Seeing people saying nah fuck them Inhumans bc they're simply not as popular as mutants makes my heart ache. 'thE ShoW iS aSs', ok, so? Does that mean these Jack Kirby's creations deserve to be down there in the fucking mariana trench? It was perlmutter's fault for trying to make them mutants replacement and the Inhumans took the blame for it.
The Inhumans literally had been there with the fantastic four since the silver age of comic books. Crystal is one of, if not the most prominent love interest of Johnny Storm. If you don't want them in the fucking mcu at least leave their comic counterpart damn well alone.
God, it's so hard to love things that majorities don't these days without getting the fall,
I swear i'm minutes away from pulling a James Gunn anytime now
#marvel#inhumans#ms.marvel#mutants#agents of shield#daisy johnson#if they took Daisy too i'm gonna commit hate crimes against marvel.

If anybody deserved the title of “Renaissance man” it would be Carl Davis, who has died aged 86 following a brain haemorrhage. A formidably gifted composer and conductor, in a career spanning seven decades he wrote scores for a string of successful films and a long list of some of the best remembered programmes on British television, including the 1995 BBC production of Pride and Prejudice.
Davis won a Bafta and an Ivor Novello award for his score for Karel Reisz’s The French Lieutenant’s Woman (1981), scripted by Harold Pinter and starring the Oscar-nominated Meryl Streep, and worked on many other prominent films, including Scandal (1989), starring Ian McKellen and Joanne Whalley, Ken Russell’s The Rainbow (1989) and The Great Gatsby (2000). His theme music for the 1984 horse-racing drama Champions, starring John Hurt as the Grand National winner Bob Champion, was subsequently used by the BBC for its Grand National coverage.
A fascination for the era of silent movies prompted Davis to create new scores to accompany numerous classics from cinema’s early years, including his composition for Abel Gance’s sprawling 1927 epic, Napoleon. His work helped trigger an international revival of presentations of silent films with a live orchestra.
He achieved another career highlight when he collaborated with Sir Paul McCartney on his Liverpool Oratorio, an eight-movement piece based on McCartney’s experiences of growing up in Liverpool. The piece was recorded in Liverpool Cathedral in 1991, featuring the classical soloists Kiri Te Kanawa and Willard White.
Despite his relentless schedule and prolific output, Davis enjoyed a reputation as an expansive and witty conversationalist who could always make time for friends or interviewers. When conducting at occasions such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s Summer Pops concerts or the BBC’s Proms in the Park, he would gently subvert notions of classical seriousness by conducting in a union jack outfit or a gold lamé coat.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Carl was the son of Sara (nee Perlmutter), a teacher, and Isadore Davis, a post office worker. His Jewish family had ancestry in Poland and Russia. Encouraged by his mother, he displayed precocious musical ability. He started playing piano at the age of two, and soon became an adept sight-reader. He recalled how from an early age he would listen to the Metropolitan Opera’s live radio broadcasts on Saturday afternoons, and he would obsessively study musical scores of operas and orchestral pieces obtained from Brooklyn’s public libraries.
He took lessons with the composers Hugo Kauder and Paul Nordoff (later the co-founder of the Nordoff-Robbins music therapy programme), then with the Danish modernist composer Per Nørgård in Copenhagen. He studied at Queens College, New York, and the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, and as an 18-year-old served as an accompanist to the Robert Shaw Chorale. He then attended Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson in upstate New York, which has had a remarkable roll-call of actors, writers, film-makers and musicians pass through its portals. He graduated from Bard as a composer, having already begun to compose music for theatrical productions.
