Something I’m giggling about and feel like I must share: we have rice in hyrule, as well as fish, could sushi be a thing? Like sashimi could be but is there a Zelda version of nori the sea weed that is the key thing of a sushi roll.

As rito specialize in stuff with wheat like baked goods or stews which makes sense they live in a frosty area and their stores mostly have baking stuff

The zora specialize in fish due to being water dwellers they have some spices stuff but mostly fish is in their stores

Gorons specialize in mostly mining due to they eat rocks, but their store shows they have stuff like their goron spice, sugar basically stuff that can be grounded up and put on a meal

Then there is the geurdo who specialize in basically everything like their market place has: mushrooms, cooked meat, stuff to make meals with like rice and wheat and rock salt, fruit even a lady at the bazar has lizalfos tails (feel like she’ll feel guilty on that one in your headcons)

Now here’s why I was giggling imagine now what would the monster tribes villages specialize in making for their stores for people to buy? Or would they be like the gorons and specialize in their own seasonings? Or be like the gerudo and have basically a random selection on many ingredients or would they make a first thing product hyrule never had before? Like noodles, or nori, or recipes like tempura by frying stuff with oil coated with a breading of flour and goron spice (I was sad they didn’t have that as a meal recipe in totk)

This is just one of those things as I was giggling about how you plans on things post botw and totk for the malice free monsters as I can’t wait to see what happens

I always love worldbuilding exercises like this because, looking at our real world for influence, a lot of food that we take for granted has very rich and detailed origins.

It's interesting because Japan's invention of sushi came from the fact that they used rice vinegar to ferment fish and keep it fresh, but then starting eating the rice fermented with it they'd otherwise throw out.

While sushi in our current day is usually flash-frozen to kill any parasites, I've shown Lizalfos as one of the species that can just eat fish raw with little problems. Lizalfos, at least non-elemental ones, also seem to be native to more wetlands areas of Hyrule. Their big encampment in Lanayru being a good example.

This would create something of a perfect storm of circumstances where Lizalfos' main crop they would grow would be rice because the environment there lets rice thrive, and their diet mainly consists of fish. So I can absolutely see them "inventing" sushi through that.

Anyways this is just reminding me of how Uncle Iroh invented Boba Tea in the ATLA world, so I absolutely wanna try something like that LMAO

Is Marinette’s maternal grandfather and the father of Sabine Cheng.

Cares very deeply for his family and wants to protects them from the Huntsclan. 

While he wants his granddaughter to become the best dragon she can be, he still has trouble letting her go as she grows as an individual. But he’s slowly coming to terms with that as he watches Marinette grow.

Nino Lahiffe 

Is a Kappa. The Kappa line is from his father’s side. 

Wears a semi-hollow backpack to hide the parts of his shell he can’t hide and a red cap (pretty much his signature style) to both hides and keep the dish-like depression that’s on top of his skull filled with water. 

Love music and movies. DJs and makes homemade movies as hobbies, and has fringe following online.

Has been friends with Marinette and Kim since they were toddlers, and has been an asset to aiding his dragon buddy with her Magical Duties.

Has been friends with Nino and Marinette since they were toddlers, and has been an asset to aiding his dragon buddy with her Magical Duties.

He’s a whole lot smarter than he lets on. He’s been able to hack into security systems unnoticed to either pinpoint certain locations or keep an eye on the enemy’s whereabouts. He’s even written a few program codes to keep him updated on important information in both the Human and Magical Words. 

Does tries to keep Markov (Still an AI) from trying to hack into the school’s mainframe to “Rearrange” certain activities, events, and classes. He didn’t create Markov.

Kagami Tsurugi

She is the Dragon assigned to Japan. With her dragon heritage coming from her father’s side. Her mother is human (and blind), strict but does care for her daughter. 

Her personality and deminer are the same as ML Canon counterpart. 

First meets Marinette and her friends during the Dragon Summit. She wasn’t sure what to think of them during their initial interaction, but her opinion had drastically changed when she watched Marinette aced her Dragon Trials. 

Her Dragon Fire allows her to control one of three elements. Water, Air, and Electricity. But she can only use one at a time at the moment.

She started pursuing Marinette romanticly after the Dragon Sumit and sees Luka and this Adrien person (hasn’t met him in person yet) as competition for Dragonbug.

Luka Couffaine

He is the Dragon assigned to the Caribbean. He’s actually half dragon half water siren, with Anarka (his mother) being the siren. 

Has a younger sister named Juleka, who is a full siren.

Always seem to be at the right place and the right time. Plus he has always been able to improvise when needed in a way that leads to success. Although, no one has seen him ever use his Dragon Fire no matter the situation. (Wink*Wink*)

Fell for Marinette and Kagami’s heartsong on the spot, and is currently pursuing them both (despite the latter’s dismay and confusion). Is debating on this Adrien person, since he hasn’t met him yet.

Loves music and is usually seen with his guitar. Gets along great with Nino in that department.

I have a yokai watch headcon that bananose like the species and chocbanas ARENT food yokai despite the yokai pad putting them under that category, and bananoes are water attribute but can use water to ice a lot more then other water attribute slippery tribe like babblongs

Babblong, timidevil and roughraff’s brother who is a bananose is very skilled in his elemental control, he’s also the bananose Nate meets in yokai watch! (Which I found weird as in the games Bananoes basically is Babblong but makes you tell very quick stories but in the anime they had bananose have the ability to ripen bananas (which is his second ability over the quick story ability))

And yes my headcon bananose is short tempered but has big brother energy but lives in hailey Anne’s detective office in BBQ yokai world (in my headcons hailey anne lives there in BBQ and Nate still lives in Japan) Bananose went to America yokai world to find or see if him and his siblings mom and dad became yokai and just ended up in BBQ’s yokai central instead of japan’s Yokai central.

