This iteration of the ensemble will feature the incredible players Angharad Davies (violin, viola), Emilia Agajew (harp), Tim Parkinson (piano), Simon Hanes (acoustic guitar, bass) and Adam Morris (drums and percussion) with JG Thirlwell on vocals. Opening act is a special duo set from Microcorps (Alexander Tucker) & Kenichi Iwasa.

The path on the performance overall is very, very bleak, labyrinthic and at times chaotic and nomadic. The instrumental lines are always moving, trudging along, barely forcing their way through existence. There aren’t any "amicable" movements on “Space Hospital Engine Room”, but rather we have a psychedelic borderline carved into the frame of a slow-paced journey.  The emotions on the album are hard to grasp as they have a perceptible air of madness and in homogeneity but theare, in some moments, slowed down to the point of an opiate-induced crawl. The evolving state of the music and the improvised abrasive lines perfectly capture an hidden world clinging to jagged ruinous landscapes that lie in the wake of an imminent cataclysm.

Hey, what do you know? Life found a way! Rhythm-centric mad scientist Beatrice Dillon has just announced her debut solo album for PAN. And, much like those engineered animals on Jurassic Park, it’s a friggin’ MONSTER. Recorded over 2017-2019 in London, Berlin, and New York, Workarounds is part UK club skronk, part Afro-Caribbean experimentalism, and ALL GROOVE — mixing “meticulous FM synthesis and harmonics with crisply edited acoustic samples,” all at a “fixed 150bpm tempo.” It also features the likes of Kuljit Bhamra, Laurel Halo, Batu, Untold, Kadialy Kouyate, Jonny Lam, Verity Susman, Kenichi Iwasa, Lucy Railton, Petter Eldh, James Rand, and Morgan Buckley — AND was mixed by James Rand and mastered by Rashad Becker. Becker & Mukai - Time Very Near - a genre stew from two multi-instrumentalists (SaS Recordings)

Parisian cinema composer Jean-Gabriel Becker is best known for idiosyncratic soundscapes, whilst Susumu Mukai is a world-renowned Japanese composer and multi- instrumentalist. Together they’ve created fresh new music that floats effortlessly above traditional genre delineation, with a dubbed-out and experimental melange of modern acid house, post punk, global grooves and clattering beats. Still not complying to genres, ‘Time Very Near’ is their tentacular new album, which gathers sounds and inspiration from an ever-expanding palette of influences, assembled into something amorphously intangible that’s simultaneously refreshing and sharp, meandering and cosmic, futuristic but timelessly vintage.