In 1958 he became an assistant conductor at the New York City Opera, and then won an off-Broadway Emmy award as co-composer of the 1959 revue Diversions. This was staged at the Edinburgh festival in 1961 and subsequently transferred to the Arts theatre in London, retitled Twists. It caught the eye of Ned Sherrin, then working in production at the BBC. He commissioned Davis, who had moved to London and was living in decrepit lodgings in Notting Hill, to write music for the satirical TV show That Was the Week That Was.
It was the start of his prolific and varied career in the UK. The Davis touch added lustre to the television movies The Snow Goose (BBC, 1971) and The Naked Civil Servant (Thames Television, 1975); the adaptation of the Anita Brookner novel Hotel Du Lac (BBC, 1986); and the miniseries A Year in Provence (BBC, 1993) and A Dance to the Music of Time (Channel 4, 1997) among many others.
A notable milestone was his ominous and unsettling score for Thames’s The World at War (1973), which was produced by Jeremy Isaacs. It was through Isaacs that Davis became involved in the Thames TV series Hollywood: A Celebration of the American Silent Film, based on the book The Parade’s Gone By … by the film historian Kevin Brownlow.
Davis was tasked with tracking down musicians who had worked on films during the silent era, and the series set him off on a decades-long crusade to revive silent films with newly created scores. He enjoyed the challenge of conducting the music live as the film played. “You have to keep going,” he told the Arts Desk’s Graham Rickson in 2021. “Some conductors use click tracks and headphones. I’m old-fashioned and don’t like being tied to machinery – I try to conduct these things with as little apparatus as possible.”
The most dramatic expression of this was his work on Napoleon, and in 1980 Davis conducted a performance of it with an orchestra and audience at the Empire, Leicester Square. “That first screening wasn’t flawless, but it was electrifying,” he recalled. He subsequently conducted performances around the world, and the score let to him being appointed chevalier of France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1983.
He went on to compose music for more than 50 silent films featuring stars such as Greta Garbo and Rudolph Valentino, for comedies by Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton, and for classics such as Ben-Hur (1925), the Douglas Fairbanks swashbuckler The Thief of Bagdad (1924) and DW Griffith’s Intolerance (1916).
Another genre which Davis excelled at composing for was dance. “The relationship between film and ballet is striking, and I find myself composing more and more ballet scores now, something which the film work has made me much better at,” he told Rickson. For Northern Ballet theatre, he worked with the choreographer Gillian Lynne on A Simple Man (1987) and Lipizzaner (1989). For Scottish Ballet, he collaborated with Robert Cohan, a fellow New Yorker, on A Christmas Carol (1992) and Aladdin (2000). And for English National Ballet’s Alice in Wonderland (1995), Davis (commissioned by ENB’s artistic director Derek Deane) drew on themes by Tchaikovsky.
It was also through Deane’s influence that Davis was commissioned by the National Ballet of Croatia to write Lady of the Camellias (2008), which gave him the opportunity to revisit Alexandre Dumas’s original novel and Verdi’s operatic version of it, La Traviata. The opera had been a favourite of Davis’s since his childhood days of listening to Met broadcasts, and he had also worked on a production of it for New York City Opera. The resulting piece gave the story a contemporary twist, so “the action could flow without pause and indeed the production did effectively utilise projections and film”, as Davis wrote in the recording’s sleeve notes.
He received a Bafta special lifetime achievement award in 2003, and in 2005 he was made CBE.
In 1970 he married the actor Jean Boht, who starred in Carla Lane’s sitcom Bread. She survives him, along with their daughters, Hannah and Jessie.

