I can use my sword just fine, smooth sailing.”

“But if I did heal you perfectly, then why do you always have your hand bandaged?”

Kazuha frowned.

“That’s…”

His gaze lowered.

“It’s not your fault.”

“Then why—”

“And it’s not my fault either.”

Kazuha said. Diona’s no longer sure what he was talking about.

“He wanted to challenge the Shogun for the sake of change. These scars are not mere wounds but a symbol of what heroics he had done for our homeland.”

“I… I don’t get it.”

He ruffled her hair again.

“In short, vision marks are scars you should never apologize for. You’ll understand when you’re older.”

Ansy ←→ Kamisato Ayato + Diona

Will (mentally) perish if stuck with just Ayato and Diona alone. Once the two stop their banter, THEY’RE the ones getting bullied.

“Ansy, have you ever thought about, I dunno, combing your hair?”

“W-What? But I did comb it though…”

“Hmm, perhaps I should add skin and hair products as one of my employee benefits.”

“My lord?!”

Unfortunately, as one of Kamisato Ayato’s retainers, Ansy couldn’t make a sassy retort towards any of their teasings. Even if they have the “pass”, they’re not evil enough to challenge a commissioner and a child in a “debate.” Maybe next time… When they finally add Dainsleif to their party.

“Just you two wait… Once my husband comes home, I’ll disband this team!”

“W-Wait, c’mon Ansy, we were just kidding!!!”

Kazuha and Ansy have been friends the longest since he’s their first 5-star who came home at around 60 pulls. He’s the most used character they have in domains based on Hoyo’s old web events. They both write and draw together to pass the time.

Ansy treats light-haired characters like family, even more so if they have reddish eyes (The chaotic team Lupical: C6 Razor, Itto, Kazuha, Cyno [and their responsible sister C3 Ningguang]). Kazuha is the only one in this team that they outright call their bestie/son/brother depending on their mood. Being comrades since 1.6, they would likely die for each other (platonic).

“Kazuha, you know that I would never replace you, right?”

“It’s okay, Ansy. You can substitute Yunjin in my place for the spiral abyss. I know you worked hard to complete her constellations. I would never be mad at you.”

“*sobs* I can’t… I’ll put you on Ayaka’s team instead…”

“*sigh* I knew you would never let me rest.”

Ansy ←→ Chongyun

DISASTROUS UNCLE/WINE AUNT MODE ACTIVATED. Ansy thinks of Chongyun as some sort of nephew or cousin to their beloved son Razor. Whenever Chongyun is hurt, they are quick to switch out Diona (so she can take damage lol) for the sake of shields and heals. They adore his wholesomeness and get overprotective when Chongyun is subjected to Xingqiu’s teasing and pranks. Shenhe and Ansy would work together to scare Xingqiu off whenever he goes too far, but Ansy never pulled for Shenhe so their interactions are limited…

They have a smile on their face every time Chongyun glides. He seems happy, so that also makes Ansy happy.

“Dear, what’s wrong?”

“Xingqiu spiked my drink with chilis in Wanmin restaurant again…”

“*cracks knuckles* Hoho, I see. What a fun practical joke indeed! Let me return the favor with even more pranks then!”

“W-Wait, Mx. Ansy, don’t—”

obviously i want nat to be friends with the entire team (at least varsity) but realistically..... the only people i genuinely see her canonly vibing with pre crash, are van, lottie, mari, and maybe shauna sometimes. id love her and jackie to be friends but obviously that was.. not the case lol, and as much as i wish she and tai were also close, tai was like. a bitch to her thru the entire pilot so i doubt it. but anyways, i think van and lottie have the most grounds. for mari, i think shes kinda a party girl at heart and sometimes shit talks nat w the girls but she treats nat as a friend outside of that. nat thinks its fake asf but she also just figures thats the type of person mari is. shes a gossip. so nat doesnt rly care and mostly thinks mari is cool like at parties and stuff. shauna, nat thinks shes kinda pathetic but in like.. a puppy way. shes so fucking fucked over jackie and follows her around, and she never sticks up to nat with jackie, but she does when its other people. its better than what she usually gets, and shauna is ok to talk to one on one, so shes.. alright in nats book.

but with van and lottie?? lottie backing up nat, running to catch up to her after nat gets pissed, pulling tai away from nat when she was insulting her and telling her to stop, teaming up first w nat at the party (ok thats a bit of a stretch but still). basically i think theyre opposites in obvious ways but theyre both introspective and observant enough to recognize that theres relatabily between them too. i think they basically has a sort of passive friendship. they dont go out of their way to hang out one on one often, maybe naturally do sometimes, but when theyre together, team setting or not, theyre very comfortable. teasing each other and whatnot (like the bathtub scene which is canonically supposed to mirror their pre crash relationship <3). but its really just the moments in between, not a necessarily... consistent friendship? i guess? idk if this makes sense tbh. anyways now nat is sad and mad bc she thought she did kinda know lottie but didnt wanna admit it but after all the shit thats happened she feels like she doesnt know her at all and maybe never did and.. yea.

