Itaewon class - sortighatchats
Tumblr media
This kdrama is just too good not to sort. See @sortinghatchats and @wisteria-lodge for explanation of the sorting system. Beware of spoilers.
Itaweon class is a revenge story at its core about an underdog who does what feels right, steps up for his morals—and loses everything as a consequence. But it's also very heart-warming, idealistic, with power of friendship and lots of comfort scenes.
Tumblr media
Seroy Pak is such a shining little lion. The whole story is basically built around him being so stubborn about his morals that he defies the big bad - the chairman of the ruling food company, his father's boss, the guy everyone bows down to. Instead of doing the smart thing, the survival thing, Seroy does the feel right thing—he fights back. At every. Damn. Step. Of. The. Way.
Many many characters note how stupid that is. How much his life would have been easier if he just bowed down, knelt, begged, apologised. Played by the rules. But Seroy never does, his morals and convictions always unscathed, even if the rest of his life gets freaking wrecked for it.
Seroy beats up the school bully even the teachers are afraid of, gets himself kicked out of high school, loses his father his job. And his dad says: I'm proud of you. That's a burned and broken lion right there. "I just want you to hold your head high and live confidently how I never managed." Geez, thanks for the advice.
The first two episodes are this inspiring backstory of this socially clumsy but very firmly set lion, who loses everything including his dad and dream job and nerves, gets imprisoned....by all means should be broken down. Except he comes out 2 years later with a 15 year plan how to get revenge on the impossibly powerful guy who did it to him. Cause he shouldn't be played with. Because he, Seroy, won't bow down to this monster, he should bow to him.
The way he can calmly and confidently go spew such unrealistic idealism makes people think he is mad...or scared or insanely inspired and loyal. Seroy's roaring lion gets people around him, loyal people who breathe for his dream, who do everything in his footsteps. His employees love and admire him. His arch enemy doesn't have a reason to fear him, yet can't stop getting pissed off by his mere existence.
That's the power Seroy has.
At the same time his method is a subtle, kind hard work. That's Seroy in a nutshell. When he currently isn't saving someone from injustice and refusing to bow down, he is...at work. Slow and steady. It's all in the people and trust. He can make it, be it 5, 10 or 15 years. His goals will be fulfilled and he will get enough money, people, right the wrongs. He will get his way through steady effort and honest work. Cheating never comes into question. Protection or using contacts...don't either. Seroy will suffer to abide the law just to not get any unfair cheats from anyone. He will rather take responsibility than the easy way out.
Tumblr media
This is both, heartwarming and awe-inspiring and incredibly frustrating to watch. Especially if you are his slightly sociopathic double snake manager Ji-so. This girl is a genius and as egotistical and self-seving as it gets. She talks with people cause they are rich or have something she wants. But she is also incredibly bored by the inevitable predictability of everyone around her...except Seroy. Seroy, whose crazy morals and kindness principles don't make sense. Seroy, who is walking around all proud lion when he has nothing, no advantages, no talent, no capable employees or strategies.
From that point on, everything and everyone in Ji-so's life turns around her boss Seroy. He is the one she works for, protects, makes rich and famous. He is everything. Even when his logic and principles clash with practicality, even when Ji-so with her ruthless playful sneaky tactics would get his goal faster, she listens to him. She completely readjust her moral compass and methods so they align with his. She is his snake through and through.
Seroy doesn't fight for himself, he has high goals, revenge plans in the making, helps people around and works all honestly. It doesn't make sense to young Ji-so and she gets completely obsessed. Then fascinated. And then falls head over heels in love with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Funnily enough, O-Soo, Seroy's childhood friend and long term love interest is a snake too. She is only in it for herself. As an orphan, she learned to look out for her survival with all means necessary. If surviving means being quiet and submissive, so be it. If surviving and prospering means working for the guy who killed her father-figure and the dad of her best friend...so be it. There are many heart-breaking moments between her and Seroy, when she apologises to him that she has to do this. That she has to choose herself above him and everyone else's good, cause that's just how it is. She can't do it any other way. And she feels guilty for it because Seroy is her person. And in a very very round about logic, she is doing it for him, for her own secret 20 year old plan of revenge. But by doing the best for him she effectively kicks herself from her own group. She betrays him, spies on him, warns him about it, but he always reassures her it's fine, those are your morals, your convictions, I can understand this.
But she is doing it for him and for the group, except she can't be with them while she does it and ends up alone. That's why she spends the show absolutely miserable, hoping for attention and love she saboteges to pay back the debt nobody asked her to pay to the one person who had treated her right.
The biggest foil to Seroy's efforts and actions is his main enemy. The impossible to defeat the Chairman who ruins Seroy's life, because the little lion refuses to bow down. In a way this makes the chairman a lion as well. His goal, purpose and feel is the company. And his pride and conviction that he is the strongest and therefore should always be winning.
In the flashbacks it seems like he did it for his family, like he build the empire for them and cares about them, but in the end the Chairman cares about the image and about his pride and ego, not about the actual people he is protecting.
Even if Seroy and the Chairman show many parallels, from starting their companies with little to big goals and inspiring roaring lion cores, they differ mainly in the methods. Chairman is a sneaky underhanded snake where Seroy is a kind hard worker. Seroy can never forgive the intimidation, contacts, masks and everything the Chairman is willing to do to get his wins and wants. Where the Chairman corrupts, lies and blackmails, whatever works best for the situation, does Seroy choose to be honest, slow, do things through his own hands.
Yet Seroy gets fuled and inspired by the Chairman despite and maybe because of the hatedred. He only and finally loses his pride, when he realizes how much he cares about Ji-so (her showing her love through helping Seroy achieve his goals is the best way to get to a lion primary) that he is willing to kneel for her. That the Chairman would go as low as to threaten her life is the last drop for him. Seroy loses all his respect for him for this and never turns back. Even when he finally gets the Chairman on his knees in turn does he care half as much as he thought.
Tumblr media
I'm not all that sure about the rest of the side-characters. The transgender cook is mainly a badger secondary through her hard work ways and fellow younger ex-gangster's loyalty and inspiration through Seroy makes me guess me think snake primary. Maybe they are all snake primaries really, cause they make big stands for each other, driven by dreams, ambitions, self-gain in a very natural, unapologetic way.
Tumblr media
Very curious case is Kun-so, who stars out so shy and beat down. Everyone kept convicing him that as illegitimate second son of the Chairman, he had no right to want anything for himself that he just seemed like such a kind, shy, polite boy. When he fell in love with Jin-So and realized he was losing her to Seroy who he admired, he quit and tried to take over the Chairman's company by being his son and turning to his image.
It didn't work out, and not because it didn't feel right. That is not a factor for him. It just didn't prove effective. Seroy wins the fight against his father, so he is obviously the one in the right. Kun-so is lost in how much he wanted, in the unstoppable greed of desiring things for himself. Did he explode as a snake? Somehow he still stays sympathetic and likeable through all his moral switches and betrayals.
Maybe it's because of his badger secondary. The kid just needs to set a goal and an idol and then he succeed through doing the hard work. Doing his best to do what's asked of him, whatever that may be. You want me caring? Okay. You want me heartless? Okay too. Huh. The switching around of morals and personalities depending on what he decides now makes me think he might be a Bird primary. He is the one who doesn't know what he wants and feels lost, except knowing he won't be like his father. He is the one who sets his goal on taking over the company once Jin-so says that will win her over. And he simply accepts Seroy's reasons and explanations for everything, simply adapting them into his code. When Seroy says he is a kid and can forgive himself, then it must be true and Kun-so accepts it as part of his new truth.
O-Soo's methods seem super sneaky. She spies and and she stabs in the back...but she doesn't enjoy it and she isn't sneaky about it. She doesn't hide it, she even apologies and warns before doing it again. Her whole 15 years old plan worked even better than Seroy's and she did it with less people, from the inside, despite how incredibly deplorable it made her feel. Doesn't that make her a good candidate for Bird secondary? She made her plan and went with it. Preparations through all her positions, through all the years, from the inside the lion's den. Meticulous and detailed, to bring down the Chairman. Great bird. Snake Bird also fits her villainous vibes until the last episode.
Seroy - Lion / Badger
O-Soo - Snake / Bird
Jin So - Snake / Snake
Chairman - exploded Lion / Snake
Kun-so - Bird / Badger

Ruby’s Fun-Filled Day on Knowing Bros
Tumblr media
Ruby, the rising K-pop star and SM Entertainment's latest solo sensation stepped into the iconic classroom of Knowing Bros. Dressed in a stylish black-and-red plaid blazer, a cropped white shirt, and a matching pleated skirt, she radiated confidence. Her long black hair cascaded over her shoulders as she greeted the cast with her signature warm smile.
The cast, as always, was quick to tease.
“Ruby-ya, is it true you’re SM’s princess now?” Lee Soo-geun joked, earning laughter from everyone.
Kang Ho-dong chimed in, “Not just SM’s princess, she’s SM’s secret weapon! You’ve been hanging out with Taemin, right? Did he teach you how to be this cool?”
At the mention of Taemin, Ruby’s cheeks flushed slightly, which didn’t escape the sharp-eyed cast.
Seo Jang-hoon leaned forward, grinning mischievously. “Ohhh, Taemin, huh? Is there something we should know?”
Ruby quickly waved her hands, laughing nervously. “Aniyo! We’re just friends. Taemin-sunbaenim is like a mentor to me!”
The cast erupted into mock disbelief.
“‘Sunbaenim’? That’s not what we saw on Running Man!” Heechul teased, referencing her viral moment with Taemin where she shyly called him “Oppa.”
Ruby covered her face in embarrassment, laughing. “Why does everyone keep bringing that up?”
Once the teasing subsided, the episode kicked off with Ruby’s introduction. She shared her journey from a shy trainee at YG Entertainment to her debut under SM Entertainment. She spoke about her band, her family, and how she grew close to all of SM artists.
The classroom of Knowing Bros was already in high spirits with Ruby as the guest. Just when the cast thought the episode couldn’t get any more exciting, the door opened, and in walked NCT’s Taeyong. The leader of NCT looked effortlessly stylish in a sleek leather jacket, ripped jeans, and his signature silver hair.
