OC-tober/Inktober Day 5: OC With the Worst Music Taste

This is Jasper, one of the four cousins. (In my AU the player characters are all cousins who work as Police Officers in the Pure City) I feel like he definitely would have poor taste in music and even if he didn't he would purposefully listen to it just to annoy his cousins (especially Sandy)

That Color

The world around him always looked the same.

Sometimes it was black, others white and mostly grey. He never could tell the difference between yellow and green or red and orange.

But he could with blue.

The first time he saw it in that void, in the form of a small, shiny three-sided object, he fell in love with that color.

So eye-catching and bright.

And that was the only reason why he was obsessed with that color. The only one that stood out from that monotonous color palette around him.

That was until that encounter.

Another color, one that managed to stand out from the monotony. But very different from blue. Shiny, but not as calm and serene like blue, more like explosive and chaotic.

It wasn't as serious as blue, it was enjoyable.

Back then, he loved that color as much as blue. Despite how many say that pink was a cursed color, he found it fascinating.

That was until the incident.

Where things were never the same again.

Now he can't see the color pink without feeling like he was in danger. He can no longer see the color without feeling like the world is spinning, having phantom pains of his skin being burned, or having the urge of running away as far as possible.

He could no longer see the color without it bringing back memories of his last moments before he was killed.

He didn't even dare to touch any object painted with the color. Unconsciously, his body had learned to keep its distance from anything that could potentially hurt him.

It didn't matter if he was aware that it does not longer represent a danger. The wound was too deep to heal and with that the fear.

But despite everything, he still adored that color.

He couldn't help it. He just couldn't.

Everything was the same except those two colors. Blue and pink, both bright and shiny, two sides of the same coin.

He hoped that one day he could finally touch that fascinating color without fear nor despair.

See it again as an enjoyable, explosive and chaotic color.

JSAB MUSIC PLAYER

I saw a lot of "music player" keychain merch in a convention yesterday and tbh, i fw it hard, I love it so much I bought two of em.

So of course I spend the whole day drawing all of JSAB Boss levels in that, with the correct Music length too Yes. I did this in a day. Because I am insane and built different

Smiling Critters x Jsab Au

Sooooo- for anyone who doesn't know, I love jsab (Just Shapes and Beats) and since I like Smiling Critters too, I went on to do designs for them in a Jsab theme Au for em! It's still in development as I'm planning to include the rest of the toys in Poppy Playtime for the au as well! But have the main characters designs, which are the Smiling Critters!

To clarify

Dogday (P1), Hoppy(p2), Kickin(p3), and Crafty(p4) are the four main heroes of the story, in game known as the players.

Bobby (cube/sad boi), Bubba(Boat), and Picky(Heli) would pick the roles of the friends in the game.

While Catnap would be the main bad guy (Blixer).

That's all I have for now! As I mentioned, it's still in the works, I hope you like it :)

Hi there!! Was a big fan of jsab back then and got very excited when I realized 'TILL IT'S OVER was an actual OST and not a fan OST

Big fan of the skins... even if they aren't out yet.. John Doe as the main antag, and Elliot as the cube friend.. very awesome picks for these guys ngl...

when someone made a concept skin for 1x1x1x1 as the boss in the Barracuda level I had a neuron activation. Warning for slight spoilers for jsab's story mode??

c00lkidd could be the boss in Lycanthropy

Guest1337 could be the Boat friend,

Maybe Chance could be the square player?? With a reference to the final boss fight?? Because of gun.

No idea who could be the Helicopter friend. Wait. Maybe Two Time after their rework update. That lever scene in story mode always gets me.

On the other hand 7n7 could be a normal plant friend to parallel with c00lkidd as the Lycanthropy boss...

I had ideas for who could be the boss from La Danse Macabre (Noli) buuuuut. Uh. That might be three layers of references by then, no idea for the Spider Dance one too but same spot with La Danse Macabre for the amount of references..

I would go call the jsab characters with common fan names but it might be confusing for those who aren't even exposed to those..

working on some redesigns of my versions of some jsab characters! heli and sam were drawn in 2023 but i like the art too much to change/update them :] some notes:

pronouns! just so everyone knows what to refer them by

the player characters are the heroes, while the main characters are their caretakers!

cube will have a ctm + pre-ctm design at some point

heli and sam can revert into their "vehicle" forms, so they're not always humanoid!

bosses to come soon!

also tried to get a few different body types in here as well -- im still experimenting so feel free to suggest stuff!
