Let's bring Holiday Cheer to Pokemon Unite!

So, I didn't realize that Christmas was literally right around the corner (Am writing this on Christmas Eve of all days) and I realized I've yet to make a poll about it and Pokemon Unite. Kind of fitting that I published Weavile for Pokemon Unite today as well.

So, let's celebrate the holidays by voting on which Festive Friend should join Pokemon Unite!

The poll is Christmas themed, if that isn't obvious enough, but some choices are not as clear as others. While Delibird, Abomasnow, and Wyrdeer are obvious choices for a holiday themed team, I feel like I need to explain the other options on the poll first before the post ends.

Bronzong represents the bell and the ringing in of the New Year, as you hear these sounds all the time in Christmas songs. Speaking of which, Altaria is on the poll as a singer for Christmas carols. I know there are other singer pokemon more popular that I could've put on the poll, but Altaria is also well dressed for the weather and resembles a snow cloud.

Arboliva represents the Christmas wreath and Ampharos represents the Christmas lights in the sky and the wires we decorate our houses with. It's also a sheep which means warm woolly clothes for all. Coalossal is supposed to be the burning hearth in the home (and NOT a big fat lump of coal in your stocking if you've been Naughty this year) whereas Grimmsnarl is supposed to be a sinister spirit like Krampus, or an elf, or even Mr. Scrooge if that's your fancy. Hum-bug!

And lastly, Jirachi represents the final piece of decor for a Christmas Tree. Normally it's either a star or an angel, but Jirachi is technically both if you think about it.

Recently, I’ve been working on a Christmas team to take onto the doubles ladder. It’s not the best, but it is a lot of fun to play c: 

You’ve got:

Mrs. Claus the Delibird to provide support

Krampus the Grimmsnarl for screens

Frosty the Darmanitan as the main offensive threat

Nicoal the Coalossal to deal with fire and also steel types matchups

Corporations the Duraludon because you can’t have holidays without corporate greed in this hellscape we live in

And Make Believe the Mimikyu to represent the spirit of pretending to be something you’re not at family reunions and also for an alternative offensive Pokemon. After a swords dance, it becomes pretty threatening.

I had a lot of fun using this and I hope you do too! I’m not entirely sure how rental teams work, but I’ll leave this up for rent in my game until January 7th

I’ll come up with the personalities of the others when I’m less tired. (As for the number of Shinies. Krampus I caught myself, Honda was from @enigma-boi I think, and Perry was traded to me back in G5 from someone I know IRL) Anyway time to take this shiny new Armor Pass to the train station!
