I will miss these moments says Vettel after last-lap Magnussen pass earns him P7 in Austin
Driver of The Day Sebastian Vettel evidently enjoyed his drive to seventh place in the United States, where the Aston Martin driver battled back into the points after a slow pit stop. Vettel had a terrific start, making up five places to run P5 amid the chaos on the opening lap – where Carlos Sainz was spun out of the race by George Russell – before going long on his first stint. The four-time champion even led his 3,500th lap in Formula 1 before pitting, but a slow stop saw him drop down the order. MONDAY MORNING DEBRIEF: Why Verstappen's win owed as much to clever tyre management as raw pace After battling Kevin Magnussen on the way back to eighth, which became seventh when Fernando Alonso was hit with a 30s post-race penalty, Vettel said: “Yeah, obviously we lost some points [because of the slow pit stop] but I had some more fun at the end, at least. I knew Kevin would be a difficult one, so I was very fair and you know, gave him the room that you need to give, but he was very fair in return and yeah, just left me enough room. “As I said, I knew it was going to be tight and he would not leave a lot – just enough – and I used that. It was good fun and obviously another sort of strong finish at the very end.” With retirement looming, Vettel was inevitably asked whether his brilliant drive to P7 – his best finish since Round 6 when he finished sixth in Azerbaijan – tempted him to reconsider bowing out from F1. “No, not like that,” he replied, “but obviously I will miss these moments, miss the adrenaline in places like Suzuka, the adrenaline rush around there – like today, the racing, battling with the others right on the limit, and beyond the limit to be fair. READ MORE: Verstappen dedicates record-equalling victory and constructors' title to late Red Bull co-founder Mateschitz “Yeah, that will be missed, but on the other hand obviously I thought about that in advance and I look forward to what’s coming next,” concluded Vettel. Having claimed six points in the USA and 20 from the Singapore-Japan double-header, Aston Martin are just one point off Alfa Romeo in the fight for sixth in the standings, with three races remaining in 2022. via Formula 1 News https://www.formula1.com

Now that Roe v. Wade is overturned, one of the few choices you still have left is Eff-Urself! A foolproof way to guarantee you’ll never need an abortion… which is actually eff-ed up. … Made for the National Network Of Abortion Funds, Eff-Urself is a parody product and film that satirically exposes the lack of choices Americans with a uterus have left for protecting their bodies and reproductive health. It speaks to the unjust manner in which wombs are being treated by politicians, and the absurd lengths people might have to go, to avoid getting pregnant in one of the riskiest times. … Eff-Urself is a non-solution to the overturning of Roe v. Ethereum NFT project Doodles made a pair of significant announcements at an event hosted alongside the NFT NYC conference tonight, revealing that musician and producer Pharrell Williams will join the project and that it has raised its first round of funding led by venture capital firm Seven Seven Six. Williams, who recently entered the NFT space with his own Gallery of Digital Assets (GODA) project, will join Doodles as Chief Brand Officer. In his new role, Williams will help shape the collection’s approach to music, artwork, consumer products, animation, and events. "I'm a big fan of the brand," said Williams in a pre-recorded video message at the event. "We're going to build from the core community outward and bring Doodles to new heights, new levels." Additionally, he will serve as executive producer on an album of Doodles-inspired music called "Doodles Records: Volume 1," which will be released in partnership with Columbia Records. The album will include “major recording artists,” per a Doodles spokesperson, and feature artwork from Doodles artist Scott “Burnt Toast” Martin. https://twitter.com/doodles/status/1539444678642352129 The Doodles album will be available to stream via various platforms, but will only be sold via NFTs. According to the representative, the Doodles album NFT will also be bundled with additional, as-yet-unspecified NFT collectibles. Alongside the news around Williams, the creators of Doodles also announced that Seven Seven Six, the VC firm of Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, led a funding round in the project. It’s the first capital raise for Doodles. In a pre-recorded video message shown at the event, Ohanian said that Seven Seven Six plans to work with the Doodles team to "take all the work they've done so far and bring it to another level, scale it even further." Seven Seven Six co-founder Katelin Holloway will join Doodles' board, along with Williams. The funding amount was not disclosed. At the event, the