More T9S thoughts

As everyone probably already knows, I see Nate/Nikki as T9S’s Jackie/Kelso. And like I said? The first three episodes and some sweet moments proved they had potential to be more. But I personally think that’s ruined and it’s too late to fix that.

Nate almost kissed Leia and definitely would’ve gone through with it if Gwen hadn’t have walked in. And given that this literally happened three episodes after he acted like as Katie Matlin would say “a jealous jerk” about Nikki and Trevor when there was literally nothing between them. And even after that, he was clearly pining over Leia in that last scene and watching Jeia kiss in sadness with his girlfriend right next to him.

To me that’s literally unforgivable and Nikki should kick him to the fucking curb. Do I think they could’ve lasted had their relationship remained how it was the first three episodes? Yes. But after that? Fuck no. Nikki deserves so much better.

And even before that, instead of talking to Nikki about his feelings in KIA, he lied because he wanted to back Jay up and most likely he also didn’t want to fight with Nikki. Then brought it up to Leia and called Nikki “practical” for being realistic. And Leia’s response was even more annoying but I’ve talked about that.

Like why would Nikki ever be with someone like that again? Someone who doesn’t understand her ambitions and talk badly about her views on life. Fuck that. Nikki deserves so much better.

Now onto Nate/Leia…

Even though I hate the fact that they screwed over my favorite character in the finale, I do think there’s potential for them as relationship.

For starters, them having the same values and wants is a good foundation for their relationship. And they do have great chemistry imo. But another issue I have with them is that there isn’t enough substance in their relationship. What do they have aside from being hopeless romantics? There needs to be more than just similar wants in a relationship.

They definitely do have a spark and are comfortable with one another. And I love that Nate and Leia are able to cheer each other up. But what else? What does Leia like about Nate as a person? What does Nate like about Leia as a person? How do they make each other feel? What other things do they have in common aside from believing in fate?

Don’t get me wrong, that’s a very good foundation. But I also wanna see more. Even something as simple as activities they’d like to do together.

I used to not like Neia for the reason that we don’t see anything they have in common aside from the same wants in life. But honestly, I blame the writers more for not actually giving Nate and Leia more opportunities to develop a deeper connection.

I know I've called L*ndsey a Neia fangirl, but honestly looking at it now, I don’t think she cares about them much either. If she did, Nate and Leia would’ve had a lot more development and scenes with them alone early on. But that didn’t happen. Until Dirty Double Booker, Nate and Leia had little to no proper interactions when there could’ve been opportunities. For fucks sake, Leia is literally best friends with Nate’s sister. They’re in the same friend group. And I know that some bonds are stronger than others, but couldn’t they have had just a few interactions alone?

Like Jackie/Eric didn’t interact a ton, but they had some little interactions sporadically. And while I talk shit about Hyde/Donna and think they’d make a terrible couple, they had a good amount of interactions by themselves.

But, to be fair, there are 10 episodes in T9S currently and there are seven seasons of T7S. So it’s not fair to compare.

But Gwen/Leia had moments in every damn episode. Even in Boyfriend Day 1 & Summer Storm, they had a fuck ton of moments. Albeit not alone, but they still interacted and said words to each other.

Idk man I just wish Nate and Leia had more proper interactions. They have potential to be a genuine connection, but the writers seem to be having them as a plot device.

How you meet:

- you weren’t exactly friends in high school but you knew one another cause you were in the same year

- one day you two had to do a biology project together in which you had to collect some stuff in the woods (lichen or sth idk) and document it

- and you both were skeptical at first only knowing rumors about each other

How you became friends:

- while you were doing the project you got to talk a little and had actually quite some fun making photos of plants and shit

- the next time you meet at his place to write down the required information for the project

- as you did so you ordered pizza (cause who doesn’t like pizza?) and got to talk some more

- afterwards you both realized that you got quite comfortable with each other, being able to talk and laugh about basically everything

- the both of you started meeting up a lot more and he became your save haven, a person who you could share everything with and you too became is favorite person to spend his time with

