Nobility shouldn't work with their hands.
It was an expectation placed on Kedron, just like all the others. Expectations he never asked for. Responsibilities he never wanted.
All because of a power he never wanted.
He sat outside of his estate, using a small knife to carve details into a small wooden figure.
A small figure of a dog.
He turned it over in his hands - marking one of the dog's hind paws with a symbol as a signature, then held the item out to the first person to walk past.
"Take it."

Written by: Danielle Monique – Wednesday 3 & Thursday 4 May 2023 Based on characters planned by DL and R6 **They’ve made it to the Amethyst Palace. Also, heads on sticks.** * * * * * 7. Face To Face. @elementalnight
" Greetings, sir. "
There was something odd about the words; despite the direct meaning being a polite greeting, they were monotone and empty, and perhaps even stranger was the individual who spoke them. Cloaked in black, the figure's features were not visible, not exactly like a plague doctor, but similar perhaps.
" I am but a traveler who seeks to do good for the world when able; to bring supplies, to help with mundane tasks, to fight for those in need, to mend those who are injured. "
The words were quiet, somber even. Perhaps being dressed in a color commonly associated with mourning was no accident.
" Is there any help I can offer to you or your people? "

John 18:1–3
My translation:
1 After saying these things Yeshua went out with his disciples across the winter-flow of the Kedron where a garden was, into which he himself went in and his disciples. 2 And Yehudas, the one giving him over, knew the place, for Yeshua many times gathered there with his disciples. 3 Yehudas, therefore, taking the cohort and attendants of the chief priests and of the Pharisees, comes there with torches and lamps and instruments of war.
Notes:
18:1
The substantival near-demonstrative pronoun ταῦτα, probably referring to the prayer of chapter 17 or perhaps of all of chapters 14–17, is the direct object of the 2nd aorist participle εἰπὼν. The participle is temporal-antecedent with the main verb ἐξῆλθεν below.
Ἰησοῦς is the subject of the 2nd aorist ἐξῆλθεν (from ἐξέρχομαι), which is modified by the associative prepositional phrase σὺν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ.
The hapax legomenon ὁ χείμαρρος is from χεῖμα “winter” + ῥέω “flow”, referring to a ravine in which water flows in the wintertime; EGGNT: “wadi”; NASB: “ravine”; most other translations: “valley”. The adverb πέραν functions as a preposition, taking genitive object τοῦ χειμάρρου. τοῦ Κεδρὼν is an epexegetical genitive (“the wadi of Kedron” = “the Kedron wadi”). The phrase introduced by πέραν modifies ἐξέρχομαι above.
ὁ κῆπος (5x) is, “garden” (cf. ὁ κηπουρός “gardener” in 20:15). κῆπος is the subject of the imperfect ἦν (from εἰμί), rendered impersonally in English: “there was a garden”. The clause introduced by the spatial particle ὅπου modifies ἐξέρχομαι above.
κῆπος is the antecedent of the relative pronoun ὃν. The prepositional phrase εἰς ὃν modifies the 2nd aorist εἰσῆλθεν (from εἰσέρχομαι); prefixed verbs are often found with the preposition repeated. αὐτὸς, referring to Jesus, is the subject of the verb; the verb is singular even though the subject is expanded with καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.
18:2
δὲ introduces background information (“Now”, most translations).
The subject of the pluperfect ᾔδει (from οἶδα; plupf. form with imp. sense) is Ἰούδας, in apposition to which stands the substantival present participle ὁ παραδιδοὺς (from παραδίδωμι): “Judas, the one giving him over”; NASB: “Judas ..., who was betraying Him”. Translation with the English past tense (“who betrayed him”, most other translations) does not accord with the present participle. αὐτὸν, referring to Jesus, is the direct object of the participle. τὸν τόπον is the direct object of οἶδα. καὶ is adjunctive (“also”).
ὅτι is causal.
The adverb πολλάκις (18x) is, “many times, often, frequently” (BDAG), from πολύς + suffix -κις indicating multiples. πολλάκις modifies the aorist passive συνήχθη (from συνάγω) whose subject is Ἰησοῦς. The passive-voice of the verb is intransitive. The verb is modified by the locative adverb ἐκεῖ and the associative prepositional phrase μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ. μετὰ is indistinguishable from σὺν (v. 1).
18:3
οὖν could be transitional (“then”, NASB) or inferential (“so”, most other translations).
ὁ Ἰούδας is the subject of the main verb ἔρχεται below.
ἡ σπεῖρα (7x) refers to a Roman “cohort” of 600 soldiers, the tenth part of a legion (BDAG). EGGNT suggests the term here more likely refers to a “maniple” of 200 soldiers. The article indicates that this was the standing garrison at Jerusalem. τὴν σπεῖραν καὶ ... ὑπηρέτας (“officers”; see note on 7:32) is the compound direct object of the 2nd aorist participle λαβὼν (from λαμβάνω). The prepositional phrase ἐκ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων modifies ὑπηρέτας denoting source (“officers [sent] from the chief priests and the Pharisees”); ἐκ = ἀπό (ZG). The participle λαβὼν is temporal-antecedent with the historical present ἔρχεται (from ἔρχομαι). The verb is modified by the locative adverb ἐκεῖ.
The hapax legomenon ὁ φανός, from φαίνω “I shine”, refers to ‘a portable light’, i.e., “a lamp, lantern” (BDAG).
ἡ λαμπάς (9x) is, “lantern, lamp”, from λάμπω (7x) “I shine”. BDAG says that the pairing φανοί and λαμπάδοι means “lanterns and torches” (so most translations).
τό ὅπλον (6x) is, “instrument”, context determining whether it means “tool” or, as here, “weapon”. The prepositional phrase μετὰ φανῶν καὶ λαμπάδων καὶ ὅπλων modifies ἔρχομαι above.

There are rumblings of unrest in Crouzith - and the politics in the kingdom are complicated.
Several recent rulers have died without heirs, often having been murdered.
Kedron is aware of these issues, and the potential dangers of violent unrest.
Yet the lands he rules over are spared, and not because he is an Elementalist.
Kedron focuses on transparency - he wants to ensure proper recordkeeping and be certain that people aren't overworked and are given proper wages. It cuts into potential profits, but has endeared the elf to the people he rules over.

Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus
1 When Jesus had said these things, He went forth with His disciples across the brook Kedron, where there was a garden, into which He entered as well as His disciples.
2 And Judas also, who was betraying Him, knew the place, for Jesus often gathered there with His disciples.
3 Then Judas, having gotten the cohort and some attendants from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with torches and lamps and weapons.
4 Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom do you seek?
5 They answered Him, Jesus the Nazarene. He said to them, I am. And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them.
6 When therefore He said to them, I am, they drew back and fell to the ground.
7 Then again He asked them, Whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus the Nazarene.
8 Jesus answered, I told you that I am; if therefore you seek Me, let these go away,
9 That the word might be fulfilled which He spoke, Of those whom You have given Me, I have not lost one.
10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear; and the slave’s name was Malchus.
11 Jesus therefore said to Peter, Put the sword into its sheath. Mordred Le Fay the young version and older version of my Mordred and her dragon Kedron. They both look absolutely intimating in the older version, but Mordred is a big sweet crybaby 🥲 and Kedron is still a big shy guy. Both Mordred and Arthur get comfort from their dragons' in a similar way.
Kedron is just baffled on how can Mordred like Galahad🤣.
But I truly love the Mordred I made for in my playthrough a shy crybaby with an intelligent mind. Anyways the rest of the drawings are doodles.
