How the aot veterans notice that you and Levi are secretly an item...
Erwin
Let's be honest, he knew it even before you two got together. Erwin is a very observing man, hardly anything that is going on in the headquarters can get past him. The first time he noticed that something was up was when Levi started to butt in while he was doing the plans for expeditions, always sneakily trying to put you in the safest position possible. It was always "Name isn't skilled enough to be here" or "She would do better if you put her over here". Another thing he noticed is that you two started to attend meetings late with some lame excuse, he just dismissed it but enjoyed how much you both struggled to keep the act up.
However one day you two don't show up to work at all, spending all day having "fun" in Levi's room and the excuses Erwin heard the next almost made him laugh. "And where were you two?" He asked as you and Levi entered his office, his eyebrow raised. "We were busy." Levi says but he knows that it's not enough. "I was giving her private training all day yesterday." Erwin nods, not believing a single word. "Is that so? And why didn't you inform me about this?" Levi scoffs, he knows he shouldn't lie to Erwin but he can't just say that you two were fucking like rabbits the whole day yesterday. "I thought that it wasn't important." Erwin sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose at Levi's words. "For Ymir's sake just say that you two were having sex and stop with this nonsense." Your mouth drops right open at the commander's words, a slight blush creeping on your cheeks meanwhile Levi scoffs at Erwin. Guess he did not have to lie to his superior officer anymore, the cat was out of the bag anyway.
Hange
It was their number-one entertainment besides spending the whole day doing titan research. They noticed it mostly because of Levi and how his behavior would change around you. Little things like, how often he sat next to you, how close the two of you would stand to each other anytime you were next to one another. One of the biggest giveaways was Levi's hand on your lower back which suggested that the two of you were already intimate with one another. They saw you once brush a fur off his uniform jacket, that was where Hange got their confirmation. For the next few weeks, they noticed even more, on one occasion, you had your hand resting on his thigh while you two were sitting down. It took everything in them not to bug you or Levi about it that is, until they saw love bites on your neck, they couldn't help but look at your neck and that's when they had to say something. "Damn name. Someone is getting it good huh?" You start to cough at their words and Levi looks up from his tea. "What are you talking about?" Hange snickers. "Your neck, Levi isn't going easy on you is he?" "Shut the fuck up four-eyes."
Miche
He is the one who keeps his nose out of everyone's business but even he couldn't help but feel intrigued when he noticed that Levi had your scent on him one morning. "Hmm.." He would hum, finding it strange just how strong your smell on Levi was. So he waited to see if you would smell like Levi too and he got his opportunity when you sat next to him in the mass hall at dinner. He side-eyes you, you indeed had Levi's cologne on you. "Mhh..." He hums again and looks between you and Levi. "So do you two use the same shampoo and soap or?" Miche asks, looking at your reactions. "What are you japping about?" Levi asks, already annoyed that Miche is asking such a thing. "Don't play me for a fool. You two smell like each other. Why is that?" You and Levi stay quiet and the silence is enough for Miche. "Ah, I see..." He can't help but nod in approval. "Well good luck. At least know we know where Levi is taking his stress out."
Nanaba
Now....she downright catches you two making out and it was by pure accident. She borrowed a shirt from you and wanted to return it so you told her to just bring it to your room when she had the time. Bad idea. Levi was sitting on your bed, you on his lap as you kissed passionately. His hands were rubbing your back under your shirt, you moaned softly against his lips. Levi's hands move to your hips and he grinds you on top of him, you get the message, and just as you are about to pull your shirt over your head when. "Name here is your shirt back- oh..." Nanaba stood in the doorway, her eyes going wide as she saw the position you two were in. It took a few seconds to register what happened but Levi spoke before you. "Fucking...fuck off. Can't you see we are busy?" He says, his voice harsh, his hands still on your hips. Nanaba chuckles. "Alright, alright, keep on....yeah. And use protection" "Out!" Levi yells and Nanaba smiles before closing the door behind her. "....I forgot to lock the door..." You try not to laugh at the situation when you see Levi's annoyed face. "Whatever. Now let's get back to what we were starting." You smile as he resumes kissing you.

Cadets Queen
A/N: This was inspired by a Tumblr Post I saw which got deleted 😭
Tumblr media
“Look at that ass.” Reiner mumbled as he looked towards the shorter girl in the dining hall.
”You’re not talking about Y/N are you? She’s a bit older than us from what I heard.” Jean muttered as he placed boxes of food down.
”If I had to guess, she’s in her early 20s. Maximum.” Connie said as he looked at the beautiful girl.
”I got a chance then.” Reiner said as he smirked mischievously and crossed his arms over his chest, still staring at the girl in the distance.
“Reiner, you’re so different from the older brother figure when you say stuff like this..” Armin mentioned, getting Reiner to turn his head to him, a shocked expression spread across his face.
”I don’t blame you for saying that though, she does have nice uhm boobs too.” Connie admitted as everyone looked at him, shocked.
”H-have some respect you guys! That’s a female you’re talking about..” Armin stuttered as he looked at Y/N, talking to Petra.
”She’s got good thighs.” Jean simply said, ignoring Armin’s comment and smirking straight after he stared at them.
”Armin is right you guys. Y/N may be pretty but you shouldn’t stare at a woman like that!” Eren said as he gripped the broom he held in his hand.
”What a hypocrite you are Eren! You say that like you don’t look up and down at her all the time.” Jean yelled, Erens face going red from embarrassment. “You really think no one sees?!”
”S-shut up Horse Face!” Eren shouted. “And I do not!”
”You g-guys should quieten d-down!” Bertolt interrupted as he tried breaking up the small argument. Looking up, they all saw Y/N glancing at the scene before them along with Petra. “S-she’s staring..”
