Imagine - Lan Wangji, walking up, "Jiang Lifen, I have a question." and Jiang Lifen, with perfect 'fuck you' politeness, "I'm sorry, Hanguang-Jun, as daughter to Jiang Cheng and heir to Lotus Pier, I am simply not qualified to speak to you." and she bows and walks away b/c 'bitch, you started it' Jiang Lifen is ride-or-die for her A-Die and knows no fear

Okay but backstory first what could the estimable Hanguang-Jun do to really rile up a 10-year-old? Answer? He’s always around now that Jiang Lifen’s dad and his overrated brother Wei Wuxian are trying to reconcile and Jiang Lifen can see that it’s driving Jiang Cheng up the wall.

And being ten, she’s not going to see the source of Jiang Cheng’s ire as being his own uncertainty and grief and guilt over Wei Wuxian’s death and all those painful years alone, she’s just going to see Hanguang-Jun standing two inches behind Wei Wuxian (at all times, grownups are weird) and he’s always glowering at Jiang Cheng (usually when Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian manage to miscommunicate so badly that one/both of them is near tears) and Jiang Lifen is. Done.

So maybe it’s one day it’s afternoon and Jiang Lifen is steaming from what she saw that morning from her hiding place in the walls, with Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian ending up in another snark session and Hanguang-Jun finally breaking his silence with a pointed barb of his own, one which sends Jiang Cheng back a step and even Wei Wuxian looking at Hanguang-Jun a little askance.

(Look. Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji have spent 16 years at each other’s throats, it’s going to take some time)

After everyone’s broken to their own corners to lick their wounds, Hanguang-Jun is taking a break from Wei Wuxian’s company (ie Wei Wuxian finally collapsed into a nap after 3 days of no sleep) and realizes that he’s neglected to deliver a message from Lan Sizhui to Jiang Lifen (after the events of Guyanyin Temple, Lan Sizhui’s been sending Jiang Lifen suggested study topics on defensive arrays, all vetted and approved by Lan Qiren) so he tracks her down to the practice yard to hand over the envelope and ask if she has any questions on the study topic.

Only, Jiang Lifen, smarting and angry on behalf of her father, loses it and snaps back.

I have 2 GreedLingFan kids, Jian-Heng and Lan Ying, who I made with @darkthiefofamestris, 1 (adopted) GreedFan kid named Lixue, she's technically Lan Fan's cousin but w/e, who I made with a friend I don't talk to anymore and honestly don't know what their url is now, and one fully unrelated to canon kid, Li-Fen, who is my oc Biyu Jiang's daughter. I love all of them and could ramble about each forever I swear

oh heck yeaaa, my first mom OC

She has a cutie-pie daughter named Li-Fen who likes to draw stuff so mama Biyu can hang it in the clinic! She often sits at Biyu’s desk and scribbles in coloring books while Biyu works.

because she’s an FMAB OC and I oddly didn’t have any alkahestris OCs she’s an alkahestris and uses her alchemy to help injured people! Their home/clinic is nearby a bar so she’s often up really late sewing up drunks who got into fights for who-knows what reason. Because of this there’s a door at the bottom of the stairs that lead to their home and one at the top, both of which she locks whenever she has late night patients.

Lifen wants to help people like her mom, so Biyu lets her get bandaids out of drawers and give people suckers.

Biyu is always tired and messy tbh. She’s constantly considering shaving all of her hair off because she never has a chance to brush her hair properly kjshaflkfhdlsf she gave herself an undercut to see how she’d feel about it but never had time to finish the deed lmao.

the usual patients all know Lifen and often bring her toys and treats when they visit the clinic. she has a shelf in her room that has all the stuffies she’s gotten from them.

Biyu has bloodstains on like all of her pajamas from the drunk guys that need to be sew up.

My 2021 in fic

My 2021 in fanfic writing was not as voluminous as previous years, but most of that had to do with 2021 being an intensely stressful and terrible year for everyone.

But this year had some positives - Here's what I did this year:

Hour of the Wolf (Teen Wolf/MCU): Allison Stark has spent her entire life trying to live up to her father’s sacrifice. But when the universe itself starts to dissolve, desperation and magic come together to push Allison back in time to try to right the wrongs.

then a whole wack of The Untamed fics

Wednesday's Serenade: Wei Wuxian’s declaration that his new graphic novel is totally, completely fictional? Lan Xichen is pretty sure that’s a lie.

(I really do plan to come back to this story, i have a whole bunch mapped out, including looking at the Wangxian backstory, but we'll see what 2022 brings)

In Yiling she finds a small child, himself missing his parents. Can Liu Meihui help little Wei Ying when she can’t even help herself?

Overflow the autumn pools: After the slaughter at Nightless City, in search of his brother’s body, Jiang Cheng goes to the Burials Mounds, where he finds a small feverish child hidden inside a tree stump. But what’s Jiang Cheng to do with a child?
