If you’re like me and enjoy your BL occasionally sprinkled with trauma & heartbreak, I got you some good food. As you can probably tell, these BL stories are not for the faint of heart so make sure to check the tags before jumping in. Apart from Momentum - which compiles both happy and sad shorts - these are really tough reads that tackle heavy themes such as depression, prostitution, sexual and psychological abuse, addiction and the likes. Some of these are just a series of unfortunate and painful events, really. But I promise that all the suffering comes with moving love stories about healing, endurance, redemption and hope; so if you enjoy complex characters, complicated relationships, amazing world building and compelling plots, you can’t go wrong with these. SFD rewatch, episodes 1-5

One of the best first episodes of a series. Quickly and indelibly establishes the characterization of all the major players.

Love the kid actors, but mainly Lee Re as Boon-yi.

Piglet scene still as unacceptable as the first time. Come on.

Absolutely in love with the theatrical scene constructions, including how we meet Jeong do jeon (stealing a potato); the farce at Yi In geom's residence, Ddang-sae telling the story of "Viper", and the first time we see the Do Dang. I do love Jeong do-jeon inciting a riot (and Kim Myung-min's sexy sexy voice) but also? I think on the first watch and now, it felt a bit off. Mostly because the song becomes a swelling soundtrack over the scene- I wish they had just let it be Jeong do jeon's voice going hoarse and a few people singing it.

Got impatient with the segue into Gongmin's assassination, and at some points the name drops become tiresome. I know SFD was written for an audience familiar with these characters, and so this is on me, but having to pause every few minutes to look up wiki or bodashri's tumblr (seriously MVP of the SFD fandom) is not a great viewing experience for me.

Gil Tae mi -11/10 no notes, especially in that mango-yellow robe. Park Hyuk-kwon completely pussy out in this drama, playing twins who are polar opposites in everything except that they fight like ballet dancers.

Had to ffwd Yeon-hee's rape scene and aftermath. Yes, we get it, losing his mother and his lover are foundational to everything about Ddang-sae, but hoo boy, how about they'd...just not?

I just really, really enjoy Hong In-bang's villainy- his turn to it makes 50 times more sense to me that whatever is going on with that little psycho with his murder grove. [When he went on about justice preventing evil, my eyes rolled back in my head so hard. OKAY, you pathetic little meow-meow, if that works for you, I GUESS.]

Love that the writers re-used a line from TwDR- paraphrased, it's that "the people endure, while monarchies rise and fall". In TwDR, when Sejong says it to Jeong gi-joon, it's to refute his rather nihilistic view of the chaotic future where people are able to choose their own leaders; here Hong In bang uses it to justify raising taxes on an already overtaxed population. Writers nim, your minds.

Boon yi is THE BEST

Moo-hyul is a baby. Imagine watching the extremely boring Jo Jin-woong playing this character in 2011 and then waking up to Yoon Kyung-sang's adorable himbeaux portrayal in this.

Byun Yo-han is such a genuinely lovely actor; I just wish that Ddang-sae's whole trajectory wasn't unmitigated misery. It's harder on the rewatch because at least the first time I had hope. I think writer nims are fond of reminding us that being born poor , and consequently often powerless to resist constant degradation, is a lifelong curse that only a few escape- you see it in Kang Chae Yoon's fate as well- but I think Kang Chae yoon's fate felt like less of a punishment by capricious gods than Ddang-sae's.

Ok, but Byun Yo-han and that marketplace performance. LOVELY.

Ddang-sae's leaving Baek Yoon's dead body in the street like a prom invite for Sambong. (and then he went and left and actual note that says "whom do i kill next?") made me laugh. C'mon Sambong, take some time out from fulfilling your divine purpose to give this boy the railing he deserves. I feel like so many of both their problems would have been solved by this.

If it makes anyone feel better I have this headcanon that I'm 100% convinced is what actually happened of juwon faking the documents he needed to get lee geum hwa's body so he could claim it as family.

