No, she would not allow me to change the channel and, yes, Satsuki was fully aware of what this show entails. Her reasons for watching are "catharsis" and, no, I'm not sure how she'd find watching this show to be cathartic, then again, the episode's storyline was quite intriguing, however, she might've been watching for more than just the storyline. Regardless, Satsuki said her reasons for watching for "catharsis" but and she won't explain why.

Shisui knew he wanted to date Sakura the day she danced without the slightest misstep to Lily-Rose Depp's "world class sinner". Watching her move her hips, he thought there were many ways he'd like to see her hips undulate. Not to mention the way her body seemed at one with the music. Every step was fluid, and he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the way her butt moved. He was an ass man. He'd never really hidden it, and Sakura's seemed well.... perfect. He could already see himself using it as a cushion on Sunday nights in front of Law&Order:svu. He should probably thank his outgoing nature, because if he hadn't gone out that Friday, he never would have run into this woman. From what he understood, she was shooting a video. A rather slender blonde was filming her, accompanied by a brunette with two buns who was doing the framing. It wasn't until 10 days later that he came across this video. On TikTok, no less! It was apparently a popular trend. It had only reaffirmed his desire to date her. He knew that one day, Sakura Haruno would be his.

“Svu starts soon!”

“Grab the popcorn! Please?”

“Sure.”

“Thank you, baby.”

Lying on their U-shaped sofa, Sakura felt a weight added to her buttocks a few minutes later. She didn't need to turn her head to know that her boyfriend was getting comfortable. For some reason, and for as long as they'd been dating - a year and a half - Shisui seemed to love using her bottom as a personal pillow. Sakura wasn't complaining; on the contrary, she found it pleasant that he was so affectionate. It was simply amusing to see that he couldn't get enough of his 'cuddly toy', even after a year. Taking a handful of popcorn from the bowl on the coffee table, she felt him rub his cheek against her ass cheek and rolled her eyes.

“You can have fun later. There's my wife Olivia on TV.”

Shisui scoffed but made no comment. He'd discovered over the course of their relationship that Sakura was an even more devoted fan of the show than he was, and that she took their Sunday "svu" very seriously, but that didn't matter since they still had all night and then her ass and pretty person would be all his. (With her consent of course).

I thought Amanda Rollins was leaving “Law & Order:Special Victims Unit” 😩🙄 I HATE HER CHARACTER! And I thought I was free from her & that stomach turning marriage with ADA Sonny Carisi smh it’s so not believable. Why would Carisi want to marry Amanda with her 2 kids by 2 different men, gambling ass, judgmental, & hypocritical ass!

I hate Amanda Rollins with all my heart and soul! Sonny & Amanda makes my stomach hurts it’s soo corny & dry & weak! And Amanda is not a detective how is she helping Olivia Benson with a case smh 🤦🏾‍♀️ I’m starting to hate this show and I never thought I would hate Law & Order:SVU! Amanda Rollins go away smh go be a fake ass professor!

OMG YOURE ACTUALLY A LAWYER 🙊🙊🙊🙊 thaats so cool🙊 I used to want to be a district attorney but I don’t think that life is for me😂 (honestly I used to want to be a lot of things, especially after growing up watching Law & order:svu *which is funny bc my mother let me watch that but we weren’t allowed to watch SpongeBob😂* I wanted to be a detective like Olivia benson, a lawyer like Casey Novak, and then a forensic psychologist like George Huang)

My prior law firm job (similar to Aera’s at the beginning of the story) was so soul-sucking and miserable that it ultimately wasn’t worth the prestige and the 💰 and I just had to find something else… I was lucky enough to land a job that’s perfect for me, still prestigious enough but low-key and (usually) leaves me with plenty of free time for what really matters in life: obsessing over Charlie, obviously!! 😋

I can totally see how you would be inspired by those characters on those shows! It’s natural to have a variety of interests/goals, and based on all of our conversations I think you could excel at any of those 🙌 It’s great that you’re in college as that’s a perfect time to sort it all out and just see where stuff goes 🙃✨ And that’s hilarious about being allowed to watch SVU but not spongebob lmaooooo 🤣

Really cool and normal to be scared to share a bed with your mother and feel unsafe to take your shirt off even when you’re in different rooms because this is her house and the last time you did that she tried to force you to show her your top surgery scars whilst calling them boobs.

Really cool and normal to have a parent try force you to watch Law and Order:SVU after you told them the night before you can’t take any rape or SA procedural dramas because of the rape they know you suffered thru a year ago and were apparently heartbroken about.

Really cool and normal that your mum will insist on talking about a man who used his position of getting me alone as a child to molest me. The same man who abused her, who your niece and nephew refer to as grandad.

Really cool and normal that you can’t properly safeguard your niblings because you know your sister, their mother, will dismiss the experience entirely and try gaslight you because he’s a helpful handy man to have around.

Really cool and normal that your mother will verbalise a blow by blow of the time you had to stand between him and her at 14 because you thought he was going to hit her; then ended up pissing yourself cowering on the bathroom floor after he kicked two doors down chasing you through the house to show you ‘your place’ and let you know what ‘real fear tastes like’. Just spewing up memories of it from her POV while your 15 yo nephew is pretending not to hear anything from 2 feet away.

Really cool and normal that you have to be the one to address that with him with a, “sorry you had to hear that about Micky” and knowing his “oh I wasn’t listening” was partially a lie bc you know he’s been conditioned into survival too.

ig this is semi relevant but it really bugs me out when people ask for sources about racism or sexism in a piece of media like….. the source is my eyeballs. i watched the show and used my brain to recognise the bigoted writing

I'm so lucky I really enjoy helping people understand how to analyse stories, but it can definitely be frustrating when people ask you for sources for things that seem obvious. my dad asked me how law and order:svu was copaganda the other day and I was so gobsmacked like, it's copaganda......because it's copaganda!??!? also had the worst time of my life explaining to my middle aged uni friend one time that a poc being in something doesn't make it progressive which was mind blowing to him. you realise it's such a huge issue (bigotry in media) and the reason it's so big is because people have been trained not to see it.

One day she and Alex argue and then out of nowhere Alex brought up the miscarriage and start blaming the reader. But in the end Alex will apologize and reader will forgive her then they make up.
