with a name that literally means "lion's head (legion)", you can find some sort of animal in each of shishitoren members' last names

basically Jō and Chōji are literally the tortoise and the hare of wind breaker.. cute

what's your headcanons on the windbreaker characters and their ideal types?

Oof that's a tough one, because I like to believe that you can fall in love with someone that isn't your type, but you find this certain connection with them. But I'll try my best 🤞🤞

Wind Breaker characters' "ideal type"

Haruka Sakura - sporty and passionate; because of his drive for fighting it would need to be someone who understands the passions and even better if they share it; someone ready to throw anything at any moment and run to you if needed, really dependable that you can tell all your secrets to;

Akihiko Nirei - nice and confident; someone who'd pump him up, his personal cheerleader, being the sweetest and nicest person known in town with such a lovable voice and words coming out of you, but when he is self-hating knowing just the way to change their words to firm and confident making sure he knows how loved he is;

Hayato Suou - kinda tsundere; someone not keen on PDA and easily flustered by it, and someone who likes discussing things - able to talk with Suou for hours on end about the topics that are interesting to both of them;

Kyotaro Sugishita - "big sibling" type; taking care of everyone and making sure he's part of the group, always making him feel included and sometimes making him socialize with others, even people he seems to hate (Sakura);

Mitsuki Kiryu - gamer; confident in skills and ready to throw hands if someone insults them or boyfriend, someone who looks sweet but in reality has a sharp tongue and can win any argument;

Taiga Tsugeura - someone who likes to take care of themselves; doesn't necessarily mean thin, but someone who likes to spend time making sure they are healthy, maybe someone having these daily trackers that they prepare to have better time management;

Kotoha Tachibana - playful but responsible; someone who gets shit done but is so playful about it, teasing and laughing every second they can, easily convinced to help and sometimes taking too much on their shoulders, struggling to finish things;

Hajime Umemiya - caring and extroverted; giving pieces of advice to everyone and surprisingly ready to help others with school work, touchy - meaning they love PDA and hugging, they would be the perfect duo, to help each other whenever the other one struggles or has some bad days;

Toma Hiiragi - street smart and brave; being tangled in enough trouble to elevate some stress off him, when they help other students solve issues, but also to be able to make his blood pumping and belly ache while causing just enough of the aforementioned trouble;

Ren Kaji - understanding and music fan; someone who would understand his issues and help him through them, being very supportive, also someone who likes different kinds of music to talk to him about it;

Takeshi Enomoto - stylish and a fan of Japanese history; someone who readers too much mafia/yakuza au!, or stories and would like to spend evenings watching action movies, someone who likes fashion and can spend too much time trying to find the perfect outfit for the two of them;

Yuto Kusumi - animal lover; someone who loves animals and loves taking care of them, maybe someone trying to become a veterinary or someone spending their time helping neighbours and shelters with animals, very empathetic and emotional;

Tasuku Tsubakino - open-minded and friendly; someone who gains trust easily and is friendly with everyone they meet, someone that has no problem with the different hobbies of Tasuku and easily supports their every move;

Seiryu Sakaki - pretty/handsome and popular, someone interested in skincare and makeup, very eye-catching and bringing others' attention to them, someone who easily follows along his pranks;

Uryu Sakaki - curious and someone who likes to eat and try new dishes; spending time searching through internet looking for new restaurants and food booths maybe even recipes to try with him;

Choji Tomiyama - complete opposite of him, meaning looks like they could kill you is a cinnamon roll; someone who people could mistake as the leader, like with Togame, but really they are all smiles and ready for cuddles, probably couldn't hurt anyone, only if they were really angry;

Jo Togame - kuudere- popular and disinterested; surprisingly very popular because of their "cool" behaviour, but they are simply disinterested in most things, when others talk to them or while others ask for help, but their loving boyfriend, that can make smile bloom on their face and somehow can interest them in anything he likes;

Kota Sako - someone who has sweet tooth; with his love for sweets it would need to be someone who also doesn't mind going to try sweets every now and then, maybe even someone who takes photos of said food and shows it off on their social media;

Minoru Kanuma - teasing and confident; being the 'comedic relief character' for everyone when they are annoyed by teasing the shit out of them in funny way but also not hurting their feeling in the process;

Yukinari Arima - loving and easily flustered; someone who adores being his centre of attention, even seeking it out, but also being easily flushed the moment he touches them or calls them with endearment;

Teruomi Inugami - equally joyful but more calm; someone who loves the puppy energy of his and hypes him up even more, although they look calm they are excited to spend every minute with him;

WIND BREAKER, Episode 5 - A GENTLEMAN

Wind Breaker Episode 5 Review - Suo Steals The Episode

The fight between Furin and Shishitoren begins! This episode starts off with the rather “easier” fights in terms of difficulty. Sugishita one-shots Arima despite the latter using an underhanded tactic. The second half of the episode is basically Suo vs Kanuma, which is basically THE scene of the episode. Sorry, Sugishita, it’s Suo’s time to shine.