“Ohhhhh, Taeyong!” the cast erupted, clapping and cheering.
Taeyong bowed politely, flashing his shy but charismatic smile. “Annyeonghaseyo! I’m Taeyong from NCT. Ruby asked me to join her today, so here I am!”
“Ruby brought backup!” Kang Ho-dong joked, motioning toward Taeyong. “What’s this? Are you her bodyguard?”
Ruby laughed. “No, he’s here because he’s my best friend, and I thought it’d be fun if we came together!”
“Best friend?” Seo Jang-hoon raised an eyebrow, smirking. “So, Ruby, if he’s your best friend, does that mean he knows all your secrets?”
Ruby nodded confidently. “Absolutely. Taeyong knows everything about me.”
The whole cast of Knowing Bros nodded their heads understanding and then classroom fun continued, playing everyone's favorite game called “Guess About Me.”
“The game is simple,” Ruby explained, holding up a small whiteboard. “I’ll give you a hint about something, and you have to guess the answer. Ready?”
The cast nodded enthusiastically, ready for the challenge.
“Okay,” Ruby began, grinning mischievously. “There’s someone in this room, and every time they see me, they always ask me for something. What is it, and who is it?”
The cast exchanged confused looks before Kang Ho-dong confidently spoke up.
“Food! It’s Kim Young-chul, right? He probably asks you to bring him snacks!”
Ruby shook her head, giggling. “Nope, that’s not it!”
Seo Jang-hoon jumped in. “It has to be Min Kyung-hoon. He probably asks for singing tips because he’s jealous of your voice!”
“Wrong again!” Ruby laughed.
Kim Young-chul tried his luck. “It’s obviously Ho-dong! He probably asks you to teach him some choreography so he can show off on TV!”
Ruby playfully rolled her eyes. “No, that’s not it either! But nice try.”
The cast members scratched their heads, visibly stumped. Finally, Seo Jang-hoon, looking skeptical, raised his hand.
“Wait… is it Heechul? And he ask you for dating advice?"
"You are 50% correct. It is Heechul-hyung, but he asks me something else..." says Ruby.
"I do?" says Heechul and then smiles, "Oh, I think I know what it is, now."
"Hyung, don't say anything. Let them guess!" says Ruby. "Let me give you a hint it has to do with something with being in a relationship."
Kim Young-Chul raises his hand, "He asks you to be his girlfriend?"
Ruby picks up the rubber hammer taps on the table and says "Aniyo, but you're on the right path."
Lee Soo-geun then stands up from his chair and raises his hand, "He... asks you to marry him?"
The room fell silent for a moment as Ruby burst out laughing and clapped her hands. “YES! You got it right!”
The cast erupted in disbelief, howling with laughter. Heechul immediately threw his hands in the air in mock protest. “Ya! Why are you exposing me like this, Ruby?!”
Ruby could hardly contain her laughter as she explained. “Seriously, every single time I meet Heechul-hyung, he tells me, ‘Ruby, we’re going to end up getting married. We’re perfect for each other!’”
The cast members doubled over in laughter, pounding the desks.
Ho-dong was laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes. “Are you serious?! He says that every time?!”
“Yes!” Ruby nodded, grinning. “It’s like his opening line whenever we see each other.”
Heechul, blushing but trying to defend himself, stood up. “Hold on! You’re making it sound weird. I don’t mean now! I mean, like… When I’m 70 and she’s 52, and we’re both still single, it’s a backup plan! That’s all!”
The room erupted again, with Seo Jang-hoon teasing, “You’re already planning your retirement romance? Heechul, you’re unbelievable!”
Ruby laughed, covering her face. “He’s so persistent about it too! He always says, ‘Ruby, you’ll see. We’re perfect together.’”
Kim Young-Chul dramatically stood up, pretending to wipe away a tear. “Ah, a love story for the ages! Heechul and Ruby, destined to be together in their golden years.”
Before the laughter could settle, Kang Ho-dong leaned forward with a mischievous grin. “But Ruby, what about Taemin? Wouldn’t you prefer to marry him?”
The moment Taemin’s name was mentioned, the entire room froze for a second before erupting into chaos. Heechul immediately stood up, marched over to Ruby, and placed his hands firmly over her ears. “Nope! We’re not going there! She can’t hear that question!”
Ruby, now giggling uncontrollably under Heechul’s protective stance, tried to speak but could barely get a word out. The other cast members were in hysterics. Kang Ho-dong was rolling on the floor, Seo Jang-hoon was leaning back in his chair laughing, and even the staff behind the cameras couldn’t contain themselves.
“Look at Heechul! He’s acting like a jealous boyfriend already!” Seo Jang-hoon managed to say through his laughter.
Heechul, still covering Ruby’s ears, dramatically turned to the cast. “I’m just protecting her from bad influences, okay? Taemin doesn’t need to be brought into this conversation!”
Ruby, finally pulling Heechul’s hands away, playfully pushed him. “Hyung, you’re so dramatic! It’s just a question!”
“Exactly!” Heechul said, pretending to pout. “I’m just looking out for our future, Ruby-yah.”
This only made everyone laugh harder, with Kim Young-chul joking, “This is better than any drama! Ruby and Heechul: The Eternal Love Story.”
This makes everyone in the room laugh and then Ruby thanks everyone and goes to sit down next to Lee Soo-geun since he got her question correct.
When it finally came to Taeyong's turn, he asked his question and the member guessed it correctly and was about to go sit down next to Seo Jang-hoon. Heechul, who had been quietly sitting back, suddenly leaned forward, his mischievous grin appearing. “Before you go sit down, I have a question for Taeyong! As Ruby’s best friend, who do you think she should marry—me or Taemin?”
The room went wild with laughter, the cast members hitting the desks and hollering. Ruby covered her face, groaning. “Hyung! Why are you like this?!”
Taeyong blinked in shock at the sudden question, his mouth hanging open. “Wait… what?!”
“You heard me!” Heechul said, standing up and striking a confident pose. “If Ruby had to choose between me and Taemin, who do you think she should marry?”
The cast members were already laughing uncontrollably, but Kang Ho-dong added fuel to the fire. “Taeyong, you’re her best friend! Be honest! Who’s the better choice?”
Taeyong scratched the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable but also finding the situation hilarious. “Ahh, this is so awkward… Why do I have to answer this?!”
“Because you know her best!” Seo Jang-hoon insisted, grinning. “Think of it as being a good wingman. Help your best friend out!”
Ruby waved her hands frantically. “No! Don’t answer that! This is so embarrassing!”
But the cast wouldn’t let it go. “Taeyong, Taeyong, Taeyong!” they chanted, urging him to respond.
Finally, Taeyong sighed, looking between Heechul and Ruby. “Okay, okay, fine. If I have to choose…” He paused dramatically, letting the tension build.
“Heechul-hyung,” he began, smirking slightly, “I think you’re great. But Ruby… marrying you? I don’t see it happening.”
The room erupted into chaos, with everyone howling in laughter. Ruby clapped her hands, practically crying from laughing so hard.
“Yah! What’s wrong with me?!” Heechul protested, pretending to be offended.
Taeyong grinned mischievously. “I just think you’d annoy her too much. Ruby likes peace and quiet, and you’re… well… not quiet.”
Kang Ho-dong doubled over, slapping the desk. “Taeyong’s savage! I love it!”
“Then who should she marry, huh?” Heechul challenged, crossing his arms.
Taeyong hesitated, then leaned forward, his expression serious. “If I had to pick… I’d say Taemin-sunbaenim.”
The room exploded once again, with Ruby shouting, “Taeyong!” in mock outrage while Heechul dramatically collapsed onto the floor.
“Why Taemin?!” Heechul demanded, getting up and pointing accusingly at Taeyong.
“Because,” Taeyong said, laughing, “He’s calm, cool, and collected. Ruby and Taemin-sunbaenim are both hardworking and talented. They’d balance each other out.”
Ruby shook her head, her face bright red. “Taeyong, you’re the worst! I’m never bringing you to a show again!”
Kang Ho-dong wiped tears from his eyes. “Taeyong, you’re a good best friend. You gave the honest answer!”
Heechul, clearly not giving up, stood and walked over to Ruby. “Ruby-yah, listen to me. You don’t need Taemin. You need someone who can make you laugh, someone who’ll never let you be bored!”
Ruby raised an eyebrow, trying not to laugh. “You mean… Someone like you?”
“Exactly!” Heechul declared confidently.
But before she could respond, Kang Ho-dong chimed in again, grinning. “Ruby, if Taemin asked you to marry him, what would you say?”
The entire room went silent as everyone leaned in, waiting for Ruby’s answer.
Ruby opened her mouth to respond, but before she could say a word, Heechul jumped up and ran behind her, covering her mouth with his hand. “Nope! She’s not answering that! This question is banned!”
The cast and staff burst into uncontrollable laughter, with Seo Jang-hoon falling out of his chair and even the cameramen laughing audibly in the background.
“Heechul’s so jealous, it’s like we’re in a K-drama!” Kim Young-Chul joked, pretending to narrate dramatically. “The best friend, the cool senior, and the comedic rival—who will Ruby choose?!”
Ruby pulled Heechul’s hands away from her mouth and laughed so hard she could barely breathe. “Hyung, you’re so ridiculous! This is why no one takes you seriously!”
“And yet,” Heechul said, smirking, “You’ll still marry me when I’m 70!”
Taeyong rolled his eyes playfully. “If she’s not too busy touring the world with Taemin, that is.”
The room dissolved into chaos once more, with Ruby pretending to walk off set while Heechul chased after her, dramatically pleading his case. It was an unforgettable segment that left everyone—cast, crew, and fans alike—in stitches.
As the episode wrapped up, Ruby and Taeyong shared heartfelt thanks. “We had so much fun today. You all made us feel so welcome, and we hope we can come back again soon!”
“Come back anytime,” Ho-dong said. “But next time, bring Taemin!”
Ruby groaned playfully, “You’re never going to let me live that down, are you?”
The cast laughed as they bid her goodbye, and Ruby and Taeyong left the classroom, leaving behind an episode that fans would talk about for weeks.