Quickly waving at the group, Y/N awkwardly smiled before rushing away with Petra to the training ground. Blushing red, the boys began somewhat celebrating the small interaction with her.
”S-she smiled at me.!” Bertolt said as his face was flushed dark red.
”Bertolt don’t lie! She obviously saw how amazing I was at challenging Eren me ran away after she took a glimpse of me!” Jean exclaimed.
”Like hell! She probably ran away after seeing you horse face! She waved at me since I’m in the same squad as her.” Eren shouted.
”She looked so hot.” Connie said as he stood still, his face tinted pink.
”Did you see the way her body swayed as she left.?! I’m gonna marry her.” Reiner muttered to himself, which Armin heard.
”S-she was probably t-trying to be nice you guys!” Armin explained as he covered his bright red face.
“Oi.” A voice called out from behind them. Turning around, the emotion from their faces washed out as they met eyes with Captain Levi.
”C-captain!” Eren stuttered as he stood tall and saluted to Levi. “Do you need anything.?”
”Your cleaning is shitty as always. We have another experiment ready for you to do, so come with me.” Levi said bluntly as he walked forward.
”Will the Squad be their.?!” Eren asked enthusiastically, stopping the Captain is his tracks.
”Yes.” Levi grumbled, not wanting to turn back to see Eren sticking out his tongue at the other boys, but soon spoke up. “Y/N won’t be their since she’s busy helping with paperwork, Hange will be in her place.”
“Hah!” Jean exclaimed before zipping shut and allowing the Captain to leave.
”Dammit.” Eren muttered as he headed towards the hallway, leaving his guy friends alone. “Hange replaced with Y/N too..”
”She’s doing paperwork huh?” Reiner asked as he smirked again. “I’ll just walk by and y’know, ask if she needs help.”
”Reiner no.”  Connie grumbled as he held onto his leg as if it would stop him. “PLEASE! WE’LL SPLIT THE TIME! I BEG YOU.”
”You guys, that’s an invasion of privacy.!” Bertolt said as he follows after them, coming up with excuses to stop them from bothering Y/N.
”Reiner you damn bastard. Thinking you can allow yourself to do that to a woman!” Jean argued as he followed after them.
”You guys! We have actual chores to do y’know!” Armin said before running after the group. Meanwhile, Levi stood behind a large pillar listening to what they all had said. Even before he had stepped in, he listened in from the hallway right beside them.
None of them ended up hanging out with Y/N.
.
.
.
Weeks went by and each and every one of the newer recruits got to know Y/N and talk to her more, to which the other cadets seemed to sigh at or shake their heads. Some of the recruits even receiving compliments and nicknames made them think they had a chance.
”Y/N is allowed to sit with higher ups?” Armin asked confused as most of the newer recruits turned to see her. Y/N sat between Hange and Levi, Erwin’s seat being empty due to an overload of work. Mike sat down in front of the trio before zoning out once Hange talked about Titans.
”She must be a highly skilled soldier then, she gets to sit with her Captain too.” Connie suggested before munching on his stale bread.
“Hey Levi, can I go sit with Petra.?” Y/N whispered subtly.
”….” Levi thought as he looked at his Squads table. “No. Too many guys.”
”Please! I’ll only talk to Petra when I’m there.” Y/N promised. Levi nodded before sipping on his tea, Y/N got up before strolling towards the Squad. Most of the new recruits and some of the older ones stared as she walked over to the distant table and sat down beside the short haired girl.
”These new recruits never know yet still try and make a move.” Mike mumbled to Levi as he watched Erwin walk in. “Surprised it doesn’t piss you off every time.”
”Trust me Moustache, you don’t know what to feel.” Levi grumbled as he sipped on his drink moodily.
“Good Afternoon. What're we discussing?” Erwin asked as he sat down beside Mike.
”We’re talking about the new recruits and Y/N.” Hange giggled before stifling her laugh. “Not to mention Levi being jealous.”
”I’m not jealous.” Levi bluntly said.
”Doesnt she call those new recruits nicknames?” Hange teased. “I don’t think I’ve heard her ever say anything like the names she calls them.”
”She doesn’t need to, we already have trust with one another. Besides, ‘Levi’ is enough.” Levi answered, still curious on what the other nicknames Y/N called the newer recruits.
Eren made sure to sit at a good distance from Y/N but still close enough to her, Eld and Gunther talked together and stopped Oluo from trying to make a move on you. Meanwhile back at the newer and much louder recruits table, Reiner and Connie began arguing along with Jean talking some nonsense whilst Armin and Bertolt tried calling them all down.
“I clearly have a better chance with Y/N. You’re a horse-face in case you didn’t know!” Connie said as he looked at Jean.
”And you’re bald, what’s she gonna do with that bald head you got? Use it as a deodorant?” Jean angrily exclaimed.
”You guys really need to stop yelling..” Armin whispered to the duo.
”Yeah, yelling nonsense.” Reiner muttered. “Eren sitting next to Y/N, puckering up to her. Besides I have the best nickname so that means Y/N likes me best.”
”What’s your nickname then huh?!” Connie asked.
”You don’t need to know that, what happens with me and Y/N stays between us. That’s loyalty.” Reiner snickered.
”Calm down meathead. Y/N calls me the Great Stallion!” Jean said smugly.
”Only because Y/N was being nice to you. You really do have a horse-face.” Connie argued.
”You guys! Stop arguing, other cadets are getting annoyed.. especially the veterans.” Bertolt whispered shyly.
”Shut your mouth Mr Shy smile!” Connie said angrily, causing Bertolt to blush dark shades of red.