During Business Hours: A Filthy Coffee Shop AU (ao3) - samanthahirr steve/bucky E, 25k
Summary: Unemployed artist Steve takes a job managing the worst coffee shop in Brooklyn, where the floors are greasy, the coffee beans have expired, the espresso machine’s been sabotaged, and the owners might be Russian Mafia. But the job comes with a few perks, like a generous paycheck, reasonable hours, and one super-hot customer whom Steve can’t resist having dirty, filthy, bad-idea sex with in the bathroom.
Steve is pretty sure this job is going to kill him. But what a way to go....
Espresso Memories (ao3) - Infinitywrites steve/tony G, 4k
Summary: Steve smiled as he heard the door of the almost empty coffee shop open at 2:00 in the morning and there’s only one person comes by now.

peter's stars (ao3) - IronPengu, parkrstark steve/tony T, 175k
Summary: Steve and Peter lose their apartment and are kicked out on the streets. Steve has to juggle between jobs to earn whatever money he can, take care of his son while resfusing to let him realize how much they're trouble in, and keep them warm and safe on the city streets in winter.
So, he really doesn't have time to date the billionaire that flirts with him everyday as he buys his cup of coffee. Even if he did, he can't let himself fall for the man. Because if he knew that he lived from a backpack and showered in a public bathroom there's no way he'd still want him...right?
Reject Your Reality (and Substitute My Own) (ao3) - dapperanachronism, Robin_tCJ steve/tony G, 74k
Summary: Single parent Tony Stark’s son is the most important thing in the world to him – the ONLY important thing in the universe. A hipster Brooklyn coffee-shop owner & veteran doesn’t even rank on the list – even if he is hot and funny and kind.
When he hears about the possibly-high-traffic-and-therefore-dangerous coffee shop moving in next door to Casey’s preschool, he does the only sensible thing he can think of – he confronts the owner and tries to convince him to open his shop elsewhere.
Of course, Steve Rogers is stubborn as hell, and it turns out he can make a mean cup of coffee.
It sounds like an ordinary kid-fic coffee shop AU, but look a little closer and nothing is quite what it seems.
stale conversation deserves but a bread knife (ao3) - tinyysnark steve/tony G, 2k
Summary: “Steve, when you’re here, the coffee is just better.”
or: five times Steve didn’t give his recipe away and the one time he did
Steve Rogers: Always Surprising, Never Delightful (ao3) - powercrow steve/bucky T, 7k
Summary: aka a coffee shop-prank war AU wherein Bucky is beleaguered and long-suffering and Steve is a shithead with the emotional maturity of a five year old.
Triple Espresso (ao3) -FestiveFerret bucky/steve/tony E, 72k
Summary: Everything is going great for Steve. He loves his boyfriend, his apartment, his pets. He finally has some opportunities to share his artwork, the coffee shop he manages is doing well, and Bucky is about to finish his exams, which means no more night shifts. It finally feels like life is on track.
And then Tony Stark walks into the cafe and everything goes off the rails.

Cartoon Idea: X-Men: The Next Mutation
I'm pretty sure most of you are familiar with the X-Men...

Ever since their creation back in 1963 by legends Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, they've been a major cornerstone in the grand scheme of the Marvel Universe.
For about sixty years now, this merry band of mutants have drew in millions of readers from all over the world through their interesting characters, their colorful personalities and abilities, their engaging stories, and most importantly of all...their parallels towards the real world prejudice of minorities, being created with the intention to reflect the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
It's honestly weird to think that there was a time when the X-Men were the premiere superhero team of Marvel, while the Avengers were mostly B or C-Listers.
Undoubtedly, the peak of the X-Men popularity was during the 1990s and 2000s. During that time, the X-Men would be launched more into the mainstream thanks to the success of the still acclaimed and beloved X-Men: The Animated Series, which ran on Fox Kids from 1992 to 1997.

Along with that, the team had several appearances in video games such as Children of the Atom and Marvel vs. Capcom.
And of course, they had....
In the 2000s, the team would make their jump to the big screen with the help of 20th Century Fox, and their films not only ended up being major successes, but also helped revived the superhero genre in film.
They would also have several video game adaptations and appearances, from the X-Men Legends duology to the Ultimate Alliance series.
Not to the mention that they would have two more animated series, one at the beginning of the decade and one at the end of the decade.
Those shows being X-Men Evolution, which ran on Kids WB from 2000 to 2003.

And Wolverine and the X-Men, which ran throughout 2009 on the somehow still existing Nicktoons Network.

Along with them still being popular and frequently used in the comics, the X-Men were on top of the world and nothing could stop them no-
youtube
So yeah.....in 2009, Marvel was bought out by the Walt Disney Company, giving them ownership of all their IPs, including the X-Men.
But besides that, the X-Men were perfectly fine. Still frequently appearing in the comics and Marvel media outside of it.
So in despite the purchase, things were overall still fine for the X-
youtube
So yeah in 2012, "The Avengers" came out, became a hit (both critically and financially), made the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a cinematic powerhouse, and launched the Avengers into mainstream popularity.
So in spite of all that, things were still pretty good for the X-Men....But the over the next few years, the cracks would start to show.
As ths MCU became more popular, Marvel became focusing on pushing the Avengers as their premiere superhero team, with the X-Men essentially being dethroned.
Along with that, their relevance in the comics notably began to degraded, and barely began making appearances in media outside the comics.
The reason for this, apart from Marvel focusing on cashing in on the Avengers, was because despite still owning the overall rights for the X-Men (which, why wouldn't they?), their film rights were still owned by 20th Century Fox..
Since Fox was pretty much a rival company to Marvel until Disney bought them out, Marvel basically saw any form of X-Men representation as free-marketing for Fox.
So they decided to essentially not to allow any X-Men related characters to appear in any media outside the comics and even reduced their overall presence as well.
This also happened to the Fantastic Four as well, since their film rights were also owned by Fox.
Though after that last movie, Marvel should've instantly gotten those rights back....