He had no home, so he lived in hailey Anne’s detective office attic till Hailey anne caught him but decided to let him live there as long as he helps pull his weight around Aka she gave him a job which he gladly took.

He’s a skilled fighter and a great healer he thinks it’s due to his brother being a roughraff and his other brother being a babblong.

How he met flames and gar-oni will be explained when I get to drawing those two (right now I’m in design phase and I don’t know how to draw firewig and gargaros yet ^^,)

He likes to think he’s great at dealing with intimidating people, because hello? Germany is his best friend. But after your brothers comments and aggressive behavior failed to decrease he does everything in his power to avoid him.

Japan

He’s not really intimidated. He thinks the fact that your brother is so confrontational speaks more to his personality, especially when Kiku hasn’t done anything. Kiku is just gonna keep living his best life with you and Kiku won’t have a problem with your brother unless he tries to convince you that your relationship isn’t a good one.

Germany

At first he was a little intimidated because he wanted your family to like him but then he just grows annoyed. Like when you are sitting and a fly keeps buzzing around you. When your brother goes off an a tangent he just stares at him. He knows it can be useless to argue with people so set in their opinions and emotions. He just hopes that your brother will wake up and see that he isn’t a bad guy.

Prussia

Will absolutely fight back. Shouting matches back and forth. Gilbert is someone who can’t rest until he knows his opinions have been heard, even if they aren’t processed. This will of course upset you and as soon as you voice your discomfort Gil will back down and never do it again.......hopefully.

He would jump. Especially if you hugged him from behind. Don’t be surprised if he instinctively pushed you away, he doesn’t mean to. If you held on tight enough he would pat your back and kiss your forehead.

Germany

“What’s wrong?”

He immediately assumed you are hurt, scared or sad. His heart would thumped in his chest until you shot him a smile, and he relaxed knowing you are alright.

Prussia

Would immediately pick you up and swing you around. Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t let you go for a while.

But i love the dynamic of the axis parenting together 💛 also reader is close with germany and prussia (platonic wise obviously lol) and sees them as older brothers. ❤

Italy

He is more of like a “motherly” figure to you

He’s the one that always makes sure you are happy

He likes to encourage your creativity and does activities with you that aren’t really practical- but will make you happy

He is always taking picture of you and of everyone else to add into the “family scrapbook”

Japan

He was really akward and uncomfortable around you when you were a child just because he has NO idea what to do

But now that you are older he finds common interests

Like watching anime, playing video games with you, teaching you how to make food

He’s also a really good listener! He doesn’t really like to offer advice because he feels it’s a big responsibility but if you ever need someone to vent to- he’s your man

He will also always help you with homework (he’s basically good at every subject)

He also likes making little animes of you

Germany

He is the disciplinary/strict one

He always makes sure you are in bed on time

Have eaten enough

Have gotten enough physical activity

He also teaches you practical things- like taxes, paying bills, budgeting, changing a tire, riding a bike, etc

If you do something wrong he’s the first one to call you on it and the first one to punish you

But everytime you’ve had a hard day he’s the first one to greet you at home with homemade brownies/cookies and your favorite movie

He’s also probably the one you go to if you are scared or have had a nightmare

Prussia

He’s tough on you but not as tough as Germany

He likes to make your life fun and exciting

He tries out different things with you so you can see what you like and you can check things off your bucket list

Oh you Wanna learn how make pottery? Done!

You wanna know what it feels like to swim with sharks? Done!

He’s also the one you mope around with

Whenever you don’t feel good he’s right there with you, sprawled out on your bed so you can be sad and moody together

He is your buddy

You both gossip and talk trash about your friends and people you don’t like

He knows the name of all you friends, all of your crushes, all of your teachers, everything!

He’s also the one that helps you with your homework, but then both of you get super frustrated and begrudgingly have to go ask Germany/Japan for help

He’s the type to pick you up from school early to go get gelato because it’s good for your mental health

He teaches you how to make pizza and both of you go and have sleepovers at Spain’s house for a mini vacation

“Kiku I need to get up!” You grumbled. Your tried to wiggle your way out of his grasp only to end up with your back pressed against his chest.

“No you don’t.” He sighed tightening his grip. You scrunched your face in concentration. You rolled back over you you were able to look at him in the eyes.

“Are you feeling okay, Kiku?” You cooed, bringing your hand up and placing it on his forehead. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the feeling of your palm skin against his forehead. You noticed this and ran your fingers through his hair scratching the base of his neck.

“I just need you.” He mumbled. He tended and blushed at his own words and quickly buried his face in the top of your head. You made a sound that sounded somewhat like a squeal and cuddled deeper into his chest.

2p Canada

“Bedroom, now!” Your boyfriend growled as soon as you walked din the front door. You gulped and thanked the lord you decided to shave this morning assuming he was implying something much more nasty.

“What happened?” You soothed, as you trailed behind him. He grunted and laid down flat on his back. He patted his chest and you quickly got on the bed next to him. He gripped your waist and quickly tugged you ontop of him. Before you could even do anything he rolled both of you over and rested his head on your shoulder. His arms were wrapped tightly around your waist and his body was shifted to the side a little so he wasn’t crushing you under his whole body.

You had to stop a giggled and ran a hand through his long hair. Your other hand stroked his cheeks softly.

“Did you have a bad day?” You asked pressing him closer. He nodded his head and kissed your cheek.

“Sorry if I startled you when you got home. I just need to be touched.” He grumbled the last part almost to himself, but you nodded understandingly.

“I love you Matt.” You mumbled pressing a kiss to the side of his head.