”Man those new recruits sure are noisy..” Nanaba muttered to Gelgar.
”I’m just glad one of them hasn’t said something too stupid yet.” Gelgar replied before chuckling.
”I’m just saying, I think I could take Y/N to the beds first and I’d be the best.” Reiner said confidently, loud enough for Levi to hear.
The cup in Levi’s hand had cracked as soon as the words left Reiner’s mouth, Erwin kept his calm posture however deep inside he was startled by the comment. Hange was close to balling her eyes off, whilst Mike had smirked.
”Never mind.” Gelgar muttered as he kept his head down.
”We spoke too soon.. Levi’s not going to take that right?” Nanaba asked quietly as she looked over at Levi’s table. All of a sudden, Levi stood up and walked over to his Squads table, heading towards Y/N.
“Captain, is there something you need-“ Y/N began to say. Very quickly Levi kissed her temple before grabbing her hand and kissing her knuckles too, in front of the Survey Corps.
”I’m going to do my paperwork.” Levi bluntly said as he tried dragging her off. “Let’s go.”
”O-okay.” Y/N stuttered before strolling away with Levi, smiling at his confidence. Meanwhile the whole of Mess Hall was quiet as they stared at the doors that the duo left in.
”She’s dating Captain Levi?!” Connie exclaimed, quickly breaking the silence.
”Isn’t he a lot older than Y/N? He’s like 35 and she’s probably 17!” Jean yelled, confused.
”She’s isn’t 17, who told you guys that?!” Eld asked from the distance. “Y/N is the same age as Captain Levi y’know!”
”WHAT?!” Eren exclaimed as he stood up, shocked at the announcement.
”Yeah! And she’s not dating Levi, she’s been married to him for the past… 7 years?” Petra said as she began pondering at the thought of their marriage length.
”God fucking dammit. All of the hot ones are always taken.” Reiner muttered as he slumped in his seat unhappily.

Levi comes up beside you, hand sliding over your waist to rest on your hip and hold you close.
"I don't know how to approach this so I'm going to break it down." there’s a hint of apprehension in his voice.
"Uhh, okay?" you're confused and look up at him to give him a look.
"You know I respect you right? and that I know you're not an object?" he waits for your answer.
A huffed laugh leaves you, "Yes? why, where are you going with this?'
"So thats been established. I don't see you as an object to possess or own?” another pause for your acknowledgment. " I just want to make that clear because I don't want to say anything that's gonna make you think that I own you or-
"Levi, what are you talking about?'
"There's a guy over there," he nods his chin in the direction of said man. "Who has been staring at you all night and I really don't like it and I wanted to talk to you about it but I didn't want you thinking I was being possessive. I just don't like the way he is looking at you, like he wants to own you or something but you belong to - wait never-mind, I just don't like it."
"Levi?"
"Yes, love?"
"Do you belong to me?"
He pauses for a moment to really think about how to answer you. "Yes, I think I belong to you."
"And do you think I belong to you?'
"Well, I like to, I hope you do."
"Then I do."
"But you know its not in a toxic way, I'm not being controlling.”
"Yes, baby I know, but for all intents and purposes, you belong to me and I belong to you.”

Letters from the Other Side
Tumblr media
The sea washes over the sides of the steamship, taking with it the algae stuck to it. You almost hope the waves can take you with it, the nerves getting the better of you as you leant over the rail. Come see me, you read the letter over and over again, your stomach fluttering, I want to see you.
CW: Post-war Levi x fem!reader, civilian!reader
A/N: Some post-war Levi goodness after the angst I’ve posted this past month. ~2.5k words of fluff and romance. If this does well, I’ll probably write the super romantic smut next.
Credit to @cafekitsune for the dividers!
Tumblr media
Three years after the Rumbling and things were starting to return to a sense of normalcy in the Stohess district. At least as normal as things can get when the twisted mentality of the Yeagerists and their seizing control of the military dominated the news. Your mother and father tell you not to worry, but you’ve been worried ever since the walls disappeared and the Survey Corps regiment disbanded.
Or rather, you have only really been worried over a single person, the man with the raven locks and the dull gray eyes, dull eyes that glittered when you spoke to him. You were still a woman, and a woman has intuition for those sorts of things like attraction, and Captain Levi couldn’t help how flustered he got whenever he saw you. Your father was the owner of a blacksmith company, and you often bumped into Levi along with Commander Smith several times a month.
Humanity’s strongest, you’d think in awe, where you had imagined a big brute, now you saw the man for what he was.
Why’d he come along was always unknown to you, but as your father and the commander spoke privately in another room, you offered small conversation and tea while he waited. Where small talk began, somehow a deep appreciation for the other bloomed, and the visits began to feel like the visits of the suitors that bombarded your home on occasion. He’d gift you single flowers, it’s all I can afford, he’d say meagerly. You’d thank him with a kiss on the cheek each and every time. And each and every time a ferocious tinge of red would adorn his face.
The timing never seemed to be right with either of you, it always seemed like when one was ready to take the leap, the other had other obligations waiting. Wait for me, were his selfish last words to you and you nodded your head as you gave him a final good-bye.
It had already been three years. You were already on the cusp of giving up.
It had been a nice breezy morning when you received his first letter. The unfamiliar stamps had caught both you and your parents off-guard, but nonetheless they gave you the privacy to open it. There, in the small garden of your home, tears welled up in your eyes as you skimmed through it.
It was a letter from Captain Levi.