creators also announced Doodles 2, a new NFT collection that will span millions of avatars—up from 10,000 in the original collection—and feature a wider array of traits along with wearable items. The avatars will not be released on Ethereum, but the team did not announce which blockchain the new collection will release on. Doodles launched in October 2021 and has since gone on to become one of the most valuable NFT collections on the market. To date, it has generated nearly $500 million in secondary trading volume, per data from CryptoSlam. Doodles recently introduced former Billboard President Julian Holguin as CEO. An NFT works like a proof of ownership for an item, and it’s typically used for digital goods such as unique profile pictures (like Doodles), as well as artwork, collectibles, and video game items. Seven Seven Six previously invested in Moonbirds, an Ethereum NFT collection that launched this spring to immense buzz. Moonbirds hails from the PROOF Collective, a Web3 startup from serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist Kevin Rose, and it raised $10 million from Seven Seven Six. Ohanian, a vocal NFT advocate and collector of projects including CryptoPunks and the Bored Ape Yacht Club, has previously announced Web3 co-investment initiatives with both Solana and Polygon. https://nftdawn.io/william-pharrell-will-join-doodles-as-chief-brand-officer/?feed_id=591&_unique_id=62b2d215cd757

Pointe Magazine Article: Collage Dance Collective Presents Diverse Works for New Audiences in Memphis
Date: July 16, 2020
By: Shaté L. Edwards
With scores from Tchaikovsky to Aretha Franklin and dancers from French Guiana to Brazil, Collage Dance Collective is as rich in variety and culture as its local community. Establishing roots in Memphis, Tennessee, known for its blues and civil rights history, was an intentional move, says artistic director and co-founder Kevin Thomas. He moved the company there from New York City in 2007, just one year after its inception. "We felt like it was the perfect place to grow."
Company History
Before he became a director, Thomas had an impressive career performing with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, San Jose Cleveland Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem, as well as making guest appearances with The Royal Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. He formed Collage in 2006, with executive director Marcellus Harper, after he self-produced a series of works while on hiatus with DTH. With a grant and a successful debut under their belts, Thomas and the company set out for Memphis to fulfill its mission.
Collage's goal is to present more dancers of color on professional ballet stages and to grow audiences that include more people of color. "Everything I do is because of that," notes Thomas, recalling how seeing dancers who looked like him, like Lauren Anderson and Ronald Perry, inspired his own career and the company's mission. "You need to see yourself," he says.
Training and Outreach
In 2009, Collage continued its efforts to grow a diverse ballet culture in Memphis by launching the Collage Conservatory, which now has more than 240 students and 250-plus participants in its outreach programs. "It's important for us to be in as many communities as possible where this kind of training is not accessible," says Thomas. For those in its outreach programs, Thomas proudly shares that Collage is often their first experience with ballet. Full conservatory scholarships are offered to the most promising community students.
Repertoire
Many of Collage's first-time attendees connect with the stories portrayed onstage, the music or the dancers. "It's an interesting journey we're taking the audience on," says Thomas, speaking of the classical and contemporary ballet, narratives and new creations that make up its rep. "We're presenting ballets they can relate to."
Since 2018, Collage has had 7 commissions and 10 premieres. In its 2018–19 season, works ranged from Sir Frederick Ashton's Meditation from Thaïs to Camille A. Brown's New Second Line. Last season featured Swan Lake's Act II alongside Darrell Grand Moultrie's commissioned Frankly Speaking and Thomas' Rise, set to Martin Luther King Jr.'s last speech in Memphis, with an original score by local musicians. "That's why I appreciate Collage," says company dancer Kimberley Ho-Tsaï. "It's very diverse and so challenging. I don't have time to get bored."
Studio Life
"It's amazing to see the impact Collage has on the community," says Ho-Tsaï, who graduated from Dance Theatre of Harlem's professional training program and performed one season with Complexions before moving to Memphis in 2015. A number of the company members teach at the conservatory and also represent Collage in partner-studio classes throughout the city. They're paid to teach in addition to their salary and the health benefits they receive as part of their company contracts.