Reason being he was a bit Too Zoomed in on the documents chief nam had with him when he came to take min jung's body.

I mean c'mon, can't he do a lil bit of forgery as a treat? I'm pretty sure he can.

So Lee Geom Hwa has a family who claimed her body and it's Han Juwon, in this essay...

Isekai Anime Dreams

Author's note: This may be a Bad Idea. But… when your usually non-visual brain hits you with visuals, what the heck. I'm open to other music suggestions but currently the "placeholder" music in my head for this is I Want My Tears Back, by Nightwish.

Open with: A passenger airplane flying through a thunderstorm.

Lightning flickers as the view closes in on the faces of passengers; many nationalities, tired business travelers, regular people. Focus on an older blond man with graying hair (Jason Finn) reading a history of Korea. In the background across the aisle is a redheaded teenager (Mary Hartman) with her parents.

Lightning flash! The airplane lurches right, as gigantic black talons punch through the hull. People scream as chaos breaks loose in the cabin; oxygen masks, falling luggage, people tossed across the cabin. Jason grabs a stewardess’ hand, holds a moment - then she’s torn away, as the rolling beverage cart takes him out from behind. Cut to the airplane angling through the sky, falling, something large and lost in darkness atop it; a hint of horns, a flash of teeth, the shadow of massive membraned wings.

Silhouette of bodies falling through dark water. As they sink, the background colors fade from dark to red, bloody water. Air bubbles up, as Jason struggles up through the water, hanging onto Mary, hand reaching desperately upward....

Also note the qilin was not just the “eastern unicorn”, but in nations that had Confucian traditions it was used as a symbol by trustworthy soldiers and wise judges; the implication being that the bearer, like the qilin, would be harmless to the innocent, yet destroy evil.

Missing Love: The Marrying Man Due In English TODAY!

Well we just screamed down the chat… there was no hint, no news. Last year we were crushed when word got out that Missing Love was rejected at Lezhin, for get this, ‘being too dark’.

We at Digital Juicy were furious. The scanlations for this are blessed with a skilled and loving translator, but we had hoped for an offocial release. That Lezhin would reject this for being ‘too dark’, when some of the stories published are ‘dark dark’, seemed erroneous.

We speculated on the politics involved, as for the longest while, it has been very clear and apparent that Lezhin’s English team truly hates the English audience. And while we arrived at no conclusions, we all hoped she’d try another platform. A year later, this is what I just woke up to. Due today!

This story is pain… it is not fluffy. There are no chibis. The story is dark. But I will fight everybody in BL for Lee Geom, and increasingly Wooyeon (who I have been cussing for a long time, but is proving himself worthy). The smut is smutty, but the tragedy is tragic, so this is not titillating, it’s heartbreaking.

No character in BL makes me cry like Lee Geom. What a beautiful heartbreaking boy… do not go into this story expecting anything remotely heartwarming or fulsome. This is a grim and gritty story and if you’re anything like me, it will be hard to look away. Don’t look away.

The art is exquisite, with a style that often reminds me of Byeoduck’s, with a dark palette with only hints of warmth when Wooyeon is on screen.

The writing thus far has been tight, evocative and without ease up… it’s pressure in your heart from the first chapter.

And Lee Geom is beautiful… incredibly beautiful, even though he breaks my heart.

But I was wondering if you could tell me how you remove the invisible blocks (white blocks) from accessories that were converted from objects. I recently converted the Holiday Wreath in the Game Holiday Pack to an accessory, but when I tested it in CAS, it had the white blocks around it. So I just wanted to know how to get rid of that? Hello! I believe these blocks you say are the parts of the wreath itself. The Sims 4 uses white planes and only applies textures to them, making the mesh transparent so that white doesn't show.

Assuming you already know the traditional process of converting an accessory: When you are converting an accessory that is like this, I suggest you use glasses as the base mesh.

