オレが通ったのは8年前に棚沢尾根〜熊木沢〜塔西尾根だったけど、熊木沢からオガラ沢の大崩落は当時からそのままだったからなぁ

ただでさえマイナールートなのに莫大な補修費を掛けてまでやる必要も予算も無いから、通行止めにして時々直してますよ〜ってスタンスやな

危険度を判断出来て慣れてる人がSNSに上げたりせずににひっそり楽しむのが吉だわな

去年、第七隧道で虎ロープ張ってたのが今第五なんだな。

去年、丹沢湖からロッジまでは行ったけど、第九隧道前らへんの林道に大穴空いてたんじゃなかったっけ？

他は道が流れてたり堰堤の土砂で崩れてるのと崖の金網がモッコリしてるあれくらいだったような。

林道からは上がってないからそれ状況は知らんけど

Jamie wouldn’t have gone so far to say that he was having a good time at the party but he could admit that dragging Alec along was a good move. At least for him. Watching his antics from the plush, velvet couches while flanked by treats and liquor was as close to Olympus as he would ever get. His tired bones were satiated by the 5-star comfort and although he’d fallen asleep twice, he’d always woken up better than the last. 

“You’re an idiot,” he said up at Alec while others circling the table he’d launched himself onto clapped and cheered at his impression of Mick Jagger. Even Jamie felt a small smile creep up onto his face as he sipped his drink and watched his friend make a fool out of himself. 

He couldn’t remember the last time he felt so relaxed, almost certain that it was because of the top shelf liquor and secret puppy kisses behind marble pillars. It was sickening. 

And he loved it.

He surveyed the party with a sense of nostalgia for all that he’d missed as a teenager. For all the times he spent weekends cleaning grease from air vents and tidying tables. For all the youth that he’d missed. One night of debauchery wasn’t enough to make up for all that he’d lost, but it was something. 

His gaze stopped on a figure through the doorway into the next room, a dark smudge upon the white-gold decor. Jamie watched for a bit as the too-familiar man chortled and lumbered through the small swathe of nymphs that had flocked towards him.

Slugging back the rest of his drink, he placed his glass down on the table before getting up to approach him. He cut through the girls like a lightning bolt in a rainstorm. Nothing good ever lasted too long for him, did it?

“You can show up at a party but you can’t even show up at home?” he said, his stiff stance screaming confrontational. “The fuck is wrong with you? It was Stella’s birthday last month, you jackass.”

I am so sorry I took so long to answer this...things have just been very busy, and I haven't had enough enough energy in the last few weeks to be able to form a single coherent thought. But here I am, at long last.

So.

Wednesday.

I feel like I was the last person to watch it because everyone was already talking about it akfjangkajdjaf I had filtered the tag, though. So I managed to avoid spoilers. ✨

My cousins were over, so we watched 1.5 episodes one night, and then the next night, we stayed up till 3 am to finish it. 💀

It was such a fun show. I have only seen one The Addams Family film, and that was nearly 13 years ago. So I didn't really have much idea going in. (I am, however, embarrassed to admit that I did not realise Christina Ricci was playing Thronhill akfjajnfja I had a shock when I found out) But I had a great time watching it!

The pacing was good, the characters were fun to follow, the plot was interesting, and I think they did a great job with dialogue writing too. Plus all the little callbacks to the other Addams family media that I've seen being talked about were a nice touch.

I would have liked the ending fight to last a bit longer, though...we had so much buildup to it, but then it was over so quickly....that, plus Weems' death was SO anti-climactic. Like, come on guys, you had Gwendolyn Christie, you can do her better.

and there were a few plotholes that I would like more resolution to, and more development on all their characters. (btw, this is not at all a plot hole, just something that's been bugging me...how did Rowan's mother make that drawing before she died 25 years ago, if he's 16-18, considering they're in high school? Did I hear it wrong?)

