Judith and Chit are called to the lonely tower outside their city with little explanation. The one who summoned them is an old, elven wizard named Maleth, who will send them on a quest to lower their floating city of Arigale to where it once resided. Maleth is intrigued by Judith’s strange form of necromantic magic, yet he is also certain of the anxious young man in training to be a spear-man and scholar.

Judith, a bubbly yet mysterious young woman, is eager to accept. Chit remains withdrawn and cautious, a remnant of being raised by the Order that presides over their land. Soon, both discover their meeting with the wizard carried dire consequences. Can they accomplish what has been asked of them and save Arigale by exploring the land below, no matter the lengths they must go to?

A normal day in Gotham academy.

Damian being tired was an understatement. His bones were buzzing and with how much dizzy he felt. He would think drake had cursed him with sleep deprivation. Maybe it was contagious, he should stay away.

Being left alone in the classroom to sleep wasn't that surprising to him, jon was being helpful by keeping people away from him. If he could get sleep that is.... Someone then caught him off guard by placing a mug in front of him.

He lifted his head to look up. Ah.

"Judith, I don't drink coffee" Damian grumbled not even looking at what's inside the mug, only rubbing his eyes.

"It's not coffee Damian" Christel wasn't talking in her normal volume but was whispering. "It's Chamomile Tea, it calms the nervous system. It's good. Drink it"

Damian stared at the tea in silence "geez wayne. I didn't poison it, haven't we agreed that we are friend in some capacity?" Christel mumbled in a gentle way. Damian grumbled something inaudible before drinking the tea.

"...its nice.."

Christel smiled talking a seat besides him. After another awkward silence. Christel whispered back "I didn't really thank you did i?"

Damian glanced at her as he slurped his tea, she decided to continue "helping me with my witchcraft, agreeing to not tell Batman, having my back, rescuing me and helping me rescue my friends... Not only that.. You even helped with mundane things" Christel listed off. Damian has never really seen christel be so... Gentle with her face before.

"Cly told me that when I was kidnapped, before he took over my debate club for me. You stepped in for two days to manage the team and make sure they were okay to be under new authority" Christel stared at him "why?"

"Tsk isn't it obvious?" Damian started looking away from her. "Madam silver asked me to do so. Aside from you, I am also qualified for it. Your friend was simply not" Christel chuckled at his defensive stance. Damian frowned at her in confusion.

"Whatever is the reason... I am happy that you did that.. Thankful I mean" And there was it again. That faint blush christel bore on her cheeks ever since she was rescued, ever since he visited her in the hospital. It was subtle but it was there... It strangly looked pretty on her--

"You welcome" Damian cut off his own thoughts.

"You know... You help me so much... I wanna help too ya know?" Christel explained. "I don't really know how to with the whole... Superhero stuff... You are more qualified in that area" Christel looked away as Damian finished his tea. "But I want you to know, I am here."

It sounded cheesy, something Richard would tell damian but surprisingly it sounded comforting.

"Why are you telling me this now?" Damian passed her the mug. Christel took a deep breath before answering "that's because you have been tired lately, like somethings on your mind" Christel shrugged leaning against the bench.

They stayed silent again, before Damian said "I had a run in with Scarecrow, his gas to be specific. Since then, I have one question on my mind..." Damian stared at the mug in her hand. "How much blood does it take to be on your hand to make you a monster"

"Depends on who you are actually" Damian now glanced at her, waiting for her to explain. "Its... Hard to explain but if a person kills for others? If a person was born in a world of killing with no moral support? If a person had to kill to survive? Then the blood on their hands doesn't make them a monster, it makes them a bird inside a cage" Christel said what she thought.

That's what she thought huh---The bell rang, grabbing the duo's attention.

"What do we have now??" Christel asked. Damian grumbled "you have Information technology, I have history"

"Ohhhh, well we should get going" Christel was about to get up when Damian grabbed her right arm. Christel blinked looking at him.

"You said you wanted to pay me back correct? Then cheer for me during my Art Gallery" Damian asked, not really knowing himself why he was asking this.

Christel grinned as Damian felt... Something.