Or rather Levi, just Levi, as the letter so said. I have told them to stop calling me captain, but these brats never learn. You giggled inwardly at his words, tears welling up in your eyes. You read it one more time, much slower this time, familiarizing yourself with his handwriting, the slant in his letters, his signature, everything. You familiarized yourself with the names Gabi and Falco, children you did not know but instantly loved with the way they cared for Levi.
At the very bottom, a hopeful wish that you will respond, signed next to his name.
Of course you will.
Your father stood confused as you gathered parchment and a pen to write, finding it odd that his moody daughter was suddenly so lively. Perhaps it’s the engagement, he thought, and let you be.
Your ring twinkled under the summer sun, and yet nothing has caused more glee than the very letter you were responding to. You wrote about the situation in Paradis, you wrote about the kindness of the queen, and you wrote about how business was booming for your father, despite the war having been over. The thought saddened you, but you quickly sign the letter and add a note that you excitedly await his next letter.
It’s not that you fail to mention your engagement, rather some deep part of you didn’t want to mention it. Your betrothed was a good man, hand picked by your father, you had accepted to keep his worries at bay that you wouldn’t end up husbandless and with no children.
How quickly Levi’s letters can have you questioning your familiar duties.
We restored some of the land ruined by the war, Levi writes, many foreigners are starting to settle here again.
You can’t help the sense of admiration that fills you up. It filled you up when he’d visit with the commander, and it still filled you up now. A military man, you wonder if he’s still as strong as when you met him. Humanity’s strongest, you wondered if he still thought about you and the flowers he’d gift you.
I’d like to visit it one day, you write, perhaps a change of scenery would be nice. All this yeagerist talk has me going mad.
I’d like to visit you one day, you will yourself to write, but you don’t. You had been lovestruck years ago, perhaps the captain no longer harbored the same feelings. Perhaps the captain has found someone new, perhaps the captain has married.
Sadness consumes you. After all, you were just friends back then, right?
You trash your letter and write a plainer one instead. It hadn’t even reached half a page when you sealed it, wrote his address on the front of it and set it aside for the postman to pickup tomorrow.
“Honey,” you can hear your mother call, “James is here to see you.” You force your best smile to greet your husband-to-be.
It’s weeks before the next letter arrives. The pretty orange and red tree leaves were beginning to fall, a cozy chill running through the district. Your wedding preparations were already underway when the postman calls out to you, a single letter in his hands, the stamps it bore already familiar to you.
More talk of restoration, recovery, Gabi and Falco’s shenanigans, when finally you reach the last bit of the letter. I don’t mean to bother you, Levi writes, your last letter felt abrasive. I understand if things have changed. Everything has changed.
You wonder what goes through Levi’s mind when he writes to you.
No, things have not changed. Things still felt the same, at least they did to you. Still, you couldn’t ignore your engagement anymore as you saw your mother debate through wedding ribbons in the distance and you finally will yourself to write and tell him the news.
I’m engaged, it feels awful to write it, my engagement is a long one, though, and so I’m sorry if the letter was short. I must’ve been busy.
You write of other things, of the rising tension amongst good folks like your family who didn’t want to fuel another war, and the yeagerists. You write of how the talks of peace by the ambassadors (who you found out were actually part of the same regiment as him) were falling on deaf ears.
I’d like to see you, you finally write, I’d like to see what the other side looks like.
You add the last bit in a final moment of hesitation, sign your name and set it aside, a deep breath falling from your lips.
“You’re changing the wedding date again, and to a later date might I add,” your father bellows out to you.
“Father, please,” you reply, exasperated, trying to escape the dining room and into your own, a new letter in hand, “I will get married in time, what’s the rush?”
“The rush is that you’re not young anymore, I beg you to reconsider.”
You shut the door behind you, shaky fingers coming to pry the letter open. You force yourself to read slowly, absorbing every single inked word coming from Levi’s fingertips.
You skip his polished words of annoying governmental policies being implemented on his side and go straight to the heart of the letter, his real response to you.
Congratulations on your engagement, he begins, I’m surprised you haven’t even married yet.
That? That is what he has to say? You scoff, a slight irritation blooming.
I don’t look like before—I’ve lost an eye and my right hand is destroyed, his letter continues, I look awful.
I’m not humanity’s strongest anymore.
You don’t know why these words strike you deeply. Years and a great distance separate you from what Levi is or was for that matter, yet it isn’t Levi’s exterior that ever affected you in the first place. It was the small talks and the small gifts, it was his tinged cheeks and his intrepid way of speaking around your people who have only seen the refined things in life.
You could never look awful to me, you write in your response, a wave of heat flaring up on your cheeks, you’re just trying to get me not to go.
Levi’s letters continue well into the deeper part of winter, the leaves have long since fallen, snow beginning to gather amongst the branches. The winters where he lived were harsh, and he writes of how they were causing the ache in his knee to worsen. You spend some of your money to send him some ointment you purchased from a local medic.
He writes to you of how the snow reminds him of when the Survey Corps would serve hot chocolate on the off chance. You send him chocolate you bargain off a local vendor.
The signs of Levi’s homesickness don’t escape you, even if he doesn’t admit it.
I could send you Stohess’s entire stock of goods if I can, you respond to his letters of thanks.
What would I do with all that, he responds to yours, breaking you into a fit of silent laughter.
I’ve missed your awful humor, you write casually. You wonder if you should trash this letter and begin a new one, but you don’t. I’ve missed you, you finish writing.
The budding roses in your garden remind you of your predicament.
“As much as I respect you,” James begins, “I won’t accept any other change to the wedding. If you won’t marry me then I’ll find someone who will.”
You comprehend his irritation, even if you don’t fully understand it.
He leaves you on your garden bench, exiting through the gate, just in time for the postman to arrive. Your feelings don’t subside, in fact they linger as you read Levi’s next letter.
