The King's Affection

This 20 episode long series is a different kind of historical fiction involving royalty. Fraternal twins switching roles. The wrong sibling gets killed and the one who was supposed to have died becomes the king. It is a love story rather than a regular historical drama that focuses on the politics. In this series, politics become secondary to the love story which made this story refreshing in that sense. I liked all the characters surrounding Lee Hwi / Dami - they were loyal and loved her.

Conflicts felt realistic within the plot and coupe at the end left us with a new king, a man who had never wanted to be king but was the only choice after the others died. Lee Hyun, was Lee Hwi's cousin and the son of the king Lee Hwi's father had taken out of the throne. But Lee Hyun had never minded, he loved Lee Hwi and their friendship meant the world to him.

I liked the ending because it gives a happy ending to the couple and we see everyone else happy. And to see all the friends together in the end was nice.

It's a beautiful love story set in the Joseon Era and less bloody than usual historical fiction. I really liked it.

A highly emotional rollercoaster border lining a wee lil bit on being over the top sometimes melodrama. It’s sooooooooooooo good though. I mean for me this is one of those hidden rare underrated gems that need to be hyped up more. I had no idea that it came out in 2020 being swept under the rug during the pandemic. It’s a very bing’ble show. Hell I almost watched the entire series in one setting. The entire cast did a remarkable amazing job, the ‘grandmother’ being played by her part brilliantly of one of the best villains, where you absolutely loathe her and cursing her left and right. Then to her opposite you have one of the best strong female leads I’ve seen in a long time played by Lee Yoo Ri (loved her equally in My Father is Strange) who kicked ass. I don’t know if I could’ve of gone through what she did as a character. She was dealt a bad hand in this one. Overall the drama is more intended for more of a maturer audience for its abusive themes and darker  material. It really is well written and highly recommended.

Asian male leads that went against the norms and redefined thirst traps for you?

For me it was lee joon gi from flower of evil! Who is the genius tell me!!! That decided to make this meticulous, detail oriented crafty man who is painted as a violent sociopath but turns out to be a huuuuuge softie in need of love and just wants to make his family happy and get some cuddles and stuff

Fun facts/notes:

-In two promos leading up to DGUSA, Mox focuses on Bryan’s use of the Lebell Lock, how he’s been “throwing it out left and right”, and saying he “called it” when Danielson uses it as his finisher to win the US Championship. It ends up being the finisher Bryan defeats Mox with at their DGUSA match.

-They would not face each other again until 2011, this time as Dean Ambrose and Daniel Bryan in WWE.

-Under these names they’d go on to have 87 matches with one another between the years of 2011-2015. 80 matches were fought against one another —the majority as part of a tag team, trios or more. 7 of the matches were singles. Link

-They also had one WWE match as a tag team in 2018, as part of a Tribute to the Troops special. Link

-“Daniel Bryan” was the very first person “Dean Ambrose” fought in WWE after being signed to his developmental deal in 2011. -In his first DGUSA promo Mox says he wants “something more” with Bryan. During the match, after making Danielson bleed, the commentator calls back to that promo and suggests the something more Moxley wanted is blood. -In their August 2010 match Mox kisses Bryan’s arm. In their September 2010 match, he kisses his mouth. Link

-At DGUSA, the ring apparently disappeared and they had to scrabble to get another one. Mox and Bryan both started getting excited about doing the match without one and even pitched the idea together of how they could do the show instead. Link

Aslında bu minik diziye yorum yapmak pek mantıklı değil ama izlemişken minikten anlatayım. İlk başta üniversite bitirme projesi gibi gelmişti. Sonra öğrendim ki meğer dizi reklam filmi olarak çekilmiş. Lotte World tanıtım amaçlı böyle bir fikir atmış ortaya. Her sene birkaç ünlü ile çektikleri reklam filmini bir tık öteye götüren firma 9 farklı ünlü ile çalışma fırsatı yakalamış.

