I simply think this fandom doesn't give Wei Wuxian enough credit for the various ways in which he saved Lan Wangji

#mdzs #mo dao zu shi #wangxian #idk man- i just see a lot of “Lan Wangji has always been protecting Wei Wuxian” posts and its like...#I mean... Lan Wangji has always certainly been trying to protect Wei Wuxian #it took him a long time to figure how to successfully do that though #rereading the books rn and noticing theres a lot of instances that could be read as lwj being frustrated over his inability to protect wwx #like he seemed ready to cry when wwx went missing for a while and then came back with the cursed leg #lwj has always been great at protecting wwx from physical threats (ex: waterborn abyss) but had no idea how to protect him from himself #meanwhile wwx has always been instictually good at saving lwj from both #like I'm 100% lwj would've become like Jiang Cheng if wwx hadn't snapped him out of the blindly following authority thing #and also like... 15 y/o lwj wasnt happy with his life. he was lonely and stressed and literally signing up to be flogged whenever he goofed #wwx is who allowed lwj to grow up by showing him what it was like to actually be a kid (shown in story whenever lwj gets drunk)#he led lwj to having a more flexible mindset. and it both let lwj relax and set lwj up to be a better parent #looking into lwj's dynamic with the juniors- he lets them break a fuck ton of the petty rules and encourages them to question authority #he also teaches them to not be married to any one meathod of problem solving #wwx is also able to save lwj from his own stubbornness #ex: carrying lwj when he broke his leg. getting lwj to cough up bad blood. getting lwj to keep the rabbits #wwx also tends to give lwj the words he has trouble saying himself. helps him communicate #wwx also protects lwj in fights a lot but thats narratively less important #except the various times wwx puts himself in danger to help lwj. those times are what made it so lwj could never move on from wwx #like with the cave incident #or when wwx helped surpress the arm instead of using the chaos to escape cloud recesses #tldr i guess: i think this fandom tends to treat lwj being the best like its natural to him when really wwx accidentaly rewired his brain #I'm looking directly at fanfic writers who act like the Lans would've treated wwx better than the Jiangs #lwj had to do so much work and self reflection post meeting wwx to be the way he is. he is not the sole product of the Lan teachings

To me, Rusty Lake is about healing. You, riddled with trauma and pain, have a chance to be reborn. A new life, to start over.

Dale and David's relationship embodies everything I love about Rusty Lake. The hurt, the pain... Dale tried to kill David, he tried to heal himself through anger and revenge, but David was still there. So maybe Dale has to forgive him instead, allow himself to let go of the pain, and move on.

Such is life. We hurt, but we wake up every day and we keep going.

Those two mean so much to me because I want to believe in that light at the end of the tunnel. That I, broken and aching, can heal too. (Also make out with your enemy ig)

OmgGshdhs The newest dribble about Fox Sun and Moon? Muah chef's kiss. I love this idea so much, I hope you will continue the idea maybe creating it into a fic because I would devour it, it's giving a little cryptic sightings vibes with boys being the inhuman creature, and there is so many different scenarios and possibilities with the story, sceneries and characters. This au is already living rent free in my head, how can one person be full of so many marvellous ideas? Naff you are an angel, sending love!

I just can't thinking about the blorbos and placing them in AUs! I'm also really happy you guys will indulge with me.

With the fox men and Hare Y/N, I can't stop thinking about the aftercare of their broken leg, after the screaming, of course, and how diligent Sun and Moom are in keeping the restless hare still so the bone can heal straight. The boys will take turns carrying Y/N outside of the den so they don't go stir crazy and help them forage some food and talk about how to watch for the silver glint of metal traps hidden in the snow. Y/N is still very wary towards the fox men but has little choice in trusting them (even after an escape attempt which, ah, went less than steller.)

Also--there's a blizzard one night and Y/N gets the comfort of two fox cuddles with their thick and warm fur.

the chapter songs in Alan Wake 2,, flawless

#they deserve more love and discussion #saying this while also not knowing what to say other than they’re so fucking good #alan wake 2 #i think it’s partially because poets of the fall’s tracks are iconic so of course they’re in the spotlight (as deserved)#but also the CHAPTER SONGS. them being made for a given chatacter(s) with the help of Sam lakes poetry #the changes with ‘this road’ by Poe with every Alan chapter. becoming more distorted and revealing lyrics and the spiral #the scratch song being 1) hilarious and 2) similar to Zane’s poetry in the aw1 arg #the emotion in superhero when saga feels lost at the story making it so Logan was gone #the lines of her feeling like a ghost in this story forming around her.. how she feels guilty and absent for both what the story’s doing #and being away from Logan because of her job. ashdhhhhjhh my heart #AND. follow you into the dark HAS to be alice. which kills me because at for at I thought of Alan #but no. Alice jumped in the dark place after him. it’s so !!!!!!!!!!!#the rabbit hole line. Alice spiraling deeper and deeper into a dream—into wonderland #the Lost at Sea one is also good. intrigues me. the Bowie and Lynch references are blatantly aw2 Zane #but it’s so similar to diver Zane and the ‘originals’ death. being lost in the dark place with illusions of escape #and losing any sense of identity. whether he’s real at all or the monster of this sea or just a lost soul.#the soft and calm vocals / instrumental really makes the whole thing #NEED to stop typing more tags because this is a Lot. however.#‘no one left to love’ is also a phenomenal song and one of my favorites from the album. GORGEOUS vocals and how it all flows together.#such a powerful and beautiful way to end a chapter #anyway that’s all I had to say :)#god. Henry who wasn’t all that close with the Aftons after Charlie’s death or really before either. He worked with William and knew he had a family consisting of three kids but rarely ever saw them, especially not after his own child’s passing. So least to say, when he sees Michael show up to apply for the position of night guard in fnaf 6, for a brief moment, he thinks it’s William from the past back to haunt him again.