I was convinced from episode 2 that Thornhill was suspicious, and in episode 5, I was convinced she would be Laurel, but then they really managed to throw me off by making the therapist blonde lmao. Apparently, I forgot hair dyes exist 💀

I also had an inkling Tyler was the Hyde from episode 3, but man...he really managed to win me over, and I actively ignored all the signs 🤡

I still kind of ship him and Wednesday akndamnfnaj. But honestly, I would be happy if we get Wenclair (which I also ship tbh) or aro/ace Wednesday either.

Btw, that hug at the end was EVERYTHING. 😩🤌

Oh, and for the characters...my ranking for the main group would be:

1) Thing (yes, a hand is my favourite character, what about it?)

2) Wednesday

4) Tyler

5) Bianca

6) Weems

We haven't really had enough Morticia and Gomez (episodes 5 when we saw flashbacks of their time at Nevermore has me so hungry more of their past story) and Pugsley for me to rank then, and I would love for that to change. Gimme more of the family, please and thank you.

And on an ending note...I have never seen a Morticia that isn't just straight-up ethereal, and Catherine Zeta-Jones fits it so well. Every time she was on screen, I literally could not focus on anything else. The walk. THE WALK. Just...yes. that.

Anyway, I'm eagerly waiting for season 2!

Inviting Alec to the party was perhaps his most dastardly plan to date. The dude was a hurricane and the citizens of Gravewood his unwitting victims. It was only last year when the Damalec baby blew up the gossip all over town and 2022 had yet to come with its own Alec-flavored disaster. He couldn’t imagine a bigger bomb to Morgan’s attempt at winning the hearts of Gravewood than controversy revolving around Alec’s unruly dick.

Halloween was a fond holiday to him for more than one reason this year, remembering too well how some jackass had decked Alec for no reason at the firehouse and set everything in motion. It started with frozen peas and ended with Alex woven into his life like tapestry. Jamie couldn’t complain. At least, not honestly. 

However, the incessant tugging on his hand reminded him that Alec was a double-edged sword that didn’t discriminate who he cut. Wide pools of scantily clad bodies begged him to gravitate towards them like an excitable dog to a big slab of juicy meat, Jamie the unwilling owner attached to the leash. His heels skidded on the luxury rug as he tried to rip his arm from Alec’s grasp, protesting with increasing panic the closer they got. Finally, he freed himself with a hard shove. 

The immediate regret set in when he was met with big, watery eyes reflecting betrayal back at him like he’d just stepped on his tail. 

“Look, I’m not going in there,” he said, eyes glancing nervously at the rippling blue water as if it’d leap out and swallow him into its watery depths if he got any closer. “I had an accident in junior year. It was traumatic, to say the least.”

Jamie hugged the side of the double doors as if to beckon Alec back inside and away from the treacherous bubbling depths. He frowned at the stench of chlorine that wafted through the whole area. “Can’t we go somewhere else?”

How does one become a writer for tv or movies? Like how are people discovered? Same thing with actors--how do people who are nobodies, all of a sudden become stars?

I can not speak for acting at all and USUALLY actors aren't "nobodies." Even if they don't have credits, they've usually got an agent and have been trying to get work for a logm time although there are some rare bizarre cases.

As for writing for TV, it's again unlikely that someone is truly a "nobody." All of TV writing is basically made up of nobodies that have been working for years. And in that case, the best way to "get noticed" or get in is to get smaller jobs that are related to TV like as an assistant and such and slowly prove your value and your insight. Because even a show where you may not get moved up, you may impress a boss who will later go to bat for you. I know when I was up for legacies, immediately some of my old bosses were like "let me know who to email." Because people you work with are usually very willing to tell other people whether or not you would work on their show or be a great person to work with. But at the same time, they'lre only ever going to do that if theyn trust tht yuou're not going to make them look like a fool for doing so. So the best thing you can really do is just keep working, keep writing, building important bonds with people who would vouch for you and trust you with THEIR reputation, enter fellowships, read as many scripts as you can and write as many scripts as you can.