Kadın karakterimiz Lee Cho-hee, Lotte Duty Free'de danışmada çalışıyor. 25 yaşına gelmiş ancak hiç ciddi ilişkisi olmamış bu yaşına kadar hiç öpüşmemiş. Bir gün bilmeden yardım ettiği Choi Ji-woo ona bir dilek hakkı veriyor. Karakterimiz ise dillendirmese de bir erkek arkadaşı olmasını ve “first kiss” anını yaşamak istediğini içinden geçiriyor. Gizemli kadın rolündeki Choi Ji-woo da ona 6 adet kart verip 10sn içinde mükemmel bir adamla tanışacağını söylüyor ve ortadan kayboluyor.

8-12dakikadan oluşan 8 bölümlük bir seri izliyoruz. Her bölüm başka bir ünlü ile bir gün geçiren kadın oyuncumuz, yakışıklı erkeklerle yakınlaşıp tam öpüşmek üzereyken yeni bir güne geçiyor. ünlülerimiz ise kendi isimleriyle ama farklı karakterler ile karşımıza çıkıyor.

İlk sahneye gelen isim Lee Joon-gi oluyor. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo ve The Flower of Evil dizilerinde kendine hayran bırakan “Bay Mükemmel”! karakteri küçüklüğünden beri kızımıza aşık olan çok zengin, kibar ve düşünceli bir erkeği canlandırıyor.

Hemen arkasından Park Hae-jin geliyor. My Love From the Star ve Cheese in the Trap gibi dizilerde dikkatleri üzerine çeken “Romantik Patron”! Uzaktan başrolümüzü izleyen, koruyan tehlikeli ve sahiplenici bir erkeği canlandırıyor.

Üçüncü yakışıklımız ise Ji Chang-wook. The sound of magic, Healer, K2, Backstreet Rookie gibi dizilerden tanıdığımız kaslı oyuncu “Seksi Gizli ajan” rolünde karşımıza çıkıyor. Hikayeye göre başrolümüz ile eski ajanlar ve bir görev sırasında Lee Cho-hee ile tekrar buluşmak zorunda kalıyor.

Aksiyonlu idolümüzü geride bıraktıktan sonra Kpop grubu EXO’nun üyesi olan Kim Jong-in, nam-ı diğer KAI’ye sıra geliyor. “Büyüleyici Öğrenci” rolü ile sahneye çıkıyor. Çinceyi çok iyi bilen başrolümüz sözde Kai’nin dil öğretmenliğini yapıyormuş.

Hemen arkasından, Ok Taec-yeon tehlikeli cazibesi ile bize doğru yürüyor. Vincenzo dizisindeki eşsiz oyunculuğu ile tanıdığımız bu isim “Zengin ailenin masum oğlu” rolüne bürünüyor. Hikayeye göre kızımız ile uzun süredir sevgililer ve ailesi kızımızı kabul etmiyor.

Hız kesmeden sahneyi Lee Jong-suk alıyor. W: Two Worlds Apart ve Romance is a Bonus Book dizilerinde sevdiğimiz ama Big Mouth dizisinde tekrar tekrar kendine hayran bırakan oyuncumuz burada da yine ünlü bir yıldızı canlandırıyor. Başrolümüz ile reklam filmi çektikleri bir kurguda yakınlaşmalarını izliyoruz.

Ve 6 kartımız bittikten sonra tam birini seçmesi gerekirken, sürpriz bir 7.kart ortaya çıkıyor; “Özgür Ruhlu Gezgin” Lee Min Ho. The Legend of the Blue Sea ve The King: Eternal Monarch dizilerinden tanıdığımız aktör diğer 6 yakışıklının aksine kızı tanımıyor. Kendisi ünlü bir yazar olarak bulunuyor.

Lee Cho-hee’nin ismini ve cismini ilk kez gördüm. Tek söyleyebileceğim şanslı olduğu 😊 güzel olmayan hatta bence aktörlerin yanında fazla yaşlı kalan bir oyuncuydu. Reklam filmi olmasından dolayı çok yorum yapmaya gerek yok. İzleyici bakımından keyifli 1 saat geçirmemizi sağlayan ilginç bir seri olmuş diyebilirim.