Upon opening it, nervousness hits you as you see just how short the letter is. Policy change, annoying policy change.
The ambassadors have told me that postage to Paradis will be barred soon. Your eyes widen. Despite the nice spring breeze, your body suddenly feels so cold.
If I don’t hear from you again, I wanted to wish you a happy marriage. Your eyes well with tears, but it’s his next words that move you.
Unless you change your mind. Come see me. I want to see you. Just as you’re about to trash the envelope, a small flower catches your eye. It was dried up and rather lonely, but you hold it close to you as small tears slip down your cheeks.
The next morning, you try to give the postman your next letter but he just shakes his head in response.
“Apologies ma’am, the military has ordered a full stop for all international mail.” You thank him anyway, despite how distraught you feel.
Your wedding is within two weeks. The white dress in the corner of your room haunts you. Although lace with spring flowers were added to match the season, it only made it look like the kind of dress you wore on your deathbed.
There was no more rescheduling your wedding date, there were no more letters to look forward to, you could only look over the last letter, his final request.
You longed for Levi. Did he long for you?
Come see me, I want to see you.
Despite the spring air, a heat that resembled summer humidity burned through you.
“It’s a one way trip if you decide to head to the other side,” the hefty man tells you, “military has barred all incoming and outgoing mail, I wouldn’t be surprised if they bar incoming ships soon.”
This was it, the point of no return. You had written your last letter addressed to your parents—an apology for doing what you are doing. No, your heart hasn’t seized its rampant beating since Levi’s last letter. You need to see him.
You board without much of a glance back.
For days, sea sickness threaten to put a damper on your good (albeit nervous) mood, your only fuel the letters stored in your small suitcase, rereading them every night as the darkness of the ocean tormented you.
Finally, the crewmen announce that you will be arriving in the morning. The sun was setting off in the horizon—you clutched his last letter as you take a brief moment to absorb this feeling of resilience that surged through you. You’d get to see Levi soon, you’ve waited enough. Here, near the rails of the ship, you long for him, nerves filling your stomach.
The sea washes over the sides of the steamship, taking with it the algae stuck to it. You almost hope the waves can take you with it, the nerves getting the better of you as leant over the rail. Come see me, you read the letter over and over again, your stomach fluttering. I want to see you.
Past the plethora of persons disembarking, past the many political volunteers ushering about far-off dreams of peace that were unachievable, you navigate through unknown territory in an effort to find him. Fingers pointed, people spoke foreign directions as they glanced at the address on your envelope. It has all brought you here.
Face to face with a young girl, too young to be married.
“Ah—sorry,” you begin, “I was told Levi Ackerman lived here.”
“Yeah he does,” she begins suspiciously, “I’ll get him.” The door closes again and already you feel out of your element. Perhaps this was a mistake, you wish the ground can swallow you whole. Peering eyes look at you through a nearby window, ones that belonged to the young girl who just spoke to you, and another who you haven’t met.
“That’s her? No way,” you can hear them say. Suddenly the door opens, and dull gray eyes that bore a hint of annoyance soften and make way for a familiar glitter that reminded you of simpler times.
“Levi.”
He whispers your name, suddenly hiding his maimed hand, trying to get you to see his good side, the side with his working eye. But you don’t see that. You see the man who gifted you flowers, you see the man whose cheeks you once kissed.
You will yourself to move and you do, grabbing the hand behind him and crashing into him in an embrace. Levi’s face is red, and he glances at the window to see Gabi and Falco gawking at them. He waves them off annoyingly and they give him a thumbs-up as they pull away.
Hands come to wrap around you, lips kissing your forehead.
“You came,” he whispers into your hair.
“Of course.”

It was cleaning day in the Ackerman's household.
"Great job you two!" You said as you pat your children's head. The twins just finished wiping the windows by themselves.
Looking at you three, your husband Levi Ackerman stopped vacuuming and walks towards you. He bowed so his head is at your eye level and says nothing.
"Levi?" You're confused by your husband's gesture.
"Papa wants a head pat too!" Your daughter points out. Your 5 year old son nodded in agreement.
You wondered how your twins could figure that out easily. You smiled to yourself before giving Levi a headpat he deserved as well (and a kiss on his cheek, for no reason other than to see your husband blushed).

Husband! Levi whose first customer in his tea shop was you.
Husband! Levi who instantly fell in love with you. You became a regular in his tea shop and he always remembered your everyday order.
Husband! Levi who proposed to you a few years later and the two of you got married.
Husband! Levi wakes up with a smile everyday seeing your sleeping form beside him. Every morning he kisses your forehead.
Husband! Levi and you make breakfast together. The kitchen filled with your giggles.
The wind flows in through the window beside your kitchen as you sing softly. He hugs you from behind and rests his chin on your shoulders.
Oh how he loves your voice..
Husband! Levi loves listening to you talk while he brews tea for the both of you.
Husband! Levi who hangs up paintings and illustrations made by you on the walls of his tea shop.
The tea shop has little of you everywhere. Things that remind him of you. Unbeknownst to you, he has dedicated himself and the tea shop to you.

He clicks his tongue, swatting your hand away, “Don’t touch me. I can do it myself.”
“No, you can’t, Mr. Ackerman. Please, just let me help you . . .” You plead with a huff as he resists your aid once again. You rush to his side as he stumbles again. His pride and mulishness keeps him from accepting your help, despite your insistence that he can’t reach the bed on his own.
He grumbles as you place a hand on his shoulder, “I told you not to touch me, didn’t I?”
Despite his words, he doesn’t push you away. In fact, he doesn’t even try to resist. He lets out an annoyed sigh.