Relationship Revealed
A/N: Saranghaeyo Kim Heechul, Uyubitkkal Kim Heechul !!! (I love you Kim Heechul, Milky White skin Kim Heechul!!)
A/N 2: Y/G/N : Your Group Name
Part 5:
Kim Heechul (Super Junior)
Tumblr media
Ok, Kim Heechul, there are a few ways I can go about this. It could be revealed on Knowing Bros or on My Little Old Boy. So lets go both ways.
1. Knowing Bros:
For a special episode Knowing Bros went live on Television and YouTube and all of them were pulling each others leg.
"I mean Why are Jang-hoon and Sangmin giving relationship advice?" Kyunghoon says "Yah!" Jang-hoon replies. "You asked!" Young-chul replies laughing.
"If you don't from them I can give you" Hodong says "No, thank you" Kyunghoon replies immediately and everyone laughs.
"Heechul you tell why should he should as soon as he can reply to his imaginary girlfriend." Soo-Geun says "Why me?" Heechul replies.
"Yah! are you not in a relationship?" Jin-ho says and "I'm not" Heechul replies hinting a bit at the cameras.
"I think it's time to call the transfer students." Janghoon says and the door opens to reveal a 3rd gen girl group which was on hiatus for some time for their come back.
As the group's leader you start the greeting after a bit of conversation games started they played the game where Shindong sings a song in a different songs tune and You knew the melody's song name but for the love of god you or your partner Sangmin figure out the lyrics but suddenly a buzzer was pressed and Heechul answered the lyrics song but his partner said the wrong name.
You instantly pressed the buzzer and Sangmin repeated Heechul's answer "Ten Minutes- Lee Hyori and Call Me Baby - EXO" you and Sangmin said and as you guys were dancing to Call Me Baby you went over to Heechul and lip synced the lyrics.
"Jagi~" He chuckled and you went back to dancing with Sangmin and ofc as it was live not one E.L.F or your fandom let go of the cute interaction.
2. My Little Old Boy :
Heechul was in his home playing a game on his computer with Kibokk when the bell rang.
He got up and went to open the door.
"Hi!!" You cheered "Hey" Heechul laughed "What is all this?" He asked mentioning all the bags in your hand.
"I saw your fridge on the yesterday's show and to be honest, I'm disappointed Kim Heechul, you're 40 years old how is your fridge only water? So I made food for a week." You said as you walked over to the kitchen and starting setting his kitchen.
"Who is she?" Dongyeop asked Heechul's mother
"She used to be his makeup artist on Street Alcohol Fighter but they became good friends." His mom said and they nodded
"You didn't have to do all this?" Heechul said
"Shut up, grandpa" You said teasing him
"Yah, I'm still prettier than you" He said "Hmm... I know, I'm so lucky to have such a pretty boyfriend" You replied sarcastically.
"You should be jagiya, you should be"
"She's his girlfriend!?" Heechul's mom said shocked as all focused back to the screen and saw Heechul looking at a camera.
"I told you, didn't I mom, I'm dating a girl I know you'd like." Heechul said

Leila's Cravings
Korean Dramas
In no particular order, I have chosen all the Korean dramas that I’ve enjoyed, uberly obsessed of, loved and learned a lot from. I’ve been watching Korean dramas since 2004. It all started when Lovers in Paris was shown in our local television. I only relied on what was shown in our country since then. 2009 came and gave Boys Over Flowers that really changed my viewing habits.
2010 was a very special year for me because I became a K-drama addict. I certified myself. LOL. I just took advantage of our 24/7 internet server. I’m even sleep-deprived now since my time in front of my laptop occupies most of my waking moments when I’m at home. Heh.
So let me give a rundown of Korean dramas I’ve enjoyed all through the years starting from 2004,  that I would gladly recommend to anyone.
LOVERS IN PARIS. “I’m not a Cinderella. I’m just a woman in love with a man.” This is a line from Kang Tae-young that’s vivid in my mind up to now. Her character is adorable and the love between her and Ki-joo is simply beautiful. Park Shin Yang’s performance is one of the best I’ve seen from a male actor. I was completely touched during his break up scene and the part where he played the piano is simply captivating. FYI, Lee Dong-geun is the primary reason why I love second lead guys more than the male lead.
SAVE THE LAST DANCE. Eugene and Ji Sung is such a perfect match! The kind you’d root for no matter what. I love it when the story started moving to Seoul. It is where the growth of their characters and love story begun. When Ji Sung started to live his own life again as Hyun Woo, not knowing Eun Soo, they started from scratch again. Since the heart can tell, they still fell for each other. Ji Sung is so adorable! The OST of this series is love!
MY GIRL. The two LEE!Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae is one of the cutest pair the HONG Sister’s created. Lee Da Hae’s portrayal of Yoo Rin is so lovable and Dong Wook was a dashing debonair! The “lie” theme of their pairing was an added charm in their relationship. Just pure cuteness on screen!
GOONG (PRINCESS HOURS). A stellar performance from Yoon Eun Hye as she became a Princess. She successfully made Chae Kyeong come to life. Eun Hye’s chemistry with Joo Ji Hoon is off the charts, IMO. The settings, the overall feel of a modern day Royal set up was beautiful. A must watch series!
COFFEE PRINCE. Another series from Yoon Eun Hye. From a lady in Goong, she transformed herself as a boyish barista. She plays Go Eun Chan, a bread winner who had no choice but to work in a shop where only men are allowed. I enjoyed her with Gong Yoo. Their scenes are just the sweetest. Eun Hye is adorable and passable as a guy! But honestly, it was really Mr. Voice, Lee Seun Kyun who really captured my heart in this series.
BOYS OVER FLOWERS (BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS). The drama that changed my Korean dramaworld and catapulted Lee Min Ho to super stardom!! Not only did this show spread K-drama virus around Asia, it made every cast known worldwide. Who would forget this? Four HOT guys in one screen. Enough said. Lee Min Ho and Goo Hye Sun are enough reason for me to repeat this to the nth time. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this series already. I think there’s no explanation why I loved it, it’s illogical. LOL.
YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL. Jang Geun Suk’s adorable face and wonderful singing voice was shown multiple times. Sold. Geun Suk’s pairing with Park Shin Hye is simply sweet and fluffy! Shin Hye became his twin brother and joined AN.JELL. The story focused on the life of a band in showbusiness and how pig-rabbit melted Tae Kyung’s heart. The love triangle is cute. Shin Woo’s character reminded me so much of Ji Hoo (Boys Over Flowers) since it is obvious that he won’t get the girl. And yet he’s always been there for her. Typical story but fun and with heart.
PASTA. The story is simple and the plot has no-frills at all. But here are the reasons why I still love this:
a. Dearest Chep (Lee Seun Kyun) is endearing.
b. The on screen pairing is cute and charming.
c. Noh Min Woo is delightful.
Enough for me.
PERSONAL TASTE. Lee Min Ho. Need I say more?
Kidding aside, what I really enjoyed about this series is Gae In’s weather forecast that’s like her personal diary. I can always forego flaws especially when dearest Min Ho is concerned. The issue of the Sang Go Jae can happily go down the drain. I enjoyed most parts rather than the whole. Watch it since Lee Min Ho is the hottest architect in the face of K-dramaland. His chemistry with Sohn Ye Jin can make you wish to have a roommate like Jin Ho.
COFFEE HOUSE. Perfect 10! Highly recommended.
It IS Kang Ji Hwan and Park Si Yeon’s sizzling chemistry exploding! They are by far the best couple who had the most passionate kiss I’ve ever seen. The story itself may drive you nuts, or I mean Lee Jin Soo. But at the end of the day, you can really learn something fruitful from this. Great laughs mixed with powerful emotions. Simply a brilliant display of talent and a different level of K-drama experience.
MY GIRLFRIEND IS A GUMIHO. If you want to spend one of the best 16 hours of your life, watch this! Lee Seung Gi is lovable and he’s paired with the gorgeous Shin Mina, no more to ask for. The Gumiho myth is mixed with reality making this series a story with heart. Most people I know loves the Hoi couple to bits. I can’t blame them! Not only did this couple show the cutest and sweetest things ever but they had managed to show that the best kind of love is living with that person and enjoying every given moment to the fullest.
SHINING INHERITANCE (BRILLIANT LEGACY). From the start this captured me since I find it very poignant. I’m very weak when it comes to family stories so when Eun Sung arrived having such love for his father, I’m owned! Han Hyo Joo’s character made me stick to watch this 28 episode K-drama. I love grandma’s story of success that made me hate Hwan for few episodes. Though, I truly enjoyed the spoiled brat that is Lee Seung Gi (Hwan), especially those scene while he was working under Eun Sung. I was completely on a laughing spree though I shouldn’t have felt that way. Bad me. I guess, the premise of the show is to teach Hwan what to VALUE. That money is hard earned even when he has plenty; that life is still better even with less of it; that we can enjoy the simplest things and be truly HAPPY; that we can have true value that even money can’t buy; that a person’s character is more important than anything.
This show made me fall for Lee Seung Gi even more. He’s a genuine actor that can make a simple scene uber sweet with him in it. He has this ability to make audience have this “blind spot” when it comes to him.  That in itself is very unique. He has his own pull that can draw you in.  Or maybe I’m just so easy to get! LOL.
SUNGKYUNKWAN SCANDAL. I am crazy for crazy horse Yoo Ah In, forever. It is a sageuk drama, yes a historical set up. It may appear boring, but it isn’t! Moon Jae Shin is on fire every time he appears! The story has a beautiful premise, with wonderful cinematography to boot. The Jalgeum Quartet is love. And KBS even awarded the best couple in this series. It’s NOT Yoo Chun and Park Min Young.
DREAM HIGH. I love that this drama showed we can stand up each time we fall and that mistakes are made to teach us to become a better person. It’s a recurring theme for everyone in DH not only the students but the Professor’s as well. Everyone made a wrong decision or had said something wrong that influenced others like what happened to Kyung Jin and Baek Hee. I love that everyone learned from their mistakes and stood up. Fallen and bruised as most characters had been but they still managed to reach out for a brighter tomorrow.
