چاند پر گیا پاکستانی سیٹلائٹ ’آئی کیوب قمر‘ کیا ہے؟

ملکی تاریخ میں پہلی بار 3 مئی کو پاکستانی سائنس دانوں اور سائنس کے طلبہ کی جانب سے تیار کردہ سیٹلائٹ ’آئی کیوب قمر‘ چین کی جانب سے بھیجے گئے چاند مشن ’چینگ ای 6‘ کے ساتھ گیا تو بہت سارے لوگ اس بات پر پریشان دکھائی دیے کہ مذکورہ خلائی مشن میں پاکستان کا کیا کردار ہے اور یہ پاکستان کے لیے کس طرح تاریخی ہے؟ درج ذیل مضمون میں اسی بات کا جواب دیا جائے گا۔ وفاقی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد میں موجود انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی (آئی ایس ٹی) کی ویب سائٹ کے مطابق ’آئی کیوب قمر‘ سیٹلائٹ کا وزن محض 7 کلو گرام ہے لیکن وہ چینی خلائی مشن کا سب سے اہم کام سر انجام دے گا۔ پاکستانی سیٹلائٹ چاند پر پہنچنے کے بعد وہاں کی تصاویر، ویڈیوز اور دیگر ڈیٹا زمین پر چینی ماہرین کو بھیجے گا۔ پاکستان کی جانب سے تیار کردہ سیٹلائٹ دو ہائی روزولیوشن آپٹیکل کیمروں سے لیس ہے جو کہ چاند پر پہنچنے کے بعد وہاں کی تصاویر اور دیگر ڈیٹا زمین پر بھیجیں گی۔ ’آئی کیوب‘ دراصل ایک خلائی سائنس کی اصطلاح ہے، جس کا مقصد چھوٹے سیٹلائٹ ہوتا ہے اور پاکستان نے پہلی بار اس طرح کے سیٹلائٹ ایک دہائی قبل 2013 میں بنائے تھے اور اب پاکستان نے تاریخ میں پہلی بار چھوٹے سیٹلائٹ کو چاند کے مشن پر روانہ کر دیا۔

’آئی کیوب قمر‘ کس طرح چینی خلائی مشن کا حصہ بنا؟ اسلام آباد میں موجود خلائی ادارے انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی کے مطابق چین نے چاند پر اپنا مشن بھیجنے سے دو سال قبل ایشیائی خلائی ایجنسی ایشیا پیسفک اسپیس کو آپریشن آرگنائزیشن کے رکن ممالک کو دعوت دی کہ وہ اپنے خلائی سیٹ لائٹ چین کے مشن کے ساتھ بھیج سکتے ہیں۔ چینی خلائی ایجنسی نے 2022 میں ایشیائی خلائی ایجنسی کے رکن ممالک کو دعوت دی تھی، ایشیائی ایجنسی کے ترکی، منگولیا، پیرو، تھائی لینڈ، ایران، بنگلہ دیش اور پاکستان رکن ہیں۔ چینی درخواست کے بعد اگرچہ دیگر ممالک نے بھی اپنے خلائی سیٹس بھیجنے کی درخواست کی لیکن چینی سائنس دانوں نے پاکستانی سیٹلائٹ کا انتخاب کیا، جس کے بعد پاکستانی ماہرین اور طلبہ نے دو سال کے کم عرصے میں ’آئی کیوب قمر‘ سیٹلائٹ تیار کیا۔ ’آئی کیوب قمر‘ سیٹلائٹ کو سپارکو اور اسلام آباد کے ادارے انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی کے ماہرین، اساتذہ اور طلبہ نے تیار کیا اور چین بھیجا۔ چینی سائنس دانوں نے پاکستانی سیٹلائٹ کو اپنے چینی خلائی مشن کا حصہ بنا کر تین مئی 2024 کو اسے چاند پر بھیجا جو کہ دونوں ممالک کے لیے تاریخی دن تھا اور یوں پاکستان پہلی بار چاند پر جانے والے مشن کا حصہ بنا۔

Barcelona Dibuixa, el festival del Museu Picasso i l’ICUB , vol celebrar la recuperació de l’espontaneïtat i el contacte físic en les relacions humanes. Amb motiu d'aquest cicle, torna un any més per fer-nos una gran abraçada, com les que ens fèiem abans de la irrupció de la pandèmia en les nostres vides; és a dir, de manera espontània i efusiva, afectuosa. Perquè, en la seva nova edició, aquesta gran festa de l’art i del dibuix convertirà l’abraçada en el seu motiu central: hi haurà ‘abraçades’ als més de 40 tallers per a totes les edats que es duran a terme en museus, escoles, centres cívics i culturals, teatres i altres espais de tots els districtes de la ciutat.

Aquí al centre Cívic Sant Andreu dibuixarem abraçades, posarem la que ens agradi més a dins d'una capsa de mistos gran i un cop la pengem a la paret en sortirà un còmic en tres dimensions amb la nostra i amb totes les abraçades que arribin.