“Why can’t you just listen, Mr. Ackerman? You’ll fall and hurt yourself even more if you try to stand up!” You continue to try and reason with him, all the while you gently push him down onto his wheelchair. A scowl crosses his scarred yet handsome features as you wheel him to his bed and help him onto it. He stays silent as you do so, and he begrudgingly allows you to drape the sheets over his legs.
“You’re treating me like some damn child,” He retorts.
You speak to him softly, “You need to be taken care of, sir, you’ll kill yourself if you continue like this.”
With that, you place his favorite book on the nightstand next to him and leave only the dim lamp on. You stop in the doorway to smile at him, “Goodnight, Mr. Ackerman. Don’t stay up too late.”
He only grunts quietly in response, and his scowl softens into a light frown as you leave, the door clicking shut behind you.

Random Levi thought #14
He hangs every single drawing and letter his kids make. Levi keeps them all on the wall in the kitchen, anytime he is feeling down or sad, he looks at that wall to remember how far he has come, how much he is loved, how you gave him his children, and a reason to move on. Eventually when his hair is gray and he is older. He would look at that same wall again, this time hanging up a drawing his grandchildren did for him.

Pretty as a Picture
Fluff
Levi Ackerman x gn!reader
When you’re exploring Marley with Levi and co., you find yourself enthralled with some new technology…
Warnings: slight cussing
When you and the others left for Marley, you had no idea what you were getting yourselves into. You were terrified that the outside world was going to be a vision of disaster and leave your high expectations completely unmet. However, when the boat began to dock at the port and you got a glimpse of the bustling city, you practically had stars in your eyes.
“Hange! This is so exciting! Look at all the new developments!” you gushed, taking in the foreign sights. They agreed wholeheartedly, rambling about certain things they had read about over the years that were going to be investigated today. Levi wanted to roll his eyes at your over the top excitement, but he had to admit he was very curious about life in Marley as well. As the boat started letting people off, you nervously ran your fingers over your outfit, desperately trying to straighten out the high quality fabric of your disguise.
“Are you trying to impress these people or something? Stop fussing. You look fine,” Levi said, leading the way off the boat without giving you a second glance. You looked at Hange, who just shrugged their shoulders and ran after Levi. You and the Survey Corps captain were in the newer stages of a relationship. You had known him for years, rising up the ranks together, and had shared a close bond for most of that time. Not too long ago, you both realized your relationship held the element of attraction for one another and after an awkward confession from the both of you, your deep companionship turned into a budding romance. It was all new territory for both parties, neither of you having much experience in the dating department, and the two of you were trying to figure out the right balance between your old selves and new title as lovers. You tried not to worry too much; Levi didn’t seem the type to break up with someone. If he chose to be with you in a romantic way after being your friend for so long, you’d most likely be together long after your bodies were consumed by the soil of your shared grave.
You hurried off the boat, your party waiting for you with anxiousness to get the trip started. On solid ground once more, Levi took his usual spot next to you. You smiled internally at the gesture. This relationship would have no hand holding (for the foreseeable future), but his closeness, akin to a guard dog, was better than that. Out of the corner of your eye came a flash and both of your heads whipped around to see what it was.
“Hange!” You pointed to the area from which it came, “What is that?”
“That’s a camera! It makes photographs like the one we saw in Eren’s basement,” they explained.
“So cool,” you breathed out. “What I wouldn’t give to have one.”
You suddenly found yourself being dragged over to the camera, Levi having an iron grip on the extra fabric of your sleeve.
“My partner wants one photograph, please,” he told the man working the contraption.
The man laughed a little, clearly figuring out you weren’t from the area. “One photograph, huh? That’s quite alright.” He turned to address you. “You can sit right here and pose.”
You nodded, slightly nervous but trembling with excitement as Levi handed the man the money.
“I’m going to count to three and when the flash is over, you’ll be good to go.”
You weren’t quite sure exactly what to do with your body as the man started his count but when you saw Levi watching you intently, you relaxed and broke out into the biggest smile. The flash went off and you were told to wait a few minutes for the photograph to be ready.
“Oh! Sir? May I please have one more? I would like one of my boyfriend,” you said, looking at Levi expectantly.
His eyes went wide, shaking his head. “No way. Your memory isn’t that shitty to where you’ll need one of these to remember what I look like, is it?”
You gave him the biggest puppy eyes and poutiest face you could muster. “Please, Levi? For me?”
He sighed, giving the cameraman more money. “Fine. But you have to be in it with me, brat.”
You cheered when he stood next to you, you on the seat once more, and you could tell he was nervous.
“Just relax and look at the circle in front of you. You don’t have to smile or anything if you don’t want, just think of a positive memory or place. That way it’ll look natural.”
As the man did his countdown, Levi frantically tried his best to look comfortable and right before the flash went off, he knew exactly what to do.
During your wait for the photos you heard commotion from the group about “ice cream” so of course you bounded over, Levi trailing behind you. When you got your hands on the treat, you took a big bite of it which was a huge mistake.
“It’s so cold! My teeth! Ouch!” you exclaimed, your mouth open as you tried to fan it out. Levi watched you complain to the teens that they didn’t give you a fair warning that it was freezing, a small smile on his face.
“Tch, give me that. You’re going to drop it,” he said, taking the cone from you. Learning from you the wrong way to eat it, he snuck a taste using just the tip of his tongue. It was cold, sweet, and a total waste of money—but if you liked it, he would gladly bring home the entire cart and the recipe. With plans to meet back up with everybody after you got your photographs, you and Levi headed over to the cameraman.
