Historical Pattern The phrase, thief in the night, is yet another Hebrew idiom This idiom refers to a practice mentioned in Leviticus 6:8-13 which states that the priest in charge must wear. 1 Thessalonians 5:1 For you know very well that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 We don’t need to write to you about the timing and dates, brothers and sisters. 2 Peter 3:10 But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.

ARE YOU CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT LIFE IN ETERNITY WILL BE LIKE?
Are there days when you just want to hear God’s voice, or feel his hand upon your shoulder? The closer we get to going home, the more I long to see and feel what’s ahead. I look forward to seeing the beauty of Heaven, the Lord on his throne, and the people that are waiting there for us. I long to feel the never ending peace that will fill us and never run dry. I long to see the New Earth. I can’t wait to see if it’s going to be like the Garden of Eden in the beginning, or some other kind of paradise.
Jesus spoke of a paradise twice in the New Testament, and Paul once. The first time was when the thief on the cross next to Jesus asked the Lord to remember him when He came into his kingdom. Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43) The next time Jesus uses the word is in the Book of Revelation, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” (Revelation 2:7) The Apostle Paul told about an experience that he had.
“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.”
(2nd Corinthians 12:2-4)
I can’t help but wonder what Paul saw. Was it more than what the Apostle John saw and describes in the Book of Revelation? A phrase that Paul used definitely causes a sense of wonder. He said that he “heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.” Like a curious child, I look forward to hearing, and seeing the things that Paul did.
I think it’s a fun thing to wonder about what lies ahead, in that castle in the sky. Oh, the things that we’ll see! Who will we see? Will we actually meet Jesus face to face? Will He talk to us, and tell us, “Well done, good and faithful servant”? I’ve often wondered how I will act when I first enter Heaven. Will I stand there when I should be kneeling? Will I be looking around when I’m supposed to be singing? Will there be hymnals, or will we automatically know the words?
The other night, I laid in bed listening to end of The Pilgrims Progress (Part 1). The two pilgrims, Christian and Hopeful, were just entering the Celestial City. As the gates to Heaven were opened for them, their bodies were transformed into their eternal bodies. Then, as they entered they were greeted by thousands of angels and others who had gone before them, including friends and family members. They were cheering for them as though they had just crossed the finish line. Oh, what a wonderful thought!
The Bible tells us the kinds of things we should be thinking about while we wait for the Lord, and I would add, “things that we should be thinking about when life gets hard.”
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8)
I find that this verse in particular helps me lately…
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2nd Corinthians 4:18)
Eternal is the key word. Eternal means that we’ll never die, or even get sick. Our shoes, or sandals, will never wear out. There will always be enough to eat, and no more grocery bills. No bills whatsoever! Instead of writing checks, we’ll trade our fruits and vegetables. Oh, it does sound good doesn’t it!
There are some places in the Bible where I think we can get a glimpse or two into the future. In one there is an ailing beggar who dies and is taken to Abraham’s side. In the King James Version it says that he went into Abraham’s bosom. The word bosom in the Greek can mean “a bay” or “creek”. To me, that sounds peaceful, nice quiet, trickling streams of water…even living water!
The Prophet Isaiah prophesied about Jesus…
“Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra's den, the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:5-9)
There is a similar passage in Isaiah 65. It is speaking of the 1000 year reign, but there are still things at that time that will also be eternal. The 1000 years, the Millenium, is the period after Jesus has returned to Earth and placed Satan in the Abyss, or pit. After the thousand years is over Satan will be released for a short time for one final chance to deceive the world. I don’t understand the Millennial period as well as I would like to, but with the help of better equipped Christian scholars I will share what I can about this strange time. But I can tell you that if you are a born again Christian at the time of the Rapture…your eternity is secure in Christ. So, let’s take a brief look at some of the things concerning the Millenium.
"See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.
I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more. "Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere child; the one who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.
They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.
They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them.
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD.” (Isaiah 65:17-25)
The following sections of notes are copied from got questions dot org…
(“The 1,000-year reign will be the beginning of Jesus’ reign over Israel and the earth.” “God promised the nations of the world that they would live in peace with Jesus as their ruler.” (Daniel 7:11–14) And He promised creation that the curse would be lifted (Romans 8:18–23), animals and the earth would be restored to peace and prosperity (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:13–15), and people would be freed from disease (Ezekiel 34:16). These, too, will be fulfilled during the 1,000-year reign.”)