- you got so comfortable with him that you decided to reveal your secret to him “Not that it is important or anything, but I think you should know and I also trust you so I wanna share this with you, I’m (insert sexuality)” you were definitely really nervous

- but no need to worry Steve got you, he probably asked some questions to understand better what you mean by it but over all 10/10 reaction

- “It doesn’t matter to me, your just the same as before. But thanks for trusting me.” He genuinely didn’t care who you liked he kind of has this ‘love is love’ and ‘you do you’ mentality

Meeting the others:

- being Steve’s best friend means meeting the party and his other friends

- they loved you and thought you were super cool

- you easily became friends with them (especially Max idk why but the bickering between her and Steve is way to funny to miss)

- being friends with them meant you got involved in the whole ‘up side down’ and monster shit which first was overwhelming but if you overlook the dangers it’s quite fun

- Steve always tries to protect you (even if you don’t want or needed it)

- that contains him always staying by your side, keeping an eye on you and trying to make you stay out of conflicts

- like he would jump in front of you and would kill for you (without thinking) if it meant keeping you save

If you had a problem (example getting outet):

- he would also protect you like that if your secret would get published

- Steve would punch everyone who looked at you wrong or was talking shit about you immediately

- he would definitely be threatening people and getting into fist fights

- but apart from that he would also be there for you of course

- he’d listen to all your worry’s and would let you cry on his shoulder or rant the whole night agreeing to everything your saying

- he 100% would buy you food and take you out for movies (or watch them at his place if you wanted to stay in)

- if you’d get kicked out he’d without a doubt let you stay at his place for as long as you needed

also i ended up actually coming up with a name for him: akira sakamoto Cus i didnt wanna have to specify his earth everytime and also itd be weird if his name was Squip UH he works at alchemex and also has a master's in chemistry & biotechnology, master's in physics, and a bachelor's in mathematical science. also at some point in the story he's probably wanted by the police (might share the reason at some point not sure !!!)

as for their relationships lets first establish where they all stand in spider-society

earth-93 jeremy: one of their programmers and basically main IT guy, though is also in the founder's close group of who they take on missions (so basically he's kind of high up in the ranking)

earth-4600 jake, earth-8002 jeremy: theyre just your average spider society member, they go around capturing anomalies and shit, nothing too special

earth-939 squip: same as the last one but also has his own lab in spider hq and earth-93 jeremy does basically all his work in there so theyre like kind of partner-colleagues

okay so basically earth-93 jeremy is work-friends with akira, he tried to just stay solely professional and friendly at first but they eventually became actual friends and have hung out outside of spider hq once or twice. earth-93 jere sees earth-8002 jere as sort of an annoying child and just tries to mostly ignore him. earth-4600 jake is his closest friend and jake will sometimes stop in while he's working and chat and they hangout the most outside of hq, though they actually dont talk *that* much at hq because jake is always out doing missions

akira and earth-8002 jeremy have this weird peter b parker/miles morales dynamic, its sort of fatherly but also not really. idk if youve seen the movies you mostly know what im talking about when i say pbp/miles morales dynamic

akira, earth-8002 jeremy and earth-4600 jake never really interact with each other much but theyre friendly w/ each other

also again if youve seen ATSV you know how lyla kind of is apart of HQ and thats what earth-93 squip is like And everyone really likes her cus she'll sometimes just go around and talk to people and help them figure things out Though she always annoys earth-93 jeremy and he really wishes she had a physical form so he could punch her LMFAO

OK so, my thoughts on the don't hug me I'm scared tv series (warning for spoilers)

I don't know how to fully organize them so I'll just start with my biggest thought

The characters (specifically the main 3) are much more fleshed out and have more defines personalities and while it's much different than the original series and was much different than I thought it would be I still love how they're characterized. They're assholes who share a brain cell but at the same time you get the idea that they still care about each other no matter how often they bicker and fight?? U know with how red guy interacts with yellow during the car scene when he was talking about living in a community in episode 5, yellow guy and red guy grieving over duck in episode 2, that one fucking scene when red guy and duck guy say they like looking at each other in 6...love wins/hj. Sure it's mainly the trio being assholes for the sake of comedy but idk those moments kinda tell me that they secretly care about one another. When it comes to the individual trio themselves they're wonderful, duck guy is this fussy unhinged chipper asshole and is the funniest character of this series,every time he yells or says something out of left field in episode 2, it always kills me I love him. Red guy is an absolute blorbo, he's much more different than he was in the YouTube series,he has more emotion and enthusiasm in his voice instead of being monotone and bored sounding which felt surreal to hear but I got used to it pretty quickly,its still deep and calm sounding but I don't mind the change, he has a similar wacky quirk to him like the other 2 characters but is still more of a middle man and is much nicer than them,he's pretty dorky,weirdly friendly and just really laid back and awkward,and I love him <3, I loved him in the YouTube series and I love him even more in the tv show. Yellow guy is an interesting case,he's kind of a punching bag when it comes to some of the shows jokes especially when it comes to the trio but hsi personality is much more close to his pilot counterpart, he's naive,innocent and child like but has a sense of edge to him like when he literally hit duck with broken glass the end of ep 4, he's also more blunt? I love him alot and his role in the 6th episode is something I think about alot.. if you know then u know..