Extraordinary You

Come maratonarsi una serie in 3 giorni.

Mado' Extraordinary You mi ha letteralmente rapita. Sequestrata. Merito di una trama originale, un ottima fotografia, buon cast, eccellenti personaggi quasi tutti, ma soprattutto grazie all'idea di base e come è stata portata su schermo. Un applauso davvero.

La serie parte benissimo, in modo originale, divertente e interessante con gli episodi che scorrono via uno dietro l'altro. Andando avanti con la storia però, per me è leggermente calato: si perde la leggerezza ed il divertimento per lasciare spazio al dramma e alle situazioni serie.

I due protagonisti della storia, che inizialmente mi piacevano molto, mano a mano sono sempre più scesi nel mio personale indice di gradimento trovandomi dunque a fare il tifo e sentirmi emotivamente investita con i personaggi secondari piuttosto che quelli principali.

La storia d'amore parte in modo carino, costruito e romantico. Le loro scene sono super sentimentali, fatte benissimo e senti l'amore a 10 kilometri di distanza. Tuttavia andando avanti con la storia, la loro relazione mi ha un po' annoiata, trovandola ripetitiva, troppo perfetta e smielosa per i miei gusti. Tanto che mi sono concentrata su tutt'altro.

Ma oh, se me la sono maratonata in pochi giorni un motivo c'è: poiché scrivere commenti sensati e lineari non è da me, andrò per punti:

L'idea dell'essere dentro ad un fumetto non è una novità nel panorama televisivo. Ma ho trovato super interessante sia come hanno trattato il concetto di "palcoscenico " e "ombra" sia come i personaggi prendessero coscienza di se stessi, portando poi su schermo, battaglie emotive sulla loro esistenza e identità. E' stato molto piacevole vedere i personaggi, uno ad uno, capire di essere personaggi di un fumetto e vederli relazionarsi con questo. Tutta la parte circa il fumetto, le regole che lo disciplinano, i clichè dei storie romantiche, le bizze dello scrittore... questa è stata forse la parte che mi ha coinvolto di più.

Mi chiedevo per quale motivo lo scrittore avesse fatto un manga così banale. Cioè, la trama è Hana Yori Dango, più o meno. XD Persino i personaggi potevano capire quale scena sarebbe andata sul palcoscenico! Forse la storia del fumetto era così scontata proprio perché non era la parte importante della storia. In tal modo la serie si è concentrata sulla storia degli altri personaggi permettendo di non perdere minutaggio su una trama così ovvia, che era scritta nelle stelle.

Ho amato anche il concetto sull'essere protagonisti della propria storia. Quando si scopre di essere degli extra si può decidere di diventare i primi attori del proprio racconto personale. Gli extra non possono essere i main lead del fumetto...ma possono esserlo della loro storia. E' un bel significato.

Ho rivalutato tantissimo la protagonista del fumetto. La Cenerella che impersonava la classica protagonista femminile da shojo ma che alla fine si rivela una piccola mafiosa badass quanto basta per farsi valere e amare da me. Carinissima anche la sua relazione con Do Hwa, molto naturale e romantica.

Interessante anche il concetto dello stare sul palcoscenico ed essere costretti a recitare una parte che non si vuole. Finché i personaggi non hanno coscienza non c'è problema nello stare sul palco. Ma una volta capito di essere dentro ad un fumetto è frustrante fare e dire cose che non pensi e non vuoi solo perché qualcuno ha deciso così. Credo che la serie abbia reso in modo ottimale questo tema visto che ho percepito davvero tanta frustrazione da parte dei characters consapevoli nelle loro scene sul palcoscenico.

Tornando a Lee Do Hwa è stato uno dei miei personaggi preferiti. Lo scrittore voleva caratterizzarlo come un clichè del second lead bello, gentile, serio, pacato ecc ecc.. ma nella realtà era adorabilmente scemo. Ho amato i suoi dialoghi e la sua personalità divertente e brillante nonché il suo rapporto con la Dan Oh: insieme erano spassosi!