Dream High is not just about aspiring to be an artist/singer or about reaching for their dreams. It’s about becoming a better version of one’s SELF. Such a great drama find in 2011! And memorable too since Sam Dong (Kim Soo Hyun) and Hye Mi (Bae Suzy) made it special ♥ SamMi FTW!
49 DAYS. Hands down for actress Lee Yo Won as she portrays two roles brilliantly and had chemistry with two actors as well! I really enjoyed the lessons learned here, not trying to sugar coat this series but it was well written and I’m content with the open ending. It must be because I’m a true blue Ji Kyung and Han Kang shipper! Jo Hyun Jae is back from his military service and it’s good to see him again with such manly aura. And Jung Il Woo is simply extraordinary as he plays the Scheduler. I was  a content camper watching this because Kang-ah is LOVE!
BEST LOVE (GREATEST LOVE). I have a soft spot for Gong Hyo Jin and eversince Pasta I find her adorable. Her simplicity makes her unlike any other actress and uses it to connect herself to her character making it relatable. Her chemistry with Cha Seung Won isn’t to be questioned because they have it. But among all the Hong Sisters drama I’ve watched they managed to make me fall deeply in love with its second lead more than the OTP. I have to blame my undying love for Pil Joo because it’s my main reason for watching this. Yoon Kye Sang is the epitome of a perfect guy. And he’s memorable in my K-drama book.
CITY HUNTER. Another hit drama for Lee Min Ho. He’s now paired with the adorable Park Min Young. It’s an action packed drama with heart. Yes, they were able to combine violence with humane bonds that is present on each relationship and pairing. Father and Son is not just present in genes but more because of love. Yoon Sung and Jin Pyo may live in a cruel world but they had managed to fight for their own beliefs. I shed a tear or two in this series and it managed to capture me during times when the story simply tackles on love, family and friendship. It has subtle moments amid the chaotic theme that truly captured me. Lee Min Ho is brilliant as he has never been before. His Royal Hotness made spoon and bottled water the best weapon. He managed to break my heart and revive it all over again with his action scenes! Lee Min Ho is proving to be the most versatile actor of his generation.
HEARTSTRINGS (YOU’VE FALLEN FOR ME). Silence and music are beautifully woven in scenes that can make you feel nostalgic. Here you can experience how scenes are much better without words. Just a smile, just a stare,  just that sound of raindrops can bring you the feeling of comfort and the magic of love.
If you are into stories of youth, watch this. It is a melodrama but you can still simply sit back, relax and feel the love more than words can say. BTW, Jung Yong Hwa is a sweetheart. He surely made me crazy in love with him. Though Lee Shin can be a pabo (fool) sometime, he really makes up for it since his love for Kyu Won is the sweetest thing to have in K-dramaland. The immense chemistry of the Dooley Couple successfully brought to life how good a feeling is having to love for the first time. Also, the OST is love! The songs are awesome! Even the mix of modern and traditional instrument is pleasant. Hear it for yourself.
FLOWER BOY RAMYUN SHOP. This drama is hotter than the ramyun they’ve cooked and served. And I’m not just talking about Lee Ki Woo here, I love him as Kang Hyuk. To be called wifey by him is such a delight! But that aside, Jung Il Woo is lovable too though he’s eccentric and childlike here, Chi Soo was the one who captured Eun Bi’s (Lee Chung Ah) heart nonetheless. This was really a fun watch! The Ramyun boys are a treat and their bonding made this drama worthwhile to finish. You’ll leave satisfied to your hearts content.
THE MOON THAT EMBRACES THE SUN. I love me some Kim Soo Hyun and he’s back being the King of this epic series. To be honest, I really loved the first part more when Prince Hwon (Yeo Jin Goo) fell in love with Yeon Woo (Kim Yoo Jung). I enjoyed the exchange of wit and letters from both. How I wish that they’d stayed kids forever like that. Then again, we have to see Soo Hyun’s acting prowess and be swept again by his charm. Together with the beautiful Han Ga In, both fought fate and made their love stand against all odds. Jung Il Woo as Prince Yang Myung made his presence felt in this series too, loving Yeon Woo all his life. You’d definitely be mesmerized by the scenery and gorgeous set up from the Joseon Era and cry along with Prince Yang Myung. Watch it, Soo Hyun made it bearable, for me atleast.
THE KING 2 HEARTS. Lee Seung Gi is a grown man here, though not leaving behind his quirky attitude that we all love! I’ve never seen him act the way he did in this series. I’m in awe of him more. Ha Ji won is kick ass and made the North Korean accent so sweet to hear. Together they form one Korea, one heart. It is action packed since Ji Won is here, you would not miss her amazing skills even kicking his Royal Highness to the curb. Interesting plot but I think you’d enjoy Ha Ji Won’s aegyo and dance moves more than anything.
SHUT UP! FLOWER BOY BAND. This is such a warm and very comforting watch. I ended this drama having a huge smile on my face that I think will linger on and on. Sung Joon is phenomenal and he became uber handsome to me. I fell for him along the way. The OTP is just so cute for words and I enjoyed every moment, wishing for more! But those two aside, this drama feels like home. You know, that love, that protection and that security, and comfort we feel when we go to a place we can be ourselves? This drama feels more than just a drama. I truly understand why others fell in love with this. It is worth your time and even your tears! It simply hits the right spot, every-single-time. No matter who the character is, you will be drawn and swept away by the emotion they feel. It was so powerful and so moving.
They say that most lessons are learned the hard way. Shut Up Flower Boy Band emanates that thought. The trials are meant for good at the end of the day. Sometimes the pain can really be piercing, as shown by the characters and yet they all became a better man after. They succeeded alone but having that heart of togetherness still. The bond that the Eye Candy formed is tough and you can feel that resonate in their music and whenever they perform together. It feels so euphoric! I would not mind repeating this to the nth time just to feel them again and again and again.
QUEEN IN HYUN’S MAN. The best fusion sageuk I’ve seen yet (as of 2012) I love that everything blends well with the story and we are not just wishing to be back in the modern world all the time. I enjoy seeing Ji Hyun Woo in the Joseon Era as well. It’s my first time ever watching him and I’m surprised that he’s a good actor. His pairing with Yoo In Na is sizzling. Sparks flew everywhere even if they are just staring at each other and far apart. One of the best chemistry on screen, and felt natural at that. I’m always taken aback with historical set up. But this drama just made me cling to it until the end. The writer is amazing! What a wonderful masterpiece yet again from the writer of Coffee House. Hands down, a drama that makes you believe that love works in mysterious and marvelous ways. Epic and oh so beautiful! Another MUST WATCH!
BIG. Yup another Hong Sister’s drama. If you are a fan of the sisters, try this and you’ll fall in love with Kyung Joon in Yoon Jae’s body. Or to make it simple, you will fall in love with Gong Yoo,100%. Little Kyung Joon is asleep all throughout the series, though I wish he literally woke up in the end and grabbed that umbrella. *sigh* This drama begs us to leave most things to our imagination. So don’t expect much. Gong Yoo’s lovable on screen pairing was made to life by Lee Min Jung. Gil Teacher found her ground and found her true love too. I’m happy she was able to distinguish who her heart truly beats for. This drama is not among my fave from the Hong’s but still enjoyable. Go with what is presented and you’d just be fine.
ARANG AND THE MAGISTRATE. This drama gave me the creeps — both in a good and a bad way. Overall, I still love the feel, the ambiance, the scenery. It brought a different level of experience that I enjoyed. Arang is such a fierce character! She learned how to value her own life and gained the will to take a risk and fight for it. With a hero like the magistrate (Lee Jun Ki), where can this love story go? No limits.
ANSWER ME 1997 (REPLY 1997). Have you ever experienced falling in love with your friend? Are you like Yoon Jae? Or more like Shi Won?
This series directly hits the heart, even in the simplest of ways. Nostalgic, pure, heart wrenching and uber fun. Saying this is an understatement. You will love to reminisce about the life in the 90′s. If you were in Grade School or High School at that time, you’d laugh just like me because I guess it’s one, or if not, the best time in my life. The story was made even more special because of Seo In Guk and Jung Eun Ji. I don’t care if they were KPOP Idols, they rocked this series BIG TIME. They made the friends-in-love theme so enticing. You’d want to grab hold of a Yoon Jae in your life. I suggest you watch this with your friends and your family too! To miss this will be a regret in your K-drama life.
FLOWER BOY NEXT DOOR.Go Dok Mi (Park Shin Hye) isn’t your typical bubbly K-drama heroine. She decided to lock herself in her own apartment, living in her own world. Though comfortable as it may seem to her, the outside world is where she really wants to be. Good thing Enrique Geum (Yoon Shi Yoon) opened the door to help her breathe in life and experience what it truly means to live.
The drama made me love Enrique’s youthful exuberance and his quirky personality. But it was really Jin Rak (Kim Ji Hoon) that I personally fell in love with. Mr Post-it man stole my heart and run away with it. Having said that, this drama has its moments of glory and failed in some. The world of Dok Mi is a familiar ground that this drama illustrated beautifully, just by listening to her inner thoughts added a unique touch making her more relatable. Another winning drama from tVN.
THE MASTER’S SUN. This is another drama that is close to my heart. Its the first I’ve watched So Ji Sub in a full series. He captivated my heart playing Joo Joong Won, the cold-hearted Master that melted under the warmth of a sun, Tae Gong Shil (Gong Hyo Jin).
To find that one person who can take away your fears and who can make you feel alive again is truly special. Joong Won and Gong Shil is like a magnet that automatically joins together. When you force to separate them, the pull they have within is far stronger than any I had felt. Their love story is just like how their first hug scene transpired. It was unexpected. Gong Shil just came in his life, rushing in scared and needed comfort badly. But as it goes along, it turns out that Joong Won is the one needing help after all. His dark world finally found the light its been longing to have.
The immense chemistry off-screen resonated on-screen. It is a delight to see, feel, and hear. Skinship is scattered around, and the OTP’s touch scenes made a different kind of sensation that only the SoGong couple have. This drama will make you realize that waiting for that one special love, is worth it. Falling in love in a series will never be the same again after watching this. To date (2013), the best Hong Sister’s drama for me.