Another thing I wanna talk about is pretty much the tone and changes the tv show has in contrast to the web series

This series is more focused on comedy with the banter between the cast and also the surreal humor being put up to 11 which is the best parts of the show, its much more fast paced and wacky which is super entertaining, it still had the horror from the original series and while I perfer the more eerie horror of the web show the tv show is amazingly terrifying,it's much more gory and you get this sense of dread when your further in the episode and it really makes you uncomfortable at points like the end of episode 5 or just the entirety of episode 2,like Roy being implied to have cannibalized the family in the end is genuinely scary like Jesus christ 😭. I appreciate how it kept the spirit of the show in general even if it's much different than its counterpart and it just feels like don't hug me I'm scared.

And I also wanna talk about the production value of the show and God is it amazing

I love the different art mediums the show uses,like 2d animation,stop motion, claymation,it makes the series much more unique and it's just so well done, the set design is great, and everyone looks so colorful it makes me so happy, off topic is but I love the references and fanservice the show gives like teacher cameos and references to iconic lines from the web show, like pesky bee, the old teachers like tony,Colin, the fucking lamp, and even the steak guy at one point,it's fun Easter eggs for fans while also being enjoyable for newcomers, everything looks so polished.

And last thing I wanna talk about is the story, like the original show,shit hits the fan during the later episodes but are hinted with the continuous shenanigans with the teachers, it starts getting real with episode 5 and I genuinely got really invested,wondering what will happen next and man the ending is something I won't stop thinking about aside from the scene with the gay puppets, I wanna know more about Lesley and how the whole thing shoe does works because she seems so interesting and I hope that they're would be more episodes so we could know more about her

So those are my thoughts on the series, tldr it's freaking wonderful and worth the 6 years of waiting,it might have alot of differences from the web series but there's something for fans like myself to enjoy! I loved it alot and I'm just so happy this show got to see the light of day <3

This is gonna be a LONG one I think, so i'll put it under the cut for ease of reading (though I don't know if that helps or not haha)

I'll start out by giving a very basic timeline to XD and Dream's realtionship.

So XD came to the Overworld with Dream and Drista to give them a better future. Suddenly going from near no one to interact with to a whole world of people, Dream became overwhelmed with excitement. He wanted to explore and travel and see and meet everyone but XD and Drista were fine to keep their circle small.

Eventually, as Dream gets older, he does get more distant from his siblings. He meets others, wants to spend time with them and talk. He really only came home to sleep and then was out again with friends the next morning. XD could see Dream’s distance was caused by these new friends and experiences and didn’t want to sour Dream’s exploration. He gave Dream space but would still ask for his brother to come home or spend time with the family which Dream always waved off as he was busy with friends. Dream became old enough to move out, Drista then decided she wanted to stay in the Godly Realm and XD stayed on the Overworld but would visit Drista often. With each attempt XD had trying to talk/spend time with Dream being brushed off, XD accepted his fate as always being Dream’s brother, but never being close to him which hurt XD. XD resided himself to be a God/Overseer of things on the Overworld, specifically at the DSMP area. He’d try and keep a Godly distance with it though so his judgement was never swayed so he made no friends and tired to keep out of the DSMP’s business.

Eventually, Dream realised XD was no longer checking in on him or asking him to spend time. Even though Dream always rejected it before, he still noticed when he wouldn’t be asked and believed XD was starting to distance himself because he didn’t want to see Dream anyone. Anytime they did interact, it would be awkward and distant so Dream believed that’s what XD wanted. A classic misunderstanding.