La serie mischia momenti intensi e tristi con scene più divertenti e comiche - soprattutto all'inizio - che spezzano la tensione e alleggeriscono la storia. Ritengo che su questo frangente abbiano fatto un bel lavoro anche se sul finale si perde la spensieratezza e divertimento per affogare in un mare di serietà.

Per quanto riguarda Dan Oh dunque, mi è piaciuta molto inizialmente. Ho adorato la sua personalità vivace e certi suoi commenti irriverenti. Vederla impazzire per la scoperta di essere in un fumetto mi ha fatto morire dalle risate più e più volte. Ho ammirato la sua determinazione e testardaggine nel voler cambiare il proprio destino anche quando le dicevano di non farlo. Ma...ma...ma poi s'innamora. Da quando inizia la sua storia con Haru il suo personaggio mi è lentamente scivolato nella noia poiché sembrava girasse unicamente intorno ad protagonista maschile. Voleva cambiare la sua impostazione per se stessa, per la sua identità, per autodeterminarsi. Ed invece mi è sembrato che alla fine volesse cambiarla solo per stare con Haru. D'altra parte però non mi sento di essere troppo cattiva con lei: è la sua prima cotta, il suo primo amore. E' normale che tutto ad un certo punto. giri attorno a questo.

Chi invece ho avuto difficoltà a mandare giù è stato proprio Haru. Chiariamoci, Haru è perfetto: bello, intelligente, gentile, premuroso, comprensivo, presente, simpatico, romantico...è perfetto. Troppo perfetto per i miei gusti. Il protagonista maschile di questa storia non pare abbia difetti, zone grigie o d'ombra. E per questo, mentre inizialmente mi incuriosiva il suo personaggio, piano piano mi ha stancato.

E questo si è poi riflettuto sulla storia d'amore. Ho provato davvero tanto a farmela piacere ma... nada. Non ho mai sentito il click, l'investimento emotivo. Poiché erano perfetti assieme e grondavano miele fuso non c'è mai stato conflitto, tensione, pepe nella loro storia d'amore. Tanto che i classici impedimenti sono stati tutti esterni alla coppia: perdita di memoria, cancellazione del personaggio ecc ecc.. Io ovviamente sono contenta per Haru e Dan Oh: buon per loro che hanno trovato l'amore! Ma ahimè non credo che vinceranno mai nella mia personale classifica delle coppie preferite.

Chi invece vincerà tutto è probabilmente Baek Kyung. Già l'anno scorso Lee Jae Wook era arrivato ad un passo dal vincere il premio " attore migliore dell'anno". Questa volta punta decisamente alla vittoria grazie ad una recitazione fantastica. Non mentirò: Baek è stato uno dei motivi che mi ha dato la forza di finire la serie. Ad una certa mi sono resa conto che sì, volevo sapere come sarebbe finita la serie...ma ancor di più ero curiosa di vedere quale piega avrebbe preso la sua storia.

La sua caratterizzazione e storia le ho trovate le più interessanti di tutte, così come il suo splendido arco di redenzione nel finale. Ho sofferto parecchio nel rendermi conto che alla fine Baek Kyung sarebbe rimasto da solo - ok ho pianto nelle sue scene finali - più che altro perché come da sottotitolo di questo commento, era diventato il mio personaggio principale. E vedere il "tuo lead" che capisce di aver sbagliato, chiedere scusa, comprendere di essere stato uno stronzo bastardo ed essere arrivato tardi alla realizzazione e affrontare un arco di redenzione ma alla fine non ottenere il lieto fine, ti fa un po' male. Se Baek fosse stato il protagonista di un altra serie probabilmente avrebbe ottenuto di più. Ma non lo è e va bene così. Sono già contenta che abbia avuto il suo riscatto...anche perché ne ha parecchie da farsi perdonare. Non scordo quanto a trattato a merda la sua fidanzata sia sul palcoscenico che nell'ombra! Un vero stronzo! E spero davvero, come gli dice Dan Oh, che alla fine trovi il vero se stesso e sia felice. <3 Tra l'altro adoravo le scene di Dan Oh e Beak Kyung da bambini: erano tenerissimi!