ANSWER ME 1994 (REPLY 1994). This can’t be compared to its predecessor. Though they do have the same feel, nostalgia and amazing attention to detail, this show broke the second season flop big time.
My love for this drama truly owes it to each character who is part of the Sinchon Boarding House. It’s amazing to feel the family bonding and the friendship that was built under one roof. They are blessed to have a home where everyone shared the heartiest meals and have the best support group. The story is more than just the romance that was built within its frame, but moreso it displayed the kind of universal love that truly warms the heart.
It’s my first to watch Jung Woo, the Oppa whose love for Na Jung can’t be quantified, its felt. Though I was captured by his Oppa role at first, it was really Chil Bong (Yoo Yeon Seok) who took my heart and I wasn’t able to have it back. The pendulum swing wasn’t felt by Na Jung (Go Ara) herself but the fan wars surely did. I was literally brokenhearted having to experience the unrequited love the way Chil Bong did. But having to experience his love for Na Jung is worth the tears still.
Watch this with an open heart. Because the love that both Oppa and Chil Bong gave to Na Jung is better seen that way. Highly recommended. If I have to go through Chil Bong’s heartache, I will still repeat this and savor what it means to love with all of you and even learn to let it go.
EMERGENCY COUPLE. Choi Jin Hyuk!! There is nothing more left to say.
I really enjoyed watching this series because of Song Ji Hyo and Choi Jin Hyuk’s awesome chemistry. The teasers were wonderfully made, its enticing enough not to miss the series. It did feel like much could have been done, especially in Jin Hee’s arc. But that aside, I still had an amazing time recapping and watching this series.
Jin Hee grew from a naive character to a woman who can stand on her own. She was so dependent when she married Chang Min that she felt low not having a life of her own. It is a consequence of not being complete first before entering a serious relationship. The separation was pivotal, it made both character realise that love will always be present no matter what. You just have to open yourself even when you know it will hurt. Watch it, and enjoy the antics! You will definitely love Choi Jin Hyuk, even if you already do.
ANGEL EYES. The best drama of Ku Hye Sun to date (2014). Hands down, what an amazing performance that she has Lee Sang Yoon to thank for. It is a first for me to watch Sang Yoon and I fell in love with him! I guess, the chemistry was so palpable and heartfelt, it was easy for me to watch this and not be reminded it is a melodrama. It felt like a cried an ocean but it cleansed my soul. The feeling was that good!
Yoon Soo Wan and Park Dong Joo defined a love that even if its tormenting, they choose each other still. It is a story of finding oneself and loving wholeheartedly no matter how painful it is. This series is among the most precious I have ever watched. It brought an amazing experience that I wouldn’t mind watching again. Every character is loveable and warm.
We don’t like the pace of walking. It seem that the world today is so fast, speed matters. But watching this series I learned the value of taking things slow especially with love. Waiting can be taxing and tedious. Who has the patience to wait? Dong Joo and Soo Wan have and both enjoyed the fruit of waiting for each other. The essence of “togetherness” is really evident seeing how both endured the trials that came their way that when they separated, we all felt their pain. It was so piercing, you want them to be together again.
This is one of the most beautifully written love story. You wouldn’t mind falling in love and experiencing it. Highly recommended.
MARRIAGE NOT DATING. I can’t believe I almost let this drama slip away! I wasn’t reeled in to watch this since I kinda predicted how it’s going to be and the premise wasn’t as enticing. How amazing it is to be proven wrong?!
This drama is feel good and so easy to digest. I really enjoyed how the drama focused on family and relationships. The most important thing why this became a drama craving was the “communication”. We heard it been said a million times over that communication is vital and I love how the drama gave emphasis on that. Jang Mi (Han Groo) and Ki tae (Yeon Woo Jin) are a perfect example to show what great communication can do in a relationship. They were successful in making it feel organic and relatable. Their conversations were meaningful and delightful, even the arguments. They are so adorable! For them there is no eternal love, only a love they both want to last. Awww.
The transition of Jang Mi and Ki Tae’s fake relationship to a real one worked well, turning a bad relationship to the best one could possibly have. Knowing the foibles, worst habits and dark past of the person you are in a relationship with and loving them despite of that is a true testament of what true love is. You can not just have good qualities, nobody is perfect. Accepting the imperfection is an important part of a relationship. I’m happy to have learned it better through this drama.
Watch this and feel the spark of a love with no pretence.
THE TIME WE WERE NOT IN LOVE. How can you notice if someone is looking at you when you are looking somewhere else? One will surely miss a lot. Good thing Choi Won (Lee Jin Wook) didn’t spent his whole life just being the best friend for Oh Ha Na (Ha Ji Won) and stepped up to be more!
Best friends to lovers plot is one of the best storyline but the hardest to execute. This show did just okay, though I hoped for the best. Well, this show didn’t lack fan service, so don’t be dismayed and give this show a try too. The chemistry is exploding on screen. The 1+1 couple brightened each scenario, whether they are bickering or simply sharing aegyo to each other. Nobody can replace the memories they have built in time. Their memory bank is full of great milestone to choose from.
I fell in love with Choi Won. At first I was so frustrated and mad at him. I thought that with his persona, finally a man was strong enough to fight to protect the woman he loves from getting hurt again. Choi Won was the right man to stop Cha Seo Hoo (Yoon Kyung Sang), though the only advantage he has is that of a friend. But then, he took a step back because Choi Won isn’t the kind of man to stop Ha Na’s heart from beating even if it was for somebody else. Choi Won chose to understand and support Ha Na’s decision. This is Choi Won’s love language. Ha Na’s happiness is more important than his own.
Everything ends well in dramaland! Watch this and enjoy the 1+1 couple fight, kiss and make-up endlessly.
OH MY GHOST. Do you want to know what love is? This drama definitely showed it. I highly recommend it to anyone who just loves the feeling of falling in love and staying in love.
Take the journey with Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) as she discovers what it is to love and be loved by Chef Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Seok). Their chemistry is perfect and electrifyingly good!! You would enjoy every second of them on screen. Whether or not Na Bong Sun is possessed by Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gi), the joint forces of their chemistry is overwhelmingly amazing to experience. This is the kind of drama that can be enjoyed from start to finish. Don’t miss it.
MISAENG / INCOMPLETE LIFE – Work politics can never be portrayed better than what this series presented. I’ve watched Im Si Wan ever since he appeared in The Moon that Embraces the Sun and his cute cameo in Reply 1997. This time, he showed a different side of him more than just his pretty face. Though I was hoping a love line with Kang So Ra, I think they are still enjoyable as officemates with Kang Ha Neul.
The cast is completed with the addition of Lee Sung Min who made me a certified fan through this drama. He simply brought so much heart as a mentor. I believe we need more people like him in this world. Someone whose tenacity and fervent persona drives anyone with him to become better. He is surely stubborn, yet his hard work is incomparable. Watch this and learn why work is work and why passion can drive you towards a better destination.
HEALER – Just three words. Ji Chang Wook.
Some of you may have more adjectives to describe how awesome this is. But for me, it was really discovering an amazing talent in Ji Chang Wook, I’m swept away by his character. He’s a chameleon who can switch from dorky, to manly to clumsy to stubborn to the sweetest thing a K-drama hero could ever be. His chemistry with Park Min Young captured my heart. It was a treat seeing them fall in love. This is a highly recommended drama to watch. If you like action, suspense and romance, this is a treat you don’t want to miss.
TWENTY AGAIN – Lee Sang Yoon is back as Professor Cha Hyun Seok. You will definitely fall more in love with him, there is no escaping his charms! He teams up with Choi Ji Woo again, truly it is better the second time around. This series is a timeless piece that can be enjoyed no matter what age you are! There is always a special spot in my heart when the past era is smoothly blended in the present.
Add to that, Sang Yoon is swoon worthy! Even if Hyun Seok is grumpy most of the time, his love for No Ra is timeless. This is worth watching anytime.
ANSWER ME (REPLY) 1988 – I will shamelessly admit, this is my favourite Reply series to date (2016). Even if this is already the third, PD Shin Won Ho did not fail to surprise me. Despite of the heartache, this series is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Every detail, every character, every possibility is once again explored. The trademark of the Reply franchise is unparalleled, every series is uniquely made. All thanks to Ryu Joon Yeol coz he made this series beyond special for me. He successfully brought to life an unforgettable character – Kim Jung Hwan. This is not to say that Taek (Park Bo Gum) did anything less to love Sung Deok Sun (Hye Ri). However, I was hopelessly devoted to Jung Hwan. He was the only one in my heart.
Though this series was never about the husband hunt for me, the heartache I’ve felt wasn’t anything less than what I expected. Prepare your heart once you decide to watch this. You have been warned.
CHEESE IN THE TRAP – Discovering new actors who are not afraid to do something different made this series endearing. The premise brought from the webtoon, added interesting character that has depth I was interested to explore.
Park Hae Jin did a tremendous job as Yoo Jung. There are only few actors who can be both lovable and despicable all at the same time, Hae Jin is one of them. He had an amazing chemistry with Kim Go Eun. Seol and Yoo Jung were tailored to fit. Despite of the drama frenzy off-screen, Seo Kang Joon did a great job as Baek In Ho! SLS is evident, but this time I realised that this syndrome can be less painful too especially when done right.
Keep an open heart and watch something different. Judge it for yourself.
OH HAE YOUNG AGAIN (ANOTHER MISS OH) – As of 2016, this deserves the TOP ONE in my K-drama list of all time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
As they say, you have to be complete before you love someone. That said, I never thought that love can be found when the heart is completely shattered into pieces. How can the heart mend and be whole again? Park Do Kyung (Eric Mun) and Oh Hae Young (Seo Hyun Jin) proved that real love can exist even in the worse possible state. It all begun with a leap of faith! All it took was for Do Kyung to open his arms and catch Hae Young. From then, he struggled hard not to let her go ever again.