I tried to keep Dream close to canon as possible but that’s just so hard lol especially when we had so little info to work on for years. Basically the reasoning for Dream’s action is still control. He liked being in control of this community he grew with his friends and he liked it when people looked up to him for it. He didn’t like people making their own parties and governments and elections. He wants control because he thinks that’s the only way he can keep his friends safe. He wants to keep things close to him to protect them. He sews seeds of chaos to swoop in for control but it obviously goes wrong. As for XD’s thoughts on it, he tries not to think about it. He’s trying so hard to keep his Godly, distant relationship to anything but it was rapidly failing. He was beginning to develop a friendship for George and slowly talking with Dream again, and getting to know others on the server with helping/saving them. He keeps himself out of the hard stuff going on even though it kills him to do so. He hates seeing Dream act like this and hates hearing stories from people who despise his brother. He wants to keep his brother away for safety but he also wants to let Dream make his own decisions. I imagine XD has probably asked Dream why he is acting like this and Dream wouldn’t have answered him. Just vague “it’s what’s right” or “I have a plan that’ll work” answers. XD was probably close to acting on it when he found out that Dream was thrown into prison which of course killed XD to hear but he agreed to the laws of the DSMP and wouldn’t interfere (even though it pulls him further from Dream and George)

George still didn’t visit Dream and Sapnap is still sworn on revenge in the AU. As for how XD feels about Dream’s escape that will be seen/explored in the next part of the AU fics. What I can say, and is super obvious, is that XD is frantically looking for Dream just like everyone else on the sever. Which is weird right? Because a powerful God should be able to find one mortal. His brother especially. But somehow, Dream keeps evading him. Weird right :)

Man I just woke up from a super vivid dream where I was trying to get Cell not to host the Cell games. We had so many conversations 🤔😳

Incomprehensible dream spiel:

I invited him to wedding party that a friend of mine was having (in real life, she got married about two years ago so idk why I dreamt about it) so that Cell could learn about connections between people and what not. We sorta chilled there for a while before he got bored and left. People at the party didn't seem to notice he was gone. I looked around to find Goku who told me he could sense that Cell left.

I went to find Cell rollerblading (?) and failing at it so I tried to show him how and he angrily gives up (though imo he was embarrassed) and says he only let someone convince him to do it because he was bored and I told him he can't kill anyone until the Cell games. 😂

He tries to fly away but I convince him to go back to the party so he can learn at least one thing about one person and maybe that'll change his mind. We go back, eat good food (he looks mildly annoyed but more subdued at this point because people are actually talking to him) and then at the end we sit and Goku and I ask him questions about what his body is made of 😂 He let us touch his arms surprisingly so he was super subdued lmao. His arms kinda felt like a basketball if it was smooth, so kinda like rubber? And the black part was kind of like glass so I asked him if he's made of chitin and he said "yes...well, not entirely." 🤔

He gets bored again so I tell him, "Hey, the party is winding down and getting kind of boring. You wanna give them a little entertainment? Maybe we could do a mini sparring thing in the middle. You could watch them spar each other too." That got him excited 😂 But he didn't want to go back. I think it's because he found one or two people he didn't mind talking to and didn't want to go back in fear of getting placated and forgetting that he wanted to kill everyone?

We both fly (yay I could fly! It was hard though) up to the sky and while watching the sun set, in a last minute bid to stop him from hosting the Cell games, tried to explain the small ways humans form connections and care about each other and what not. He was quiet so I added, "Okay fine, go ahead and kill, but if you're gonna kill then the first person I challenge you to kill is [friend he was interacting with the most at the party]. And I know you can't do it." And I saw his expression change cause I WAS RIGHT BITCH 😌

But he just said "We'll see about that", and then the dream ended 😳

I was reading chapter 5 of GP again and was going over the interaction that Chris and Ryan had, and I still don't quite understand what Chris was aiming to achieve with it. Much like Ryan. I understand that it had to do with paying attention and doing as you're told, so I thought that maybe that's what Chris wanted Ryan to do? Because in chapter 6, when he was breaking down a little, he told Ryan that he wasn't reading enough into what was going on between them (either that or he meant his condition). And that got me thinking that maybe in chap 5, he was trying to get him to pay attention to idk, the way he acts towards Ryan and why that is? He really got me confused. Imagine that Spider-Man meme where the 3 of them are in a triangle position pointing at each other that's me trying to unpuzzle Mr H's reasonings, plus Ryan, haha.