Conclusione: drama da vedere assolutamente anche solo per l'idea dell'essere parte di un manga e contemplare come si muovono i personaggi dentro a esso. A me la storia d'amore non è piaciuta ma magari farà innamorare altre persone che la adoreranno. Quindi consigliato per chi cerca storie d'amore. E poi c'è Lee Jae Wook in tutta la sua gloria...cioè che vuoi di più?!

For all his initial dislike of Batman, a year's worth of cases resulted in a somewhat grudging respect for the vigilante's intelligence and investigative skill, even if he never quite became any less strange and unsettling. Martinez developed a new found appreciation for Bruce Wayne as well, an odd but likeable man who was pleasant to work with in his own awkward way. During an investigation into a death possibly connected to Penguin, Martinez accidentally learns that the two odd characters he's spent an increasing amount of time interacting with over the past year are actually the same person, who's far more complex (and far more human) than he'd ever realized

If I wasn't prepared for the death grip The Batman had on my brain, I DEFINITELY wasn't prepared for falling into the Bruce/Martinez dumpster fire. I love them so much. I also got distracted while writing this fic, but I have the basic plot points mapped out, and on GOD I will finish this one too

Summary: When the market crashed four years ago, things went to hell for a lot of people. Eames has done okay, though- his job as a reporter at the New York Herald Tribune was secure enough that he managed to keep it, and he was good enough at it that he made enough to get by. He has a strict rule, though: no photographers. Working with freelancers has always been a crapshoot, and it's only gotten worse over the past few years. When the Rockefellers insist on a photographer for the Tribune's upcoming story on their new building, though, Eames is forced to choose between dropping the best paying story he's had in four years or working with Arthur, the freelance photographer hired on the recommendation of Eames' editor, Dom. He's an odd man who clearly has a past and who, as Eames spends more time with him, is just maybe worth getting to know a bit better.

My entry for the 2022 Inception Big Bang! It was inspired by a combination of a real life photographer and a surprisingly fun horror movie about WWI zombie parasites (no parasites or zombies in the fic itself). I had a lot of fun writing it, and it has some amazing art!

Title: Mile Deep Hollow

Summary: Eames had worked countless jobs with Arthur over the years, enough that he had long since picked up on Arthur's on-job habits. Long hours, little sleep, too much work shoved into too little time- that's just what Arthur was like on jobs. The Fischer job felt...different though. Arthur didn't usually start jobs looking this tired or worn down, and his insistence that he was fine didn't usually ring this hollow. It was worrying, and Arthur's increasingly unconvincing reassurances weren't doing much to help.

Everyone in extraction had their limits, even Arthur. And Eames knew he was getting close to seeing what those limits really were.

This is the fic I'm proudest of this year. Not only is it the longest fic I've ever published, but it was also one that had been sitting in my WIPs folder for 2 or 3 years. I really loved the concept but had gotten distracted and never ended up finishing it at the time. I'm actually really glad I waited because I think I'm a stronger writer now, and this fic ended up better for it. It's one of the angstier fics I've written while still having a happy (or at least very hopeful) ending, and I'm really proud of how it ended up turning out

And that's it! Adjusting to my internship work schedule was a process so unfortunately that cut down on the amount of time/brain power I could spend writing, but I'm still super proud of what I put out this (last?) year. To ever increasing skills and another year of good writing!

Turn your brain off and go with the flow. This drama is highly highly overly dramatic, think telenova, makjang, soap opera. Nothing follows through really with the storyline, so many plot holes, and the characters are dumb down to village idiots, except one character who apparently can get away with murder….seriously. OverallI couldn’t stop watching the series, it’s addictive as heck especially if you’re into this type of drama. Warning though, it’s over 100 episodes long.

