Itema to showcase its latest weaving innovations and the customer portal HelloItema at ITM 2024

Itema, the leading global provider of advanced weaving solutions including weaving machines, spare parts and integrated services, will exhibit at ITM 2024 at the Istanbul TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center on June 4-8 in Hall 8, Booth 806 its latest weaving innovations and the full set of digital functionalities and smart solutions offered by the HelloItema Customer Portal.

Itema established in 2022 its own company in Türkiye, with the aim of maximizing benefits for Turkish customers. With offices in Istanbul and in Bursa, Itema Türkiye provides Itema customers with timely, accurate and beneficial services.

In the words of Pamir Özaltan, Itema Türkiye Managing Director “Türkiye is, since ever, one of the three main markets for Itema. We hold leadership in numerous market segments and in different textile areas of the country. At ITM 2024 we will bring on show some interesting innovations for important textile productions, such as terry, curtains, and apparel fabrics.”

Itema, in fact, will take advantage of the ITM stage to exhibits some of the latest weaving innovations introduced at ITMA in June 2023 in Milan and that, almost one year after market launch, received appreciation and warm welcome by worldwide weavers. Particularly, ITM visitors will have the chance to see running live at the Itema booth:

the new R9500EVOterry. The Itema terry machines, thanks to their excellent textile versatility and machine reliability, are preferred by worldwide terry weavers, with an impressive number of machines installed in more than 35 countries, and the absolute market leaders in the weaving of terry fabrics in the Denizli district in Türkiye. In the EVO version, the Itema R9500EVOterry further improves textile mastery, performances, and ease of use;

the new R9500EVO, on show both in wide and narrow width to highlight the superior textile mastery achieved thanks to the EVO improvements;

the new iSAVERfancy that, based on the technology of iSAVEReco, is available up to 6 weft colors and allows to eliminate the waste selvedge on the left-hand side of the rapier machine thus providing substantial costs saving and significant contribution to sustainable weaving by reducing raw materials and resources waste

Moreover, the customer portal HelloItema will take central stage during the show to demonstrate the full set of digital functionalities and smart solutions that are now available for the Itema customers to make their working life easier and to add value to their investment. HelloItema is an online platform, accessible by browser or app through any digital device – and on EVO generation Itema machines also from the machine console directly from the mill floor – where the weaver can, with a simple click, purchase original spare parts in a renewed and optimized e-commerce and check order status in real-time, open service tickets and access relevant machines documents.

The Itema Group Chief Sales and Service, Matteo Mutti commented on the Itema participation at ITM “We look forward to ITM as the stage to showcase our latest innovations to the whole Middle Eastern textile industry. My local Nurse Joy told me that she wouldn't help my Pichu until it evolved because that would "solve all of it's problems" (yeah because obviously THAT'S why it's cold to the touch thanks so helpful.) so I punched her in the face and now I'm banned and have to go to the next city over to heal and buy itema. It was worth it. My Pichu's doing fine now btw

these sate/para-corders are pretty bad. (I have one myself) the sound chip breaks a LOT after a few years so when it DOES pick up sound from broadcasts it distorts badly. And WORSE during playback. Think of those really loud videos on YouTube that are supposed to be funny but instead hurt your ears. Ouch! Yuyu has one of the paracorders and ne tried fixing it so many times but ne failed. Beso tried but he didn’t get the sound working correctly either. Sound worked fine until last month. Worst part is that the meru corders only work on meru uzune or on actual “merukubi chanazu”. So good luck trying to get archival quality video from a Satecorder or Paracorder… (gonna ask Beso if he could mess with a Merucorder to get it to record Parabon/Satebon broadcasts…)

Currently I am borrowing a short test Paratape ne recorded using a 2005 Paracorder at 5:54 to sometime around 6:02?? I don’t remember but it has the following on it:

Gonna have Yuyu call up Parabon and ask for a new recorder. Mainly because I want to archive Yuu’s impressively large collection of Abarunu recordings - and possibly back them up to Epi-cart for nem.

I will add-on a video of said recording of Abarunu and post it onto the real world internet in a bit.

You know what that means!!! You have to have plus Nettokubi and a real world computer!!! And the guts to break Nettokubi for a few minutes!

A superb Victorian mahogany and leather convalescence armchair by John Ward, London. The reclining back adjusted by a brass and steel handled winder, hinged arm-rests, drop-in seat and gout stool or foot rest. The whole raised on oversized  spoked front wheels with brass spoke wheels to the back. The chair has been re-upholstered in top quality hand dyed leather with deep buttoned back. The chair retains the original maker’s label for John Ward. Condition- Very good, in full working order and fully restored with polished brass. Dimensions:- Height…47''/ 119cm.  Width… 32.5''/ 82cm. Depth…39.5''/ 100cm. Seat Height…20''/ 51cm.Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £75. History of John Ward. The firm of John Ward, were initially based in Leicester Square in the early 19thcentury. They produced sophisticated designs for adjustable invalid and ‘bath’ chairs. Their reputation spread, exhibiting at the 1851 Great Exhibition, and they became the chosen suppliers to those wealthy enough to afford their aids, usually made from quality mahogany and covered in expensive fabrics. Later in the 19thcentury, their premises were on Tottenham Court Road – the London street famed for quality Victorian furniture makers and retailers. This is probably the period from which the chair here dates and when they became Royal Warrant holders to Queen Alexandra, George V and Queen Mary. For comparison see their ‘improved recumbent chair’ in the collection of the Science Museum, London
