Another Catch-No Catch situation on Thursday Night Football in a play that was first ruled a catch by Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba then upon review, it was overturned. Nobody knows what an NFL catch is, least of all an NFL ref.

Sunday was a crazy day for the NFL during the offseason, and ICYMI, here is a round-up of what took place.

Davante Adams heads to the West Coast, signs 2-year deal with the Rams.

Former New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams signed a two-year $46 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams, with $26 million guaranteed. The team announced. 

Last month, the Rams announced that they were going to part ways with former Super Bowl MVP wide receiver Cooper Kupp. It seems that Adams will replace the former triple-champion wide receiver. 

With this addition, quarterback Matthew Stafford now has wide receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams to throw to, 

Adams was traded to the Jets during the 2024 NFL season for a third-round pick after spending the first 6 weeks with the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams caught 85 passes for 1,063 yards and 8 touchdowns last season. 

Bills lock in Josh Allen for life. 

The 2024 Most Valuable Player just got paid.

The Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen have agreed to a 6-year, $330 million contract with $250 million guaranteed. This locks the MVP in New York until 2030. Per ESPN

Allen is coming off the best season of his career, throwing 28 touchdowns and 3,701 yards while running for 12 more touchdowns. He led the Bills to a 13-4 record, a trip to the AFC title game, and Buffalo's fifth straight AFC East title. To top it all off, he broke Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly's record for most touchdowns in Bills' franchise history. 

With a season like that, winning your first MVP, it's time for a pay raise. 

The three-time pro bowler has thrown 195 touchdowns for 26,434 yards and rushed for 65 touchdowns, which ties the franchise record with Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas. Allen will likely break this record this season. 

Myles Garrett stays in Cleveland 

After months of uncertainty with Garrett and the Cleveland Browns, they have reached an agreement. per ESPN

The Cleveland Browns and All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett have reached a four-year contract that averages $40 million per year with $123 million guaranteed. This makes Garrett the highest-paid non-quarterback player in the league. Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby had the title just for a few days, and he reached a contract that averaged 35.5 million dollars per year.

Cleveland fans can sleep at night with the contract, which comes after adamant demands from Garrett, who wanted to be traded and even requested to be traded. Garrett questioned whether the Browns were even in a position to win a Super Bowl and even went as far as consulting NBA legend LeBron James. 

Garrett has 102 career sacks and 6 career fumble recoveries with the Browns and won AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.

Aaron Jones inks 2-year contract with Minnesota Vikings. 

Aaron Jones will stay put in Minnesota. 

The Minnesota Vikings and running back Aaron Jones agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract with $13 million guaranteed. Per ESPN Adam Schefter

Jones  is entering his ninth year in the league; Jones rushed for 1,138 yards, for 5 touchdowns, snagging 51 passes for 408 yards and two more scores, 

That is not bad for a 31-year-old vet. 

The Seahawks traded D.K Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Metcalf is heading to the Steel City.

The Seattle Seahawks have granted DK Metcalf's trade wish by trading him to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2025 second-round pick and swapping 2025 sixth—and seventh-round picks. Per ESPN Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh has also agreed to a 5-year, $150 million contract with Metcalf. 

The Steelers have found their new #1 wide receiver after failing to make a trade for San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Ayiuk, who was holding out due to contract issues. Pittsburgh was not going to miss their chance this time. 

Seattle will look different this year. They released wide receiver Tyler Lockett and traded quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders, leaving wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba the only star on the team.

The Sam Darnold sweepstakes are in and trying to figure out what team could pursue Darnold after all he is coming off the best season of his career, throwing 35 touchdowns, and 4,319 yards, leading the Minnesota Vikings to a 14-3 record and a trip to the playoffs, Darnold are heading to free agency with a lot of options, Which teams are entering the sweepstakes

New York Giants 

There hasn't been much buzz about Darnold going back to the Big Apple and becoming a Giant. But the Giants need a quarterback. Darnold could boost the offense, which they desperately need help with. With wide receiver Mailk Nabers on the same side of the field, Darnold shouldn't see the ghost.

Seattle Seahawks 

The Seahawks are having a garage sale right now after releasing wide receiver Tyler Lockett, trading DK Metcalf, and trading their starting quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders; the 12th man looks a little empty right now, and with no one at quarterback, the Seahawks can get Darnold at the right price, especially with all the money they are savings with the trades and releases Not everyone is for sale right now, as Seattle still have wide receiver Jaxon Smit-Njigba which could be Sam's best friend on the field .

Pittsburgh Steelers 

Pittsburgh are not going to retain super bowl winning quarterback Russell Wilson and the future with former Ohio state quarterback Justin fields is uncertain, but according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, The Steelers are expected to make Sam Darnold an offer, the eight year veteran would not only have wide receiver George Pickens to throw to, but DK Metcalf who was acquired via trade from the Seattle Seahawks.

Minnesota Vikings  

The Vikings were not going ot use their franchise tag on Darnold, which would make sense if he will back up J.J McCarthy thi season who is coming off a season-ending injury, but it’s great to have a veteran in your locker room, especially if they can win 14 games in a season, but perhaps Darnold doest want to be back up after his explosive season. 

Indianapolis Colts  

Sam Darnold could have a chance to land here during free agency, The Colts are struggling at quarterback, with Anthony Richardson benign benched in the middle of the season because he was “tired” and Super Bowl winning quarterback Joe Flacco is definitely showing age,  It would make sense that Indianapolis could be under the radar for Darnold.
