Throughout the eighteenth century, the silhouette of a woman's dress was formed with a corset or a pannier. In order to push up the bust for a feminine outline, the [stays were] framed with pieces of whalebone. First appearing in the early eighteenth century, the pannier became a mandatory item for court dress up until the time of the French Revolution. As the skirt widened in the mid-eighteenth century, the pannier was modified and split into left and right halves. Such huge panniers frequently became the subject of caricatures.

So if I control an inspiring statuary and a Krark clan Ironworks, and I would like to cast for example a smothering tithe, can I tap an artifact for improvise then sacrifice that same artifact for KCI's mana ability to make my 3 colorless "mana"?
No, this doesn't work.
When you're casting a spell, you have to generate mana for the spell before you begin paying its cost. This means that the artifact will have already been sacrificed to KCI for mana by the time you can tap other artifacts to help pay with Improvise.

I had my first Downtown Little Rock Partnership Board of Directors meeting today. As soon as it was over, I went back to the office to get a couple of things done, then I raced to the airport to catch a 3pm flight to Kansas City, but when I got there I realized I'd booked a flight for the wrong day. I ended up switching airlines and making it to Kansas City much later than I'd anticipated. Then it took me 45 minutes to get an Uber to Overland Park. While waiting, I realized I hadn't taken a picture today, so I snagged a selfie. I wish I had just planned to drive my truck because I would have gotten there four or five hours earlier. Blarg.
