Jack is really cold, and I mean really. You could put 4 heaters on him, and he wouldn't break a sweat, but it would be uncomfortable for him (like I said, he hates the heat but will crave it from you if you're dating him)

Sleeps like a mf TANK. He will be out cold and won't wake up until at least 9 hours later, unless his intuition says there's something wrong

Sorry for the awful structure in the text but i originally wrote it in spanish at 3am when autism was taking over me.

I mean, I like Katherine, but Denton covers her role better simply because he has more logical reasons to cover the strike (its literally his job, no job = no money, no money = die) and somehow i feel that hes closer to the Newsies in terms of social class and can sympathyze easier with all the strike stuff. Also, in my opinion Katherine as a romantic interest doesn't fit due to the huge difference in social classes, specially taking in account how strongly social classes were divided in the 1800s, like, why would she even pay attention to Jack???. Also, Jack doesnt need a romantic interest, first because his character works without having one, and second because what he longed for was a family, which ended up being the newsies, especially Crutchie (2017) or Race (1992) who were kind of brothers to him.

It's not that I hate Katherine, but I feel like they created a subplot with Jack and Katherine’s story that strayed too far from the main theme (the strike) and is poorly connected to the subplot (Jack and Santa Fe) because let’s be honest, Jack stayed in New York for the newsies, not for Katherine, (you just don’t give up on a lifelong dream for a girl you met 3 days ago, almost hits you, blatantly invaded your privacy and lied to your face) Jack stayed because he realized that the newsies were his family. Katherine’s subplot doesn’t contribute much to the development of the story and it’s not that entertaining either, it’s literally an average love story. I really don't know how to explain it but they handled it way better in the movie, Denton, a professional journalist wanted to cover the strike because it was happening and said "hell yeah work and payment" and his role in the movie was literally that, to be the journalist, even the scene where Denton resigns from covering the strike its more interesting to watch (Pulitzer threatened to fire him and Denton had no choice but to listen to him, because as much as he cared about the cause he couldn't lose his job, the stakes were higher and that makes you care more about Denton). Now speaking of love interests, Sarah, I didn't like much how the romance between Jack and her developed because I feel it was very rushed and with very little interaction, but despite that it works because Sarah is just a supporting character, not an unnecessary subplot that totally changes the theme of the musical making it not end up delving well into you. Also, Sarah, along with David and Les, introduced Jack to the concept of family, so to a certain extent it makes more sense for Jack to stay with Sarah because she did something significant for him, even if it wasn't directly. I feel like they only brought Katherine in to have more female representation and somehow fit two characters into one in order to speed things up. Plus, the plot twist of Katherine being Pulitzer's daughter was waaaaay too cliché and predictable. Despite that, I really like Katherine and feel she could have been written SO much better.

TDLR: Any journalist could cover the strike without making as much of a fuss as Katherine and Jacks fine being single.
