Physique: Average Build Height: 5’ 9” (1.76 m)
Joseph Isadore Lieberman (/ˈliːbərmən/; February 24, 1942 – March 27, 2024; aged 82) was an American politician and lawyer who served as a United States senator from Connecticut from 1989 to 2013. A former member of the Democratic Party, he was its nominee for vice president of the United States in the 2000 U.S. presidential election. During his final term in office, he was officially listed as an independent Democrat and caucused with and chaired committees for the Democratic Party.

An observant Jew, Lieberman described himself as an independent, who tended to side with conservatives on foreign policy and liberals on domestic policy. That's nice and all, but I'm more interest in his close friendship with fellow senators, John McCain and Lindsey Graham. So close, they were dubbed the “three amigos” to some. Even traveling and vacationing together.

Sure their friendship is probably platonic, but I prefer the sordid version in my head where Lieberman and McCain used Graham regularly as a cock sock.

On March 27, 2024, Lieberman died at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, aged 82, from injuries that he sustained in a fall at his home in the Bronx. He is survived by his second wife; their daughter, his son and daughter from his first marriage; and his stepson from his second.

Sad about Joe Lieberman?
It's almost always sad when someone dies, but I didn't have any particular connection with Joe Lieberman other than the fact that he was very nearly our Vice President when he ran as Al Gore's running mate and I supported Gore in 2000.
But he wasn't my favorite Democrat. Republicans like to talk about RINOs (Republican In Name Only)...well, I don't think it's too harsh to point out that Lieberman was often a "DINO". I mean...while he was almost Gore's Vice President, he was also almost John McCain's Vice President.

Lindsey Graham (R-SC) United States Senator
Recently, I had a discussion about Lindsey and his relationship with John McCain. They were close friends for more than 10 years. Even traveling and vacationing together.
A “friends with benefits” deal maybe.
That or a unrequited kind of thing. Lindsey loving him from afar.
Tumblr media
Now that I think of it, during their time in the Senate together, McCain, Graham and former Sen. Joe Lieberman became close friends. So much so, they dubbed the "three amigos" to some.
I'm letting my imagination get away from me as they were all “just good friends.”
But... I prefer my sordid version where Joe and John were getting blow jobs and fucking Lindsey on a regular basis. Because you know that’s how Lindsey would prefer it.

Lieberman Takes 'No Labels' with Him to the Grave!
some good news, after they've wasted millions, 'No Labels' folds… but what they consider, & the AP regurgitates, as 'centrist' — wtf

From the July 4, 2023 takedown:
With a No Labels candidacy unlikely to win electoral votes, then, or even to meaningfully affect public discussion of the organization’s stated values, speculation has naturally arisen about what—or whose—purpose such a campaign would really serve. Because the group is a nonprofit that doesn’t have to identify its donors, this speculation can have a sinister edge. Cui bono from all this “dark money”?
...
The Democrats favored by No Labels donors have a common history of resisting proposals for social spending and efforts to raise taxes or regulate the financial industry....
...
So what’s the deal with No Labels? Here’s a theory: Its leaders and guiding spirits—the Jacobsons, Penns, and Liebermans—are locked in a mutually delusional feedback loop with their donors in which everyone convinces themselves that a random politician whose main attribute is being objectionable to both parties could become president. They have a faith-like conviction that both sides must always be doing something wrong, a hunger for relevance, and enough confidence to keep going when everyone tells them they’re making a mistake. That (and $70 million) is more than enough to spoil an election with or without having a clear goal in mind. “What is No Labels’ plan for 2024?” might be the wrong question; a better one might be “Does No Labels ever have a plan at all?”

I can't believe I forgot to make a post about Joe Lieberman. Not only was he a fantastic candidate but he was close to my community. I genuinely hope he rests in peace and we should remember and continue to fight for all he stood for.