Now, you’re probably wondering who will occupy the Earth during the Millenium…
(“Everyone who enters that kingdom will be redeemed by God and therefore righteous (see Isaiah 35:8–10). Among those redeemed will be two distinct groups of people: those with glorified physical bodies and those with natural, earthly bodies.
Those who occupy the millennial kingdom with glorified bodies can be divided into three subgroups: the church, whose bodies were either resurrected or changed at the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:21–23, 51–53); tribulation martyrs, who are resurrected after Christ returns to earth (Revelation 20:4–6); and the Old Testament saints, who we assume are resurrected at the same time (see Daniel 12:2). Those who occupy the kingdom with earthly bodies have survived the tribulation and can be subdivided into two groups: believing Gentiles and believing Jews.”)
So, only Believers will enter the Millenium. And because they will have earthly bodies…they will have children…and repopulate the Earth. But here is what got questions dot org says concerning these children, etc…. (“Children born during the millennial kingdom will have the responsibility to exercise faith in Christ, the same as all people of past ages. Some of those born during the millennial kingdom will choose to not believe. That is why Scripture speaks of those who die under a curse (Isaiah 65:20) and why the Lord lays out consequences for nations that do not worship Him: “If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, they will have no rain” (Zechariah 14:17).)
This is why Satan is released after the 1000 years. Like I said, it’s kind of strange period that God has planned, but for those that come out of the seven year tribulation it will be a time of growing in Christ and teaching their children about Jesus.
I’ve often wondered if this would be the time when we “rule and reign” with Christ, and that part of our responsibility would be to do our best to help all those who came out of the tribulation, and the children born to them, to become true Believers who would not be deceived by Satan when he is released. This is what got questions dot org said about that…
(“However, all believers will rule the nations (Revelation 2:26–27; 20:4) and judge the world (1 Corinthians 6:2). The apostle Peter calls Christians “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation” (1 Peter 2:9). In Revelation 3:21, Jesus says about the believer who conquers, “I will grant him to sit with me on my throne.” In some sense, then, Christians will share authority with Christ (cf. Ephesians 2:6). There is some biblical evidence, as in the Parable of the Ten Minas (Luke 19:11–27), that individuals will be given more or less authority in the Kingdom according to how they handle the responsibilities God has given them in this age (Luke 19:17).”)
So, this could mean that you and I will govern over cities and towns during the Millenium. We will be perfected in Christ at that time so we would reign as He would.
But after all that, we will finally begin the eternal state for ALL the true Believers. This is the time when any chance of sin is completely removed from the world, never to be seen or heard of ever again. Amen!
There are going to be a lot of changes from the world that we live in now. It sounds like the Lord could make things the way that they used to be. Instead of killing animals for food we will do as God told Adam and Eve in the beginning…
“Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.” (Genesis 1:29-30)
You know, there won’t be any natural disasters anymore either. No earthquakes, twisters, floods, or anything that might harm God’s children. It won’t be too hot, or too cold…it will be “just right” all the time.
My wife reminded me of another thing that we will see…John’s vision of the Holy City coming down from Heaven.
“I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.”
(Revelation 21:2-7)
Yes, what a beautiful sight that will be. And we thought the grand finale at the fireworks show was cool! As my wife said about the Holy City coming down, “prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” The Groom and his Bride…forever.
This life is only temporary. Soon all the bad things of this life will be forgotten and never brought to mind again. So, while we wait a little longer, let’s take Paul’s advice and…
“Fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2nd Corinthians 4:18)
These are the things that Jesus began to tell his disciples about when He said…
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1-3 KJV)
I think all of us have things in our lives that cause our hearts to be troubled at one time or another, things that cause us to feel weary and worn out. Jesus knew that we would have these times; but He wanted us to remember that our faith in Him overcomes all of life’s trials, and secures eternity in paradise for us.
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
Are you ready? I can’t wait! I can’t wait to see those waiting for me when I cross the finish line.
It won’t be much longer. Hang in there friends. God truly has a wonderful plan for the rest of our life…the eternal one. These times of trouble truly are just momentary when we consider a future without any pain, suffering, crying, sorrow, or death.