“È letteralmente una collezione ed archivio a tema giovinezza” ha detto Lee Hyeri, un membro dell'Ufficio BX presso la BIGHIT MUSIC, riguardo all'album Proof e la relativa Collector's Edition. “Arriva sempre un momento nelle nostre vite in cui ci fermiamo e, ripensando al passato, realizziamo – oh, quindi ero così quando avevo 20 anni o 30 anni.. -, magari in un momento che siamo sdraiati a letto e rimembriamo quei giorni”. Le parole di Lee sono riflessioni valide e fondamentali anche per tutti gli altri contenuti legati all'album, incluso il trailer di presentazione per il logo e la mostra, in quanto ognuno di essi fornisce una retrospettiva sulla musica dei BTS, un diario ed archivio di ogni giorno della loro storia, nonché uno sguardo a tutti i loro successi dal punto di vista dei ragazzi stessi.

Mentre l'album è un'antologia che narra il viaggio musicale dei BTS fino ad oggi, la BTS EXHIBITION 2022 : Proof – iniziata il 28 settembre a Seoul e poi estesa anche a Busan e a Tokyo, in Giappone - dà concretezza fisica a quei raggiungimenti. Di conseguenza, possiamo trovarvi le copertine ed i loghi dei precedenti album sotto forma di sculture, installazioni create con gli oggetti di scena dal video musicale di “Yet To Come” ed i tanti poster dei loro tour esposti attraverso video e foto. Quando si entra alla mostra, si viene accolti da quella che potremmo chiamare una prova concreta “della solidità dei BTS attraverso porte in acciaio antiproiettile” in una reception similmente allestita, riportando le parole di Kang Eun Hwa e Kim Nahyung dell'Ufficio Commerciale per i Contenuti Culturali.

La seconda sezione, chiamata Continued Space / Spazio Esteso è tappezzata di drappi bianchi e intrisa di luce - come quella che vediamo nella versione Door delle foto concept di Proof—i quali creano un'atmosfera drasticamente diversa dall'atrio d'ingresso.

Con i messaggi scritti a mano dagli stessi membri dei BTS, gli oggetti di scena del video musicale di “Yet To Come”, le tante sculture e la musica che accompagna tutto il percorso, l'intera mostra è stata pensata come un'esplorazione di alcune delle idee contenute nell'album Proof, gettando anche luce sui concept che hanno ispirato e definito lo sfondo tematico del progetto, nonché come trasposizione concreta del messaggio dell'album in uno spazio fisico.

La History Photo Tower, allestita presso la mostra di Seoul, è una dichiarazione d'intenti ed un simbolo di ciò che la mostra vuole rappresentare. I due piani di parete, alti 7,5 metri, completamente tappezzati di foto tratte dagli album dei BTS vogliono raffigurare concretamente il percorso compiuto dal gruppo per arrivare a Proof, in una sorta di “viaggio della verità (Journey of Proof)”. Secondo Kang e Kim dell'Ufficio Cultura, quest'ultimo è il filo conduttore della mostra, nonché l'approccio che si è scelto di adottare, e la Torre Fotografica è stata pensata proprio per “offrire un colpo d'occhio sulla magnifica storia dei BTS”. Per assurdo, però, le foto esposte sono talmente grandi che è difficile assimilarle tutte, una ad una, passando di fronte alla parete fotografica, perfetta metafora di quanto straordinario e travolgente sia stato il successo ed il duro lavoro dei BTS in questi 9 anni. Così come la Collector's Edition dell'album dà una chiara idea dell'importanza dei traguardi raggiunti dal gruppo, la grandiosità delle porte in acciaio antiproiettile e l'ampia parete fotografica non danno che un'idea di quale sia effettivamente la scala e l'importanza dei loro raggiungimenti.