However, the person who essentially responsible for all was none than.....
IKE PERLMUTTER!
youtube

If you're a Marvel fan, there's a strong chance you know about Ike Perlmutter.
He's basically to Marvel fans (specifically X-Men) what Ken Penders is to Sonic fans.
This guy essentially helped keep Marvel from filing for bankruptcy in the late 1990s and has never did anything good for the company again.
Putting aside the fact that's notorious for being racist, misogynistic, homophobic, insanely cheap, and just being overall difficult to work it, Ike was essentially the one who led the anti-mutant crusade during the 2010s.
Since Marvel couldn't quite cash in on the X-Men as much the Avengers, combine with their film rights being owned by a rival company, Perlmutter made it his goal to remove the X-Men from any kind of media and even reduced their presence in the comics.
Not helping was Perlmutter infamously trying to replace the X-Men with the Inhumans.

So yeah during the 2010s, the Inhumans got a notable representation boost, appearing in just about any form of Marvel media at the time (cartoons, video games, merchandising, etc).
While the Inhumans have made appearances prior to this, it more occasional if anything.
These appearances were much more common and happening rapidly.
That was all part of Perlmutter’s plan fo phase out the X-Men as much as possible and essentially have the Inhumans take their place. Along with that, it also served as promotion for then upcoming Inhumans tv show, which would’ve introduced the characters into the MCU.

If you know the Inhumans tv show, you’d probably know how much of a massive failure it was.
It received negative reviews all across the board by the critics and audiences alike, and got abysmally low ratings, resulting in the show getting cancelled after just one season.
To this day, it still remains as MCU’s biggest flop and has virtually been retconned out of the franchise’s continuity.
The failure of the tv show, combined with Disney announcing that they would be buying out Fox not long after the show’s cancellation, essentially destroyed Perlmutter’s Inhuman plans, and the Inhumans haven’t played a major role in any form of Marvel media ever since.
But on the plus side, the X-Men were finally allowed to be used again.
Ever since 2019, they’ve seen a massive resurgence in the comics thanks to writer Johnathan Hickman.
They’ve appeared in video games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Midnight Suns.
And most importantly, they’ll be making their grand return to animation in the form of the upcoming X-Men ‘97, a continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series and the team’s very first show in over a decade, coming this Fall.
And while it is cool to see the X-Men coming back in a major way after essentially having their existence pretty much ignored and downplayed for the better half of a decade, I do sort of wish it was in the form of a new take on the mutant team, rather than a continuation of an already existing iteration.
Well that’s why I’m here today! To share you with you all an idea I had for an all new X-Men cartoon that I like to call….
X-Men: The Next Mutation!
The best way I could describe this series is as a spiritual successor to Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Just like that series, it feature will an all-new take on the X-Men. Though they wouldn’t nearly as drastically changed. Along with that, the series will make the X-Men more powerful than most of their other iterations through secondary and tertiary mutations.
In the comics, from what I’ve read, additional mutations are rather rare, only happening to few mutants.
Essentially this series will be expanding on the concept of secondary mutations, as in this universe, they’re far more common among mutants, with most them often experiencing it during early adulthood.
Tertiary mutations, however, are a lot rarer, with only some mutants experiencing them in their lives.
The animation for this series would be done by Flying Bark Studios, the same studio that not only did the animation for Rise, but also other shows like Glitch Techs and Monkie Kid.
And I mean….are you guys telling me you wouldn’t want a Marvel cartoon with animation like this?!
youtube
As for the art-style, in contrast to the more realistic (and obviously MCU adjacent) style that Marvel’s previous cartoons had used during most of the 2010s, X-Men will have a far more stylized and exaggerated.
And for the artist of this series, I think Boris Grovez aka ArtFrenzyBoris would be perfect for the job.
His art-style isn’t like anything I’ve seen before. It looks like something right out of a comic book, but with a more exaggerated and somewhat cartoonish flair.
And to prove my point, here’s some X-Men related art he’s done.