And I’ll leave you with my personal thoughts…
Will there be dinosaurs, and will I be able to ride them? Will I be able to run across a lake, instead of walking around it? Oh, the possibilities!

LORD’S DAY, THE DAY OF HIS RETURN, May 15, 2026
The voice that John heard while he was in the Spirit of the Lord's Day announces the appointed time of the end.
REVELATION 1:10, 3, 7-8
(10) I was in the Spirit on the LORD'S DAY, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
(3) …hear the words of this prophecy… for the TIME is at HAND.
(7) Behold, HE COMETH with clouds; and every eye shall see him…
(8) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending… which is to come, the Almighty.
The following passages attest that God will indeed reveal to His appointed people the exact day of His return.
REVELATION 4:1 …the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me… I will SHEW THEE THINGS which must be HEREAFTER.
1 TIMOTHY 6:14, 15
(14) That thou keep this commandment… until the APPEARING of our Lord JESUS CHRIST:
(15) Which IN HIS TIMES he shall SHEW…
Herewith, God’s people, who were the children of light, exactly knew the coming of Christ, and it will not overtake them like a thief in the night.
1 THESSALONIANS 5:2, 4-5
(2) For yourselves know perfectly that the DAY of the LORD so COMETH as a thief in the night.
(4) But ye, brethren, are NOT IN DARKNESS, that that DAY should overtake you as a THIEF.
(5) Ye are all the CHILDREN of LIGHT… we are NOT of the NIGHT, nor of darkness.
The prophecy concerning the acceptable time refers to the day of salvation, which is exactly at the Second Coming of Christ.
ISAIAH 49:8, 10
(8) …In an ACCEPTABLE TIME have I heard thee, and in a DAY OF SALVATION have I helped thee…
(10) They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them…
REVELATION 7:16, 17
(16) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
(17) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the THRONE shall feed them…
2 CORINTHIANS 6:2 …I succoured thee: behold, now is the ACCEPTED TIME; behold, now is the DAY OF SALVATION.
Moreover, the acceptable time, which corresponds to the acceptable year of the Lord, was proclaimed on the Sabbath day, when Christ read the book of Isaiah concerning the anointing of the Messiah.
LUKE 4:16, 18-19, 21
(16) …he went into the synagogue on the SABBATH DAY, and stood up for to read.
(18) …anointed me to preach the gospel… to preach DELIVERANCE to the captives… to set at LIBERTY them that are bruised,
(19) To preach the ACCEPTABLE YEAR of the Lord.
(21) …THIS DAY is this SCRIPTURE FULFILLED in your ears.
Hereby, the “Lord’s Day” signifies both the Sabbath day and the appointed day of Christ’s return, for He will come in like manner as He ascended into heaven, which was on a Sabbath day as well.
ACTS 1:11, 12
(11) …this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so COME IN LIKE MANNER as ye have seen him GO INTO HEAVEN.
(12) Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet… a SABBATH DAY'S JOURNEY.
God placed the exact year of His return in the Sabbath, which is the most explicit truth of God’s appointed time.
EXODUS 20:8-11
6 – SIX days (verse 9)
7 – SEVENTH day (verse 10)
13 – SIX days, SEVENTH day (verse 11)
6 + 7 + 13 = 26
2,000 – SABBATH DAY’S journey (Acts 1:11-12, Joshua 3:3-4, Numbers 35:5)
2,000 + 26 = 2026
MATTHEW 12:8 For the SON of man is LORD even of the SABBATH DAY.
MARK 1:15 The TIME IS FULFILLED, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE the gospel.

  Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 23:17-18 (KJV): 17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long. 18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. Proverbs 23:17-18 (AMP): 17 Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long. 18 For surely there is a latter end (a future and a reward), and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.
Thought for the Day
Some Christians are troubled by the fact that they struggle financially from day to day, while many sinners have an abundance of possessions and are seemingly trouble-free. Today's verses instruct us not to envy them since the Lord will abundantly reward those who revere Him in due time: "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass" (Psalm 37:1-7).
