I'm still pretty proud of it, and only regret that I completely forgot to replace Col. Hsu with General Lee Oliver in the final. Sorry man.

Funniest thing about Tenna is for how much he's very sympathetic and also probably didn't fuck over Spamton as hard as he implies he still is very much a corrupt businessman. My man abuses NDAs. He forces people to sign contracts without letting them read the fine print that seems to more or less imply that he owns them. All of his employees hate him so much that if you fail to recruit a single one of them they're fully content to just leave him to die. In Susiezilla they all risk getting fired for the chance to beat the shit out of him actually

Some art inspired by the final chapter of attrition by @festivating that came out last week! If you haven't read the fic already, I HIGHLY recommend it.

I tried out a more painting-y kind of colouring style for two of these and I feel like it has potential but you can definitely tell I'm not quite used to it yet. But still, it's always good to experiment I suppose. Hope you enjoy them!

Extension Corps 2024 Art Dump

This is most of the art I made that was posted to other platforms/is still worth posting. I wanted to separate it from the art from this year since some of it is pretty old (some were made before the game was even out!) The first drawing of Ten was already posted here for the M&L art collab, but I'm including it anyways because I still really like it and it's... well it's still the only fully rendered drawing of any of the Corps that I've made lol. The next three images are from before the game released (although I finished the third one shortly after it came out). And then there's some out of season winter art including ornaments I made. I can't even make a Christmas in July joke, I'm two months early.

shout out to the extension corps gotta be my favorite cables. Jokes aside I do really love them, they're definitely my favorite Mario RPG characters.

Is...it it true that the White Rabbit is Adi Shankar's self-insert? A few people keep saying that. 🥹

people say that because of this interview he did where he talks about white rabbit as a character, and what went into his backstory.

however, because adi shankar has a gigantic ego is clearly riding off the backs of the creatives he employs, i dont take this completely at face value. i dont believe he even has much creative input in the shows he produces, so calling it a "self insert" is just kind of dumb in this case. my impression is he's just tommy tallarico 2.0 and if something cool happens in his shows of course he's going to take credit for it and try to insert himself into it like it was his idea.

devil may cry netflix was announced as having one writer, that being alex larsen. adi never announced he was writing for the show, which considering he loves plastering his name everywhere on it, you'd think he'd open with that. then the show comes out and he for some reason has his name slapped in the story credits. how odd. my guess is he looked over the scripts, went "damn that's dope" and called it a day.

and just as a general note:

devil may cry netflix as a creative endeavor was brought to life mainly by alex larsen (and other editors) as well as studio mir, which is comprised of a bunch of artists. im sick of seeing this show talked about like it was solely made by adi shankar and he wrote, animated, voice acted, etc all of it. please be incredibly wary of producers that plaster their name all over something and take the entire credit for it. a lot of the time they are partially or entirely disconnected from its actual creation.