Collage follows a typical Monday-to-Friday workweek. The day begins with a mandatory 90-minute ballet class, taught by Thomas or conservatory instructors, followed by rehearsals for the remainder of the day. Outside of performances, the company only works on nights or weekends when it needs to accommodate visiting choreographers. "Usually after a choreographer leaves," Ho-Tsaï says, "we're exhausted, but the process of creating is amazing."
Originally from French Guiana, Ho-Tsaï is one of five international dancers in the eight-member troupe. "Even though they're a small company, they really open their doors to international dancers," she says, recounting the support she and her colleagues have received with their work visas. Born in Trinidad, raised in Montreal, and having built a thriving U.S. dance career himself, Thomas is able to draw on his experiences to help his dancers.
More than the support she's received, Ho-Tsaï says she returns to Collage year after year because she believes in its mission to expose minority communities to classical art forms. "I want to do the same type of work in my home country," she shares. "Here, I have a purpose. I dance for something."
Audition Advice
Collage Dance Collective holds auditions from January to March in Houston, New York City and Chicago. Artistic director Kevin Thomas looks for versatile, dedicated artists who can adapt and apply corrections. "That's the difficult thing about finding dancers," he says. "They have to be able to do everything well." Company member Kimberley Ho-Tsaï recommends that dancers have very strong classical technique, as well as other styles in their back pocket. "I can start on pointe, move to socks and end barefoot all in the same show," she says.
Making Moves

I ordered this COVID-19 charity record by ReMission International in August (it finally showed up yesterday) and while it’s a Who’s Who of 80s Goth and New Wave artists covering one of my favorite songs of the era, more importantly, proceeds go to charities around the world, including Crew Nation, which gives financial support to concert and event professionals who have been out of work since March. All the other charities are equally valid and known, from Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis to the UK’s NHS Charities and more.
So—nice record. The song? I will always love “Tower of Strength;” the original by The Mission UK is an epic eight-minute tour de force that was everything Goth wanted to be but rarely achieved—a hopeful, egoless, hypnotic, majestic, bellowing track that finds a hit-or-miss band playing wildly above its level, hitting every single mark perfectly for one glorious song. It’s musical equivalent of the high school kid hitting that finals-winning ¾ court basket at the buzzer and just as exhilarating.
So take that song and remake it with (deep breath) The Cure co-founder Lol Tolhurst, Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore, Gary Numan, Andy Rourke of The Smiths, All About Eve’s Julianne Regan, Midge Ure, Budgie of Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Creatures, The Cult’s Billy Duffy, Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus, Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets, Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, Richard Fortus and Robin Finck of Guns N’ Roses, The Wonder Stuff’s Miles Hunt and more — plus a reunion of Gene Loves Jezebel’s Jay and Michael Aston. Not shabby!
The record serves up four different, equally sprawling mixes, but my favorite is the first (Beholden To The Front Line Workers Of The World mix), which devolves into a full-on guitar solo meltdown. When you add that the record was all recorded remotely and it’s for excellent causes, the context makes it even better. This record is very recommended.

Sainz takes pole for the 2022 United States Grand Prix ahead of Verstappen
Carlos Sainz stormed to pole position in qualifying for the 2022 United States Grand Prix, where grid penalties will see Max Verstappen join him on the front row and the Mercedes start on the second row. Dietrich Mateschitz’s passing cast a shadow over the paddock ahead of qualifying, with the likes of Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff, and Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali paying tribute to the influential Red Bull energy drinks co-founder. Red Bull vowed to continue on for qualifying, the team this weekend hoping to secure their first constructors’ championship victory since 2013. Sainz topped Q1 and Leclerc Q2, leaving Ferrari front-runners when it came to the top-10 shootout. The Monegasque driver set a provisional pole lap early in Q3, but had a10-place grid penalty incoming for engine changes, while Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso would be demoted five places apiece. Sainz’s second flying lap however saw him eclipse his team mate with a time of 1m 34.356s, taking Ferrari’s first pole in Austin, with Leclerc 0.065s off in P2 before his penalty kicked in. Max Verstappen finished third in qualifying but will start on the front row, while Perez finished fourth before his penalty. Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five but is set for a second row start, while team mate George Russell is set to join him, having qualified sixth. Also shuffling forward will be P7 qualifier Lance Stroll, ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris. Alonso will drop five places after qualifying ninth on the grid, which will further promote 10th-place qualifier Valtteri Bottas. Alex Albon qualified 11th for Williams ahead of Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel, while Pierre Gasly was frustrated with a lack of braking performance as he locked up on the way to P13. Zhou Guanyu seemed safe for Q3 but had his final lap deleted and qualified 14th – which will become 19th once his five-place penalty kicks in. Yuki Tsunoda qualified 15th but is set to be promoted at Zhou's expense. Also to be promoted a place will be Kevin Magnussen, who lost out on a spot in Q2 by 0.018s, while Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon struggled to P17 and P18, respectively. Mick Schumacher spun on his final Q1 lap and qualified 19th, while Nicholas Latifi qualified last and is set to start 20th for Williams. via Formula 1 News https://www.formula1.com

Robert Hooks
Tumblr media
Robert Hooks (born Bobby Dean Hooks, April 18, 1937) is an American actor, producer, and activist. He is most recognizable to the public for his more than 100 roles in films, television, and stage. Most famously, Hooks, along with Douglas Turner Ward and Gerald S. Krone, founded The Negro Ensemble Company (NEC). The NEC is credited with the launch of the careers of many major black artists of all disciplines, while creating a body of performance literature over the last thirty years, providing the backbone of African-American theatrical classics. Additionally, Hooks is the sole founder of two significant black theatre companies: the D.C. Black Repertory Company, and New York's Group Theatre Workshop.
Biography
Early life
The youngest of five children, Hooks was born in Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C. to Mae Bertha (née Ward), a seamstress, and Edward Hooks who had moved from Rocky Mount, North Carolina with their four other children, Bernice, Caroleigh, Charles Edward "Charlie", and James Walter "Jimmy". Named Bobby Dean Hooks at birth, Robert was their first child born "up-north" and the first to be born in a hospital. His father, Edward, died in a work accident on the railroad in 1939.
Hooks attended Stevens Elementary School. In 1945, at the insistence of his sister Bernice who was doing community arts outreach for youngsters at Francis Junior High School, he performed the lead in his first play, The Pirates of Penzance, at the age of nine. From the ages of 6 to 12, Bobby Dean journeyed with his siblings to Lucama, North Carolina to work the tobacco fields for his uncle's sharecropping farm as a way to help earn money for the coming school year in D.C.
In 1954, just as Brown vs. Board of Education was being implemented in the north, he moved to Philadelphia to be with his mother, her second husband, and his half-sister, Safia Abdullah (née Sharon Dickerson). Hooks experienced his first integrated school experience at West Philadelphia High School. Hooks soon joined the drama club and began acting in plays by William Shakespeare and Samuel Beckett. He was graduated in 1956, passing on a scholarship to Temple University in order to pursue a career as a stage actor at the Bessie V. Hicks School of Theatre (alongside Charles Dierkop and Bruce Dern, with whom he second-acted plays doing their pre-Broadway tryouts in Philadelphia) while working at Browning King, a men's tailor shop at Fourteenth and Chestnut streets.
Career
Having trained at the Bessie V. Smith School of Theatre in Philadelphia, and after seeing A Raisin in the Sun in its Philadelphia tryout in February 1959, Hooks moved to New York to pursue acting. In April 1960, as Bobby Dean Hooks, he made his Broadway debut in A Raisin in the Sun replacing Louis Gossett, Jr. who would be doing the film version. He then continued to do its national tour. He then stepped into the Broadway production of A Taste of Honey, replacing Billy Dee Williams; then repeating the same national tour trajectory as he had done for "Raisin..." the previous year. In early 1962 he next appeared as the lead in Jean Genet's The Blacks, replacing James Earl Jones as the male lead, leaving briefly that same year to appear on Broadway again in Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright before stepping back into the lead role in The Blacks in 1963. He then returned to Broadway, first in Ballad for Bimshire and then in the short-lived 1964 David Merrick revival of The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Any More (as a character created by Tennessee Williams for this revival) and starring Tallulah Bankhead and Tab Hunter in his only stage performance. Immediately thereafter, in March 24, 1964 he originated the role of Clay in Amiri Baraka's Dutchman. With this play, on the advice of Roscoe Lee Brown, Hooks became known as, Robert Hooks. He also originated roles on the New York stage in Where's Daddy? for which he won the Theatre World Award and he was nominated for Best Male Lead in a Musical for Hallelujah Baby while he was simultaneously starring in David Susskind's N.Y.P.D.—the first African American lead on a television drama.
