The omikoshi (they did parades every hour or so), cosplayers of Rosalina (I think) and Peach from Mario, pretty ceiling in the venue and what I bought!

I got a Litten stuffed toy, a figurine of Suletta Mercury, a surprise box toy of Pachirisu and Emolga, Spooky Halloween Sprigatito, a cat paw shaped pen, 3 kimono flower hair clips, a blue cat made from candy, a kimono pouch and an omikuji fortune. Sprigatito even has toe beans. And then our cat interrupted me lol

went to japanfest + some of the stores in the convention area today!

we had a blast--got to see awesome taiko and sumo performances, some beautiful bonsai (the one pictured is 65 years old, but one was over 100!!), ate lots of tasty food, spent too much money a lot of fun stuff, including some rose green tea i'm about to go brew for myself. i'm absolutely wiped, but i wanna have some tea and play a little cyberpunk before i crash, likely very early for a saturday night :3

Coord for day 2 of JapanFest and helping out my comm at the Physical Drop booth! We sold a little over half of what Kato san sent us! Felt really good to help out a pioneer in the lolita fashion space sell her dresses! Really hope to get a pink jsk from her in the future!

Japanfest Atlanta 2023 part 4: me

I did a full kimono dressing, which was done by a small army of volunteers working in duos on each person. I chose full on formal tomesode, which is for married women. I think they made lovely color choices - I wouldn't have gone for the marigold yellow had I made the selection, but they have good eyes and picked colors that work well together. I also attempted to put up my hair a bit with accessories they provided.

Later, after lunch, I found a giant backdrop of the Moon Kingdom from Sailor Moon in the vendor area. These photos do not really do justice to just how big this backdrop was.

Oh fun!! Yeah my partner lives here, I'm visiting him for all of next week!!! Gonna go to Japanfest tomorrow and then the aquarium Monday. I am going to go feral in the fish tanks!!! They're doing an animal crossing event in the aquarium which is just fantastic timing
