All Instagram Users Can Buy, Sell, and Mint NFTs Soon!
What Are NFTs On Instagram?
Instagram NFTs will be special because any digital collectibles can be put into utility as an NFT. Users can showcase their NFT on a platform which contains 1.38B active users.
Any user on Instagram can publicly view NFTs on their own news feed. Eventually one day a creator's NFT can get popular as users begin to share it with their friends and families. Tagging creators’ and owner’s names will happen quite often when NFTs are officially live on Instagram.
Imagine how our future would be!
Tumblr media
NFTs Are Coming To Instagram?
Curious to know of NFTs coming to Instagram?
Awe! It is a big move!
Instagram is about to integrate with NFTs and looking forward to making a big step by collaborating with real world assets. NFTs On Instagram can probably roll out to 100+ countries as users rely on the creator's platform like “Meta”. Featuring NFTs on Instagram creates a massive audience on Instagram as NFT freaks and brands march towards this platform.
Overwhelming users on Instagram also predict that NFTs can revolutionise industries like fashion, clothing, fashion wearables, brands, etc. Our close-by days will make us strongly understand the influential use cases on social network communities.
Work is actually in progress as Meta started to roll out the features that let creators sell NFTs On Instagram. It is officially yet to be on live and to be announced.
As of today’s date, Instagram has selected a group of creators who like to feature their NFTs on this space. Probably beauty brands and the fashion industry can pull over the social media audience with NFTs.
Adhering to innovation, Instagram also never misses to upgrade by bringing out new features into it.
Let’s wait and watch how it works!
Why The Arrival Of Instagram NFTs Are In Headlines?
NFTs on big social networks like Instagram can capture the attention of users from one corner of the world connected with creators on the other corner of the world.
Openness to NFTs on Instagram is one of the underlying causes behind its hype. NFTs are free for sharing without any gas fee, enabling users to share an image in the form of NFT.
Creators too can take advantage and become successful as it acts as a bridge to showcase their talents. This revolution can permanently shut off the pitfall like low opportunities for creators to exhibit their talents.
Meta too supports creators by expanding its NFT support to Instagram!
Looking for extra proof?
Proofs like Twitter’s head Elon Musk, and celebrities like Shawn Mendes, Jack Dorsey, Rob Gronkowski, Soulja Boy, Mark Cuban, Lindsay Lohan, Steve Aoki, & more evidently influence NFTs on a positive note.
Even Twitter can integrate NFTs & make NFT Tweets in the future!
Closing Thoughts
Instagram is about to break big barriers by entering into the NFT space, still there is a long way to go when new features are integrated and upgraded. Instagram users can create their own NFT portfolio by creating, selling and minting their own NFTs on Instagram network.
In future it can turn over to an Instagram NFT Marketplace! Hope you are ready to experience this turn over?
Get Ready To Experience The New Forms Of NFTs in this digital space as creators are far ahead in collaborating with NFT.

ok lets get into the creator league stuff (local essay andy is back)
I mean first and foremost what Is the creator league
its an esports tournament ran by eFuse and presented by Mr Beast. its designed as this kind of interactive league allowing fans to play with and for their favourite creators. their trailers on instagram claim that theres gonna be a full years worth of content, however Mr Beasts recent video claims the event will happen across a 10 month time frame.
so the ting that makes this event 'special' is that the creators are not listed as players in the event but as 'team managers'- which is where the creator pass comes in. Each creator has a 'pass' that allows you as a fan and viewer to join their team and participate in the league events. Each pass costs around $20 and from what ive read I believe you can only sign up to participate on behalf of one player.
obviously for reasons of fairness, not everyone who buys a pass will be able to officially compete- there is a limited number of spaces on each team and the places are won via an open qualifier Fortnite tournament where they will also be competing for a $50 k prize- although im yet to find any comment from creator league or any articles on how this money is split. But don't worry even if you don't qualify youre still entitled to a free box of mr beasts chocolate should you buy a pass before September 9th. yey.
so what's the problem with this.