We are called to wait for blessings, so that the character of the Lord may be formed in us. We all appreciate God's patience toward us when He is dealing with our weaknesses. To be like Him, we must also be patient in dealing with others (Galatians 5:22-23). Fruit takes time to develop. The Bible calls patience "long-suffering;" not "short-suffering." (The Greek word for suffering means to "bear" or "endure.") There are two kinds of suffering: (1) suffering that comes as a result of our sins or the sins of others, and (2) suffering by choice for the cause of Christ. When we first come to the Lord, most of our suffering is because we have broken spiritual and physical laws. This form of suffering comes upon the Christian and the non-Christian alike. However, if we walk with the Lord He will lead us out of this kind of suffering as it is the result of sin. Jesus suffered on the cross to relieve us of this. Types of this suffering would be sickness, depression, fear, poverty, filth, torment, emotional pain stemming from divorce or broken relationships, anxiety, loneliness, grief, stress, disorder, confusion, etc.
Suffering for the Lord is different. It involves laying down our lives for others. Jesus' suffering and death on the cross is the greatest example of suffering for others. We learn patience and suffer for the cause of Christ by obeying His leading when it is inconvenient; by choosing to fast; to pay someone else's bill; to "go the second mile;" to pray in the middle of the night; to minister to others. We can suffer by being falsely accused because we live godly lives. Our flesh can ache as we resist temptation. Our souls can grieve over a loved one who is unsaved. "But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf...Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator" (1 Peter 4:15-16;19).
In undergoing trials, we may be tempted to envy those who are not being tested at the time. Today's verses assure us that our sufferings will end, and we will be rewarded for obedience and faithfulness to God. "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you" (Matthew 5:11-12).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. We willingly submit to do all that You ask of us, and will endure and bear all that You place before us. However, Lord, we know there are some things that the devil wants us to suffer under, that are not of You, and we will not receive those things that the devil would try to put upon us. 1 Thessalonians 1 - 5; 2 thessalonians 1 - 3
Welcome to Daily Audio Bible Chronological, I'm Jill. today's the 27th day of November, welcome. everybody enjoy it is an honor to be here reading the word of God for us individually collectively and we do this in community and what a beautiful community that it is. we're starting a brand new book of the Bible today will be reading first Thessalonians 1 through 5 and yesterday we started a brand new week which means a brand new translation and we will continue with that translation in the New International Version, first Thessalonians chapter 1. 
Commentary
So we took on first and second Thessalonians today and finished both chapters. I did fail to see that at the beginning of the reading so I'm glad that we got that in at the end. so just a bit of clarification as we read these two letters Corinth from Paul when we read letters such as these we have to once again remember that these were specific writings for a specific time to a specific people and it's really easy to pull some great one-liners out of these two letters, and teach from them but it's so good to know the whole context of the passage so that we're just not grabbing the lines and making it fit a narrative that we want to reiterate. and these two letters they were sent back as clarification to Paul's teachings the gospel the good news of Jesus is being preached taught for the first time in many of these places, and to teach something so profound that also comes with a great deal of controversy, that this news is for everyone well maybe you can imagine that things probably got Lost in Translation. and then things are either spoke back or delivered down the line incorrectly with needing some clarification think of the old game of telephone where you have a group of people in a line and one person Whispers And the ear of the next person something and it continuously gets whispered down the line to the last person says it out loud and it is usually so far off base from the original statement that it makes for a good laugh. so imagine phrases such as day of the Lord and like a thief in the night to just really confuse new converts and new converts that are about to experience persecution so not only are they needing to stay alive but Paul is also clarifying some miscommunications and misunderstandings of these brand new Concepts being introduced. here's just a little personal perspective thrown in there as a little girl I grew up in a time where the second coming of Christ was off in spoken of with much fear thrown in. I remember a particular conversation were two adults were speaking as if it was going to happen at any moment and they were so sure of it that I looked up and said, then what in the world are we doing if Jesus is coming back and by the sound of things it's like tomorrow, why are we why are we wasting any time doing anything? and the response was because the Bible says to work until he comes. this was true of the people as well in the context of which we are reading they too believed in the immediate return of Christ and that's not such a bad way to live. be kind to one another, forgive each other, repent enough retire of doing what is good. I loved how that passage in chapter 3 and 2nd Thessalonians verse 13 and as for you brothers and sisters never Tire of doing what is good. maybe that could be our prayer for today.
