this isn't a question about your rewrite but as you are The Warrior Cats Pro i figured id throw it out there... why is it that, even though there have been way more books taking place at the lake territory, both in the main wc series and beyond, than the old forest territory, but the forest territory is still so much more memorable and always what i think of when i think of warriors, and the lake feels so uninteresting and forgettable?

because the lake map FUNDAMENTALLY sucks baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalloons.

In a series about border drama and forbidden relationships, they have put a huge, impassable obstacle smack in the middle of the map. You ever heard the expression, "Tall fences make good neighbors?" This is supposed to be the BAD NEIGHBORS series and they have put the world's tallest fence in the game.

The lake was a fundamentally bad idea. Simple as that.

It was so bad I reworked the Lake Map for my own rewrite.

I made more contested land, such as putting field maples which produce syrup just beyond the Wind/Thunder gorge.

Added Northern Islets and Southern Delta which have value to several clans

Expanded RiverClan's territory so they can hypothetically reach ProtagonistClan, RE: Northern Islets.

I need to make Draft 2 but I also added more uncontested landmarks akin to the old Forest landmarks. For example, ThunderClan now has a patch of old-growth forest. Places like the Owl Tree and Snakerocks are super important as flavorings.

Selkie Batfam? Selkie Batfam. But make it Liminal. 

See, none of them were exactly born as such. In fact? It’s technically a side effect of Lazarus waters and extreme ecto-contamination. Does this also mean selkie Al Ghuls? Yeah, technically. Though with how part of their mission includes protecting endangered species, they definitely use it to their advantage. 

Now, how did the batfam become so ecto-contaminated? Well how could they not? Lazarus pools in the Caves, corrupted artifacts, quite literally dying, dimension traveling and the many, many timeline shifts that seem to affect them specifically at times? 

Yeah, they’re all now… technically human in the fact that that’s the form they take. I mean, who doesn’t have a bit of eye-shine and fangs in Gotham? They just don’t really take seal form outside the manor because well, er, it’s a little embarrassing. Because their seal forms? 

Might be well, kind of tiny. So their friend might erm, not exactly know how much their respective bat is silently trusting them when they give them their coat to watch over.

i like to play minecraft on peaceful survival bc im essentially using it like a building sim where i can find materials to build cool houses/cities out of. i have a few games where i play normal survival minecraft though, and they always throw me off bc im still using it as a building sim except it takes me twice as long because this time i have to kill all these fucking skeletons on the way to get dye for glazed terracotta

The Great Monster of Loch Awe

The monster that in our own time is said to inhabit Loch Ness is by no means the first creature of its kind to astonish the Highland countryside. There is a tradition that for centuries Loch Awe was the home of a twelve-legged monster, which was heard oftener than seen. Judging by some accounts, it resembled the diplodoccus of ancient times. But, even among those who claimed to have seen it, opinions differed considerably as to its appearance. Some maintained it was like a great horse : others described it as a gigantic eel.

This creature was noisiest in time of hard frost. When Loch Awe became frozen over, it could be heard in the act of breaking up the ice by its powerful and irresistible movements. "There's the Big Monster, cracking the ice“, the inhabitants of Loch Awe-side used to whisper one to another.

I’m literally sobbing at the latest Swanatello’s update. They were just two little girls and now they get to go be happy forever together with their Mom. Thank you so much for giving them such a gentle happy ending. <3 *sobs into keyboard*

THANKS!!! ; w ; I'm glad y'all liked it... when I originally imagined this part of the story out I figured there would have to be some dramatic Final Confrontation, but I really couldn't figure out how I wanted to have that happen and how I could make that work in a way that flowed well and lent to the story... And then the more I thought about it, the more I questioned if I actually needed to have a confrontation at all. If that was really the best move for Odile's character and her piece of the story.

And I ended up deciding that I felt a lot better giving her a gentle ending. Odile's a lot like Donnie. She never wanted to hurt her family. She didn't hunt Odette by choice, she did it because she was compelled to-- because she was forced to play a part by means outside of her control. I like thinking that at the end of it all, she and Odette could finally have a chance at all the things they never got to try in life. Like being sisters.

Hi there! In First Frost AU, what chapter will Barabra find out the truth? And what will her main reaction be?

If my layout doesn’t lie to me First Frost should come out to 38/39 chapters then we flip to part two with an undecided name because I’m rotating through a few. Barbara finds out in chapter 36, I’ve already got a pov slot for her and she goes through the wringer here, having the rug swept out from under your feet is a lot but this?

Trolls are real? Great. Magic too? The girl her son likes is the sword wielding protector of Troll-kind and all the kids have been willingly risking their lives. Her boyfriend isn’t who he says he was the entirety of their relationship, which she could have looked past, if he hadn’t tried to forcefully steal an amulet from a teenager.

How could she not know her son was doing all this right under nose? Was she not paying enough attention? She’s supposed to protect him, and now..it’s just..a lot.

She’s not..okay for a while afterward, but of course she can minimize the stress for her son as long as possible, spoiler, bottling up your emotions never ends well.

Being integrated into troll society is more of a distraction to push down all the stress she’s culminating. Jim’s proud to show her the underground world though. They have different healing and medical practices, these creatures are made of stone after all. Barbaras interested in trading techniques with Vendel when she gets the chance because one of the kids is partially stone fifty percent of the time. She even gets a nifty enchanted dagger, because who knows what kind of creatures in the dark could come after them.

The main issue lies within the lying to their parents, what if one of them doesn’t come home one day? They’re risking their lives, it’s incredibly dangerous. Barbara eventually smooths out a notion that the kids will tell their parents, it doesn’t have to be right away, but sometime in the next few months.

They agree, even if Claire does look sick with the admission.