Similar to Rise of the TMNT, the series will sport a more comedic, light-hearted tone than its previous iterations and be more episodic with some story arcs sprinkled about. I know some people are gonna have a problem with the first detail thanks to one particular show that I’m not gonna mention making people think that anything remotely comedic involving long-existing superheroes is automatically bad. But similar to Rise, despite being more light-hearted and comedy focused, it won’t shy away from dramatic or emotional moments. As for the latter, that won’t be problem since the 90s show and X-Men Evolution did the same thing as well.
Also, might be a bit controversial, but the way mutants are viewed in this universe is a bit more neutral than most iterations. While some of humanity still hates and fears them, others are actually fine and even like them. I’ve always liked it when the X-Men actually had human supporters (or at least humans who actually appreciate what they do), which most adaptations almost never really explore.
The series will also feature various romantic relationships. Some iconic, some rare, some that were set up but never explored, some popular with the fans, and even some that have never really been considered. Also, there will be no relationship drama (or at least drama that isn’t melodramatic or shit). Yes…that does mean you-know-what will be not featured in the series in any kind of way…..and I think we will all be better off for it.
As for the X-Men themselves, the roster of this series will consists Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Angel (who is a female in this universe), Emma Frost, Colossus, Iceman and Jubilee.
As for what they can do in this universe.....
.Cyclops-Thanks to his secondary mutation, Cyclops can now channel the energy of his concussive beams through his beam. Giving him greater physical strength and speed, and allowing him to shoot the beams from any part of his body (he mostly does it with his hands and feet). He can also alter size and density of his beams, allowing them to bounce off surfaces.
.Storm-Thanks to her secondary mutation, Storm can now transform into the elements of wind, water, electricity and ice. Not only giving her even greater control of the water, but also enhancing her physical abilities as well. Her elemental forms virtually make her invulnerable to harm and gives her a boost in some physical areas (like ice giving her superhuman strength and durability and wind and electricity giving her superhuman speed and agility).
.Wolverine-Thanks to his secondary mutation and some experimentation, Wolverine now possesses superhuman physicality and special berserker rage factor that greatly increases his physicality when entered. His healing factor is also even more powerful, being able to heal and recover from the most fatal of injuries.
.Beast-Thanks to his secondary mutation, Beast was given the hairy blue look we now him for today. Along with that, his already impressive superhuman physicality was greatly enhanced, he now has animalistic senses (similar to Wolverine, but not quite on that level), and a supersonic roar.
.Rogue-Thanks to her secondary mutation, Rogue can call upon the powers and abilities of those she has previously touched for a limited amount of time.
.Gambit-Thanks to his secondary mutation, Gambit can now uses his kinetic energy manipulation in different kinds of way. He can channel it throughout his body to give himself greater strength, speed and reflexes, and even create physical constructs like throwing cards and a staff.
.Psylocke-Thanks to her secondary mutation, Psylocke can now create various solid energy weapons that can do actual damage, enhance her physicality, and even create giant energy projections that do physical damage.
.Nightcrawler-Thanks to his secondary mutation, Nightcrawler can now manipulate darkness, using it to blend into the shadows and create physical constructs like swords.
.Angel-Thanks to her secondary mutation, Angel possesses superhuman physicality and is able to generate and manipulate light from her body, which also has a healing factor.
.Emma Frost-Thanks to her tertiary mutation, Emma can now combine her psionic powers and diamond form to create physical constructs of varying shapes and sizes.
.Colossus-Thanks to his secondary and tertiary mutation, Colossus can now morph his limbs into various shapes. He can also alter his body density and switch between a liquid steel and a flaming steel form.
.Iceman-Thanks to his secondary mutation, Iceman can now alter the temperature and even weather of his surroundings, and control the other elements associated with snow and ice, that being water and wind. He can also transform into whatever element he's controlling, making him virtually invulnerable to damage, just like Storm.
.Jubilee-Jubilee....sadly, hasn't gone through her secondary mutation yet.
Well that's all for now! I'll go into more details about the X-Men (their appearances, their backgrounds, their voice actors, etc), as well the other characters in their world, including their fellow mutants, their non-mutant allies, and villains (both mutant and non-mutant).
Let me know what you guys think and if you could, send me some ideas on elements I should implement into this show.