Prayer
Jesus we love you. we thank you for meeting us here we thank you for this time together. I pray that we would never Tire of doing what is good doing what is right as we hear these letters from Paul to the early churches in such a profound theme of endurance, keep going don't stop do not lose hope. so I pray that that is where our hearts and our Focus would be today thank you for this time together we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

hi DABC, this is Cynthia from Texas I'm going to call and give you a few updates so my brother William that y'all were praying for who had the concussion when he was 15 and has been sick for 12 years he has a little bit more energy but he feels like he is overdoing that by going to a Bible study every week he really wants to go to this Bible study it's really Life Giving to him and it's basically his only social outlet, so would you all be praying for him to have enough energy for that my mom had her surgery her knee surgery and it went well there's like a three to four month recovery time so she still recovering and y'all's continued prayers would be very much appreciated I also wanted to ask for prayer for me so I am 35 weeks pregnant and I'm going to be giving birth probably around 38 weeks cuz that's what I did last time so really soon last birth was very traumatic and very long and it took me 6 months to be able to talk about my birth without bursting into tears. so I've had a lot of healings since then but these births are also very close together the other one was just 14 and 1/2 months ago pray that I would be ready for this birth, physically, emotionally and we go faster and easier that I wouldn't care and yeah just that that God would help me through it and I'd be emotionally in a good place the whole time thank you all so much God bless
 hey dabc it's refined by the fire in Ohio I was listening and praying along and rejoicing there's so many awesome things that have been happening and I just thought I would update you my friend Jen they rediagnosed her with a type of cancer that has a one to two year life expectancy and isolated the families taking that really hard but the Mayo Clinic has put her on a trial with a new medication and after 2 weeks her areas on her lungs has reduced by 50% so I know that's not just the medication that's also the prayer so I want to thank you all for praying for her and then can you just be praying for my Dad we are going to deliver the blankets to his nursing home on December 1st and I'm just praying that he would have a day of clarity to be able to participate in that and to be able to understand hi the ABC Family the daughter again I really hope that the Lord God with how this go through if it's meant to be this is for Grace who I hear how broken her heart is having this toxic marriage and Grace I have no idea what the Lord will have me say to you I don't know what is Willis just like that being a relationship please say get div If my heart is breaking for you I want you to know that I'm thinking of you I'm praying for you I'm hugging you and holding you from this side of the phone and I am just praying very hard for you so lower please give Grace your wisdom your peace your comfort your protection Still listen and hear you you know let the husband like see how she is different and sees the Lord in her and maybe you know use and so hopefully they'll be used to change his heart cuz he needs you so much to Lord so thank you Lord and Jesus name I pray amen

The Holy Spirit is speaking to us lately on drawing closer to him; we never know when he will be coming. The Bible says this in “Revelation 16:15 Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”)
Matthew 24 :43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief at night.
See, this right here tells us we won’t know the hour, we won’t know the day, and people that say they do know when he will return are lying. Jesus doesn’t even know when he is coming “Mark 13:32 “But about that day or hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” We don’t know, and we must understand that if Jesus doesn’t know, then no one else could possibly know. What we need to start doing now is give up the things of the flesh that will keep us from heaven.
It’s a lot of people think they have the opportunity to get it right, and they are willing to take this gamble on their life. We are gambling with our spiritual life every time we indulge in the flesh! We are saying I am going to do what I want, and whatever happens the next second, the next minute, the next hour, it doesn’t matter; I want to fulfill it!
The Bible clearly states for us to be ready, the Holy Spirit wants to show us within the verses today that WE DONT KNOW!
“Hebrews 9:28 So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.”
It says here we as believers should be eagerly waiting for him, anticipating his return, but a lot of us won’t be. A lot of us will be lukewarm, seeking the things of the flesh . Many people think they have opportunity to get it right and grace to cover them and to live in this false ideal that GRACE IS THE ONLY THING we need, and we could do what we like is the worst idea a believer could ever have ,we must get our heart right we must learn to draw near to him because the end is coming the end is near and if we’re not ready, we’ll be in the lake of fire along with anyone else that doesn’t live the life that they should , this is a conversation a lot of people don’t like to have , and a topic a lot of people like to avoid but it’s the truth.