You will see that this mesh has two studio_mesh: one for the transparent part of the glasses and one for the solid part.

Add the mesh you want to convert, convert uv normally, and go to edit mode. Here, we are going to separate what will be solid (the ones that are not white planes) by selecting those parts with the L key on the keyboard.

Then, just press the P key and choose Selection

Now your wreath has two parts, in my case: one solid (1.002) and one transparent (1.001).

Now, before deleting the studio_meshes from the glasses, let's check in this icon which type and cut we should put in each thing. In my case, for the solid part GEOM - 0001 and for the transparent part GEOM - 0000.

Delete the studio_meshes referring to the glasses. You will rename the object's studio_meshes according to the glasses: for the solid part I renamed it with s4studio_mesh_1 and for the transparent part I renamed it with s4studio_mesh_2.

Finally, just link the object to some joint in the rig, as we normally do when we convert, and save.

Convert the UV image and it should show up transparently in your game. I'll leave this tutorial public, in case it helps anyone. And any questions, you can send a ask again.

Youngjae começou a atuar com 8 anos de idade apesar de não ter nenhuma experiência prévia e nem ter feito aulas de teatro até aquele momento, o garoto apenas foi participar da audição por influência de seus pais. Mas foi na atuação que ele encontrou seu grande talento, fazendo com que ele se animasse com a carreira e começasse a frequentar aulas de teatro para aperfeiçoar ainda mais. No seu terceiro ano como ator, participou de dois dramas fazendo os protagonistas mais jovens, o que fez com que ele conseguisse o prêmio de Melhor Ator Infantil por ambos. Apesar do sucesso, o jovem apenas havia atuado em papéis menores até o ano de 2012. Foi com o seu papel no drama Moon Embracing the Sun que ele ganhou popularidade, já que na época foi o drama com maior audiência, chegando a ganhar o título de “drama da nação”. Fazendo com que Youngjae conquistasse seu terceiro prêmio como ator, dessa vez na categoria Juvenil.

Mesmo com a popularidade elevada, Youngjae chegou a conseguir trabalhos como protagonista em diversos dramas durante sua carreira, mas infelizmente grande parte deles não foram de tanto sucesso como os anteriores. Um colega de classe havia lhe acusado de práticas violentas, chegando a falar que o rapaz por ser uma celebridade desde criança acreditava ser superior aos outros, os tratando com desprezo e violência. Nessa época Youngjae fazia parte da Cultural Media, empresa que ele havia sido contratado logo após sua abertura. A empresa em questão preferiu colocá-lo de hiatus por tempo indeterminado para conseguirem fazer as investigações necessárias sobre o caso. Com a repercussão negativa, o hiatus acabou se tornando seu momento de entrar para o serviço militar obrigatório, passando os 18 meses no exército enquanto a Cultural provava a sua inocência do caso, o que não demorou muito mais do que 3 meses. Apesar de ter sido comprovado sua inocência, algumas pessoas acreditam que a empresa usou sua influência para acobertá-lo. Mesmo após seu período no exército, Youngjae ficou afastado da televisão e dos cinemas por mais de um ano, por conta dos boatos da dívida de sua mãe, participando apenas de peças de teatros e programas de variedades, conquistando de volta seu público. Fez seu retorno em 2022 como protagonista do drama Link: Eat, Love, Kill e do filme Ditto.

Por conta de seus problemas familiares e de todos os boatos negativos, Youngjae foi um dos artistas a ser transferido para a Sense Entertainment assim que anunciado a abertura da nova subsidiária, passando por um sistema mais rígido que a empresa anterior com a ideia de evitar que novos rumores sejam lançados sobre o rapaz. Apesar de ter cortado ligações com sua mãe, o ator mantém uma boa relação com seu pai que esteve presente na conferência de imprensa de seus dois últimos projetos para mostrar apoio ao filho e espantar os rumores de que ele não tinha mais qualquer ligação com os pais.