“That was very kind of you to let me get those taken,” you told him. “And I love that you did one with me. That means a lot, you know.”
“It’s no problem,” he muttered, eyeing every passerby so that they didn’t get any ideas of messing with you. His time in the Underground made it so that he hated being in large groups of people, crooks and crime always lurking about in those environments. He certainly didn’t want you to be swept up in any of it either, so his senses had been on high alert the entire trip. Thankfully that was the case or else right now you’d be splayed on the ground, grievously injured. Not from a criminal, but from some machine called a “car.” You two had to cross the street to get back to the cameraman but in your haste, you had forgotten there were technological advances you weren’t used to roaming around the city. You stepped off the sidewalk, chatting about something called a “balloon,” when a car came careening down the road, going much too fast for a busy pedestrian area. Levi had noticed it in the nick of time, grabbing you by your waist and pulling you out of harm’s way. He couldn’t even find it within himself to yell at the driver, too concerned for your well being.
“Are you okay?” he asked, hurriedly looking you over for injuries.
“Yeah, I’m fine, but,” you pointed sadly to the ground where your ice cream lost its life, “my ice cream isn’t.”
That earned a Levi eye roll. “Forget the food. If you keep up this carelessness, the photograph is the only thing I’ll have left of you after this trip.”
You sighed since he was right, as always. “I’m sorry.”
“Just pay attention. I’d hate for you to survive everything we’ve been through just to get taken out by some horse wannabe.”
You burst out laughing, Levi unintentionally lifting the mood. He never thought of himself as an overly funny guy but the way he had you gasping for breath after a hard hitting sarcastic remark would’ve made anyone certain he was a comedian.
The man with the camera handed you the finished products and you excitedly examined your solo one.
“Levi! Look! It’s my face!” You shoved the photograph toward him and he looked it over.
“It is, isn’t it?” he said, his voice laced with a hint of amusement and wonder. He tucked it into his hat for safekeeping (and he kept it on his person every day after that so you were always together; it had miraculously survived the blast from Zeke). When you saw the photograph of the both of you, you were at a loss for words.
“We look so… pretty. Happy. Normal.”
Levi caught a glance and hummed in agreement. He was ecstatic that his actions translated well through the camera.
Before the flash had gone off, he had put his hand on your shoulder.
“What?” you had asked him, turning away from the camera to look at him, thinking he had a question. Instead, you were greeted with steel blue eyes that were gazing lovingly at you, while Levi’s lips were curled into a soft smile. He was the epitome of handsome and you had practically melted, lovesickness etched all over your features and the camera flashed, capturing it forever.
“I’m keeping this one since you have the other one,” you said, tucking it in your chest pocket. “Me and my shitty memory want to make sure we remember this forever.”
You nudged Levi in a teasing manner and he just shook his head. Finding your way back to Hange, you felt a sense of peace wash over you that you didn’t think would be possible in foreign lands, and that was all thanks to Levi. Even if you didn’t always express your love in the most conventional ways, he proved his loyalty and trust in you time and time again. You hoped your photographs would be preserved and serve as proof that the so called island devils weren’t evil after all—they were people, too. People who could laugh and smile.
People who could love.

Levi sleeps peacefully only when he's sleeping on your chest. The calm melody of your heartbeat calms his nerves down and pushes his nightmares away. Not to mention your breasts are the softest pillow to him. And no matter how much your back aches due to laying still for the whole night (since Levi's a light sleeper and a slight movement wakes him up)... You still drag his ass to bed, make him lay down on your chest, caress his hair and lull him to sleep. And when the other cadets start to wonder why Levi's eye bags are vanishing... You can't help but smile proudly.

If Levi had a son, that kid would be 6'4 when he grows up and the worst part is Levi doesn't even know how that happened. His first theory is that he picked up the tall gene from Kenny or someone from your side. His second theory is that his son is the height he would be if he didn't grow up malnourished as a child in the underground. Its funny when they stand side by side too, same face, same stance but the height difference makes people think that Levi is the son haha.

Imagine meeting Levi in the Underground City as a child and befriending him along with Furlan and Isabel. He tells you everything and you tell him everything to the point you both steal for each other. But suddenly you’re getting chased down by the Survey Corps and meet Erwin. He ‘rescues’ you all from the Underground and eventually you befriend him after years of knowing him.
Only problem is, who of the two will take your heart after you’ve taken theirs.

my fucking elbow!
~ levi ackerman x reader ~ tags/cw: fluff, explicit language, established relationships, canonverse. ~wc: 530
The piercing howl that rips from your throat has Levi jumping into action. Springing over his desk and across the small office, he is in the dim kitchenette a second after the cry left you. He pants as he searches for you, eyes frantically darting around the room, heartbeat quickening with each passing second until he spots you crumpled in on yourself, arms wrapped around your shaking frame, fingers gripping your elbows.
"What's happening, why are you? What's wrong?" The words spill out of him, an unfiltered stream of concern flowing between his lips.
Levi reaches you, dropping to his knees on the hard tile and grips your shoulders. He tears you upright, panic flooding his bloodstream in a cold flash. Tears line your eyes, eyebrows furrowed in pain, and teeth gritted as you hiss.
"My fucking elbow."
Levi blinks slowly, pulling away from you as the realisation sets in.
"I hit my elbow, and it really hurts." You're crying now, fat tears spilling over your cheeks as you rub your aching joint.
Levi sits back on his haunches, a smile cracking at the absurdity. You, a decorated war hero and veteran, had just screamed and carried on as if you had been fatally wounded. He had seen you rip an arrow from your thigh, patch together your slashed arm, reposition your dislocated knee without so much as a cry, and now a knock to your elbow had you seizing up and crying?!