Revelation 3:11: I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have so that no one may seize your crown.”
We talked about this verse two weeks ago, but this verse needs to be something that reminds us of what we should do, which is to hold fast to the things of God because the enemy is looking to seize our crown, and we must be ready to stand strong and not allow what we see and what we want to feel to distract us from it! It will be a sad thing to live the life of righteousness and let one moment, 10 minutes or even 5 seconds take that from us because we wanted to do what we felt we needed to do.
The return of the lord is near , and no this is not a devotional to scare anyone , the Holy Spirit doesn’t want to scare anyone he wants us all to be awaken to the very things and traps of the enemy, the enemy doesn’t care who or what he have to use to draw us into his endless cycle of sin! We don’t want sin to keep us from a life time with our creator , we can’t let our flesh be so weak that we allow it to determine our home . Let go of the things of the flesh , you don’t know what hour he will come and you don’t want to be left exposed !

How does the Bible describe the eternal heaven and earth? Editor's Note: Chronologically according to the Bible, the rapture will occur, then the 7 year tribulation. Then Christ will return to defeat Satan and rule for 1000 years. Then the eternal heaven and earth will be created as described below. [convertplayer id="nJN6WSW4M" width="700" height="525"] Revelation 21:1a "AND I saw a new heaven and a new earth:..." I try to get people to ask themselves questions as they study their Bibles. This verse should stir a question. What happened to the old ones? Scripture has the answer. Go to II Peter 3:10. I feel these verses in II Peter give us the reason for Revelation Chapter 21: II Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord (remember this term, "...the day of the Lord" actually begins with the onset of the Tribulation and runs all the way through the thousand-year reign of Christ in the Kingdom) will come as a thief in the night (it will catch the world by surprise. Notice there is a semicolon at the end of night. Many times a punctuation mark in the Scripture will skip hundreds or thousands of years. That's the case here); in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." I like Peter who, though an uneducated fisherman with no degree in science, uses the very terms that scientists use today. We speak of this earth made up of elements. The various elements and fervent heat in verse 10, spoken of in verse 11 as dissolving, is another science term. These are the exact words that Peter uses with regard to this planet, "the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." I see no room here for leaving even the core of the earth. II Peter 3:11 "Seeing then that all these things (what things? Everything that makes up the planet. I don't know if this will include the solar system or not. Our solar system is just a pin-point compared to all of outer space. My pastor made an analogy in a sermon which I liked. He said if man could launch a rocket, pointing it to outer space, and even if he could get it going 186,000 miles per second (the speed of light), at any given point in time will it stick into the ceiling of outer space? I'd never thought of that. Naturally the answer is "no." If it did, there would have to be something on the other side. This is completely beyond our imagination - the vastness of space; that something going at the speed of light can keep on going forever. But, as far as space goes, God is always beyond it. The infinity of God and space is mind boggling. But we know that "these things" applies to all that makes up our planet) shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness," Peter is saying, "Since you dealing with this kind of God, who is man to even attempt to reject Him." But we also know that throughout human history the largest percentage of men have kept God out of their life. I try not to get on a stump and start preaching, but I get so alarmed that our younger generation seems to have no concept of God, of eternity, or things that are spiritual. They're living for the here and now. They're living for the gratification of the flesh, with no concept of the Scriptures. It just scares me. On the other hand we have to understand that all of this is getting ready for these end-time events, when the Anti-Christ will appear. These kids in our so-called "Christian America" have no concept of what's coming. Being ignorant of the Scripture, when they hear this charismatic individual promising peace and prosperity, they will fall for him hook, line, and sinker. Back to Revelation 21. As this planet has been plagued with the curse and sin for so long, we find that it is totally dissolved. Then the following: Revelation 21:1 "AND I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away (gone!); and there was no more sea." Because the earth here has passed away, that's the reason Hell has to be emptied out. Most people don't think of these things. Hell as we know it is, at this moment, in the very center of this earth. But since this earth is going to blow up and be completely destroyed (as we saw in II Peter Chapter 3), even the inhabitants of Hell must be removed. In order for this to happen, Christ will resurrect the lost bodily out of Hell to stand before the Great White Throne. Then this old planet can be destroyed. Now for the exciting part: Revelation 21:2 "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem (the one for all eternity), coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Remember in John Chapter 14? John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." I don't know if Jesus had the new Jerusalem in mind here, but we know that God has this glorious abode that we'll enjoy for all eternity. He'll still have a thousand years to work on it if He needs that much time. It will be beyond our comprehension. Now verse 3: Revelation 21:3 "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, `Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.'" When this happens, God is going to be in the very present (not in a distant place where we have to take Him by faith). And eternity being what eternity is, it is in another dimension that you and I can't comprehend. Even though there will be billions in eternity, each one of us will know God as personally as we do our own parent. That is one