CRACUS CITY HALL IN KRASNOGORSKY BURNS AFTER TERRORIST ATTACK KILLS 40 AND WOUNDS OVER 100

📹 Cracus City Hall in the Krasnogorsky District of the Moscow region in the Russian Federation burns after a terrorist attack today killed 40 and wounded over 100 people.

According to reporting on the attack, several unknown assailants burst into Cracus City Hall as the packed theater was settling down before musical show and began firing automatic weapons at the patrons at point-blank range before throwing incendiary weapons which engulfed the theater in flames.

The suspects escaped the terrorist attack in a white Renault sedan. Federal investigations are now under way.

Russia will finally launch its next civilian Earth observation satellite, Resurs-P 4, after scrabbling around for bits for a few years. It looks very Russian, two large solar arrays will deploy on each side.

It will launch from Site 31/6 Baikonur at 10:36BST onboard a Soyuz 2-1b.

It is equipped with a Geotin-L1 multi-special imager with a 1m resolution, a NPP Opteks ShMSA-VR 200m high resolution camera, a NPP Opteks ShMSA-SR 40mm medium resolution camera an a GSA hyperspatial camera operating in 5-10nm wavelengths with a 30m resolution. Hyperspecral camras collect a vast portion of the EM spectrum instead of just light (and instead of just specic bands as in mulispectral images), optaining a spectrum for each pixel of the image. Built by NPP Opteks, Roscosmos and optics producer Krasnogorsky Zavod (KMZ known also for Zorki and Zenit cameras).

Mariupoli vallutamisel visati lennukipomme ainult Azovstali tehasele, kuhu Ukraina võitlejad olid taganenud.

Praegu eeldab Venemaa, et tsiviilisikud peaksid juba ammu olema lahingupiirkonnast lahkunud.

Tanya says it's famous for being the home of the Russian camera brand, Zenit. • Tanya has been a graphic designer for the past 10 years. Having done logos, brand identity, advertising and paper goods as well as web design, she is now introducing lettering and calligraphy into her work. • Her style of lettering is what caught my eye. It is very unique and recognizable. I noticed it popping up on the feed a few timse and recognized it was her work immediately. Because I see all kinds of letters every single day, it impresses me when someone can standout. When they've honed their letters to a particular style unlike anyone else. Unfortunately, there is a lot of uniformity on the feed nowawdays. Tanya does a great job of separating herself from the rest. • Which is impressive considering she just began the practice of lettering last year! And even later introduced the practice of calligraphy in the form of online courses, master classes and self-study. She remembers making postcards as a child and is now very excited and inspired to develop her hand at lettering and calligraphy. • She is an indepedent designer and available for hire. She is eager to work on any kind of lettering projects as well as logos, logotypes, identity and paper products. 1:  What inspired you to write the fic this way?

I wanted to do something for everyone for chocobox and I saw your prompt and was like mm... retirement feelings? i can do that.. it was like one of the only things I could think of that I knew how to write about that would translate well (what is: winning the world cup) so I decided to gun for that angle instead! 

And also since, again, what is: winning the world cup I decided to do it from before because I think that a lot of the beauty of foot comes from Before, when you’re waiting, when anything can happen, even though that’s also the most painful part. And just to think about that in the context of miwo not playing this time but still with the team and still swept up in that whole anticipation I Guess!!! 

4:  What's your favorite line of dialogue?

2:  What scene did you first put down?

I write, like, very linearly and based on an outline, so in terms of the actual writing the first paragraph was definitely what I put down and then stalled on for like 2 wks; I knew I wanted a sort of starting in the middle, going back to the beginning structure because it sort of mirrored the way WWI happened in all its furious quickness and them not really knowing what was going on even before getting involved. In terms of the outline?? I had the thing about going back to a football match before the war even as they played the truce game the first! Just to go into how football is universal and timeless and neverending - except writing that out from the concept took me like allll of the last few spwing fwing hours, screams into void

9:  Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

UH! there were a lot of branches, I think, offshoots because when you create a universe like this naturally you Go Deep so I have a whole list of, like, people and ranks and divisions and stories I Could write, but for this fic in particular? I think it was always going to be this, this truce thing, this football thing. The only alternate version that comes to mind is that at first I tried to make the thing more antagonistic, like you were saying ! - more sort of classique carraville where they hate each other, so the outline was all ‘cawwaviwwe get into a fight’ - but writing that I realised that it’s so difficult to hate someone when you’re on the same side going into war, y’know? And I think - what are AUs for - changing the dynamic subtly without really affecting the characters or the stories - and it was important to stick to the realities of war, and not to push through this hateship thing that even I admit gets tiring sometimes when UH not done right.. anyway! yee so there were elements of mancscouse rivalry that I kept but I realised that to do it overwrought just wouldn’t work (and anyway it probably wasn’t as vitriolic then as it is now) so I’m kind of glad I changed it!

FORTY KILLED AND MORE THAN 100 INJURED IN TERRORIST ATTACK AT CROCUS CITY HALL IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

At least forty people were killed and more than 100 wounded at Crocus City Hall, a concert venue located in the Krasnogorsky District in central Moscow region, in the Russian Federation, after several armed men opened gunfire on crowds just settling down for a symphony orchestra show.

Nearly all the tickets were sold out at the time of the attacks, which began around 8pm when a number of men burst into the venue, with at least one of the men carrying and then throwing a smoke or incendiary bomb, and began firing on the unsuspecting concert-goers at point-blank range with automatic gunfire.

“Between the second and third call, at least three men in camouflage and without masks ran through the stalls,” said a reporter with Russian news outlet, RIA Novosti, who was at the scene of the emergency said.

“They opened fire from automatic weapons and threw a grenade or incendiary bomb. People lay down on the floor. 15-20 minutes later, they began to crawl out. Someone succeeded," the correspondant added.

Witnesses said there were Security guards at the show, however being unarmed, there was little they could do to offer resistance to the gunmen.

Other witnesses told Ria Novosti that they heard several short bursts of gunfire before seeing smoke and people running from the hall. Some ran to the bathrooms and barricaded themselves inside, while others rushed towards the exits.

At some point, the smoke or incendiary bombs used by the gunmen set fire to the concert hall, with dozens of police, fire brigades and the Russian National Guard responding to the atrack, while personnel from the Federal Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office responded soon after.

Some witnesses said that after the gunfire, they heard a loud explosion before fire engulfed much of Crocus City Hall. Local fire brigades, though responding quickly to the call, were unable to enter due to the active gunmen inside and ended up using helicopters to drop water over the hall and extinguish the fire, though the upper floors of the building are said to be completely burnt out.

By 10pm, the roof of the Hall had collapsed, however it is unclear if there were still live or wounded victims inside at the time of the collapse. The fire burnt an area that totals more than 12'900 square meters.

According to Federal authorities, the gunmen escaped the scene as the crowds ran out of the concert hall, and were seen driving away in a white Renault sedan. Investigations of the terrorist attack are now underway.