Also, I love how you portrayed Chris's darker side in that chapter (5). The way he kept invading Ry-Man's personal space, just a little, but enough to have an effect on him, it was hot, and poor Ryan had no idea what to do with himself. It made me wanna revisit chap 4 as well since that's where Chris's wolfish behaviours started rearing its head more. And that got me thinking about why exactly Dylan's comments to Ryan about him triggered the events of chap 5 & 6. Because we know Chris overheard Dylan teasing Ryan about the whole "do you know what Mr H's dick looks like?" thing, and then started teasing about the size of it...but I'm still stumped about why Chris would be annoyed that Dylan was talking to Ryan about it...unless he read into it with his "I refuse to allow this little upstart to ruin and pull my favourite counsellor away from me" shades on? There was also the detail of Dylan initiating simple contact with Ryan, but that too stumps me because yesss we know you're jelly Chris, but to go so far...hmm, why? Ohh and I loved the detail with him watching Ryan walk far away until he couldn't see him anymore, it was low-key creepy when I thought about it a bit more, but deliciously so! And the way Ryan was like "pfft, Chris will never know I've not actually gone to the toilet." and I was like either he has a secret camera around there...or he had decided to follow him.

Ahhh, I just love all the details so much! I can't wait until the next chapter when Ryan snoops around and when Chris comes back in the morning. Like Chris is gonna be feeling rough after shifting, and he's gonna be bombarded with Ryan's scent all over his things. He's gonna know he's been snooping, but the reaction.. oh, I'm excited. Besides those things, I was thinking about when Dylan was in his office in-game, he describes Kaylee and Caleb as "weird kids" so he has to have met them, so I was wondering if they might make an appearance like that? I thought it was nice of Ryan to defend them when he countered him by saying that he liked them. It was a little thing, but I thought it was sweet of him because he's usually quiet-spoken. I like the idea of Ryan genuinely being their friend like you showed in SB, I mean they were implied to be kinda close in-game with the one photo and stuff, but I really liked how you fleshed it out. Like I can imagine everyone being at camp, and the Hacketts show up and the other counsellors like Dylan think they're "weird", but Ryan makes an effort to show them that he likes that they're there. Chris would appreciate Ryan including and interacting with them, especially if the other counsellors wouldn't. Another imagining I had was where they're all there at camp, and some of the counsellors are making comments or bothering/low-key bullying Ryan, and Kaylee and Caleb are NOT having it. It's hard to imagine how they'd react exactly, like maybe overtly irritated, or passive-aggressively? I like thinking about another scenario as well, like where Ryan figures out that his trio of Hackett's are werewolves, and he just looks out for them. Kaylee and Caleb would finally have someone from the outside that knows their secret, and whom they don't have to hide from.

Sorry about the longish rambles, these were just some things I'd been thinking about and compiled into one ask, haha.

ahhh, chris had some specific idea at first. he knew, that ryan was lying to him, bc he supposedly went to the toilet like what 2 hours ago and now, he needs to go again? it’s a bit too soon for someone of his age lol. esp if he wasn’t drinking water to speed up the process. *taps the chin* in a way, this is a pretty basic observation on chris’s end. the rest was more of an educated guess. tho, i doubt that anyone, but him paid attention to it. like, to how often ryan eats/drinks water lol. chris is his ‘caretaker’, so it’s clearly ‘normal’ for him to pay attention to it. *nods* yup, nothing even slightly weird here. 

but ah, back to the main reason why chris picked such a method and what he wanted to achieve. well, at the very beginning, it was a lesson in discipline, making ryan wait, making him squirm and realize, that chris can be stern, if he (wants) has to be. he often gives ryan a leeway, he always goes easy on him. let him bend the rules and rarely scolds him. so it’s time to make the boy recall, who is ‘in charge’ lol. chris is actually kinda low-key bullied ryan through the whole ‘waiting’ process. it’s almost like he couldn’t help himself, but be a bit mean. and unknowingly this is how chris edged himself into what happened next. he told ryan to piss a few feet away from him, simply bc he wanted to see if he would. and bc he wanted to be there, if/when he’ll do it. he wanted his fav boy to piss in front of him. that’s really this pervented in the end, haha. the first part of it was a lesson, but then it escalated, bc chris couldn’t tell himself ‘no’. he repress his desire for ryan so hard, so that when an opportunity to at least get a bit close to things, that he wants to do, presents itself, he’s just so weak. he can’t simply remain in his ‘right mind’. and it was a day before the full moon. i imagine, that it’s when chris goes through some very violent mental motions. like he’s totally jerked off, after that whole thing with ryan, haha. and naturally, on the next day, when he realized what he allowed himself to do, and just how ‘horrible’ it was of him to let it happen...oh boy, chris got so deeply upset with himself. he is ryan’s mentor and friend, he shouldn’t do these things. ryan trusts him and he’s just being ‘terrible’, haha. so yeah, it started as a ‘lesson’ and ended up into a kink, that chris had no idea he had. all that rambling, that he does when he tells ryan to take a piss, is him self-soothing himself. if he’ll frame it as a continuation of a ‘lesson’, then it would make this less bad, right? hopefully, this explains it! like part of the reason why that fic will be darker, is bc ryan & chris surely will get more unhinged about one another later on. so it means, a kink or two. 