I mean first of all. creators arent even required to play. they can fully just let their team do all the work in every event which might work for people like Vinnie Hacker I guess. This might be a way to try and 'even the playing field' by not giving creators with gaming backgrounds any advantage, however it makes the marketing of 'playing with your favourite creator' a little meh. also as a viewer, id be more interested in watching an event that my creator was an active participant in than just watching my streamer watch other people play on their behalf.
the other huge thing that everyone is really waiting to hear about in this post is the nft situation. so recently the narrator of the creator league announcement video, brycent, conformed that the passes are nfts to be minted on the blockchain operating system Near Protocol. so obviously people are extremely concerned about this discovered involvement in NFTs and crypto currency.
so I went to investigate the website to see what its looks like when you purchase a creator pass and unsurprisingly there is no mention on nfts anywhere. The passes are sold on mynt.gg , which according to their faqs is a 'first of its kind marketplace looking to evaluate esports through community' just have a look actually
Tumblr media
so no mention of the passes actually being nft purchase here's . if we go to the check out as well this is what we see for the descriptors
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so . people who are purchasing this have no way of actually knowing they are purchasing an nft. you also need an account to add a pass to your basket and im not willing to make an account so im unaware if at any time during the payment process people are made aware of what they are purchasing. its listed and discussed more like a membership than anything, and in a way it is there are benefits to it, however with no information as to what people are actually buying its extremely sketchy and a literally misleading purchase perhaps a scam even . since the fact that they've just purchased an not isn't listed anywhere on mynt.gg prior to purchase. and after going through a few more articles .
Tumblr media
so theyre definitely trying to hide it from you. as mentioned you need an account to purchase anything. and you only get to know what youre purchasing if you go through the TOC, which most people don't read lets be real.
it's worth noting as well creator league is the only collection available on mynt.gg at the minute, it seems like this entire business was started FOR creator league.
after reading through the faqs again I want to correct myself and say that yes you can buy more than one pass, but only for one creator. so this seems to me like a pay to win scheme.
im not going to go super in depth into this bit bc its a topic that has already been discussed in detail but obviously a lot of people are not happy with the inclusion of nfts because of their environmental impact, the secrecy and dedication to hiding this fact that the company is involving crypto in the event itself is a little weird if u ask me. oh yeah theres been reports on twitter too that they have been blocking and deleting replies to their posts that accuse them on using crypto.
Tumblr media
so theyre lying to you as the viewer about what they are and what youre purchasing. but it seems like theyre lying to the creators too.
again. crypto and nfts is not mentioned anywhere at all. not in the trailer, not on the website not in any announcements . only discovered when people were paying for passes bc they wanted to support their fave creators.
recently one of the listed creators Connor CDawgVA released a twitter statement conforming that he was completely blindsided by the fact that there was cryptocurrency involved in the event- if u haven't seen his tweet here
Tumblr media
so this raises the question were creators told about their involvement with Near, or was it written using jargon that people unfamiliar with crypto would not pick up on.
CEO of TAMU Esports Dylan Liu also weighed in on the creator league misleading their creators as well here's his statements too
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this isn't everything Dylan has had to say hes done a lot of discussions with people on blockchains and of the event itself as someone who has known about the event for a while, id recommend checking out his twitter if you have time he goes into depth about how much funding theyre getting from near and way more issues with creator league than I have time to explore rn .
but it really does seem that the Creator League and eFuse have gone out of their way to try and hide the fact that they are using cryptocurrency from everyone possible. This is a marketing scheme to try and trick people into buying into their market- and if you google Near Protocol right now you see that they are declining so they actively need more people to buy into their schemes.
Tumblr media
investors are leaving Near right now. Theyre tricking people into buying into their organisation. At least thats my understanding of it im not hugely knowledgeable about crypto.
I have a headache lets just wrap this up
this is super sketchy . as of right now CDawgVA is the only creator to have withdrawn from the event, but I hope a lot of creators follow suit. its unknown to us the details of their contracts but from what we know of the event they have done everything to hide the genuine content of creator pass purchases from the viewers- making a lot of people rightfully angry that the event is trying to pull the wool over fans eyes. hiding tweets and refusing to acknowledge their involvement in crypto programmes to the point where its unclear if people like Mr Beast and any of the participating creators are aware of it is super suspicious activity. Especially with how vague their promotions have been on the event, very little information has been available on their instagram and I think it was yesterday that we actually got some kind of timeline of the event. its supposed to start like next week and so many people are still so unsure of what is actually happening in the event or what prizes theyre actually getting if they participate. there has been no redeeming quality in the way that this event has been conceived and executed and I really do hope to see that the event is cancelled or that creators start to speak out against the way that the event is being run and support the fans who feel cheated and blindsided by the organisers . I will say I do not believe any of the creators willingly involved themselves in a cryptocurrency scheme, it's all just too sketchy . and no I did not proofread this nor can I be bothered to .

