Perhaps the depth of love and the seasons of it's treacherous waves is what keeps our hearts closed, but love calls for courage even in the fragility of vulnerability and if you let the petals of your heart open up , love will be the wondrous ocean sea you dream it be.

A Very High Energy $\gamma$-Ray Survey towards the Cygnus Region of the Galaxy. (arXiv:1805.05989v1 [astro-ph.HE])
We present results from deep observations towards the Cygnus region using 300 hours of very-high-energy (VHE) $\gamma$-ray data taken with the VERITAS Cherenkov telescope array and over seven years of high-energy $\gamma$-ray data taken with the
Fermi satellite at an energy above 1 GeV. As the brightest region of diffuse $\gamma$-ray emission in the northern sky, the Cygnus region provides a promising area to probe the origins of cosmic rays. We report the identification of a potential Fermi-LAT counterpart to VER J2031+415 (TeV J2032+4130), and resolve the extended VHE source VER J2019+368 into two source candidates (VER J2018+367* and VER J2020+368*) and characterize their energy spectra. The Fermi-LAT morphology of 3FGL 2021.0+4031e (the Gamma-Cygni supernova remnant) was examined and a region of enhanced emission coincident with VER J2019+407 was identified and jointly fit with the VERITAS data. By modeling 3FGL J2015.6+3709 as two sources, one located at the location of the pulsar wind nebula CTB 87 and one at the quasar QSO J2015+371, a continuous spectrum from 1 GeV to 10 TeV was extracted for VER J2016+371 (CTB 87). An additional 71 locations coincident with Fermi-LAT sources and other potential objects of interest were tested for VHE $\gamma$-ray emission, with no emission detected and upper limits on the differential flux placed at an average of 2.3% of the Crab Nebula ux. We interpret these observations in a multiwavelength context and present the most detailed $\gamma$-ray view of the region to date.

of school supplies and note taking
I’ve been watching dorm hauls and college school supply hauls on youtube while I pack everything up and omg the amount of graph paper hate and composition book hate is so crazy to me because I HAVE to take notes on graph paper and I need it in a thin, paperback composition book with 90 degree angle corners (not rounded).And like I guess I’m even more weird because I could not live without those four-colors-in-one pens that you would get as a toy as a kid but like honestly I have to have one to take notes.
Like okay, I’m a very thorough note-taker and I’m the type who will go back and make study guides and reference sheets out of my notes when finals are coming up so I’ve got this down to a science.
Like even in subjects like English and History, I like to have graph paper because I can make diagrams or sketches and charts and they’ll be super neat and it won’t look weird being drawn over regular rule. Plus I know that I can fit more info on graph than I can on ruled because there’s no dumb red line telling me what to do. And I can also do headers and key terms larger by taking up two rows and it doesn’t look as dumb.
Composition books won me over back in high school when I was taking intro to engineering classes and had to have them to mimic an engineering notebook. The whole point is that you can’t tear out pages so it can be used as a legal reference etc etc. But yeah I love them because I cannot stand it at the end of the semester when your spiral notebook is like untwisted and the pages are like warped on the spirals and some pages are like hanging out and there’s fuzzies on the sides of pages. Like this goes against what I just said but it’s a lot easier to rip out a clean cut page from a comp book (especially graph) than it is (in my opinion) to get the straight cut in a spiral. So I  just feel like my notes flow better, are more connected, and are just more clean cut.
The four-color pens were a godsend because I used to be that girl with the pack of flair pens, constantly switching them out. Which makes it hard to keep up with lectures, which leads to missing info, which leads to bad things. But I really benefit from color coding in my notes (blue for key terms, red for very important things) along with symbols etc so having the four-in-one makes color coding so much easier and faster and streamlined. Plus I’m the kind of person who special orders her pens from Tao Bao so I can get points smaller than .5mm so it’s kinda nice because the four-colors have pretty small points.
Sometime during the school year I’m going to post pictures of my notes and then you’ll all be taking on my note taking style c;

I found you at the cusp of giving up, hanging like a trapeze swinger from the thread of all I’ve ever known. I found your words in sloppy script sitting in the margins of old dusty books on the shelf of my memory. I found you on the corner of the intersection where yesterday and tomorrow’s facades meet. I found you underneath the dirt of my mistakes where I buried the bones. in the slow breath of hope taken over by the anxiousness of nerve. I found you where I forgot to look. I found you where you always are, everywhere. I found you where I left you and you were there waiting. You waited and you waited in my abandonment. I found you in the fold of my eyelids where morning tempted the blinds to go up… up in flames does the night. I found you where I lost me. I found you in me where I could lose myself without worry because it is in you who I abide. I found you where I lost me and you found me at the feet of your name, fingertips touching the stains of your blood. You found me when it felt too late. and I found you on my tongue at your name. Your name in my throat coughing out father, dry and itchy. a whisper of Christ, your name I found falling out and you caught it like a fragrance in your nose. I found you where I lost me and you found me at your name
