The upcoming LEGO Icons Transformers Bumblebee set that was recently revealed. Like the Optimus Prime set, it does transform. Now, unlike the Optimus Prime set, Bumblebee has a little bit of parts-forming with the front windshield which has to be removed for transformation both ways.

I am going to be completely honest, I am not a fan of this set at all. The first thing is that the vehicle mode is butt fucking ugly and doesn't even attempt to represent a VW Beetle and yes, I know it's not licensed by VW but, they could have made a better attempt. I also am not a fan of the fact the legs are just completely straight with no knees or anything. The ankles look like they could use some pivot joint for stability when standing in robot mode.

Now, something interesting is that all the pics of the set in robot mode are either from the front or very specific side angles and that's because if you look at Bee directly from the side, you see that it's hollow in the middle and that is super sad. I also thing the shoulders are too big. No, it's not in scale with the Optimus Prime set which, isn't something that I care about but, I know a lot of people in the Transformers community are scale nuts.

The set is comprised of 950 pieces and is set to release on July 1st for $89.99. I wanted the Optimus Prime set but, can't afford it. Even if I could afford it, I just don't want the Bumblebee set.

For my birthday this year, my wife got me this amazing LEGO Icons PAC-MAN Arcade set and I can’t wait to take a trip back to the 1980s with it!

This 2,651-piece replica cabinet is loaded with retro design details and fun features, including a 4-way joystick and an illuminating coin slot. Turning the handle activates a mechanical maze that simulates the classic chase between the fan-favorite characters, and the back panel can even be opened to view the working mechanical elements! I need this. The price tag is horrid, but I have a rule that I have to support Ukraine with twice the amount spent on Lego, so in the end, it will be a worthy purchase (that doesn't mean my support is dependable on Lego, that rule is just a way of balancing silly purchases with something meaningful).

I wonder WHERE will I put it. I need an inflatable apartment!

i have never enjoyed lego in my life (despite my mum trying to make me like it as a kid lol) but ben loves it so i'm sort of tangentially interested in it these days. anyway i often have to stop myself from buying this set and making ben complete it for me, bc look at it, holy shit. a bonsai tree made of pink frogs?!??!?!?!? how could that possibly be any better?!?!?
