MISTRESS OF KING HENRY VIII OF ENGLAND

Madge Shelton (Margaret Shelton) was the alleged mistress of Henry VIII as well as the lady-in-waiting to her cousin Anne Boleyn

Madge (Margaret) was the younger sister of Mary Shelton, who was believed to have been the actual mistress of Henry VIII (and not Madge). Their mother Anne was the sister of Thomas Boleyn, who was the father of Anne Boleyn. Madge became an attendant of Anne Boleyn on Easter Eve, 12 April 1533.

Madge was said to have had an affair with Henry VIII in 1535, however, historians aren’t sure whether it was Madge or her sister Mary who was the mistress of the king. This was because the Imperial ambassador, Eustace Chapuys referred to the king’s mistress as ‘Mistress Shelton’. Madge was believed to have been the king’s mistress for 6 months starting in February.

Madge was with Boleyn when Anne miscarried her son. Madge was Anne’s closest companion but was later dismissed. When Boleyn was arrested on charges of treason, Boleyn told one of her lady attendees that she had reprimanded Francis Weston for flirting with Madge Shelton, as she was to be married to Henry Norris. Boleyn questioned aloud why Norris had not married Madge yet. Weston replied that Norris came looking for Anne’s bed rather than seek out Madge. Norris and Weston were both executed after being accused of being Boleyn’s lovers.

Madge married Thomas Woodhouse and had two children.

June Vincent (born Dorothy June Smith, July 17, 1920 – November 20, 2008) Film and television actress.

Vincent began her career in film in the early 1940s. After having made 50 films, she retired from that field when her second child was born.

She later became a successful television actress appearing in many programs throughout the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. She appeared in three episodes of Have Gun - Will Travel and she made five guest appearances on Perry Mason including the roles of murderer Madge Wainwright in the 1959 episode, "The Case of the Bartered Bikini," and title character and murder victim/villainess Laura Randall in the 1961 episode, "The Case of the Wintry Wife."

after the fire? had a lot of issues with trust and paranoia, isolated herself and derek in new york to the extent of her ability, very much went into lock-down mode. could be a little harsh, her temper got a bit quicker, knew she had to step up derek’s training and do it all alone, and it was probably...a little too intense tbh

sjdhfsdf honestly i feel like i have so many that every single time i’m asked my brain just fills with static. BASICALLY i would love to write more au/crossovers with every single one of my muses, but let’s see what i can come up with:

actually i just want more of everything for laura i haven’t written her nearly enough. i have ideas for tvd/to/legacies verses for her as well as just? other random crossovers

honestly most of the rest of my thoughts have to do with particular muses more than actual plots i have in mind? but i would love to write more for camilla macaulay / meg march / susan pevensie / andromeda tonks / madge undersee / serena clarke / helga hufflepuff / rhaenys targaryen! i feel like the muses i tend to focus on in any given span of time are the ones getting the most attention? which is fine! but it definitely means i end up with some i don’t write as much as i would like to!