It is the first time that I have watched Eric of Shinhwa and Seo Hyun Jin in a drama series. It was such a delight to experience how amazing love is seeing both of them performing at their best. The chemistry is so intense, I believe it is REAL. Shipper heart aside, to date RicHyun is definitely a K-drama couple to beat! From every touch, every kiss, and every hug they shared, there is an incredibly sweet intimacy no other OTP can possibly have! They are beyond astonishing together! I can only think of happy thoughts whenever I see them both.
Love is defined with no specificity. Each character here has shown love in various of ways. You will discover the amazing talents from the veteran actors, Ye Ji Won in particular. You would want to party all night with her.
Be ready to be mesmerised! Once you watch this, it will be hard to resist repeating it all over again.
LET’S EAT SEASON 2 – Nothing can beat the yearning of delicious food — make that KOREAN FOOD!
This K-drama is plot-free and just entices you with what matters most in life, food. I watched this for the love of Seo Hyun Jin and I happily sat and observed her in awe. She can do ANYTHING! Plus, her chemistry with Yoon Doo Joon made watching the sweetest thing to do. I truly enjoyed their banters. No  matter how opposite their views are, they can sit down and enjoy each others company. They made eating alone a sin, because a meal is better enjoyed with others.
Watch this! Word of warning: Eat first before you watch. Or else, you’ll crave badly and say “goodbye diet.”

'Real' - Time to Meet the Real Kim Soo-hyun
[Magazine M] The word "failure" has never existed in Kim Soo-hyun's (29) dictionary. Since his debut, he has consistently soared. Starting as a promising child actor, he leaped to stardom with Moon Embracing the Sun (2012, MBC) and then expanded his fame beyond Asia with My Love from the Star (2013–2014, SBS). His films The Thieves (2012, directed by Choi Dong-hoon) and Secretly, Greatly (2013, directed by Jang Cheol-soo) together attracted 20 million viewers. He wasn’t called “Kim Soo-hyun from the stars” for nothing.
For a star, maintaining an air of mystery is a given, and this mystery is inversely proportional to familiarity. The more his popularity soared, the greater the fantasy surrounding Kim Soo-hyun grew. That is why many were surprised when he appeared on Infinite Challenge (MBC) recently, showing his goofy and clumsy side. It was a sudden realization—Kim Soo-hyun is just an ordinary young man like us. He’s not a star from another world but a person standing on solid ground. Whether by coincidence or fate, it’s intriguing that after two years, he returned with a film titled Real (released on June 28, directed by Lee Sa-rang), which literally means "real" in English. Like many films with the doppelgänger concept, Real raises the question: “Who is the real one?” or even, “Am I real?”
Jang Tae-young (played by Kim Soo-hyun) is the ambitious boss of an organization preparing to open a casino. However, Jo Won-geun (played by Sung Dong-il), a powerful figure in the underworld, suddenly appears and claims ownership of the casino. Just as Jang Tae-young faces the risk of losing everything, a mysterious investor appears—another Jang Tae-young (also played by Kim Soo-hyun), who not only shares the same name but even starts to look identical to him. Playing both roles, Kim Soo-hyun unravels the secrets and conspiracies surrounding the two characters. Who is the real Jang Tae-young? And ultimately, who is the real Kim Soo-hyun?
When we met Kim Soo-hyun on June 20 for a cover shoot, our interview naturally converged on these very questions.
"It felt like torture... but I didn’t want anyone else to take the role."
It has been four years since your last film, Secretly, Greatly. Are you more excited or nervous?
"Real" felt overwhelmingly burdensome from the moment I first read the script. Now that it's also time for me to enlist in the military, this movie feels incredibly significant to me. I’m really nervous.
During a recent pre-release event, other actors mentioned that the script wasn’t easy to understand. What was your reaction when you first read it?
Out of 111 shooting days, I appeared in 101 of them. When I read the script, I thought, ‘Wow, how am I supposed to do this? This is crazy.’ It took me more than three hours just to read it the first time. And after finishing, I couldn’t stop thinking about it—I kept imagining the scenes in my head, like a picture forming in my mind. It felt like torture.
Torture?
Yes, it was agonizing. But strangely enough, at some point, I realized I didn’t want anyone else to take this role. I wanted to do it. To be honest, I regretted it many times. It felt like I was going to die from the pressure—both during preparation and throughout filming.
What made it so difficult?
I think it was the power of the script. Normally, when something doesn’t quite work in a performance, you can let it go and move on. But this movie didn’t allow for that. There was no part that I could just skim over. It was my first time playing a dual role, and I wanted to express the characters in depth, but every time I tried to go deeper, I realized I had to dig into another part, and then another. I kept thinking, ‘If only there were four Kim Soo-hyuns, that would make things easier.’
It must have been a role that tested your acting abilities.
Yes. I actually enjoy challenges like this. Personally, I like feeling free and unrestrained, but at the same time, I work best when there’s pressure—when I have a heavy workload and can’t even sleep because I have so much to do. I think that’s when I produce my best work. Maybe it’s just my preference.
How did you differentiate the two Jang Tae-young characters?
"Their appearances are similar, so I spent time defining their attitudes differently. The boss Jang Tae-young is an ambitious person, but he basically despises many things. He is always dissatisfied. On the other hand, the mysterious investor Jang Tae-young is ready to absorb everything. He is so curious that he doesn’t want to miss anything. He’s like a four- or five-year-old child—just starting to learn how to speak."
Your eyes sparkled more when you talked about the second Jang Tae-young. Did you find it more interesting?
"This was the most stimulating role I’ve ever played. It was a very dangerous performance—one I never dared to attempt before. I’ve always had a desire for this kind of acting, so it was really exciting."
The second Jang Tae-young’s desire is to admire someone, follow them, and become like them.
"Hmm. It didn’t start from 'I want that' or 'I want to be like that.' Instead, it was more like 'That was originally my place. That was mine. I am the real one. What is that fake doing there?' So, from the beginning, his belief is different. In fact, this is exactly how I approach acting. I start by 'believing.' I believe in the situation. It’s not about taking someone else’s thing—it’s about reclaiming what was originally mine. That makes it easier to bring the character to life."
Acting is an interaction between action and reaction, but since you had many solo scenes, was that difficult?
"That’s right. It was Kim Soo-hyun talking to Kim Soo-hyun and responding to Kim Soo-hyun. But since I was fully aware of my own breathing rhythm and reacted according to the predetermined attitudes, it worked. I looked in the mirror a lot—to see what kind of expression I was making. Sometimes I would laugh to myself, and if my acting didn’t feel right, I’d say, 'Ah, what are you doing!' (laughs). It was fun."
Both the boss Jang Tae-young and the mysterious investor Jang Tae-young have a certain madness. The film’s setting and visuals also feel surreal. Your co-star Jo Woo-jin even said about your acting, 'His eyes would turn... I could see him losing himself in the film more and more.'
"We filmed for six months, and I think I was somewhat intoxicated by it. This was my first time experiencing it, but the energy from the film’s settings and visual art was incredibly strong—it was overwhelming. There were times when it was hard to even say a single word in certain sets. I’m curious to see how much of that energy translates into my performance."
The boss Jang Tae-young is portrayed as skilled in action sequences.
"You’ll see two types of action styles. One is the most precise and clean, a single decisive strike. The other is the most elegant, fluid motion. Have you seen Tai Chi Master (1993, directed by Yuen Woo-ping)? In it, when Jet Li throws a punch, he absorbs the shock from the opponent’s strike and redirects it outward. Every movement flows into the next. I memorized the choreography as if I were learning a dance routine. Since I struggle with physical movements, I started training at a boxing gym months before filming."
The film can be interpreted as a story about reality and illusion or even about identity.
"I also tried to interpret the film in the beginning and got it completely wrong. Since the story is like a twisted maze, if you follow one path too hard, you might end up somewhere entirely different. I think that’s the unique weapon of Real. After watching it, audiences will probably sit down for coffee and have completely different discussions about it."
But since you were at the center of the film, give us a hint on how to read it.
"While filming, I learned about a scholar’s theory that 'a person is only defined by others.' For example, everyone knows me as Kim Soo-hyun, so I can be Kim Soo-hyun. But one day, if people start calling me 'Tae-hyun'—'Hey, Tae-hyun, long time no see!'—and I say, 'No, I’m Soo-hyun,' but they insist, 'Stop joking, you’re Tae-hyun. Let’s go bowling. You love bowling, remember?' then, from that moment, I become Tae-hyun. No matter how much I struggle alone, it’s powerless. Real unfolds in a similar way, surrounding Jang Tae-young’s identity and perception."
Let’s talk about Kim Soo-hyun as an individual. There is ‘human Kim Soo-hyun’ among family and friends, and then there is ‘actor Kim Soo-hyun’ and ‘star Kim Soo-hyun’ on stage. Are they very different?
"In 2017, I turned 30 (by Korean age). I think the two are getting closer. At first, they were too far apart. I’m not sure which side is becoming braver, but I have high expectations. It seems like my agency worries about it a lot (laughs)."
Isn’t it a good thing that they’re getting closer?
"Yes. The further apart they are, the more mentally exhausting it becomes. When I look at my colleagues, seniors, and juniors, I see that the greater the distance, the harder it is for them. I guess I also realized that I can't endure it if they are too far apart. Maybe it’s a survival instinct."
It seems like you’ve felt a strong sense of separation between the two.
"There were days when I saw ‘Kim Soo-hyun on TV’ or ‘Kim Soo-hyun at an event’ and thought, ‘Ugh, he’s so annoying’ (laughs)."
Do you now feel confident in showing your true self to the public?
"Is it more like… it’s hard to hide? I think that’s the case. As I’ve grown older and time has passed, I’ve continued to change in my own way, and I feel like I’m gradually getting closer to myself. Maybe if I talk about this again when I’m around 40, I’ll feel differently."
Do you enjoy your popularity?
"Honestly, I couldn’t enjoy it at all. It’s because there was such a big gap between me and ‘actor Kim Soo-hyun.’ But as the gap started to close, I became grateful for everything."
Seeing how dedicated you are to bowling, it seemed like an effort to maintain a balance between life and work.
"Bowling used to be something that belonged to ‘human Kim Soo-hyun,’ but recently, I played on television (laughs). I don’t think I should be separating them anymore."