L’abraçada es converteix en l’eix central del festival

Recuperar el contacte físic, deixant enrere els temors de la pandèmia, és motiu de celebració. L’abraçada és el gest escollit pel festival Barcelona Dibuixa, organitzat per l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona i el Museu Picasso, com a símbol del retorn a la normalitat. I és, també, la inspiració dels més de quaranta tallers que es podran seguir durant el cap de setmana del 22 i 23 d’octubre.

El festival passa d’una sola jornada a un dia i mig i fins a trenta-dues entitats participants. I com ja fa uns quants anys, la Xarxa de Centres Cívics de Barcelona torna a sumar-se a la iniciativa que vol apropar la il·lustració com a eina d’expressió artística. Enguany, cinc equipaments de la xarxa proposen cinc tallers que podreu seguir, de manera gratuïta i sense inscripcions, entre les 15:00 i les 19:00 h de dissabte i a partir de les 11:00 h i fins a les 19:00 h de diumenge.

El primer dia del festival, atanseu-vos al CC Can Felipa o al CC Convent Sant Agustí.

La Neus Frigola dirigeix Figures abraçables (CC Can Felipa, 22/10 – 15:00 a 19:00 h), una activitat per explorar l’abraçada amb un grup de cossos escultòrics que, a més a més del contacte físic, també es podran pintar. Així doncs, què passa quan ens abracem? Quines sensacions es desperten?

A Ciutat Vella, l’Asociación Sociocultural Radio Nikosia vol Dibuixar l’abraçada (CC Convent de Sant Agustí, 22/10 – 15:00 a 19:00 h) i crear-ne una cartografia tot donant forma, imatge, línia, textura i color al gest a través d’una silueta que es podrà omplir de colors i emocions.

L’endemà, us esperen al CC del Besòs i el Maresme, al CC La Farinera del Clot i al CC Sant Andreu.

La Cé Marina, a través del taller Dibuixa la teva història (CC del Besòs i el Maresme, 23/10 – 11:00 a 19:00 h), vol analitzar i pintar les vivències viscudes durant la pandèmia, l’adaptació i com es veu el futur a partir d'ara.

L’abraçada abstracta (CC La Farinera del Clot, 23/10 – 11:00 a 19:00 h) és l’activitat proposada per l’Alison Buchanan. Abraçant una altra persona amb un paper entremig, es traçaran les línies de braços, mans i dits. A partir d’aquesta marca, es buscaran dins l’imaginari de cadascú les formes i els colors que els suggereixen.

A Sant Andreu necessiten la vostra aportació per crear un còmic en tres dimensions. Capses d’abraçades (CC Sant Andreu, 23/10 – 11:00 a 19:00 h), la iniciativa d’en Pere Puig, proposa dibuixar una abraçada, posar-la dins d’una capsa de llumins i penjar-la a la paret. Entre totes les abraçades es crearà el còmic coral.

In case you found some parts of that video a little bit confusing, here’s an explaination from a Czech newspaper:

For many women in the Czech Republic, the Easter season, known as Velikonoce, is not their favorite time. Easter Monday is the national holiday, and traditionally it is a time when women get whipped with a braided rod of willow called a pomlázka. The name comes from pomladit, meaning “to make younger” and how it got tied up with Easter isn’t very clear.

Traditionally, boys in villages go around from door to door on Easter Monday to slap women, even strangers, on the legs, thighs or buttocks with the whip. The victim is supposed to give the boy an egg or some chocolate. The women who are hit are supposed to get a year of health, fertility and beauty. Some older women can tell you that when they were younger they did get a substantial whipping at the hands of neighborhood boys, but now it has become much more symbolic in the places where it is practiced.

This video shows the latest results in iCub whole-body control achieved by the Dynamic Interaction Control lab at the Italian Institute of Technology. In particular, the iCub balancing capabilities have been improved considerably, and the reactive quadratic-programming based controller ensures balance and safe interaction. Also, iCub walking capabilities have been implemented by means of on-line reactive model-predictive-control algorithms.

Really great to see a walking, untethered iCub.

The University Rover Challenge (URC) is the world’s premier robotics competition for college students. Held annually in the desert of southern Utah in the United States, URC challenges student teams to design and build the next generation of Mars rovers that will one day work alongside astronauts exploring the Red Planet. From a record field of 95 teams, URC has announced the 36 teams from 10 countries who have been selected to compete May 31 – June 2 at the Mars Desert Research Station.

Autonomous sumo is one of my favorite robot combat events, because of how much personality these little bots have. This footage is from the 29th Robot Sumo Challenge, held in Japan.

A new video from the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots: “No country would be safe from fully autonomous weapons.”

While this video is not quite as sensationalist as “Slaughterbots,” it’s still surprising to see critics of autonomous weapons turning to scary, violent imagery rather than trying to communicate useful information to help people make informed decisions about this issue. Is fearmongering really necessary?

