joe'marr bengals reunion — a (somewhat) comprehensive timeline

1 — “have you spoken to the cincinnati bengals and what would it mean to reunite with joe burrow there?” — “i have talked to the bengals. i don’t know how many times i’ve talked to them though. but, me and joe, you know, i wouldn’t mind going back with joe. if we go back together we’re trying to do nothing but get back our chemistry and have some more fun.”

top tip for new gif people because i've seen a few recently (which is really cool) - tumblr will compress your gif to a width of 540px when you upload it. this compression won't retain as much quality as if you just resize it to 540px across in photoshop/whatever program you use. tumblr will suck the life out of your beautiful crisp 1080px gif whereas photoshop will do its best not to (resizing in vapoursynth or similar is ideal but that's not necessary and often too much effort for adults with real lives)

"Vet Bills Drained My Account" Commissions

After getting hit with an astronomically high (for me) vet bill this month that drained my reserves, as well as being saddled with increased med costs for my ESA, I'm fairly strapped for cash and could use any help I can get.

I mentioned this on my blog, but along with doomerism, people seem determined to find some conspiracy where everyone hated Joel, or something stupid like that. To take a phrase from writing, sometimes a tree is just a tree. There's a 99% chance that this should be taken at face value. Sometimes celebrities struggle with their mental and physical health, it's weird how some people don't get that. I talked about this as well, but yeah I agree. Everyone was exhausted physically and mentally, sure, but there's a difference between that and what happened to Joel. The man talked about the physical effects of his exhaustion and lack of sleep all the way in 2021. We've all seen the band's schedule since. As someone who's struggled with periods of insomnia without having to haul ass to a different city every damn day, sleep in a tour bus, and perform on stage for 90 minutes every evening I can say it sucks enough ass without having to do all those things. You get dizzy, faint, nauseous, which in turn keeps you from sleeping again. Eventually it gets dangerous. Eventually it causes longterm damage. There's a very, very sizable chance that it already did cause longterm damage for Joel. The fact that he survived all those years without a medical emergency is honestly baffling.

My point is, there's a very straightforward, very obvious explanation for why he left. It was simply not safe for him to continue. Could other things have played a role? Maybe. But this was absolutely the key driver, because going back to tour life would probably eventually have endangered his life.

Hey, Americans who are pissed at Google for the BS about the Gulf of Mexico, use Firefox instead!!

So you heard or saw the fuckery regarding the "renaming" of the Gulf of Mexico and want to tell Google to fix it's shit? Well you go to report the "error" but what's this? You can't??? Why, they've turned off the reporting function for the Gulf renaming idiocy! So you go to leave a scathing review as your next step. But lo, the review you left had been deleted!!! Absurdity at it's finest. Google won't listen to us, and won't accept criticism. So how about "Fuck Off Google" and go with a tried and true alternative?

Behold, I present to you ✨ MOZILLA'S FIREFOX ✨

Firefox has been around since the Browser Wars. And while Chrome was declared the supposed victor, Firefox still persists doing good work. Firefox has customizability like dark modes, syncing across devices, and loads of extensions, but a big plus is that Firefox also allows you to actually utilize ad blockers AND doesn't sell your information all over like Google does.

"But Wyrm, I have so many bookmarks and tabs open in Chrome" WORRY NOT, FRIENDS! Mozilla is aware of this and ready to help! They have a whole page with step-by-step processes on how to switch over and it's really easy. I did it myself years ago and they continue to update the page. You can access it here.

Also for search engines, Duck Duck Go is GREAT instead of Google

Duck Duck Go also values privacy and is very easy to use and it can easily be changed to Firefox's default search engine (or another search engine if you wish) following these steps here.

What about Google Maps and Apple Maps? (Unfortunately Apple is also renaming the Gulf it seems, so there goes using Apple too) While those navigation apps are really convenient (that's how Google and Apple have gotten so powerful. Well, that and reeeeeally good PR teams), there are options (not Waze unfortunately, that's owned by Google) but you can check out MapFactor (a bit clunky, but free and streamlined) or, for the really Olde Ones here, MapQuest is still alive and kicking (and even has an app on both Google Play AND the App Store and it works great! Only complaint I have is the ads, but a small thing to ignore so we can spite the monopolies in power) and it has the correct name for the Gulf of Mexico still.

Unfortunately Google owns a lot of shit, but it's still worth the effort to switch off where you can!

Alright, now you have some easy steps to tell Google (and Apple!) to fuck off massively without Google shutting you out. Shut Google out first!

In the Prehistoric Eras of Cybertron, Supernova was considered an apex predator. She utilized exceptional tracking skills and calculating precision in taking down her prey. She had her own territory and often went head-to-head with others of her species, such as Predaking. Myths and horror stories began to circulate about a beast who would lure its prey in with sorrowful song-like cries accompanied by a ringing bell and then would suffocate its prey in stars and deep space before snuffing out their sparks. This was due to Supernova’s nocturnal hunting techniques as well as her jet-black wing plating that seemed to glimmer like a night sky splattered with stars. The stories about her seemed to die out with that of the Great Cataclysm, an event that wiped out the Predacons, where her remains were left with many others in an ancient Predacon Graveyard

✦ Strategy ✦

When you are being hunted by Supernova, hiding is not an option. Due to her natural Predacon instincts, she is exceptional at tracking, and once she finds a trace of energon or any other fluid or scrap from her target, it will pursue the target relentlessly until it is wiped out. Supernova’s tracking abilities seem to be nullified if target is underground or underwater- however once the target has emerged, they are once again the primary focus of Supernova. Due to its massive size, finding a space with tighter corners, narrow passageways, and several obstacles will delay her catching you and allow you to get more distance away. In early stages of hunting, she will utilize the ‘bell’ chamber upon her chest to jingle with a sound that is comparably much smaller to Supernova’s own noises and alluring to any larger predators. She couples this sound with a low droning that could sound like ‘crying or wailing’, enticing other species to investigate the sound. Due to it primarily being a nocturnal predator, utilizing bright flashing lights near her optics can cause her to become disoriented, especially when accompanied with loud sounds near her audials. Supernova’s narrow snout allows for her to be more precise in biting, ripping and tearing, and coupled with her claws, she can inflict several wounds upon a target in rapid succession. She has a more wire-y frame and is less bulky than most Predacons, so it can be overpowered by titans and other larger Predacons.

✧ Behavior ✧

Supernova was an excellent, ruthless hunter. She guarded her territory fiercely, refusing to leave even with the Great Cataclysm wiping out life on the surface of Cybertron. It often got into scuffles with other Predacons, though it preferred to strike while it had the upper claw in battle. Supernova was especially conniving when it came to hunting, stalking, and tracking prey as she utilized the bell-shaped device on her chest to give off alluring sounds, and her warbling cries sounded like a sparkling in distress. After luring in her prey, she would quickly snuff out their spark and drain their energon. She has never been seen in an alternative mode other than her primary form, and many believe this to be an intentional choice. When she hunts and her prey is surely captured, she does enjoy playing with her food when she knows they have little to no chance of survival (such as prior injury or being trapped to a certain extent). Another technique at its disposal is the ability to spit up coolant onto a target and following it up with an electrified tail-whip to electrocute its prey. When hunting, Supernova can be seen salivating, though it is likely trying to gather as much coolant to spit out at a target. Supernova is a taker, and once it sets its sights on something, it will relentlessly pursue and never give up the hunt.