The Sugishita fight ends rather quickly, but it’s understandable because Sugishita and Sakura are on par. If Sakura is strong to the point that Togame is interested in fighting him, then it makes absolute sense that Sugishita would only see Arima as a fly that needs to be swatted. Rather than the results, the Sugishita vs Arima fight proves something within Shishitoren (Lion’s Head): their group is a rather diabolical one and that there really is a major problem within. It makes absolute sense when Tomiyama was more interested in wanting to fight Sugishita and never once checking up on Arima; he even called his fallen comrade “that” as if he’s some piece of litter. Ouch. Though, I’m glad that Sugishita is getting praised by Umemiya because he’s his idol. That part was super cute!

The Suo vs Kanuma fight was the highlight of the episode. It stole the episode to the point that Suo and his quote “stairway to adulthood” trended on Twitter in Japan. That’s when you know a character is the scene stealer. I think what makes this fight so intriguing is because we actually get to see Suo fight for the first time. Characters always say that he’s strong and such but he was never seen throwing hands as much as Sakura, Sugishita, Hiiragi and Umemiya. This is why Suo stole the show because the viewers are seeing him in fight mode for the first time! What’s even cooler is that he’s not even using his full strength in this match. He didn’t even punch or kick his opponent so hard. He was just stalling and toying with him to the point that they had to call the match off, but Suo was clearly the winner. Tomiyama was even interested in fighting Suo and gave zero fucks about Kanuma.

Suo’s fighting style is more refined compared to the usual street-brawl punches and kicks that the other characters mainly use. His fighting style resembles martial arts in a sense. I’m not sure if he’s super strong, but he seems to specialize in self-defense which he uses as an offensive counter-attacks to deflect Kanuma’s attacks. Like with Suo’s mysterious aura, his fighting style is to trick his opponents and to toy with them. Essentially, he’s basically a chip damage dealer. His attack may be low, but the consecutiveness deals more damage and the longer the attacks keep hitting, the more you have to wait until it’s over. Basically, it’s like having a Pokemon with the Skill Link ability; I got reminded of my Cinccino with Skill Link in my current Pokemon White 2 play through and how he’s not particularly strong attack wise, but giving him moves that do consecutive damage makes him a lot more formidable in a way. I think the wait for a move to finish is more torturous in a way, and that’s why Suo’s fighting style is rather the same.

There’s actually a lot not known about Suo. They say he’s strong, but who he fought against and what school he went to before going to Furin are all unknown. He’s full of mystery in a way. I’ve got some theories about Suo. First, he’s either an old man stuck in a teen’s body and that the eyepatch is hiding wrinkles. Either that, or Suo isn’t his actual name and that it’s a name that is passed down from his predecessors; the tassel earrings could be an heirloom that all Suos wear and since he is the current Suo, he’s donning them. The eyepatch is probably hiding like a proof of what generation of Suo he is? He did joke about how it’s like a seal of power, so that could be it…

The Shishitoren base is in an abandoned theater, which actually fits their group dynamic as they view fights as entertainment. Next week is definitely going to be Hiiragi vs Sako and Sakura vs Togame. Will they stick them both in one episode or will the Hiiragi vs Sako fight take the entire episode and then the Sakura vs Togame fight takes another episode and then Umemiya vs Tomiyama will take Episode 8? Hm… What are your thoughts on the episode formats?

He teases you trying to throw it away and when you pout at him and call him names in this pouty voice of yours he smirks before moving to you and making you say what you really want because the soda tab is not enough, he wants to hear you say you need his kisses.

Doesn't have an idea about it and searches it in google to get to know what to do

After checking out the Internet and getting to know what it means he (she) will start collecting the soda tabs always keeping one on him (her) to give you whenever he (she) wants a kiss. It could be the most random time and he (she) will take out the tab and give it to you asking for a kiss.

Hiiragi, Kotoha, Enomoto, Arima

Doesn't have an idea about it and needs you to explain it

He carefully listens to you explaining the stuff, and when he receives the kiss from you he will go get a soda can and try his best to get the tab off, because he wants another kiss. After trying unsuccessfully, he will tell you to just say the next time you want a kiss because it surely took some effort to get the soda tab with the middle part intact, and you don't need to trouble yourself like that.

Sugishita, Sakura, Tsugeura, Kaji, Kanuma

Doesn't have an idea about it and throws it away just to search through the bin when you tell him what it's for

When he finally finds the tab he comes to you and asks for a kiss he deserves in exchange for the thing. He spends hours learning how to get it off correctly, so he can give it to you for more kisses from you in return. He gets irritated whenever he fails and you need to listen to it for hours.