In 1968 Hooks was the host of the new public affairs television program, Like It Is.
Hooks was nominated for a Tony for his lead role in the musical, Hallelujah, Baby!, has received both the Pioneer Award and the NAACP Image Award for Lifetime Achievement, and has been inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame. He also won an Emmy for his PBS special, Voices of Our People.
Significant roles for which Hooks is known include Reeve Scott in Hurry Sundown (1967), Mr. T. in the blaxploitation film Trouble Man (1972), grandpa Gene Donovan in the comedy Seventeen Again (2000), and Fleet Admiral Morrow in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984). He also appeared on television in an episode of the NBC crime drama series The Eddie Capra Mysteries in 1978 and portrayed Doctor Walcott in the 1980s television series Dynasty.
Activism
Arts and Culture
In 1964, as a result of a speaking engagement at the Chelsea Civil Rights Committee (then connected to the Hudson Guild Settlement House) he founded The Group Theatre Workshop (GTW), a tuition-free environment for disadvantaged urban teens who expressed a desire to explore acting. Among the instructors were Barbara Ann Teer, Frances Foster, Hal DeWindt, Lonne Elder III, and Ronnie Mack. Alumni include Antonio Fargas, Hattie Winston, and Daphne Maxwell Reid.
The Group Theatre Workshop was folded into the tuition-free training arm of the The Negro Ensemble Company (NEC) founded in 1967 with Douglas Turner Ward and Gerald S. Krone with a $1.3 million grant from the Ford Foundation under the auspices of W. McNeil Lowry.
From 1969-1972, Hooks served as an original board member of Black Academy of Arts and Letters (BAAL) (located in New York) alongside C. Eric Lincoln, President; John O. Killens, Alvin F. Poussaint, and Charles White. Chartered by the State of New York, BAAL's mission was to bring together Black artists and scholars from around the world. Additional members included: Julian Adderley, Alvin Ailey, Margaret Walker, James Baldwin, Imamu Baraka, Romare Bearden, Harry Belafonte, Lerone Bennett, Arna Bontemps, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee Davis, St. Clair Drake, Ernest Dunbar, Katherine Dunham, Lonne Elder III, Duke Ellington, Alex Haley, Ruth Inge Hardison, Vertis Hayes, Chester Himes, Lena Horne, Jacob Lawrence, Elma Lewis, Henry Lewis, Paule Marshall, Donald McKayle, Arthur Mitchell, Frederick O’Neal, Gordon Parks, Sidney Poitier, Benjamin Quarles, Lloyd Richards, Lucille D. Roberts, and Nina Simone.
In response to the violence in his home town of Washington, D.C. in the wake of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, and aided by a small grant from the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation, Hooks took a leave of absence from the Negro Ensemble Company to create The D.C. Black Repertory Company (DCBRC, 1970-1981). As Founder and Executive Director, the DCBRC was intended as a further exploration of the ability of the arts to create healing. The a capella group Sweet Honey in the Rock was created and developed within its workshop process.
The Inner Voices (Lorton Prison arts training program, 1971) proved to be a result of the beneficial effect of the DCBRC in the D.C. area. In response to a direct plea from an inmate, Rhozier "Roach" Brown, who was serving a life sentence in Lorton, Hooks' D.C. Black Repertory Company structured the first prison-based arts program in the United States. While it is the norm now, it was then a revolutionary attempt at rehabilitation through the arts. Eventually The Inner Voices performed more than 500 times in other prisons, including a Christmas special entitled, "Holidays, Hollowdays." Due to Roach's work, President Gerald Ford commuted his sentence on Christmas Day, 1975.
His relocation to the West Coast redirected Hooks' approach to parity in the arts with his involvement with The Bay Area Multicultural Arts Initiative (1988) as a board member and grant facilitator-judge. Funded by monies from a unique coalition made up of the San Francisco Foundation (a community foundation); Grants for the Arts of the San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund, and The National Endowment for the Arts, the function of this organization was the funding of deserving local multicultural arts organizations.