On ‘Infinite Challenge,’ you said that you like bowling because it’s not a game where you compete against an opponent, but rather a battle against yourself. How about acting? Is it a battle with yourself or competition with others?
"Acting is also a mental game, just like bowling. I think I enjoy mental games. Scoring in bowling is similar to performing emotional acting. For example, if I have to cry while acting in the middle of Myeongdong, but then someone passing by says, ‘Wow, it’s Kim Soo-hyun!’ ‘Are they filming?’ ‘What’s going on?’—then I can’t concentrate. I can’t just go and say, ‘We’re in the middle of filming for Real’ (laughs). And when I try to refocus, suddenly someone from another side shouts in Chinese, ‘Jing Suxian!’ Then it becomes even harder to concentrate. It’s truly a mental game—how much I can trust myself and how well I can focus on myself."
It has already been 10 years since your debut. How would you evaluate your past decade?
"If I look at it in small parts, there are things I regret and things I wish had gone differently. But looking at the bigger picture, I feel like I’ve used everything up without leaving anything behind. I’ve given my all."
What kind of roles would you like to play in your 30s?
"In the past, I used to say I wanted to play a con artist, a playboy, or a villain, and I would talk about it everywhere. But things didn’t go as planned. Living with set boundaries feels ambiguous. So now, I don’t have a fixed idea. If I come across a script like Real that keeps me up at night, I think I’d do it. But lately, I’ve been craving something really simple—just ordinary, everyday acting. I want to simplify things. No matter what role I take on, no matter what kind of stimuli I encounter in life, I want to be someone who can think and act simply."

The Legend is actually going to be my next after next sageuk rewatch because next sageuk is acutely gonna be Hong Gil Dong - feel like something with a delicious chaser of despair (it remains one of only two kdramas Mr Mousie watched with me - the other one being Chuno - I think he has a skewed perception that Korean dramas are all period class war tales with a dark outlook 😜)
Gotta say, this drama was like a curse on its cast because none of the main three are doing anything at all now as far as I know despite their erstwhile popularity. And if it’s clear why with Kang Ji Hwan (a jail sentence will kill your career dead), I have no idea why this is the case of Sung Yuri and Jang Geun Soo who are talented and scandal free and used to be hella popular.
Anyway, I love this drama as much as it tapdanced on my heart with cleated boots.
Except for My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, I didn’t unabashedly love another Hong Sisters drama since (tho I’ve enjoyed some overall) but what a way to go out!

‘Moving’ Episode 20: Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Zo In Sung’s Characters Find Their Happy Ending
Tumblr media
The Disney+ original series ‘Moving’ has come to an end with its 20th episode, delivering a satisfying conclusion for the characters and the viewers. The superhero action drama, based on the webtoon by Kang Full, starred Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Zo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, and other talented actors as people with hidden superpowers who fight against dark forces.
‘Moving’ Episode 20: The Final Battle
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+) The finale episode began with a tense showdown between Lee Mi Hyun (Han Hyo Joo) and Jung Joon Hwa (Yang Dong Geun), a North Korean soldier who also has the ability to fly. Mi Hyun was in danger of being killed by Joon Hwa, but her son Kim Bong Seok (Lee Jung Ha) came to her rescue and fought against him. However, Mi Hyun wanted Bong Seok to run away, knowing that the North Korean troop leader Kim Deok Yoon (Park Hee Soon) was aiming a gun at him. Fortunately, Bong Seok was saved by Jeon Gye Do (Cha Tae Hyun), who used his electromagnetic power to kill Joon Hwa. Deok Yoon then tried to escape with the files that contained the secrets of the superpowered people, but he was chased by Jang Joo Won (Ryu Seung Ryong) and Lee Jae Man (Kim Sung Kyun) to the rooftop.
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+ Korea) Joo Won and Jae Man confronted Deok Yoon, who revealed that he had been working for Frank (Ryoo Seung Bum), a mysterious man who wanted to use the superpowers for his own agenda. Deok Yoon also confessed that he was the one who killed Jae Man’s father 50 years ago, when he was part of a secret mission to capture the superpowered people. Deok Yoon then tried to jump off the building with the files, but he was stopped by Joo Won, who grabbed his arm. Jae Man then shot Deok Yoon in the chest, causing him to fall. Joo Won managed to hold on to the files and pulled himself up.
The Aftermath
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+ Korea) A year later, the superpowered people were living normal lives without being hunted by anyone. Jang Hee Soo (Go Youn Jung) and Lee Kang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon) graduated from high school with their parents’ attendance, except for Bong Seok and Mi Hyun, who had gone into hiding since the incident. Joo Won continued his chicken business with Kwon Young Deuk (Park Gwang Jae), a former North Korean soldier who became his assistant. Hee Soo entered the university’s physical education department and became friends with Shin Hye Won (Shim Dal Gi), a girl who had super speed. Kang Hoon visited Mr. Min (Moon Sung Geun), the head of the NIS, and expressed his desire to join the agency with one condition: to clear his father’s name from criminal records. Mr. Min agreed and revealed that Kang Hoon’s father was actually a hero who sacrificed himself to protect the superpowered people from Frank.
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+ Korea) Kang Hoon also met the school guard and his classmate who disguised themselves as part of Jeonwon High School, but in reality they were high-ranking NIS officials who had been monitoring the superpowered people. Bong Seok and Mi Hyun left town and lived a peaceful life in a rural area. They occasionally received letters from Hee Soo and Kang Hoon, who updated them on their lives. Hee Soo also told them about a superhero wearing a yellow cape who appeared in Seoul and saved people from danger. In the last scene, it was revealed that the superhero was Kim Doo Shik (Zo In Sung), Bong Seok’s father and Mi Hyun’s husband, who had been held captive by Frank for 50 years. He managed to escape with the help of Park Il Chan (Jo Bok Rae), a North Korean soldier who sympathized with him. Doo Shik returned to South Korea and killed Frank, who had been hiding as an American businessman named Mark (Daniel C Kennedy). He then reunited with his family and hugged them tightly.
The Reviews

Apgujeong Midnight Sun (kdrama, 2014-2015)
Tumblr media
"Apgujeong Midnight Sun" is a drama about the story of Baek Ya, a young woman who goes through many turbulence's in her life, many tragedies, until she finds her happiness.
At first, Ya Ya is a spoiled girl who lives with her brother and sister-in-law, but only knows how to criticize everything. Her life changes completely when her brother dies in a car accident and she has to grow up overnight. Ya Ya discovers that the accident has something to do with her mother who abandoned them when they were children. She decides to find her mother and take revenge on her.
There is also Hwa Uhm's family, who raised Ya Ya when she was little and they created a strong bond. Hwa Uhm has always been in love with Ya Ya and she clearly has those feelings for him too, but out of consideration for his family, Ya Ya has always hidden her feelings. When she meets her mother again, Ya Ya makes a plan to seduce Na Dan, become part of her mother's family and gradually destroy her life.
The big problem is that Ya Ya ends up falling in love with Na Dan in the process, but fate intervenes and on the day they get married, Na Dan tragically dies, leaving Ya Ya devastated again. After Na Dan dies, Hwa Uhm finally gathers the courage, tells her family about her feelings for Ya Ya and decides to follow her heart, but her family is against this relationship and does everything they can to separate Ya Ya and Hwa Uhm.
This is one of the cruelest moments in the drama, because Hwa Uhm's family has always treated Ya Ya very well, truly as part of the family, especially her mother and grandmother, and it was the two of them who devised that plan to separate the two, forcing Ya Ya to fake her own death just so she wouldn't have to leave the country. The problem they didn't imagine was the strength of Hwa Uhm's love, who didn't want to live without Ya Ya and tried to kill herself, making it so there was no other way out than to accept their relationship.
Ya Ya and Hwa Uhm's relationship is very beautiful, it's not a fleeting love, it's something lasting. They go through many obstacles to finally be together, but all the loss and pain were necessary for them to value each other. The drama is long, it has 149 episodes and at a certain point you can't stand to see Ya Ya suffering anymore, but all of this culminates in her happiness in the end.

SHINee Appears on Knowing Bros
Tumblr media
The Knowing Bros classroom buzzed with excitement as the cast prepared to welcome their special guests. The door slid open, and in walked SHINee—Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin—instantly lighting up the room with their presence. The audience cheered wildly, and the cast stood up to greet them with applause.
“Ohhhh, SHINee is here!” Kang Ho-dong exclaimed, clapping loudly. “The legends themselves! Welcome!”
“SHINee’s in the building!” Lee Soo Geun exclaimed, clapping enthusiastically.
“It’s been a while since we had all of you together,” Kim Heechul added with his signature grin. “We’re expecting a fun episode today.”
The members bowed politely, their bright smiles filling the room.
“Annyeonghaseyo! SHINee imnida!” they chorused, radiating charm and confidence.
Heechul, with his trademark smirk, wasted no time. “I’ve been waiting for this day! Taemin-ah, you’re finally here. We have so much to talk about.”
Taemin looked a little wary but smiled shyly. “Ah… Why do I feel like this is going to be dangerous?”
Key immediately pointed at him. “It’s always dangerous when Heechul is involved. Don’t trust him!”
The cast burst out laughing.
“Don’t act innocent!” Seo Jang Hoon chimed in, pointing at Taemin. “You know what you did. Let’s talk about Ruby!”
The moment her name was mentioned, the rest of the cast erupted into laughter, and Taemin’s ears immediately turned red.
“Ruby?” Onew said, turning to Taemin with a smirk. “What’s this about Ruby?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know!” Lee Jin Ho teased.
Kang Ho-dong leaned forward eagerly and said, “Taemin, Taemin, let’s not waste time. Did you watch the episode of Knowing Bros where Ruby and Taeyong appeared?”
Taemin’s cheeks turned a light shade of pink as the room erupted in cheers and laughter. He rubbed the back of his neck, looking embarrassed. “Yes… I saw it.”
The cast immediately pounced on his reaction. Seo Jang-hoon grinned. “Oh, look at him blushing! Taemin-ah, you really watched it, didn’t you?”
Taemin nodded, trying to contain his smile. “I did. It was… entertaining.”