and thank you! chris’s darker side is certainly an interesting topic. he tries so hard to be ‘good’, but at the end of the day, he’s still a wolf. and ah, chris wasn’t pissed off bc of dylan’s comments per say. what had truly irked him was that ryan would go out of his way to not rat dylan out. bc really, he could have been like yeah, dylan asked me about that stuff. and that’s it. he wouldn’t have been in trouble, if he didn’t lie. from chris’s perspective, it looked less like ‘dylan is being vulgar’ and more as ‘ryan would lie for this guy’. but why would he do such a thing? why would ryan lie to chris, for some…dude? that’s so baffling to him. naturally, he’s not a fan of some random kid talking about his dick size, either lol. but it’s very small, compared to how ryan would attempt to fool him, when he seemingly had no reason to. and what if, ryan would do it again afterwards? what if it would go further, than this? inside chris’s mind, ryan doesn’t need ‘friends’ like this, esp bc he knows, that dylan aims to smth more. not just being buds. which is just unacceptable lol. for his own safety, dylan better settle for nick or smth…

the next chapter is ⅓ written lol. and dang, ryan would get some bad ideas after his findings. chris won’t be ready, haha. i almost feel bad for him. bc he would return being all like ‘i will make it right by ryan this time’. and like yeah no, my man. you won’t, haha. also, ryan would have no idea why chris would react the way he does. in his eyes, it went well. he would be so proud of himself, thinking: ‘i was so sneaky and stealthy, while i roamed through chris’s things. he didn’t notice anything’. and to chris it’ll be the opposite: ‘everything smells like ryan now. fuck my life’. 

oh tbh, i imagine, that ryan made friends with kaylee and caleb so easily, bc they’re ‘different’ from his other peers. ryan himself is a weird kid. so it makes sense, that he would feel comfortable with someone, who also doesn’t quite fit in. and i’m glad, that you liked my version of them. they’re fun extras and they will make an appearance, along with some uh ‘newer’ side-cast additions. and well, since we don’t know how exactly ryan met chris’s kids in canon, it’s always nice to imagine how it could have gone down. esp if yeah, ryan actually made an effort to socialize with them, despite being pretty quiet on main. and in my version, kaylee would definitely beat up anyone, who would have bullied ryan for real lol. and caleb, while most likely closer to personality to his father, would have also made sure, that no one would tease ryan too hard. i think, that he’s one of those chill dudes, who are actually hella scary, if he’ll get angry lol. kinda like chris. and ah, it would have been nice, if the game actually allowed ryan to pick a side. if he could know that chris & his kids were werewolves, and chose to stand them still. tho, won’t lie, i still chuckle a bit, when in the game, they find kaylee dead, and ryan is like shell-shocked and then, a second later is like fuck, what do we tell chris!? i swear, that kid is so single-minded, haha. his friend died and he still managed to track it back to her father, almost instantly. and it all happens, while dylan might be missing a hand, and nick being all weird toward abi in the background. but ryan is still going on and on about their camp operator.

and aw, please don’t be sorry about that! these things really make me happy. I always talk in long paragraphs, so it’s cool to see someone, who’s also invested in possible dynamics/ideas/motions. and who’s not afraid to talk about it as detailed as they wanna. and i always appreciate hearing your thoughts! or receiving asks! it really makes my day!

I never really get tired of hearing about it/seeing it (cus I think it is a beautiful thing to see ppl over the internet get so close n form genuine connections) but at the same time I do be feeling left out sometimes lol.

Like idk, sometimes you just see the relationship/interaction between moots and really admire it. Like you wish you had smth like that too? Not even in a romantic way. Just wanting to have a moot ur so close with and talk with often. One that can read you, one who enjoys your work, one who actually thinks of you outside of tumblr and has somehow made that known, one that reaches out regularly, once that says cute things to or about u, etc etc.

Like literally it can be so cute and sweet to watch, but you also wanna be a part of it but also know there’s no real appropriate way to do so? Cus you’re a separate moot for one (if not both) of them and your relationship is prolly evidently vastly different tho still fond? Feels especially oof if like, the relationship between u and a moot is undoubtedly positive and great but seems they never reach out to you really despite u doing so all the time?