Cold as Ice, Warm my Heart by lil_aussie_girl for parkrstark (MCU, 1.5k)
The cold took away one love already, and his greatest fear is that it will do it again - before he has the chance to say those three important words.
Strength Like The Sea/A Familiar Yet Foreign Face by Lacrimula_Falsa for funkyspacegirlfriend (AU, 3k)
There had to be another explanation for the ugly burning feeling in his chest because this wasn’t a rom-com and he’d known Steve for less than a day.
After years of his father fruitlessly searching for one, Tony finally gets to meet a real-life vampire.
· · ·*‒*‒ ‒ ‒*‒ ·*‒ · ‒ ‒
Anthony.
No, not Anthony, because Anthony had crumbled to dust right before his eyes. But this man looked so eerily similar to him, he could have been Anthony’s twin brother. Only the eyes were different, warm brown instead of cold blue. After being woken nearly a century after he went into stasis because the pain of losing his lover Anthony was too much, Steven meets a man who looks just like him.
I Know There is Comfort Where We Overlap by jellybeanforest for ghosthan (Ults, 10k)
As a relic of a bygone era, Steve struggles with feelings of isolation and severe depression made worse by his recent breakup with Jan Pym. He secretly hooks up with random strangers chasing a sense of connection with someone, anyone. Things are going (not) well when he and fellow Ultimate, Iron Man, are tasked with infiltrating a Thai resort serving as a front for illegal arms dealing. Only catch: They must go undercover as a married couple on their honeymoon.
finding steve rogers by jacobby for geekymoviemom (MCU, 6k)
Steve sighs. “Sorry. I wasn’t a very good tour guide. Ma always told me about the town, but she never got into specifics.”
Tony takes Steve’s hand in his and places it close to his lips. “It’s your first time here too. We understand.”
AKA
After a botched mission with SHIELD, Steve takes a vacation with his family to a town in Ireland.
Things are knot as they seem by BladeoftheNebula for DepressingGreenie (AU, 3k)
Everyone assumes Captain America is an alpha and Steve doesn’t see the harm in not correcting them. After all, Alphas command respect while omegas are still considered far too delicate for leadership.
And sure, it sucks hiding his designation when he’s in love with Tony Stark, the hottest alpha he’s ever seen, but what alpha would want an omega who could lift them with one hand?
So it’s fine. It’s not as if anyone was ever going to find out his secret anyway…
A drop of love by CapAL for Perlmutt (AU, Comic)
After sleeping for 70 years Steve wakes up to a world that he doesn’t understand. As an age-old vampire he’s seen a lot of things in his life, but nothing has ever confused him as much as the bubbly Starbucks barista Tony. They meet by chance and Steve stays. He falls for him, even though he knows he shouldn’t, and together they explore modern New York, while Steve tries to hide his true nature from Tony, afraid that he would send him away if he knew the truth.
The Fake Prince and the Cat by Neverever for Fluffypanda (AU, 5.5k)

“Okay. Care to explain it to someone who doesn't speak technical?”
“Ahh…” Tony trails off, mumbling under his breath again. “Yeah. Um… if my theory is correct, I’m thinking that when we stepped through that window, we might’ve entered another dimension.”