"Stop laughing! It hurts!" you whine, weakly kicking at your laughing husband.
"I'm not laughing at you; it's just the situation," he explains, pushing your hair back from your face. "I've seen your experience worse, and this is the injury that brings you down?" it is impossible to keep the laughter from infiltrating his every word. "I'm sorry. Are you okay, my love?"
You sniff and turn away from him, still cradling your arms and sigh loudly. "You're so mean. I hope you hurt your elbow, and when you cry about this, I'll laugh at you, too!" A giggle slips through your offended facade.
Levi stands, knees popping and aching at the move against gravity and snorts at your dramatics. "I'm going to be so careful now to not hit my elbow, and you'll never get to laugh at me!"
The exchange is childish, but it feels good; it feels natural to laugh and tease in light of the world around you. These moments are few and far between, but when they do happen, you are grateful to see a side of your lover you rarely do these days. You watch as Levi turns away, walking back into his office to finish the work he had abandoned in favour of your safety, and once he is out of sight, you turn your attention back to your bruised arm. The tingling and pain have subsided, a small purple bloom, the only remnant of the torture your nervous system was under not two seconds ago; you poke the small mark to test the level of pain you would feel if you were to hit it again but are interrupted by Levi's scream from the room over.
"I just stubbed my fucking toe!"

“I’ll be okay.”
Tumblr media
It was suffocating. You were suffocating. The child in your stomach filled you with so much overwhelming joy. With so much anxiousness. You felt like you would throw up any second and it wasn’t because of morning sickness. The thought of taking care of a baby with the love of your life was exhilarating. Enough to bring a smile on your face.
But you were scared. Terrified that this baby would not bring happiness. Terrified that it would tear you away from Levi.
“Looks like you’re six weeks in ma’am. We can set up an appointment for next week to do your first ultrasound.”
You were sat up on the hospital bed. You hadn’t looked up at the doctor since your change in position. Your eyes were dull, and dark eye bags highlighted your lack of sleep.
This was supposed to be a joyous moment in your life. You were about to be a mom, well if you kept the baby that is. But all this brought was an excessive amount of emotions that gave you a headache. You loved Levi so much and you know he loved you just as much, you didn’t doubt it for a second. But there was one annoying part of you that thought that Levi would leave. That he wouldn’t want to be a father.
Of course that was entirely his choice. The question was would you keep the baby even without him there. Raise them as a single mother. You might, you’ve always wanted to be a mother. The love your parents showed you when you were young, how happy you all were as a family was an indicator enough that you wanted one for yourself, a family. This realization was like a slap in the face, a punch in the gut, but also a relief in itself.
You would do this, you would keep the baby whether Levi was there or not. No matter how much the thought of him not raising your baby together hurt you.
Imagining it now caused a hole to form in your stomach, no Levi. No father for your child. No family Halloween costumes, no family Christmas pajamas. You wouldn’t watch your child’s dance recitals or basketball games together. You wouldn’t talk to Levi about how fast time flies and how you can’t believe how much they’ve grown.
You needed to stop thinking like this, you haven’t told Levi you were pregnant. The future isn’t set and stone. But you knew whatever happened, you were going to be a mother to this baby.

25 reasons why Levi Ackerman loves you.
1. Levi loves you because life with you is simple and easy. You're easy to love because you make things simple for his complicated life.
2. Levi loves you for the unconditional love you have for him. “I'd wait for you a thousand years,” was the last thing you said to him before he went to Marley.
3. Levi loves you because you are pure. Your love is honest and loyal.
4. Levi loves you because you have so much love in your heart. And he doesn't want to share it with anybody else.
5. Levi loves you because you make him happy. It's as simple as that.
6. Levi loves you because he can be vulnerable with you. The first time you saw him cry, you kissed his tears away.
7. Levi loves you because you never gave up on him. You held his hand tightly and gave him the strength he needed.
8. Levi loves you because you believe in him, putting all your trust in him. Sharing secrets with each other at the quiet hours of the night.
9. Levi loves you because he can fall asleep soundly only in your presence.
10. Levi loves you because you never saw him as someone weak. Even when he was bound on a wheelchair, you still treated him the same as you did before.
11. Levi loves you because you taught him what love was. He never saw himself as someone who could love and who could be loved. He didn't really believe in love until his path crossed with yours.
12. Levi loves you because your touch is magic to him. When you make love, it's never lust but pure love.
13. Levi loves you because you are a strong person. You have had your fair share of struggles in life, but you always overcame them and Levi feels so proud of you for that.
14. Levi loves you because he can be real with you. He might come off as stoic but behind closed doors he holds you so tightly.
15. Levi loves you because you make him laugh. With you he smiles a little more.
16. Levi loves you because you're his. And he wants to be yours.
17. Levi loves you because you gave him a family. You gave him a little baby girl. Levi lost a lot of family and friends in life. But you gave him love, friendship and family. And when he looks at his little baby daughter, he is reminded that she is the fruit of love between you two.
18. Levi loves you because you're a gem in his life. The only good thing that has ever happened to him.
19. Levi loves you because you're so selfless. He also hates that. Because even after being let down so many times by the people in your life, you wanted nothing but the best for them.
20. Levi loves you because you share little dreams with him. Opening a tea shop, having a family, having your very own little place.
21. Levi loves you and will love in you every universe.
22. Levi loves you and will continue to do so till his last breath.
23. Levi loves you and craves for you every second of his life.
24. Levi loves you and your daughter with everything. To him, he finally found a purpose in life and that is to spend his remaining time with the two most important people in his life.
25. Levi loves you and will continue to love you as long as the stars are above you.
