I’d sigh and cry to my friends like wow love these guys so much, never gonna see them live😂

one day my friend tells me about this thing called ‘global package’ which she explained is SM’s travel package for INTERNATIONAL NON-KOREAN FANS to attend concerts for their artists.

ofc once I saw the prices I was like yeah right😂🤣 I am by no means rich, not even middle class, but after much convincing, working a lot of extra hours, budgeting, and poor financial decisions, my friend and I committed to doing a twin package together to see exo.

all of this to say that shit was still over $900 for each of us to share a hotel room/be seated together for the concert/etc like is it worth it?!? yeah absolutely BUT once I had to deal with SM’s staff people I really saw with my own eyes who they prioritize as fans.

for exo all of the packages were mostly purchase by Chinese/Japanese fans, a few European and Western sprinkled around. we have a tour guide the day of the concert to take us to SM Town/to eat/get us to the stadium etc, and she spoke PERFECT Korean/Chinese/Japanese and squished her fingers together at me and my friend after explaining the day’s schedule and important information to the other package holders and said “little English, sorry.” and proceeded to struggle to explain anything to us, and we basically had to fend for ourselves

Did we not all pay the same for this alleged GLOBAL fan experience??😅😅

Keep your friends close gets stuck in my head all the time. Like allllllllll the time. She's just so effervescent and not interested in playing any of Odysseus' games. She's got her own ideas about what's fun and she's gonna pull him into that whether or not he wants it if he wants her help.

I definitely had a phase of listening to it nonstop on loop but I haven't had the chance in a bit. Obviously I listened the whole way through when the underworld saga came out, and I've turned it on a couple of time when it's been late and I've been driving home to keep me awake and focused, buthi haven't made it into the storm saga from that. I might have had songs that I didn't like in my first listen, but they all grew on me so quickly. Like I look back at what the first ones I favorited were and it doesn't even make any sense how I liked just a man and not the horse and the infant.

Future Past - While Once Was Lost is the start of things, this is where a little of the meat of the story starts coming into play.

Pulling Loose The Threads - Escalation is the name of the game here, and shows a solid link to the established canon, which I’m always wary about doing.

Holiday In Eorzea - Not just a Dead Kennedys reference! This is easily the most ambitious thing I’ve written to date, and it’s far from over. The sad thing in my mind is that it comes after a lot of other parts that are yet to be written. But sometimes, stories have their time and demand it.

he gives off the vibes of the kind of ler that would DEFINITELY laugh along with his lees. he also probably mimics certain sounds that a lee emits--if his lee squeals, dream will laugh and mimic that squeal if his lee yelps and says something dream will yelp and mimic whatever they said if his lee wheezes then he'll most likely either giggle or laugh harder lmao

dream probably uses scratching, digging and scribbling the most actually only if the lee is ok with it dream will almost always use mouth tickles, such as raspberries, nibbles, kisses (strictly only with close friends...) he probably normally uses mouth tickles as a 'grand finale' to a lees tickle sesh

okok hear me out here tho i hc that dream has fangs, and nobody ever sees them because of his mask..... but sometimes, only sometimes, will dream lift up his mask just to cover his nose, and nibble a lees worst spot (obviously only their upper body, because lower body would just be kind of weird. by upper body, some examples r like-- palms, stomach, back, sides, arms, neck, ribs, etc. etc.) and some would 100% say that he gives the best nibbles PS; dream's fangs are dull and cant actually hurt anyone unless he literally tries to hurt the person. usually dream's nibbles are soft, fast, and sometimes he'll just scribble his fangs against a spot meanwhile if he was trying to hurt somebody he would be actually biting down and sinking his fangs into the skin

Firstly ler!dream has been in my mind allllllllll day (probably @twordishl's fault). Second, you have SUCH GOOD TAKES OMG. I have a lot to say so I'm putting it under the line here lmfao.

