Ambroise de Riva - Companion AU Outfits

Even if I don't mention it, I'm developing an AU Companion with one of my Rooks: Ambroise de Riva, bastard son of King Fuleno II and half-brother of Viago de Riva. I've recently finished his outfits, so here they are.

Let's start simple with his Lighthouse's outfit and his Starter Outfit "Magpie Parade".

His Lighthouse outfit is mostly inspired by the lighthouse outfit for a De Riva Rook, but of course with elements of his starter outfit, as are the outfits of the other companions (with a few exceptions). For his starter outfit I inspired myself with Musketeer/Torrero outfits and a concept art of a grey warden in the artbook.

For the information : It's been three years that Ambroise have been exiled from the Crows by Viago (no he's not being hunted down thanks to Viago) after making a serious mistake. One year after his exile, he meet Varric and Lace at Orlais where he team up to find the Dread Wolf (I will make a more detailed post about him another day (not soon)).

Magpies are his animal totem.

"Exile of a Feather" is another outfit inspired by Musketeer and of course the legendaries "Fantasy Belts" (Hi Mage!Hawke and Dorian).

"Castling's Mantle" represent his link to nobility with a kind of prince charming vibe. For this one I based myself with the "Grey Benefactor Heroic's Armor" but more the Antiva Crow Concept art you can find in the artbook.

"Grenadier's Arms" is inspired of two concept art of the Scoundrels, the Fox and the Duelist, not the one I am the proudest but it still suit him well >w<.

"Ambroise's Conviction" The Deluxe Outfit for Ambroise, nothing to add more XDD. (I will never draw it again except if I am being paid)

Aaaah! The Most interesting part XDDD the "Outfit depending on the final choice of their personal quest".

You will get more information later but to be short : At the end, Ambroise can join again the Crows or join the Lords of Fortune. He also color fully his hairs again (never had time since a long time).

"The Silvery Glory" is the outfit he obtain after joining the Lords of Fortune, it's inspired by many outfits in the game and concept arts of LOF.

"Lucena's Loyalty" is the outfit he obtain when going back with the Crows

I really need to translate the summaries of his quests, talking, etc because it's all in French for the moment x)

After almost 24 hours of drawing this I have developed an intense love hate relationship with the lighthouse’s music room windows. They were a pain to draw. They are so pretty. I hope never to lay my eyes upon them again. I will be gazing at them lovingly for an eternity.

Also Solavellan is here or something, idk man. I’m really invested in these windows. (But also omg hi!! 👋 hello Solavellan <3)

A small note has been attached to the armour: "I appreciate the gesture, but I must politely decline." It's been crossed out several times, followed by: "I am not fucking wearing this."

2 Tevinter Troubadour (default outfit)

Loose fitting dark purple tunic, cut low at the front, short sleeves

Tevinter-style sash around the waist

Stolen Venatori boots, modified to remove as much metal as possible; any remaining metal deliberately scuffed to dull the shine

Simple silver earrings

Leather bandolier across right shoulder

Leather hip satchel

Casual yet eye-catching Tevinter attire, equally functional in the streets as on the stage. The altered boots are as much a statement as a warning.

3 Ruff and Ready

Lightweight, durable, silent. An extension and reflection of its wearer. Sleek, sturdy leather, well suited for prowling around places many fear to tread.

This understated ensemble allows Jovus to seamlessly blend in, in many different places. It promises only that you will never see him coming.

Bold and colourful as their wearer, these robes are comfortable and easy to wear... and remove.

minor but frustrating things about veilguard: your wardrobe is in your bedroom. you know the place where scenes auto trigger if you try to go into it. so if you want to say turn off an appearance for your casual wear before a romance scene, you simply cannot do that unless you replay 4-5 hours of game and boss fight

I am not a good baker. But I do have a favorite marmalade recipe that I think would make a nice filling between cake layers, and that's been inspiring me to try to get better at baking.

I just want to celebrate Ed and Stede's wedding with tea, cake, and my housemates and closest friends! This is by no means the best reason in the world to give us the intended third season of "Our Flag Means Death," but whatever. Inexplicable royalists in the United States got up in the middle of the night to champagne toast the dynastic marriages of people with vast inherited wealth. I'm allowed to be fucking weird about queer love.