of the unique qualities of the eternal. Now verse 4: Revelation 21:4-6 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (this is what makes Heaven the Heaven as we think of it); and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. I like to tie tears, death, sorrow, and pain to this earth. That is part of the curse and the earth today! And he that sat upon the throne said, `Behold, I make all things new.' And he said unto me, `Write: for these words are true and faithful.' And he said unto me, `It is done, I am the Alpha and Omega (only one Person in the Godhead says that. It's Christ. So the Lord Jesus refers to Himself as), the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.'" That's the eternal part again. Revelation 21:7,8 "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." In verse 8 we have a reminder from God of those who will not be in this eternal state with us. "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." The final separation from God. Revelation 21:9-11 "And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues (of the Tribulation), and talked with me saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." These are terms of position, not communal living. This bride is the new Jerusalem descending out of Heaven. "And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;" I won't read all the descriptions (which are completely beyond our comprehension). With the gem stones and jewels that will make up this city (it isn't just going to be gold), it's going to be everything that we think of
as wealth and beauty. Revelation 21:12-15 "And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles (Peter and the eleven) of the Lamb. And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof." Now in verse 16, he brings it into language we kind of understand. Revelation 21:16 "And the city lieth foursquare (it won't be so many miles wide and long, as our cities are today, but rather long, wide, and high - actually a cube. Some feel it might be a pyramid, but I doubt that; I think it will be a cube), and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal." So we have a cube that is 1500 miles in each direction, plus 1500 miles high. That is from New York City to Denver to Mexico City. From Mexico City into the South Atlantic Ocean and back to New York City. That would be a 1500 mile square. And this city goes up 1500 miles. What's another reason we'll need a new earth? Well, that city could never rest on the earth we have now. The curvature of the earth would fall away from it, and most of the city would be setting out there like birds' wings. I think this new earth will be so big, that even a city this size won't go beyond the curvature. Get your calculators out and tell me how large this new earth will have to be for this city to sit on it. And there will be billions in glory. I think most Bible believers agree that infants and little children under the age of accountability are going to be in glory. Looking back through human history, what percentage of infants got beyond infancy? Take the third world tonight and think of the millions of infants that die before they are even a year old. They will all be in glory as adults. That makes me think this new earth will be so huge and beautiful that no one is going to be crowded. Remember, this 1500-mile city is just our apartments so to speak. And as you come down through the text, we find there is going to be food production. I think there will be all the aspects of the thousand-year Kingdom reign. I feel there will be an animal Kingdom, and birds. There won't be a sea, so there might not be fish. I think it will be an extension of the Kingdom economy, except on a greater and grander scale. God is preparing this that we might have pleasures evermore. Not pleasures as the world thinks of pleasure, but as God thinks of pleasure. I don't know what that will be but I know one thing (knowing God as I do), He can't make a mistake. It's going to be glorious. To think that man will turn his back on all of this for seemingly 10 or 15 years of a so-called "good time." Put it this way. Show me a person who "lives in the fast lane" (we see this constantly with entertainers, etc.). How long can their body take it? Only a few years. They burn themselves out for just a few years of "pleasure." And they have turned their back on an eternity of real pleasure! Isn't it foolish? But mankind can't get these concepts straight. They think in terms of living their own life and having a good time for three-score years and ten, not worrying about what comes after that. I look at it the other way around. I'm not that concerned about this three score and ten; I'm more concerned about the billions of years ahead of us. Now, let's move on. Revelation 21:19,20 "And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth sardius; the seventh chrysolite; the eight, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacin
th; the twelfth, an amethyst." Such beautiful gem stones! These foundations are going to be garnished with them. And then verse 21. This would make any bride's mouth water. Revelation 21:21 "And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, every several gate was of one pearl (the Bible says it. Women have gone to great lengths to possess the biggest pearl in the world, but here we will have gates made of a single pearl): and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass." This is where songwriters have picked up that we will tread the streets of gold. But this is our prospect. Since God is present with us there is not need for a place to worship. Revelation 21:22,23 "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun (that doesn't mean there won't be a sun. Because when you get into Chapter 22 the sun is mentioned again. But there won't be a need for the sun), neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof." Revelation 21:24 "And the (what's the next word? Please underline it) nations (Remember, the Kingdom economy will slip right into eternity, except on a new Heaven and earth. We have nations in the Kingdom and we'll have nations in eternity. The Kingdom will be forever and ever) of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it." It appears there will be nations with sub-governments under the headship of God (which comes back to the promise to you and I as believers). We will reign and rule with Him. Revelation 21:25-27 "And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."