I frutti dell'impegno speso dai BTS per arrivare a Proof sono esposti in diversi spazi, come ad esempio i corridoi, dove è possibile guardare i video delle dance practice proiettati sulle pareti. Kang e Kim ci hanno spiegato che i corridoi sono “ispirati alle telecamere a registrazione continua e l'idea era che tutti questi contenuti video catturassero e dessero un'idea degli strenui sforzi cui si sono sempre sottoposti i BTS”, e hanno poi aggiunto che “il fatto che le opere siano esposte in uno spazio stretto come quello dei corridoi voleva essere una metafora di come il gruppo ha anche dovuto esercitarsi in luoghi disagevoli e anticonvenzionali”. La crescita e maturazione dei ragazzi sfila letteralmente di fronte allo sguardo dei visitatori mentre la scala e dimensioni delle loro sale prove si fanno sempre più grandi, in linea con la crescente popolarità del gruppo. La mostra racchiude tutto il viaggio frenetico dei BTS in un unico spazio, enfatizzato dal messaggio lasciato sul muro da RM: “I nostri 20 anni li abbiamo vissuti con assoluta intensità”.

Sebbene Choi abbia definito Proof “un album provvidenziale, necessario affinché i BTS potessero chiudere un capitolo e proseguire in quello nuovo”, dietro questo progetto c'è molto di più. L'obiettivo, in realtà era “dare un assaggio del nuovo capitolo nella storia dei BTS attraverso le canzoni scelte dai membri per il secondo CD, espressione dei loro gusti individuali, e l'onestà delle risposte date nelle interviste contenute nella Collector's Edition”. Similmente, nel video di “Yet To Come”, i BTS guardano con serenità ad alcuni simboli dei loro 9 anni di carriera insieme, ricontestualizzati nel presente. I ragazzi, inoltre, cantano “Il nostro momento migliore deve ancora arrivare”, facilmente interpretabile sia come un ricordo affettuoso del loro passato che come la loro volontà di continuare sul loro percorso senza mai fermarsi. A riprova di questa idea di continuo avanzamento, proseguendo nella mostra, troviamo un altro corridoio, a metà esposizione, in cui vediamo brevi video dei membri con in mano dei proiettili. Secondo quanto riferito dall'Ufficio Cultura, “i bossoli rappresentano i pregiudizi e tutte le difficoltà affrontate dal gruppo per arrivare dove è ora”, e il fatto che i visitatori stessi debbano proseguire in questa corsia per continuare la mostra è una rappresentazione spaziale concreta di come il futuro— l' “ignoto ed il nuovo”— sia “paradossalmente buio”. Lo scopo di questa sezione è esemplificare simbolicamente come “siano proprio i BTS ad illuminare questo tragitto verso l'ignoto”. Così, i visitatori hanno modo sia di lanciare uno sguardo al passato e alle origini dei BTS che di guardare ed aspettare insieme il futuro. Lee ci ha spiegato che l'album e la mostra sono intrinsecamente connessi e che questo corridoio dalle luci soffuse è stato studiato come manifesto “dell'idea che sta dietro alla mostra, ovvero permettere alle persone di toccare con mano ciò che rappresenta l'album Proof, così da averne un'esperienza ancor più completa”.

La parte più importante di questa mostra, però, è il fandom dei BTS, gli ARMY. In ogni sezione, luci erompono nelle sale immerse nella semi-oscurità, siano esse sotto forma di laser, come i raggi verdi rimbalzanti nell'atrio di ingresso, o la luminescenza che filtra attraverso passaggi aperti nello scuro Tunnel di Luce (Tunnel of Light). Secondo Kang e Kim, questa voleva essere una metafora di ciò che è venuto a crearsi tra gli ARMY ed i BTS e “l'influenza che hanno gli uni sugli altri”. Persino il più misero raggio di luce filtrata può trasformare uno spazio buio in un luogo accogliente e luminoso, esattamente come il testo di una canzone che, piano piano, si fa strada nel nostro quotidiano può darci una piccola spinta emotiva o trasmetterci l'energia sufficiente per dare una svolta alle nostre vite. Dato che l'obiettivo dell'Ufficio Cultura era “mostrare come tanti piccoli fasci di luce, riuniti insieme, possono dare vita ad un tutt'uno”, la mostra fa ampio uso di questi effetti luminosi. Gli elementi visivi, che stanno alla base della mostra, giocano molto sui concetti di luce e spazio.