Fundamental Mechanics series
52+20 .gif animations, 360px × 639px, March 16, 2019 - April 17, 2020. Minted as NFTs on the #tezos blockchain between April 10 and August 6, 2021.
This series was made on a mediocre iPhone 5 using the Instagram stories feature while researching 16th century visual culture for the design of The Three Motions of Loom tapestries (‘Fundamental’ or ‘primary mechanics’ is a loom term). I discovered that the rebus-like late Medieval (alchemy) emblema resembled compositions of equally modular emoji and .gif stickers.
The enigmatic ‘hole’ emoji – one of the few emojis that actually has some depth – turned out to be the perfect portal, simulating space in a flat screen.
🕳
These ultrashort animations were a quick way to investigate the artistic possibilities of consumer technology and prefab components.
At first, I used existing .gifs from the Giphy database, which is integrated in Instagram. After a while, though, I started missing elements, and applied for my own Giphy artist account.
Between August 2019 and May 2020 my Giphy account accumulated a whopping 195.1 million views, with one of my unicorns accounting for about 31 million of them. I closed my account in May 2020 when Facebook bought the platform. I didn’t feel good about providing free content for that company.
A selection of 37 animations from the series was turned into a 3-edition video work, presented on a small, open frame screen.
When NFTs entered my field of view in February 2021, I realized the series seemed made for the NFT medium.
I turned the animations – originally saved as mp4s – into low res .gifs; a choice made for several reasons (compatibility, for instance, and to honour the original format of the stickers that were used).
After careful (ecological) consideration, I decided to publish the series on the now defunct platform Hic et Nunc (*).
The series was minted between April 10 and August 6, 2021.

(* Update Nov 2021: the series can be accessed through objkt.com)

How to Dominate 2023 As a Creator
Every year, I make a series of stories on Instagram giving my thoughts on where I’m concentrating marketing efforts for the next year based on current trends and such. I don’t think I’m going to have time to really do that this year, or I might! Still, I wanted to put these in writing this year. Some things on my list end up being right calls, others not so much — but I pivot! As you should always be open to doing!
Last year a few of the things I talked about included the imminent near total crash of the NFT market and why I wasn’t jumping in, the accelerating heavy pivot to video on all platforms, and the continued trends of short-form video content exploding in popularity.
Those who follow me know I always preach three things when it comes to online content: make it good, make it consistently, and make it on your own platform.
Looking ahead to this year, I think that mantra is going to become very important, including the last one.
Overall Trend
The overall trend I’m seeing in 2023 is the quickly dawning mass realization that social media isn’t a viable place to build an audience on exclusively. Be it people burned by major platform changes, platforms collapsing, etc. — it seems that more and more people are realizing the importance of building your own platform with your own audience. This is the biggest trend I see catching on in 2023 and it is what everything else is filtered through.
Dichotomy of Video Content
Video content is quickly going in two different directions. On one hand, short-form content has finally completely exploded onto the marketplace. 10-30 second videos are major winners. On the other, longer-form videos are also proving quite successful. Videos at 6-20 minutes are dominant on YouTube and well watched. A successful content strategy in 2023 will rely on both ends for success which is exactly my plan.
Photography is Viable*
Still photography is going through a bit of a crisis right now in the sense that current trends are unfavorable for it on the most popular distribution platforms. Even more pressing is AI generated content is quickly beginning to come onto the scene which is going to impact photography in ways people are …probably… underestimating. Photography will always have a place in content and in the upcoming year I will be exploring more ways to make photography a storyteller vs. just something that is pretty.
Content Saturation and Fatigue is Increasing
People have seen incredible photos of Yosemite. They’ve experienced thrilling videos of a tornado nearby. They’ve seen timelapse segments of just about every possible thing. At this point, it is really hard to show visuals of something completely new that won’t elicit a “haven’t I seen this before?” feeling from huge sections of any generalized audience. What is going to become important to differentiate your product/brand in 2023 is learning how to incorporate YOU into your visuals and story. The most unique selling point anyone has is themselves, and that is going to become more and more important in the years to come. Its time to learn to be comfortable on camera if you haven’t already (I’m tripling down).
