oh no i spent an hour watching instagram reels and now i feel horrible again 😭 and like even worse than i would normally feel after an hour on instagram. people don't actually live like that, they don't all have perfect skin and perfect hair and perfect bodies and perfect houses, right???? i'm not completely doomed and hopeless, right?????? right?????? RIGHT????
Ik i-fans are often dancing on the edge of koreaboo-dom but imho it's nothing compared to the way kpop idols worship USAmerica. The Walmart photoshoots etc are actually so weird... It's everywhere in the industry but I'm saying this specificly after seeing Taemin's comeback photodumps that suggest he will be cosplaying as "trailer trash" living in the desert and that is so much worse to me than idk fangirls looking up ulzzang makeup tutorials or going out to eat bibimbap.
Most of the i-fans in western online spaces are American and they might not even notice the things that they see as the norm but for a non-American like myself it's quite jarring and really depressing too how their culture is taking over the whole world. I specifically got into kpop some 11-12 years ago because it was so different. And look at it now - everything is targeting American audiences, it's becoming indistinguishable from western pop music (again - you might not even notice it if this is all you know)
gonna be interesting to see if the lck cl en cast can manage to keep the same chill vibes in 2024 as this year. with most likely more new fans watching because of rekkles and a move away from twitch due to twitch korea shutting down that seems difficult.
youtube chat was already a mess this year, with messages about gambling etc (banned topic) and a lot of non-english chatters. the casters did not have mod permissions there to snipe gambling talk or player insults. maybe it gets better due to twitch chatters moving over but it's not like the viet (?) chatters will just disappear. I really liked the vibes of the lck cl stream this year and of the co-streams of the previous years so I hope they can manage to keep things nice and friendly
In Korea, this unbeatable duo reigns supreme:Korea "INSSA" FOOD "Green Onion Kimchi and Jjapaghetti
Green Onion Kimchi and Jjapaghetti hold unique positions in Korean food culture. Each offers distinct flavors and characteristics, but when paired together, they create a special harmony that is beloved by many.
Jjapaghetti

My biggest pet peeve when it comes to reading Chinese history metas written by westerners on tumblr is how they attribute very specifically Chinese culture shit with “East Asian™️”. Why must you attribute my country’s history to the entire sino sphere? We did influence the region with our culture and art and religions but there are still some very specific Chinese things that should not be attributed to the entire region but I don’t know why some people just automatically paint it as a “East Asian™️” thing instead of a Chinese thing, why are you so adverse to credit my country, my culture for our history? Why do you have to attribute my cultures success to the entire region when it has no connection to the bigger sino sphere?

Queen blackberry cookie can you tell me little or some thing about her ?
I literally only made her to be shipped with Dark Cacao.
I got the idea to name her from seeing wild blackberry bushes near my home. I like to imagine her coming from a village of cookies based on wild berry bushes; Dark Cacao choosing her to be his queen as he was enchanted by her warmth and friendliness. A much needed hearth among the harsh winter. They would have Dark Choco; but after THE Incident, the king and queen drifted apart.
But not wanting to go down as a monarch who abandoned her people, the Queen left the palace incognito to help tribes and villages without the spying eye of Affogato. Which leads us to the Cacao story when she meets Gingerbrave and his band, and Caramel Arrow Cookie.
These are just concepts but in her youth she is a lot brighter and open; older she wears muted tones and gray. Her crown also reflects the state of her family if you look closely.