"Is that your way of asserting dominance back in the Art Gallery after the broken streak?" She chuckled before saying "fine Wayne, I will be the loudest cheerleader"

EVENT : emergency lockdown

With the island still under attack, all civilians (students, faculty, and island residents) have been assigned a location on the island to shelter in. Location assignments have been sent to each phone. Characters receive only their own assignments, not the entire list.

Most guards have been summoned to fight the attackers; a handful of NPC guards have been assigned to find and deliver lost civilians to their assigned shelters; all player character guards have received orders to collect supplies from designated emergency locations and proceed to an assigned shelter to protect civilians. Guards assigned to the shelters have a list of all civilians assigned to their shelter and are expected to check each of them off on arrival.

Another explosion has left half of the dormitory building collapsed, and the other half quickly following. Characters may have been in the building when it collapsed, and escape plots/injury plots are allowed!

The island is under attack by Delphine Delecaille. While the protections were down, Delphine and many of her people made it onto the island. Among the attackers is a massive purple dragon--characters may witness the dragon flying over the island, breathing fire, but should not come up against it. They may, however, encounter as many NPC attackers of various species as you please on their way to their shelter. Characters can fight and kill NPC attackers without consulting the main and without fear of consequences!

Speaking of journeys to their shelters, your character may take any roundabout journey you like to arrive there, so long as they do, eventually, arrive there. Late arrivals are allowed. Characters may spend up to two (2) days outside of the shelter. After they arrive at the shelter, they will not be allowed out, though characters with teleportation will not be bound.

Characters will not be allowed into shelters they are not assigned to, even in the name of staying with their loved ones assigned there.

While the island is under attack, cell phones on the island are misbehaving. Texts and calls are failing 9 out of 10 times.

The protective spells have been restored, but the binding spell in particular is acting up. Bound slaves may find they have access to their powers in short spurts of up to ten or fifteen minutes at a time.

From Arigale: Spite in the Spirit Ache “Chit! Can you hear me?” Judith yelled and gripped his shoulders so hard she almost ripped the material of his vest. This managed to get Chit to squint at her through the sweat and burning ache in his torso, yet he couldn’t seem to get enough air to speak. Judith’s eyes filled to the brim, but she didn’t even blink as the tears dried where they formed. Instead, her gaze darted from the weapon and bleeding wound to his face and back again. “Should I move you? Should I find someone and leave you still? We’re not far from the manor."

Grab The furious man grabbed Pearl’s wrist and pushed her up against Judith’s bubble shield, still protecting the two as Chit trembled. Rahat moved a step closer before he witnessed Drake shove the man back. Pearl rubbed at her wrist and stared with more fury, but then he threw Drake to the side like a heavy sack in an instant so he could grab Pearl by the shoulders. The difference in their lives showed in how his muscles easily shook her against the bubble in his frustration. Judith dropped the bubble. As the light was shifting from pink to blue in her crystal, a shot rang out and the man’s grip loosened before he fell to the floor, causing Pearl to topple over as well as she had been raised clear off her feet. “Senseless.” She panted and tried to raise herself, but only managed to get her upper half partially off the cold floor.

Darkness Her head raised, and she shut her eyes a moment. There was nothing but silence and darkness. No colorful lights she could feel the warmth of, and no voices of those dear remained for her. It felt like an endless tunnel she couldn’t avoid, and her spirit shrunk at the thought. Maleth’s words still echoed out the other side, and soon enough, she was brought to herself again when Chit’s tail wrapped around her. His eyelids were heavy, from exhaustion or concern she couldn’t tell, but he forced up an awkward smile. Judith stared a moment at the uneven attempt and tiny twitch at the higher corner of his deeply blue lips.

The pair left, chatting all the way as Sheila stole a few looks back behind her, each with an increasing grin. Chit stretched out by the trees and breathed in deep. Soon as his eyes had shut, he heard a rustling near his head in the grass. Purple crossed his vision as he squinted to find Judith scooting closer. He kept one eye open while the sunlight gently ebbed away beyond the water’s edge. There was a box in her lap that her hands kept patting. She donned the biggest smile he’d seen on her since they met. Judith squeaked and lifted the box in both hands. “Oh, I can’t wait anymore!” She pushed the box from her lap onto his stomach. “Open!” “W-What? What’s this?” He sat up in a daze from the breath she pushed out of him. “A gift!” Judith clapped.
