Anakin huffed out a laugh, the sound warm and amused beside him. “Don’t worry Master. I’ll remind you how it’s done.”

Obi-Wan shot him a glance. “And just what is that supposed to mean?” he drawled, even though he knew very well. He did so dislike flying, though he knew he was a competent pilot; he had long practice and the Force to guide him on.

Naturally, to Anakin, a competent pilot was the equivalent of a boring pilot. The familiar humour felt somehow comfortable after all these years, even if flying distinctly didn’t—something constant and enduring even with the galaxy in turmoil around them.

“Oh, you know,” Anakin said with a shrug. “Just that you spend so much time in your fancy new Council seat these days, you’ve probably forgotten how to fly.”

Or, early in the war, Obi-Wan thinks about his friendship with his former Padawan.