In 1992, Hooks co-founded (with writer Lonne Elder III) Arts in Action. Located in South Central Los Angeles, this was a film and television training center established to guide individuals who aspired to careers in film production. It formulated strategies and training for securing entry-level jobs. Courses included: career development workshops; pre-production and production for film and television; creative problem solving in production management; directing for stage and screen—principles and practices; also the craft of assistant directors, script supervisor, technicians, wardrobe, make-up, etc.
The Negro Ensemble Company of Los Angeles (NEC-LA) (1994-1997) was created because so many New York members and original members had relocated to the west coast. Hooks, as founder and executive director enlisted alumni from his New York Negro Ensemble Company to serve as board members: Denise Nicholas, Denzel Washington, James Earl Jones, Laurence Fishburne, Richard Roundtree, Samuel L. Jackson. NEC-LA's goal was to be a new and innovative multi-ethnic cultural project that strived to achieve the community effectiveness and professional success of its parent organization.
Personal life
Hooks is the father of actor, television and film director Kevin Hooks. He married Lorrie Gay Marlow (actress, author, artist) on June 15, 2008. Previously, he was married to Yvonne Hickman and Rosie Lee Hooks.

WHO IS WHO IN MM’s ZOO… BY NQ.
MM and MA for Thom Browne which is stocked at Mr Porter store.
Mr Porter has a “style council” made up of 124 rich and influential men.  The names and part descriptions of style council members have been taken directly from the Mr Porter website with my “MM labels.”  The council members are mostly actors, media people, fashion designers, photographers etc… You know, the creative types.
MR PORTER has been in business for over seven years. With a keen eye for menswear, and a taste for mean martinis, he travels the world with offices in London, Milan, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo –he thought it would be remiss not to put himself on the Style Council.
Mr Porter is the only member of the style council without a photo.  Other members are:
Markus Anderson is the Global Membership Director of Soho House. Starting as a waiter, he has held practically every position in the group. He currently resides in Toronto. MM’s best friend.
Mr Olivier Lordonnois is general manager at The Mark Hotel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, best known for hosting the before and after parties to the annual Met Gala.  MM’s baby shower venue.
Pharrell Williams is an American rapper and cofounder of the clothing brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Clothing.  MM’s yellow carpet marriage adviser.
Elton John’s husband - CEO of Rocket Entertainment and chairman of the Elton John Aids Foundation, Mr David Furnish is an entrepreneur with a global and strategic outlook.
Mr Alexander Gilkes cofounded Paddle8, an auction site that brought the prestige of the high-value, bricks-and-mortar house to the online marketplace.  MM’s other best friend Misha’s ex-husband.
David de Rothschild is one of the leaders of a new generation of changemakers focused on re-igniting collective hope in the future of the planet.  Hmm…
Derek Blasberg is a writer, editor and best-selling author. He is Vanity Fair’s “Our Man on the Street”, a senior staff member at the Gagosian Gallery, and Director of Fashion and Beauty at YouTube.
Mr Keith Baptista has created unique branding events for some of the biggest names in fashion and art including Ralph Lauren.  MM was a guest of Ralph Lauren Wimbledon 2016.
Erdem Moralioglu launched his eponymous fashion and his clothes are sold at the most prestigious stores around the world. MM wore Erdem on Canada Day 2019 (sorry Skippy!)
Ben Caring works alongside his father, Mr Richard Caring, in his family-owned empire, which includes event caterers Urban Caprice, members’ club group Soho House and Caprice Restaurants, which include The Ivy and Scott’s.  MM’s home away from home.
Kevin Systrom is one of the most influential tech entrepreneurs of his generation: before co-founding Instagram, he was part of the startup Odeo, which later became Twitter. Only 18 months after founding Instagram and with a staff of just 13, he and co-founder Mr Mike Krieger sold it to Facebook for $1bn in 2012.  MM and social media.
Matthew Stillman is a film producer and the managing director of Stillking Films, who have create music videos for the likes of Beyonce, Kanye West, Duran Duran, David Bowie and Madonna.  MM and Beyonce on the yellow carpet.