And then it starts you thinking about if you’re material for that kind of mootship or not and if you ever will be. Makes you wonder if ever people will talk to you or think about you the way you do about them? If you’re really worth talking to???? Idk hekdhdkdshs.

I know people have lives outside of tumblr ofc, and maybe it’s easier for some to relate to each other bc of more similar ages/stages of life. I know people probably mean absolutely no harm in such a way, and that they still prolly love u a lot, just not in the ways you wish they would.

And then there’s the amount of interaction they get in general not from just moots, but anons, and people who like their work, n etc. and ur just like “my turn when”

But yeah idk how much of this made sense if any did at all. But this has just been my experience? Not to vaguepost/talk badly of any moots or anyone ofc. It’s just how I end up feeling at times.

Gets lonely. Real lonely sometimes. Especially when u really start mentally struggling with it.

Twylaaa, sorry for the delay in getting to this!!! I really wanted to address everything you have here because you bring up such good points. Hopefully I’m able to cover everything in a way that makes sense, isn’t repetitive and is related.

Part of me honestly feels bad because… some of the stuff you mention here, I definitely could be better at doing, like reaching out to moots who reach out to me, and hyping up both posts and responses that friends, close or not, are having conversations on.

It’s strange though, because… I think people (me included) really get caught up in themselves/what applies to them/what they’re working on, rather than uplifting the community as a whole.

And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, you know… no one is a criminal just doing what they do or having a connection with someone over another or even (and I say this as it’s the case for me) just not having the energy or focus to respond to everything that happens around them… but still, I bring it up because I really think that’s where this uhhh… “discrepancy” between big blogs, small blogs, followers and everyone in between… is highlighted. A lot of people really do get left behind as these interactions do or do not flourish.

And like you said, it’s not like you can really hold hard feelings against anyone for participating in this, and esp. those who it seems like they know what they want… but that doesn’t make it feel any better to see it all happening and knowing it… may never be you.

And then alongside like… not getting follower interaction either? Like regular asks and what not. COWABUMMER (sorry lmfao). Though I do think that’s sort of a different issue all together… relating more to people favoriting certain blogs over others, something that could be combatted but… it’s not important enough/we don’t have that type of community/seems unfair to ask/*gestures vaguely* … you know.

BUT ANYWAY. I do think it should it should be brought up more, how unfair and isolating it can be to see connections between people that also really… do not include the people around that help/helped to bring the community alive.

Obvs, people should chat with their friends and love thy moots and shouldn’t feel obligated to reach out to those who they don’t want/remember to, but like… at the same time, there are still ways to strengthen the fandom community altogether that… just aren’t being done.

It’s truly a complex… dilemma. And it probably deserves another ten paragraphs to unpack it all, so I’m not gonna continue bc I don’t want to start vaguing either LOL… but you know, I guess what I really want to agree with here is the fact that… there’s stuff we can ALL do to be more uplifting to everyone… and it really starts with acknowledging the people who acknowledge you. On every single side, especially the side of those who have power.

NOT jensal getting dragged 😭 they're like the softest pair for me so far. Renjun and neowa would be filled with angst but they'd find solace in each other, you feel? They'll fit each other like two puzzle pieces. Mal and jaemin are like two peas on a pod, whether they like it or not. Jaemin's more upfront about his feelings while she's a little more closed off and reluctant to admit that he gets under her skin. Y/n and haechan are ofc the ultimate power couple. They should give the others therapy for what they put everyone and themselves through but they're thriving rn so 👍 and then you have mark and joy. I love these two so much. It's just like they were meant to be. I'm surprised they weren't a couple before etmy, but they compliment each other so well. I hope we see more of that with the others. One thing i'm sure there'll be is conflict between each couple. I can see mal and jaemin and jeno and sal arguing with each other. I feel like renjun and neowa would have a cold war at first and then explode. Mark and joy would probably ease into an argument but they're just so close that they'd diffuse it right away. Y/n and haechan would get mad at each other and apologize right away. (Haechan better not be pulling any funky lies anytime soon.)

Also I agree with that anon, sal really does give bambi vibes because of how she interacts with her friends (but also the bunny 🥺). Mal is like a wolf in sheep's clothing, NOT a bad thing. Joy gives off tiger vibes idk why 😭, y/n's more of a golden retriever, and neowa is an otter because i feel like she keeps the peace more often than not. I just know there's a whole other world of chaos swirling inside of those girls.