What if there was a robot car that enabled blind people to drive? Or a robot designed to put out fires on ships? A robot that plays soccer? Stamps its feet when it’s angry or dances when it’s happy? These are all real projects designed in UCLA’s Robotics & Mechanisms Laboratory by Professor Dennis Hong and his intrepid team of undergraduate and graduate students.

“I tell the students to break the robot.”

I love this, although Professor Hong should also tell the students to break the robot on video, and then send it to us, because it’s funny to watch.

Marc Raibert gives lots of excellent talks, but we particularly love watching the more technical ones, full of details about how Boston Dynamics does such amazing things. This particular talk was presented as part of MIT’s Artificial General Intelligence course earlier this year, and it’s definitely worth your time, including the Q&A at the end where Marc mentions (among other things) that they’ll be announcing pricing for Spot Mini later this year. And yes, there’s some video that we haven’t seen before—it’s not the greatest quality, but you won’t be disappointed.

Marc also brought along a Spot Mini, which failed to crush an iPhone X, sadly.

کثیرالوسائل ممالک اس سمت میں پچھلے کئی عشروں سے نہایت تندہی سے سرگرم ہیں۔ ان کے خلائی اسٹیشن انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی میں حیرت انگیز ترقی کے علاوہ سائنسی تحقیق کے متعدد شعبوں میں قیمتی اضافوں کا ذریعہ ثابت ہوئے ہیں جبکہ دنیا کے دیگر ممالک خلائی تحقیق کی دوڑمیں براہ راست شرکت کیلئے کوشاں ہیں۔ پاکستان میں بھی 1961 سے پاکستان اسپیس اینڈ اَپر ایٹموسفیئر ریسرچ کمیشن قائم ہے اور مختلف اہداف کے حصول کیلئے کام کررہا ہے جن میں اسے چین کا خصوصی تعاون حاصل ہے۔ آئی کیوب قمر کو انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی نے چین کی شنگھائی یونیورسٹی اورسپارکو کے تعاون سے تیار کیا ہے۔ یہ دنیا کا پہلا مشن ہے جو چاند کی دوسری طرف سے نمونے حاصل کرے گا۔ پاکستانی سیٹلائٹ آئی کیوب قمر آپٹیکل کیمروں سے لیس ہے۔ ٹیسٹنگ اور قابلیت کے مرحلے سے کامیابی سے گزرنے کے بعد آئی کیوب قمر کو چین کے چینگ 6 مشن کے ساتھ منسلک کیا گیا ہے۔ انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی کے رکن کور کمیٹی ڈاکٹرخرم خورشید کے مطابق سیٹلائٹ چاند کے مدار پر پانچ دن میں پہنچے گا اورتین سے چھ ماہ تک چاند کے اطراف چکر لگائے گا، سیٹلائٹ کی مدد سے چاند کی سطح کی مختلف تصاویر لی جائیں گی جس کے بعد پاکستان کے پاس تحقیق کیلئے چاند کی اپنی سیٹلائٹ تصاویر ہوں گی۔

ڈاکٹرخرم خورشید کے بقول سیٹلائٹ پاکستان کا ہے اور ہم ہی اس کا ڈیٹا استعمال کریں گے لیکن چونکہ اسے چین کے نیٹ ورک کو استعمال کرتے ہوئے چاند پر پہنچایا جارہا ہے اس لیے چینی سائنسدان بھی اس ڈیٹا کو استعمال کرسکیں گے۔انہوں نے بتایا کہ یہ اگرچہ ایک چھوٹا سیٹلائٹ ہے لیکن مستقبل میں بڑے مشن کیلئے راہ ہموار کرے گا۔ دنیا کے تقریباً دو سو سے زائد ملکوں میں ساتویں ایٹمی طاقت کا مقام حاصل کرنے کے بعد خلا میں اپنا سیٹلائٹ بھیجنے والا چھٹا ملک بن جانا بلاشبہ پوری پاکستانی قوم کیلئے ایک بڑا اعزاز اور اس کی اعلیٰ صلاحیتوں کا منہ بولتا ثبوت ہے۔ ہمارے نوجوانوں کو ترقی یافتہ ملکوں جیسا معیاری تعلیمی نظام اور وسائل مہیا کیے جائیں تو ایسے سائنسداں اور تحقیق کار بڑی تعداد میں تیار ہو سکتے ہیں جو خلائی تحقیقات کے میدان میں نمایاں پیش قدمی کے علاوہ ملک کو درپیش توانائی کے بحران، پانی کی کمیابی ، فی ایکڑ زرعی پیداوار کے نسبتاً کم ہونے، موسمی تبدیلی جیسے مسائل سے نمٹنے اور صنعتی جدت طرازی کی نئی راہیں اور طریقے تلاش کرسکتے ہیں۔
