I’m taking this Christmas Tree shaped Cool Ranch Dorito to be a good omen. In all my years of eating Cool Ranch, I have never come across one with extra chip on it, and certainly not in the shape of. PRIDE VS MODESTY. One of the things that messed me up the most in life, was MY definition for these terms. I wouldn't say anything positive about myself or my abilities (not even at a job interview) because I didn't want to come out as an arrogant person. Then I realized that being modest is not about hiding or ignoring my GREATNESS. It's about owning and acknowledging it and still seeing everyone else as equal. It became much easier for me to accept and see the greatness in others once I was able to recognize and embrace mine. When you push it away and don't acknowledge it, you are choosing the easy route and robbing the world from it!!! Your talents, gifts, and skills are NOT YOURS TO KEEP, it meant to go thru you to be shared with the world. Day 62

So as Issy had got most of the camping stuff out it was only fair that I put it all away.

Had a shower. Had been in the same clothes since Friday...proper camping behaviour!!

I tried to make willow plant supports for Jessie but it wasn't easy so gave up. I'll have to try a different approach where they are actually needed. The willow just snaps. I need to see if I can soak it in the bath and use it then. Something to add to the list.

I pottered around the garden, swept the block paving and sorted out some plants in the greenhouse.

I made a chicken curry in the slow cooker and Issy made naan bread. They were very good.

I tried digging out a bit more of the new flower bed. It's HARD work.

About a year ago I decided to embrace this travel bug. And what a year it has been!! I have ALWAYS loved airports - for me they’re such a special place. For others it’s a place of stress, but for me it’s been a sanctuary of rest. When you’re waiting for a flight you get the gift of stillness. You get the gift of finally starting that book you’ve been trying to read for 6 months... you get to sit at a restaurant bar and make new friends... you can even sit back and just enjoy the hustle and bustle. Situations are what you make of them - and for me airports are magical. Even if you have to sprint to make your connection, or flight issues delay your plans - there’s always something positive to take away! You got some exercise!! You get more time with your book! You have more time to spend with your traveling partners! 💕 So today I challenge you - take a place that causes you stress, and try to see it differently. Tweak your view and even if there’s bad - there’s good there too. And if you’re like me - you know that what you focus of grows. Let’s focus on the positive and make that grow even a teeny bit today.
