This was the final episode of The Great North I worked on. I had such a great time, and I love how the episodes turned out. Loving my time at Wonder Wharf, but I'll always remember the good times in Lone Moose.
Not proud of this one at all, but I’d never drawn fanart of The Great North yet at all and I wanted to right that wrong before the new ep comes out so... Yeah subpar first try
Bob/Beef: Spend the Episode hanging out on the boat fishing. Bob is unprepared for how rigorous the work is. Teddy video calls Bob and he and Beef hit it off.
Linda/Wolf-HunnyBee: Go on a 'wine tour' of lone moose. Linda meets Alyson and they know each other from way back and do NOT get along.
Tina/Judy: Just teenage hormones. Boy watching. Girl watching. No drama. Just boarder line too much thirst. Maybe. MAYBE they kiss. Judy's already shown to be bi-curious and i believe in LGBTina in my soul.
Gene/Ham: Cook/Bake together and come up with a new confectionary treat to celebrate the families meeting. Crispin shows up and is unsure of Genes energy.
Louise/Moon: Louise wants to learn traps and tracking. Moon teaches her and is surprised/almost jealous at how well she picks it all up.
I dont know how all this would tie into a cohesive episode or 2 part episode. But i think at least this is how the pairings would go. I hope Santiago and Mayor Peppers would make appearances too.
Besides having a very loving and supportive father, Judy’s future husband came to support her too!
(This came from me making a joke to my sister while watching this episode that Gill would later on be Judy’s loving and supportive husband when they got older.)
How I feel about this character: I personally thought Judy was one of the most annoying characters when I started the show, but I grew to love her. I also am an artistic soul with very little tolerance for criticism. I'm just missing her competitive streak.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Judy/Gill, Judy/Kima, or Judy/Eli (her swapped prom date from the S3 finale)
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Judy/Kima or Judy/Ham. They're such good friends/Alaskan twins.
My unpopular opinion about this character: Judy should get a romantic interest who's reoccurring, like they did for Ham and Crispin
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: The family should have sucked it up and told Judy they did not like her pottery creations. Especially the ceramic clothing.
My OTP: Judy/Gill (sue me, he should get the girl)
Gonna ramble about something from the latest The Great North episode that just won't leave my head...
That episode absolutely nailed that thing of how bullying comes out of nowhere and from people you thought you were safe with, and leaves you confused and forever nervous in ways that are impossible to ignore.
In middle school, kids from my elementary school, who had been harmless until then and who I had to carpool with, decided to turn the whole school against me which launched four years of hell, and now almost in my 30s I'm still racking my brain daily wondering what exactly was the Wrong Thing with me that triggered it.
On my first day I had a bag with a rainbow on the handle which I thought was cute. I've always wondered if it was because of that bag. So Judy's rainbow T shirt hit me like a ton of bricks.
kevin having a Me And The Bad Bitches I Pulled By Being Autistic [The Aforementioned Bad Bitches Are Also Autistic] moment
any No Fun Nancy: "i only like crossovers if they make some kind of sense otherwise they're cringe"
me: "that's stupid i like crossovers when they're like this 😌"
setting a new standard for emotional support weirdos w/this one. if your fictional friendgroups arent at least half as unhinged as this you need to get crazier. all the weezer memes out there have NOTHING on me!!! babey!!!