“Entertaining?!” Kim Young-chul said, feigning shock. “Taemin’s been all over the internet because of that Knowing Bros episode with Ruby and Taeyong.”
Key grinned, leaning toward Taemin. “Yeah, Taemin. You’ve been trending for weeks! That clip of Taeyong choosing you for Ruby went viral.”
Kim Heechul chuckled, clearly enjoying Taemin’s growing discomfort. “It was the most-watched Knowing Bros episode of the year. Congratulations, Taemin-ah.”
“Yah!” Taemin protested, his face now fully flushed. “Why are we talking about this? I didn’t even do anything!”
“Really?” Heechul interjected with a raised eyebrow. “So you didn’t see the episode where Taeyong said you’d be the perfect match for Ruby.”
Key leaned into Taemin, smirking. “You saw that part, right? The clip where Taeyong said you should marry Ruby? It went viral. You couldn’t have missed it.”
Taemin, now fully red, covered his face with his hands. “I saw it, okay? It was everywhere!”
The cast exploded into laughter, with Kang Ho Dong slamming the table in delight. “Oh, he definitely saw it! Look at his face!”
Key leaned back in his chair, laughing. “Taemin, why didn’t you tell us you were watching it? Were you analyzing Taeyong’s reasoning for approving you?”
“No!” Taemin exclaimed, burying his face in his hands. “I just… It popped up on my feed, okay? Everyone was tagging me!”
Lee Sang-min chuckled, “It wasn’t just everywhere—it was the most-watched episode of the year. That clip alone had millions of views in just a few days.”
Lee Soo-geun grinned. “Fans were going crazy about it. They started calling you and Ruby the ‘Ultimate K-pop Power Couple.’”
Seo Jang Hoon leaned back, crossing his arms smugly. “See, Taemin? Even Taeyong, her best friend, approved of you. That’s a big deal.”
“Exactly!” Kang Ho-dong added.
“So, what did you think of Taeyong’s answer? He said you’d be a good match for Ruby.”
Taemin hesitated, his brain scrambling for a neutral response. “I… I was surprised. I didn’t expect him to say that.”
Young Chul Kim then said, “Taeyong practically handed Ruby over to you on a silver platter!”
Taemin shook his head, laughing nervously. “You’re all making it sound way bigger than it is.”
“Oh, no, no,” Seo Jang-hoon interjected, waving his hand. “This is a huge deal, Taemin. Ruby even said on the show that she gets shy around you. That means you must have a special place in her heart!”
The cast roared with laughter as Taemin’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. He fidgeted in his seat, clearly flustered. “Hyungs, you’re going to make this so awkward the next time I see her!”
“That’s the point!” Heechul said, grinning mischievously.
Kang Ho-dong smirked. “Come on, Taemin. Be honest. You liked hearing it, didn’t you?”
“I—” Taemin started, but he was cut off by Heechul.
“Look, let me make this easy for you,” Heechul said, leaning forward dramatically. “Do you think you and Ruby would make a good couple?”
The room went silent, all eyes on Taemin, who looked like he wanted to disappear into his chair.
“I—uh—she’s very talented and—”
“Talented and?” Lee Soo Geun prompted, leaning closer with a grin.
“She’s hardworking and kind,” Taemin said quickly, his face burning.
The cast burst into laughter again, and Minho patted Taemin on the back. “Good job, Taemin. Way to dodge the question completely.”
“Okay, okay, let’s move on,” Taemin said, waving his hands in surrender.
But Heechul wasn’t done. “Move on? Oh no, we’re just getting started. Ruby’s episode set the bar high, so now we need some answers. What would you do if Ruby confessed to you?”
Taemin choked on air, and Onew had to hand him a water bottle while everyone else laughed hysterically.
“I can’t believe this,” Taemin muttered, shaking his head.
“Fine, we’ll let you off the hook—for now,” Kang Ho Dong said with a mischievous grin. “But only if you promise to invite us to the wedding.”
“What wedding?!” Taemin exclaimed, his voice cracking slightly.
“The one Taeyong and the rest of the Shinee members will plan for you and Ruby,” Seo Jang Hoon said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
At this point, even the SHINee members were struggling to contain their laughter.
“You know,” Min Kyung Hoon said, smirking at Taemin, “Ruby’s really talented. She’s got a great voice, a cool stage presence… I can see why Taeyong approved of you.”
Taemin buried his face in his hands, laughing helplessly. “Hyung, please! You’re going to make the fans misunderstand!”
Kang Ho-dong leaned in conspiratorially. “But if Ruby asked you, ‘Taemin-oppa, will you marry me?’ What would you say?”
The cast and SHINee members howled with laughter, and Taemin shook his head vigorously. “I don’t know! Stop putting me on the spot!”
Minho smirked, patting Taemin on the back. “I think we all know the answer, though.”
Seo Jang-hoon nodded sagely. “It’s written all over his face.”
The teasing continued, with Heechul pretending to be jealous. “Yah, Taemin! What about me? I’ve been telling Ruby we’re going to get married for years. How dare you swoop in and steal my future bride?”
Key rolled his eyes dramatically. “Hyung, you have no chance. Taemin already has the fans’ approval, Taeyong’s approval, and now Ruby’s probably blushing just as much as Taemin is watching this!”
Taemin groaned, covering his face again. “Can we talk about something else, please?”
“Sure,” Heechul said with a sly grin. “But don’t think this is over. Ruby’s a hot topic right now, and so are you. The fans love this!”
The room erupted into chaos once more, with the cast and SHINee members enjoying every second of Taemin’s adorable flustered state. It was clear that Ruby’s Knowing Bros episode had left a lasting impression—not just on the fans, but on Taemin himself.
As the laughter settled, Kang Ho-dong leaned back, smiling warmly. “Taemin, don’t worry. Whatever happens, the most important thing is that Ruby thinks highly of you. That’s what matters.”
Taemin smiled shyly, nodding. “Thank you, hyung.”
But just as the conversation seemed to calm down, Heechul smirked and leaned over. “Just don’t forget to invite me to the wedding, okay?”
And with that, the room exploded into laughter once again, the episode as another iconic moment in Knowing Bros history.

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing? I hope everyone is doing well! 🤍 I had an amazing week; I went to San Francisco and attended the aespa concert in Oakland, and it was amazing!!! If you get the chance to see them, I would totally recommend it. I'm also seeing Taemin very soon, and I'm so excited! Hope you enjoy this one-shot. 🤍

You entered DamBam, as you placed the books on the nearest table you looked around to see if you could find any familiar faces.
Frowning you groaned as you hung on the table, when you felt two warm arms wrap around your waist.
Y/n: AHH!
Sae-Ro-Yi: Did I scare you? He asked, as he placed his chin on your shoulder.
Y/n: I...a little. You replied, as you placed your hands on his arms.
Sae-Ro-Yi: Sorry, I scared you. I didn't mean it. He whispered, in your ear as he gave you a small peck on your cheek.
Y/n: It's my fault really. I shouldn't have come this late. I just wanted to bring these recipe books for Hyun-Yi, before I forgot.
Sae-Ro-Yi: Oh, aren't those your mothers recipes?
Y/n: Yes, they are. She...she would've wanted you to have them. You said, as you turned in his arms.
Sae-Ro-Yi: Really? You think your mother would've loved, to pass on her recipes to me? A criminal?
Y/n: Your not a criminal Sae-Ro-Yi. You just had a breakdown, when you attacked Geun-won nothing else. Besides we've known each other since middle school and we've been friends ever since.
Sae-Ro-Yi: True, then it developed into more. He replied, as he smirked at you.
Y/n: It did.
Sae-Ro-Yi: Y/n, I know we've only been dating for a month but I feel that it's...i feel like I can say this to you. I love you, y/n.
Y/n: You lovve me?
Sae-Ro-Yi: I do. He smiled, as he brushed your cheek with his thumb.
Y/n: That's a good thing. Because if I told you, I loved you and you didn't feel the same way it would've been horrible.
Sae-Ro-Yi: So, we love each other?
Y/n: Yes. You spoke, as you wrapped your arms around his neck. Now, are you going to kiss me?
Sae-Ro-Yi smiled down at you, as he leaned down capturing your lips with his. In a soft, loving kiss that you both adored.

You met Geun-Soo in the building you both lived in. He lived next to you, and was always sweet and kind towards you. Always offering to help with anythjgg you needed, or if you just wanted to get together and hang out.
That's were you started developing feelings for him, you got along great and he even got you a job at DamBam. You loved working at DamBam, everyone was so nice and caring...well almost everyone.
You were busy cleaning tables, when you felt a kiss on you cheek as Geun-Soohugged you from behind.
Geun-Soo: Hi. Ready to go home?
Y/n: Almost. I promised I'd lock up too. If you want you can go ahead, and I'll catch up later.
Geun-Soo: Are you crazy? I'm not going to let my girlfriend walk home alone at night, that's dangerous and I won't allow it.
Y/n: See, this is why I love you so much Geun-Soo.
Geun-Soo: You love me?
Y/n: Yes. You said, with a smile.
Geun-Soo: I wanted to say that first.
Y/n: Well I did, unfortunately for you-
Geun-Soo: I love you too. He said, as he pecked your cheek.

You placed the files down on Geun-won's table, he wasnt looking at you and you started getting pissed off because he's been avoiding you for days.
He hasn't spoken to you, or made eye contact with you.
Sighing you bit your lip, as you spoke up.
Y/n: My letter of resignation is there too. I just-
Geun-won: Your quitting? Why?
Y/n: Yes. Geun-won, I can't handle you avoiding me and not talking to me. If there is a problem then tell me so we can fix it...or break up with me-
Geun-won: I don't want to break up with you-
Y/n: Then what do you want?
Geun-won: I've just been trying to figure out a way to talk to you. I didn't know how to tell you, how I feel about you.
Y/n: How you feel-wait do...do you love me? You asked, as you stepped closer hope in your eyes.
Geun-won: Yes...i do-mm
You gut off Geun-won by pulling him closer to him. Your hands moved to his hair, as his arms wrapped around your waist as he pulled you onto his lap.
You pulled away for a second, looking into Geun-won's eyes and smiled as you leaned in to kiss him again.
