'Ghost Adventures' Turns It up to 11 When a Heavy Metal Rocker Arrives for the Haunt
By Michael Block - April 24, 2025
Tumblr media
Led by Zak Bagans, Discovery Channel's Ghost Adventures has been sending chills down viewers' spines since 2008.
Now, the crew is heading back to one of their most infamous haunts — the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California — a place so paranormally active, one visit just wasn’t enough. But this time, they’re bringing some serious backup: Korn frontman Jonathan Davis joins the investigation to crank the energy up to 11.
Zak, a longtime Korn fan and friend of Jonathan’s, previously gave the rocker a personal tour of his Haunted Museum in 2018 — so Jonathan is no stranger to the supernatural. Now, he’s officially stepping into the ghost-hunting ring.
The team first explored the Glen Tavern Inn in Season 7 with celebrity guests Brit Morgan and Mimi Page, where they conducted a séance and pulled tarot cards in search of answers within the inn’s eerie halls.
In this new episode, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley reunite at the historic hotel to help the staff find peace following the heartbreaking death of beloved in-house medium Patrick Smith. But with Jonathan in tow, this isn’t just a ghost hunt — it’s a full-blown paranormal encore.
'Ghost Adventures' Returns to Glen Tavern Inn
Tumblr media
After Zak experiences a premonitory dream during their investigation, he invites Jonathan and celebrated paranormal investigator Gary Galka to assist the team on their lockdown, as they delve deeper into the dark mysteries of the former gambling house.
In the preview for the episode, the rock star finds himself drawn to room 308's chair in the corner. While sitting there, he feels a weight on his shoulder, shaking him to his core.
But it gets deeper. He reveals that he had visions of women being tortured by very bad men. Zak tries the chair and has a similar palpitation as he feels a euphoric energy that makes him doubt reality. What is it that they found?
Glen Tavern Inn Has a Seedy and Haunted Past
Tumblr media
The Glen Tavern Inn is a famed haunted hotel built in 1911, established during the California Gold Boom. Its English Tudor-style architecture has housed a dark and seedy past, with an array of dreamers, drifters, and outlaws once inhabiting its halls.
Among the many stories inside are tales of prostitution and a murder during the time of prohibition. The hotel is steeped in chilling lore, including tales of a cowboy who was murdered after a dispute over pay, a beheaded prostitute, and a man named Henry who died by suicide.
During Ghost Adventures' first stint at the Glen Tavern Inn, Zak shocked viewers on the infamous third floor, which some fans have lovingly called the "Zak Bagans Lost In Time" room for the spell he was under during the Season 7 episode.
During Zak's trance, former star Nick Groff heard noises from outside the room as he attempted to enter. Now, the team is returning to the scene of the incident, but with more of an objective.
While the hotel is celebrated as a haunted site, this visit now holds deeper meaning for the individuals who work there. Hopefully the rock star's presence will help the Glen Tavern Inn's employees find the peace they need after their unfortunate loss.
Ghost Adventures airs Wednesday, April 30 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on the Discovery Channel. All episodes are available to stream on Max.

Kamaal Ibn John Fareed (born Jonathan William Davis on April 10, 1970), better known as Q-Tip, is a rapper, record producer, singer, actor, and DJ. He started his career in the late ’80s as an MC and a leading producer for the rap group A Tribe Called Quest. During the mid-’90s, he co-founded the production team The Ummah, which led to the release of his gold-certified solo album in 1999. In the 2000s, he released his second solo album, The Renaissance, which earned him a Grammy nomination.
A Tribe Called was the subject of a documentary called Beat Rhymes &Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest it gives an inside look into a part of the hip-hop genre that best defines me: the Native Tongue collection that was vibrant in the mid-‘90s. Aside from his music, Q-Tip has appeared in several films. He has also collaborated with several artists in hip-hop and soul. As a DJ, he has hosted Beats 1 and Abstract Radio since 2015. In 2016, he was named the artistic director of hip-hop culture at the Kennedy Center. In 2018, he became the instructor of hip-hop and jazz courses at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Q-Tip and the rest of A Tribe Called Quest recently released an album a few years ago. He has spread his wings by working with various artists throughout his career. Q-Tip misses his friend group member, Phife Dawg, but he still keeps his name alive. A Tribe Called Quest was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of  Fame last year. They are one of my favorite rap groups. They have released some essential hip-hop albums. Q-Tip is one of the most prominent rappers and producers in hip-hop today and is always on point.
