An event is generally classified into two categories

-Hoy se conmemora el Día de los Santos Inocentes. El Día de los Santos Inocentes es la conmemoración de un episodio hagiográfico del cristianismo: la matanza de todos los niños menores de dos años nacidos en Belén (Judea), ordenada por el rey Herodes con el fin de deshacerse del recién nacido Jesús de Nazaret.

-1065: se funda la Abadía de Westminster. La Abadía de Westminster o Iglesia colegiata de San Pedro de Westminster fue una iglesia gótica del tamaño de una catedral. Fue el lugar tradicional para las coronaciones y entierros de los monarcas ingleses. Estuvo localizada en Londres, al lado del Palacio de Westminster. De acuerdo con la tradición, en el año 616 se fundó un santuario en el lugar conocido como “Thorney Island”. Se dice que fue milagrosamente consagrado después de que un pescador del río Támesis tuvo una visión de San Pedro. Aunque la existencia del santuario es incierta, la abadía histórica fue construida por Eduardo el Confesor, entre los años 1045 y 1050, y fue consagrada el 28 de diciembre de 1065.
