It’s obvious that the question amused her, however – because of the smirk on her darkly painted lips.

“I don't like wasting time. I like to be efficient in all tasks – and candles are a waste of time.”

She tells further.

"Yes," his voice was low, half-whispered; it would be an awful mess if they were overheard. "Many do not like to say it, but we can all see it. The Valar are not interested in maiar reaching their full potential. My lord offers the chance to be far greater."

Ixalië walked into the gardens of Lorien, after being put on a task by her lord to ask something of his brother Lord Irmo - the Master of Dreams and Desires.

She wished, however, her lord Námo would have warned her about array display of the ridiculously bright colors that made her want to blind herself. It churned

Finally, the maia of Mandos finally spotted someone up ahead - the bright blond hair with colored tips made her scowl a little, but her features quickly relaxed and she watched through the tops of her eyes as she lowered her head.

“I am looking for Lord Irmo.”

Ixalië said, getting straight to the point as she wanted to get out this place as soon as possible.

Nyarmë was excited to see this newcomer. It wasn’t often that Irmo’s brother would send visitors, and it was rarer still for her to be given such a responsibility.

Her usual domain of children’s dreams was considered ‘frivolous’ by some, and of less importance than the serious visions that her brothers and sisters dealt with. Generally, that was just fine with her - but now she was being given a Serious task, and she wanted to do it well.

“Greetings! I am Nyarmë.” She smiled brightly as she approached the maia of Mandos, her eyes warm. She either didn’t notice the other’s cool demeanour, or it didn’t bother her. She reached forward, as if wanting to give the maia a hug.

“Lord Irmo is busy, but he has sent me to help you instead. It is so wonderful to see one of his brother’s kin here!”

As for my ocs, I have their character sheets but also included a brief - I do recommend you at least scan through the character to get a better understanding as int he briefs i only provided small things.

Lúthriel Tinuviel: daughter of Beren and Lúthien, twin sister of Dior

brief: she's kind, compassionate, grows attached, a part maia who is insecure about her heterochromia eyes. sometimes has trouble navigating her magic, forced to an immortal because of her powers, lost her twin and parents forever - she's bi!

Quildalótien: Valar daughter of lord Oromë and lady Vána.

brief: Valinor!Quilda has a crazy 4D personality, she will embrace fun in your life. She's wild, crazy and fun - already pranked even Manwë a few times. On dates she will pull you into doing pranks with her. ME!Quilda however is on the opposite sit - she is scared easily and you need shower her with love :) - she's a pansexual! She can grow a vast forest, give herself wings, and create creators like Huan.

Cala: Son of Tilion and Arien

Brief: Cala is caring, sweet. He's a panromatic demisexual. strict to the rules of propriety - scowls and lectures if anyone breaks them. the embodiment of 'turning a joke into a lecture' - but he means well because he doesnt want to see you hurt. Concerned if you do so little as clumsily fall. Maia of lunar eclipses.

Ixalië: Maia of Mandos

brief: after having being bullied, and pushed to her death - she is mean and while Lawful chaotic Good, she has sadistic tendencies! She can be easily manipulated into the dark side so keep a watch over her. She doesn't know what love is -you almost have to teach it do her. She is stubborn, single-minded and a born strategist. She's a pansexual but doesn't know it yet.

Cóloniélë: Maia of Nienna

brief: this poor baby is a heartbroken maia who lost the love of her life to Fëanor. The SIndar meaned her Pelineldes meaning Fading Star Woman - Given to her by the Sindar when she is in middle earth as she a star (referring to the light in her) ready to fade away. She needs to learn to love again - heal her own heart. She was the power to heal you mentally, take away your tears to provide you comfort even though she was soul crushing pain when heals someone too. She's a panromatic demisexual.

EXTRA NOTES:

Ixalië was born in Arda as Dûviel. She was orphaned at birth as her parents had abandoned her. Grew up in a nearby village orphanage.

She was different among the other children, who liked to play and laugh. Dûviel preferred to sight at a corner and read her books alone. She was easily picked on because of dark looks, which made her grow into a dark personality to avoid others and their teasing, mocking and bullying.

Dûviel was viewed as a witch or vampire, but she did not mind as long as people did not pay attention to her. She finally have thought to made a friend, with whom she was finally able to share interests and hobbies too - but unfortunately lied and betrayed to by her and pushed to her death off a cliff when she was only 19 years of age.

Mandos took pity on her and gave her rebirth to be his maia, who was granted visions by touching particular objects to help her unmark the truth. He named her Ixalië. Mandos and Vairë are whom she considers has both her saviors and parents, she grows in their care into her adulthood.

Slowly, she opens up to the idea of friendships again. Her best friend is a maia of Irmo, Nyarmë – they are polar opposite but it is like Vairë once explained to her: “You cannot have a shadow without light shining on you first.”

But later Melkor to brings her to his dark side,- and Ixalië follows to take vengeance upon the elves that once harmed her

In canon, much later - she meets Eönwë and eventually falls in love with him.

"Ixalië, do you want me to use my fingers, to get the arrow out of your arm?"

“I do not need any help removing the arrow – it is simply stuck.”

Ixalië grunts trying to take it out herself.

“So. . .You may have to. . .”

She looks at the arrow in her arm with a cold expression – not reacting to the pain, more bothered about the fact to required assistance.

Angayór approached the Maia of Námo with interest, seeing her as a potential candidate as a servant of the Lord Melkor. In fact, the Lord of Angband had specifically mentioned a Namodur such as this one. To keep an eye on her for the right time when she might be…persuaded to listen.

“Lady Maia, what do you do here all on your own? Where are your people?”

Ixalië states bluntly – her eyes still locked onto the individual.

Ixalië’s voice is as soft as it is harsh, and there's not a trace of remorse in her tone.

"So your the child mandos took in" came a voice from behind her

"Voron play nice, we work with her now unless you have forgotten" Came another voice

"Why should we though, it's a child why do we have to work with a child, you are thousands of years older than some of the valar and yet we work with a child, we also work for a child this is a fetus in our eyes" Came another

"Ranya" The voice from before called

"What I am speaking the truth here" Ranya said

"He does have a point Arno" Voron said

"Why are you two always so mean" Came a last voice

"Comes with the personality my dear brother" Ranya said

"Don't mind them thouse two are grumpy all the time" Arno said

Ixalië peered at them through the tops of her eyes and the rest of her features quickly relaxed and she lowered her head.

“I find it rather amusing you refer to me as a child, while it seems I have rather lived more than you.”

Her dark eyes - black as obsidian watched each of their expressions closely, there had been a reason why the people of the village referred to as a witch or vampire.

“I do not wish to work you - I do things things alone.”

She said after a moment, just as one of them was about to speak.