I 100% agree that Dream asks the lee tons of questions - and they're always the flustering ones. I like how you said he just asks and then kind of moves on to the next question, just totally catching the lee off guard and not even giving them enough time to whine about how embarrassing the questions are before he answers the next ones.

I also agree that he will absolutely destroy anyone he's close with, no hesitation whatsoever. But with people he's not super familiar with, he goes a bit easier, double checking everything is okay (I have the same hc for george tbh).

Also....Dream laughing along with the lee? He absolutely does this?? And the fact that you said he would mimic the noises the lee would make. I can see him doing this with Sapnap and George, because he's just so teasy with them but because he always thinks their reactions to things are hilarious, including their reactions to tks.

AND I ALSO HC ABOUT DREAM USING HIS MOUTH A TON. Dream loves to receive nibbles and kisses and raspberries, but he loves giving them just as much! He likes to find the super sensitive spots and exploit them with nibbles and skitters of fingers before suddenly blowing raspberries over the spots, making the lee howl with laughter. He loves making lees squirm, so he tries his best to do the things that he knows will be the worst for them 😈 Also Dream's lil fangs! I love that idea, he has like tiny little versions of XD's 🥺

hi kendra i saw you read the silent patient recently…… i finished the audiobook two minutes ago and i would love to know your thoughts.

soooooooo in short i enjoyed it! not a super deep read and kinda slow setting up but once the investigation got going i was absorbed! i was entertained! like she did her job.

when i read other reviews for it a lot of veteran thriller fans rated it as mid and i can definitely see why bc the book had a bunch of flaws. you could tell it was more twist driven rather than character driven. the main character had some depth tho he was annoying but it was the kind of annoying that benefited the story. i never found myself rooting for theo and lo and behold he was the main creep so it works out! i really liked how the cracks in his good boy facade would leak thru every once in a while nd tip you off like when he was thinking abt killing the guy his wife was sleeping with with a rock. like ummm *nervous laughter*

most of the other characters were kinda 2d but bc we were so locked into theos perspective nd he gave such unreliable narrator vibes i didnt mind as much? i'll repeat that a lot like a lot of things i normally wouldnt like in a book i find interesting bc the narrator is so obviously biased it almost feels like a purposeful writing trick. although i wonder if im giving the writer too much credit agjajjag

didnt really feel anything for alicia or get her hype. everyone was obsessed with her one way or another but she wasn't interesting at all other than her paintings. again the hyping up of alicia most of it is something else that feels ok bc theo was obvs obsessed with her and you could say oh he's just PROJECTING that onto other characters. like his mistrust of the gallery guy felt correct considering they were both obsessed with this girl. but that's something else i feel like i might be giving the author too much credit

loved the twist loved how that played out it gave me a very nice 'WAIT' moment but the lead up to that was messy as hell. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too many loose strings that went no where. obvs you need red herrings esp when the protagonist is the culprit but the set up would be so interesting then just go nowhere. i think the suspicion with the rival psychiatrist was done well but he threw in yuri selling drugs randomly at the end. and all that shit abt alicia's cousin was?????????????? literally what was the point of even doing all that digging into her life beyond that 'he killed me moment' which...fell flat lmao.

OH MY GOD SPEAKING OF. allllllllll the mental health shit w alicia fell flat. the bitch just. stopped talking bc she didnt have anything to say then when she started talking it was.........nothing. like there was so much build up abt her but it was all just mad underwhelming. they drew out the 'why is she like this plotline?' just for it to be her dad saying god i wish u were dead presented in a way that had 0 emotional impact. like what???????? nd i cannot excuse this with the unreliable narrator.

so overall? slow set ups but intriguing. loved the twist loved poking holes in theo's good guy vibe as the book went on. LOVED the cheating bits like i really enjoyed seeing theo miserable. didnt see the hype in alicia or her backstory. too many abandoned plot points nd the book couldve done w some stuff being gone altogether but the last 5-6 chapters made the experience a reading experience i dont regret