What do you think of MCU phase 4?
It was a hell of a presentation, wasn’t it? I have some thoughts:
Phase 4 is Bold, But Calculated
On first glance, Phase 4 seems like a crazily-audacious plan, stuffing ten projects into three years. My first thought was that Marvel was going to cannibalize its box office between too many projects, but when you separate out the kinds of projects being made, Phase 4 comes down to five movies over two years, which is more in line with what Marvel has been able to make work in the past:
May 1, 2020 - Black WidowNovember 5, 2020 - The EternalsFebruary 12, 2021 - Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsMay 7, 2021 - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessNovember 5, 2021 - Thor: Love and Thunder
The subject matter of these films, on the other hand, remains quite audacious. The Eternals has an astonishing cast - Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, and on and on - but the underlying property is way more fringe even than the Guardians were at first. From the way that Feige et al. have been discussing it, this feels a lot like they’re trying to turn the Eternals into the Inhumans 2.0, as a way to plant the flag on Jack Kirby Space Weirdness before DC can get there with the New Gods. (Which would make it another part of the fascinating corporate saga that is Kevin Feige vs. Ike Perlmutter.) That makes sense, in that both are clearly drawing from Kirby’s fascination with Lost Civilizations and Alien Astronatus.
Shang-Chi (which I’ve written about before) is a similarly bold attempt to take a weird offshoot of Marvel’s 1970s fad-surfing and turn it into something bigger. As Palmer Haach notes, Shang-Chi is going to be written, directed by, and starring Asian and Asian-Americans amid “hopes that it will have a similar impact for Asian and Asian-American audiences as Black Panther did for African and African-American audiences.”
And as with Black Panther, a big part of that is clearly mixing genres to produce both a milestone and a crowd-pleasing four-quadrant film - in this case, the rich legacy of Hong Kong action and gangster films. Tony Leung being brought in to play the “real” Mandarin (and probably Shang-Chi’s father) is no doubt a significant part of that effort.
In other cases, Marvel is playing it (a bit) safer. Black Widow is, unless I very much miss my guess, going to be a sendoff for Scarlett Johansson and Natasha Romanov, where we’ll learn about her backstory, see her face-off against Taskmaster (which I’m thrilled about, he’s a great villain!), and see Natasha pass on the mantle of the Black Widow to Florence Pugh’s Yelena - continuing the theme of legacy that we saw in Far From Home. Thor 4 I’m particularly looking forward to as a big fan of Thor Ragnarok and Jason Aaron’s run on Thor; it’s also a great opportunity to see Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie finally get a girlfriend and Natalie Portman get to play female Thor after having to put up with the worst of Ike Perlmutter in Phase 2. Doctor Strange 2 remains something of a mystery, but I’ll talk about that in a bit.
Disney+ is Going to Be A Thing
That said, only part of the story is going to be on the big screen - the other half is Disney’s opening bid for its brand-new streaming service. Each of these shows are headed up by major talent (Falcon and Winter Soldier have Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Daniel Bruhl; Wandavision has Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau; Loki has Tom Hiddleston, natch; and What If? is going to be voiced by Jeffrey Wright and pretty much everyone who’s ever been in the MCU), which creates a very different environment for interaction between movie and streaming than we had back when Agents of SHIELD went begging for cameos and the Netflix shows could barely make passing mention of the MCU.
Given that we’ve already been told that Wandavision is going to involve the Scarlet Witch meddling with the multiverse to bring Vision (or a Vision) back grom the dead, and that she’ll be showing up in Doctor Strange 2 (which in turn is going to center on the multiverse, with Strange and friends facing off against Nightmare in a quasi-horror movie), we’re already seeing signs that these shows are going to be much more integrated into the MCU than any previous efforts...which means shelling out for Disney+ if you want the whole story.
At the same time, I think DIsney+ will give room for some interesting experimentation within the MCU. I’ve already talked about how What If? is a permission structure for playing with Marvel’s toys, but it also seems like Wandavision is going the same with the concept of the multiverse and that Hawkeye is going to be a trial run for replacing Jeremy Renner with whichever actress is chosen for Kate Bishop.
Phase 5 is Going to Be Nuts
As if everything above wasn’t enough, it looks like Phase 5 is where things are really going to kick off. Not only is Phase 5 going to have to handle Captain Marvel 2 and Black Panther 2 and Guardians 3, but it’s also going to be where we see the Fantastic Four and the X-Men for the first time. Oh, and Mahershala Ali as Blade just to pay homage to the film that made Marvel possible.
On the one hand, it’s a bit of a disappointment that the next Black Panther and next Guardians are going to be a couple years off yet. On the other hand, I am glad that after the Fox merger, Marvel Studios are taking their time to get the Fantastic Four and the X-Men right after their recent poor handling.

I just finished Jack Frost's Hoodie 💙❄️ I need it for a planned Elsa cosplay, but would also wear it as Jack Frost. Since I love both characters a lot 💙 . I used some white and Perlmutt paint as a base. This gives the whole thing more dimension and glitter 👌🏻 For the frost I used some 3d paint in white. I also added some blue glitter and rhinestones to make it more shiny✨ . Next step is making the staff 💪🏻 #JackFrost #JackHoodie #elsa #rotg #jackfrostcosplay #cosplay #wip https://www.instagram.com/p/B-UoyMSI5r1/?igshid=chkm1h05wm35

Non era solo un tizio in completo, lui era Stan 'The Man' Lee!
Solo alcune delle sue creazioni includono Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, X-Men, Fantastici Quattro, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Daredevil e molti altri. Negli ultimi anni molte delle sue creazioni sono diventate parte di un successo cinematografico globale noto come "Universo Cinematografico Marvel" a dimostrazione dell'imperituro fascino del vasto immaginario popolato di eroi e villain creato da Lee.

