no way ian just actually said "i was soul tired in some of the years in anthonys absences i was definitely soul tired" what kinda of poetic angst romance is this 😭
The sad look in his eyes😭😭 he really really missed Anthony a lot... And look at Anthony looking at him sadly i can't do this 😭😭
Not Anthony saying he felt like an outsider in Smosh from June-December of 2023. Six months of feeling like he had to prove himself to the audience, and the cast and crew, and feel like he belonged. AND he didn't feel like he was funny anymore!!!! He wanted to come back and be at Smosh with his best friend but he felt on the outsides!!! My baby boy!!!!
Ian had shown Daniel some of his demos over the summer, and that had gone okay. Great, even. Unfortunately, they were songs that upon further listening, Ian was supremely unhappy with: had scrapped, rewritten, spent hours re-recording vocals and instrumentals, and now, months and months later, he was at a spot he could be semi-happy with the demos, and could potentially show them to Theo and Skylar to provide their own respective vocals and bass. This was why he’d never finished an album before--only occasionally provided instrumentals on tracks over the years. He was too nit-picky when it came to his music.
But first, he wanted Daniel’s opinion on them. Because. And Ian really hoped he wasn’t cutting in on Daniel being with Ryder instead when sending him a message, asking if he wanted to meet after dinner to listen to music in one of the meeting rooms. Truthfully, he hadn’t been inviting Daniel to hang out much in the past few months, for fear of the same thing: interfering on time that he could be spending with someone he preferred. But Ian had their laptop and some headphones set up anyway, and gave a quick wave to their friend as he came in. “Hey, how are you feeling and also doing, Daniel?” Ian asked, gesturing to the seat next to him to sit.
While I’d been watching AOT for the first time, I always kept EM in my head, every time not understanding why I even had to think about their relationship romantically.
And by season 4, I was completely confused, how come that I was trying to find a love story between them?
(Because I usually remember where all my shipping thoughts come from. E.g. the first ship that came to my mind was Eren and Levi; not that I saw them as a pair, but I just watched a few scenes with them and immediately told my partner "I bet there’s so much dirty stuff with these two on ao3" 😂)
And now I am rewatching season 1 and I realized where it came from. Not from Eren’s or Mikasa’s actions or words. It was a phrase of Ian Dietrich, leader of the unit’s elite, during the battle of Trost:
You can move on your own to execute the original plan. Since you’re doing it to protect your boyfriend…
Thanks, Ian Dietrich, that I’d been trying to find something that never existed
Assumption: you started out as an Ian girlie but now you're on the amtrack to becoming love eyes lilac for Anthony ;-)
LISTEN
No one can replace Ian in my heart. He is my favorite little weird man. Anthony though whoo boy. He is hot as hell. He is absolutely the kind of guy I would have dated in high school when he had his emo hair and now I find him mildly intimidating (even though tbh he seems like a super sweet and kind dude!)
THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY
Byron Gaist
On August 15th, the Roman Catholic Church celebrates the feast of the Assumption of Mary, otherwise known as the Falling Asleep of the Mother of God. The Orthodox Church celebrates the same event, and calls it the Dormition of the Theotokos. The tradition is the same: following the death and resurrection of Jesus and the Pentecost, the Theotokos stayed with the Apostle John in his house in Jerusalem, serving the nascent church. The Archangel Gabriel - who had also announced to her her chosenness as the sacred vessel of the Conception - then revealed to her that three days later she would die.
At her death, the Apostles were miraculously transported from being scattered around the world teaching the gospel, to be present to her. Her death is called the Dormition, to emphasize that she did not suffer. Mary was buried at Gethsemane, but when they arrived at her grave three days later, she was gone from her grave. Her body had been transported physically to heaven, to be reunited with her soul (which Christ is holding in his hands on the icon). Hence, Mary has already experienced the physical resurrection which all of us will experience at the Second Coming.
The Roman Catholic Church declared this bodily assumption of the Theotokos into heaven a church dogma in 1950. Carl Jung called this declaration "the most important religious event since the Reformation".
To the Swiss psychiatrist, this dogma was a confirmation of the completion of the masculine Holy Trinity with a fourth, feminine principle. In an age of scientific materialism, the affirmation of Mary's Assumption also suggested to Jung a collective raising in awareness of the spiritual significance of matter. He held that it "points to the hieros gamos in the pleroma, and this in turn implies, as we have said, the future birth of the divine child, who, in accordance with the divine trend toward incarnation, will choose as his birthplace the empirical man. This metaphysical process is known as the individuation process in the psychology of the unconscious." Thus for Jung this event is a harbinger of the future religion.