The Rise and Fall of Platforms
I think two major platforms are going to run into major headwinds this year. TikTok is about to run head first into a US government concerned about national security and Twitter is about to run head first into what happens when you are bankrupt. I actually think either TikTok getting banned in the U.S. or Twitter shrinking dramatically to the point it is unrecognizable will happen by year end. Any efforts I put here here will be spent putting into moving my audience to my owned platform.
Meta is Fine. Meta is Stable. Meta is Good.
There was a lot of breathless coverage of Facebook shrinking and losing money — the simple fact is Meta is making tons of profits on their social media wing and user numbers are going sideways to slightly up still. If they have to, they’ll cut some spending on VR to maintain profitability. I’m investing a slightly more into both Facebook and Insta this year as I think both are very stable platforms.
YouTube is the GOAT
There’s no better platform for creators. From the ability to connect with your audience to the best monetization policies of any creator-centric network, YouTube is by far and away the best option for creators. I ignored this platform for too long and I’m paying the price by playing catch up — but I’m investing a ton of time (AND money) into YouTube this year.
Owning Your .com and Audience
This is still the key to success. The Titan newsletter is quite large, and I’m super excited about the growth I’m seeing with it. Same with TornadoTitans.com. Regardless, I’m investing a lot more time and energy into these platforms this upcoming year, as I somewhat anticipate a bit of de-centralization of internet traffic in the coming year. It’s time you learn SEO.
Simplified Social Presence
I’m feeling it so I know others are too — we’re going to see many brands and creators scale back their ambitions a bit in 2023 to concentrate on fewer places they’re distributing content so they can increase the quality of community they are generating. It’s overwhelming right now otherwise! Currently, a lot of creators are distributing content in 4, 5, 6, or even more places. That’s unsustainable for individuals hoping to foster a real community, it definitely is for me. I’m bringing distribution channels down to 3 or so + my website.

Ever since I first saw Blade Runner as a kid, I was in love with the idea of futuristic technology, and how it could evolve us as a species. But I also hold a deep fear of it, like an atomic bomb of silicon and quantum bits just waiting to reach critical mass. But the future is now, and my fear of it has been growing over the last couple of years as the advances in artificial intelligence technology have given birth to AI-generated art as well as AI-generated literature. Whilst the first steps were janky and glitchy, with stuff like Deep Dream and the like, AI is now starting to show us its potential. As an artist, my fears became even more real as DALL-E came out and showed us what it could create. My relationship with AI-generated images is a journey of phases, first I was in absolute astonishment and curiosity when I saw the early examples from Deep Dream around 2015. Yet, this was quickly followed by disappointment as the system was unable to output much more than a sea of eyes or incomprehension landscapes of surreal patterns. On top of that, it caused many online galleries that I used to frequent at the time to become overrun by samey-looking AI landscapes and surreal entities. I played around with it like everyone else, of course, and I even incorporated some of it into my work. But the torrent of AI stuff all looking like images from the same fever dream was starting to annoy me. As the new generation of AI programs such as DALL-E-2 and Midjourney emerged in 2021 and 2022, my annoyance grew into a form of hate. Although early examples of what these new generators could do were impressive, the slew of samey-looking AI-generated artwork on image boards just exploded even more. NFT marketplaces were overrun and even places like Facebook and Instagram were drowning in uninspired AI-generated art. It was just all too much! With discussions brewing on whether or not AI images could even be considered art, I found myself firmly on the side of "absolutely not". But then something happened, I'm not sure what, but one evening I was watching a tutorial on YouTube by an artist I respect, showing how he could change and improve AI-generated art by applying his skills as both an artist and a graphic designer. I was intrigued, and things spiralled from there. I am now subscribed to several AI generators and have been playing around with running local rendering on my RTX 3090. My mind was changed. I think the defining factor was the difference I could see in quality between raw unrefined AI images from a regular user, and images processed by a graphic artist such as myself, who has also grown an understanding of how to phrase AI generators in just the right way to get those sweet results. It may not be considered art to prompt, but it is tedious and hard work that takes time, know-how, and patience. So here we are with this book / PDF (or whatever it is you are reading now). This is not my first AI project but it is the first one I'm doing under the Hypofox name. Inspired by my love for dark Sci-Fi fantasy, Cyberpunk aesthetics, Giger-esque details, and most of all back where it all started: Blade Runner and the science fiction visions of how artificial intelligence can be a wonder and a horror. Just, it's not science fiction anymore, is it? Hypofox 2022