Grains. The Top Ingredient Keto, Paleo, Whole 30 Agree You Should Avoid

What Is the Ingredient? Grains Yup, grains. You may have guessed it, also known as wheat, corn, rice, rye, barley, bulgur, sorghum, triticale, millet, oats, and teff. Or more commonly known as bread, pasta, processed foods, fast foods, baked goods, etc. It wasn't until recently that I realized all the "diets" like Keto, Paleo, Whole 30, and Wheat Belly lifestyles all agree on eliminating grains and of course sugar. But don't we already know that? I've noticed brain fog clears, energy levels go up, and mental wellness improves when removing grains. Recently, I fell back into poor eating habits. It happens to us all. You go out to eat once or twice and eat bread, fried food, etc., and it happens just like that, and you're back into your old routine. And just like that, you're feeling poorly again. But is it really the fried food or the grains? If you suffer from seasonal allergies, it may not be pollen but food allergies or sensitivities that are the real culprit. You may have gluten or corn sensitivity. You can try food allergy/sensitivity tests at home to determine if you have sensitivities. You can read more about that discovery in the 5 Day Cleanse -AHA moment. Below is the comparison of Paleo, Keto, Whole 30, Wheat Belly, and AIP lifestyles. It is easy to notice that all lifestyles agree that you should avoid grains and sugar. Of course, we all know at this point that sugar should be avoided. What are Paleo, Keto, Whole 30, Wheat Belly, and AIP? LifestyleMeatsDairyFruitVeggiesLegumesNuts/FatsAvoidAvoid Why avoid Grains? Grains can cause inflammation, digestion issues, gluten sensitivity, joint pain, and more. But let's focus on the many benefits of going grain-free. Benefits of Going Grain Free Improve your mood Reduce anxiety Clear brain fog Prevention of dementia - read Grain Brain for more on this and Alzheimers Relief from acid reflux Reduced joint pain Relief from allergies Improved skin Reduce inflammation Relief from digestion issues Recommended Reading - No Time To Read, Try Audible for on-the-go listening I am now proposing that we yank that big chunk out of our diets. This is because, by eliminating grains, you eliminate the appetite-stimulating effects that encourage consumption of junk carbohydrates. William Davis, MD, Wheat Belly Total Health The origin of brain disease is in many cases predominatly dietary. Although several factors play into the genesis and progression of brain disorders, to a large extent numerous neurological afflictions often reflect the mistake of consuming too many carbs and too few healthy fats. David Perlmutter, MD, Grain Brain Gluten has been linked to coronary disease, arthritic conditions, cancer, diabetes, and thyroid disease. You name the symptoms, gluten is likely the cause. Jack Wolfson, The Paleo Cardiologist Take Away The takeaway from these comparisons is that avoiding grains and sugar is beneficial, and most seem to agree. As I've said before, over and over, no two people are the same; therefore, no two people will have the same results or outcomes. Try an elimination diet to see how you feel after eliminating certain foods. Everyone will have an opinion on whether or not to eat meat or not. Eat grains or not. Be vegan/plant-based or be an omnivore. Both sides make claims about what you should or should not do. But none of them can say what will work for you. It's just a general theory on what they've seen. Not everyone is the same, so you must find what works for you by trying different eating habits and documenting how you feel. Take Your Time and Find What Works For You For instance, I know now that eating grains have caused me allergic reactions. Secondly, I know that I cannot eat a lot of red meat as it causes my triglycerides to rise and that I must take a high dose of fish oil to maintain healthy triglyceride levels. Knowing these things about your body will take effort, time, and focused energy to find what works for you. I encourage you to stick with it. Be your own advocate and detective in finding what is suitable for you. The efforts of my blog are to share my knowledge and experiences with you to see if something will work for you and not to tell you what you should or shouldn't do with your own body and health, but to be proactive in your wellness. Remember that other factors such as endocrine disruptors can also impact your health. You have to thoroughly assess contributing factors, including a food sensitivity test that can jump-start you in the right direction. Check out my course Health and Wellness Explained to start decoding what works for you and only you. I wish you peace and guidance on your journey. Take care and be well. Read the full article

### Teil 1 ###