È il caso, ad esempio, delle cornici fotografiche che i visitatori possono estrarre dalla parete, della scatola luminosa che ricrea il logo di Proof in un turbinio multicolore e della panoramica sul tour negli stadi dei BTS data da una serie di video proiettati su altrettanti teli. Ritroviamo questo stesso immaginario anche nell'installazione creata con i light stick ufficiali dei BTS, le ARMY BOMB che, esposte su un'ampia parete, si illuminano e cambiano colore al ritmo di “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey. Quest'installazione è stata “creata usando tanti esemplari di ARMY BOMB nelle loro versioni più vecchie” nello stesso modo in cui “nel 2020, in piena pandemia, le ARMY BOMB sono state collocate sugli spalti al posto del pubblico, durante il BANG BANG CON”, ci ha spiegato l'Ufficio Cultura. La mostra rivisita quell'esperienza in uno spettacolo di onde luminose mozzafiato, simbolo davvero brillante di quanto gli ARMY abbiano sempre fatto e rappresentato per il gruppo.

Choi ha spiegato che “il rilascio e le promozioni di Proof sono stati accompagnati da diversi progetti ed eventi pensati appositamente per i fan, proprio per ricordare loro quanto siano una parte fondamentale della storia dei BTS”. L'obiettivo era mostrare come gli ARMY siano sempre stati insieme ai BTS durante tutto questo Viaggio della Verità (Journey of Proof) e questo messaggio ed approccio artistico è il filo conduttore di tutta la mostra. Ad esempio, ad un certo punto, c'è una sala circolare in cui troviamo il logo dei BTS e quello degli ARMY installati uno di fronte all'altro, raffigurazione concreta di come, sebbene a volte il gruppo ed i fan sono fisicamente distanti, sono pur sempre connessi e quindi, usando le parole di Kang e Kim, “talvolta nel loro tortuoso percorso esistenziale, inevitabilmente, i BTS e gli ARMY si faranno guida gli uni per gli altri”. Il pubblico può camminare in mezzo ai due loghi, i quali sono la rappresentazione di un set di porte, provando così l'esperienza più multidimensionale dell'intera mostra.

La sala in cui sono esposti gli oggetti del video musicale di “Yet To Come” si basa su un'idea simile, con l'allestimento in bella mostra di alberi, un treno, dei container, una giostra carosello, un pianoforte, una rosa e la statua (dal MV di 'Blood Sweat and Tears'). In questo modo, gli oggetti ed i simboli visti nei vari video musicali dei BTS tornano a rivivere, dando così modo agli ARMY di ripercorrere la videografia del gruppo, seguendo passo passo le loro orme.

Ai fan che la visiteranno, la mostra saprà richiamare alla memoria vari momenti della storia dei BTS, grazie agli oggetti esposti sperimentabili con assoluta immediatezza, e ricordare loro

il momento nelle loro esistenze in cui hanno visto i BTS per la prima volta. È proprio questa l'idea alla base di quel “Io sono stat* qui” scelto da Choi come frase simbolo di Proof, quando gliel'abbiamo chiesto. Gli ARMY sono sempre stati parte integrante dei BTS, e ora possono immergersi concretamente in quella storia grazie a questa mostra. L'intero allestimento ripropone ogni momento del percorso fatto dagli ARMY insieme ai BTS, dall'inizio fino al suo culmine: Proof.

L'anno scorso, in chiusura del concerto dei BTS a Los Angeles, RM ha detto, “Noi siamo i proiettili e voi, ragazz*, siete sempre stati la nostra prova, quindi ora siamo veramente a prova di proiettile”. Sono state proprio quelle poche, semplici parole ad ispirare l'album antologia dei BTS, secondo quanto riferito dalla BIGHIT MUSIC. I BTS sono sia il proiettile che la prova e gli ARMY fanno parte della loro esistenza fin dal primissimo giorno. Ora che il loro Journey of Proof è accessibile a tutti per essere rivisitato, grazie a questa mostra, il gruppo può segnare la linea di inizio di un nuovo viaggio.