The first missionary opportunity came from the heat of persecution. 
"There broke out a severe persecution of the Church in Jerusalem,
and all were scattered
throughout the countryside of Judea and Samaria,
except the Apostles.
"Devout men buried Stephen and made a loud lament over him.
"Saul, meanwhile, was trying to destroy the Church;
entering house after house and dragging out men and women,
he handed them over for imprisonment.
Now those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.
Thus Philip went down to the city of Samaria
and proclaimed the Christ to them.
"With one accord, the crowds paid attention to what was said by Philip
when they heard it and saw the signs he was doing.
For unclean spirits, crying out in a loud voice,
came out of many possessed people,
and many paralyzed and crippled people were cured.
There was great joy in that city." (Acts 8: 1 - 8).
Philip, the Deacon fled Jerusalem and landed in Samaria. What did he do? He preached the Good News in his new home and converted a large number of people to Christ the Lord. (Cf Acts 8: 5 - 8).
Necessity is the mother of invention. The mother eagle shakes out the nest so that the complacent little eaglets will learn to fly and embrace their life's mission.
Be alert. Be vigilant. Jesus may come like a thief in the night.

Encouragement for those who are having a hard time trusting God when He is asking them to do a difficult task:
“I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass, that you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretches out the heavens and who lays the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor? The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread. For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name. Lesson 52 analysis + 53 predictions
Turning this into a routine thing now! They’re fun to write and they’re popular (moreso than my actual commentary posts lmao).
Y’all like my ramblings.
Things guessed correctly from prior lesson
The House of Lamentation was an illusion produced by the fairies
The arc culminated in the completion of the Trial of Patience (star received via Simeon)
The illusion did a number on Simeon's feelings as well due to his fondness for Lucifer and the brothers
They shoved Mammon and Luke off to the side and plopped them back in only after the Satan/Simeon arc was complete. There was no arc for Luke. To be fair, though, they did get more content than I expected even so.
Things guessed wrong
The banshee didn't show up at all. It was a red herring.
There was no significance to the geranium found in the mysterious book
Our adventure also completed the Trial of Generosity. (I incorrectly attributed this to Diavolo, who actually gave us the Star of Gratitude)
Still ???
Whether or not there is some kind of transfer of memories/experiences going on between the brothers' past selves and present selves due to our meddling in time. We've confirmed that past angel Beelzebub has turned into a glutton in between the time we last saw him and now, but we haven't confirmed if it *is* our meddling that has induced that. Currently, no change has manifested in the present brothers, nor has the timeline of events seemed to have significantly changed.
Whether or not present Lucifer becoming more "angelic" in season 2, in lieu of past angel Lucifer's growing doubt, will be a significant plot point. The parallels are getting stronger, though. (This is elaborated on further down)
It feels like 50/50? I’ll probably keep a list like this going for future analysis/prediction posts just so I can keep track of how right/mistaken I am throughout the playthrough. Might help me make less mistakes in my analysis!
As a general rule I try not to meander too far off into symbolism or out-of-game lore because what I write begins to sound like this:

And this is an otome game that is light on writing and plot. Nine times out of ten, it’s not going to be that deep. So I work with the details given and the plot points shown and try to draw connections within the framework of the story, in an attempt to try to deduce where the devs are taking the plot. Unfortunately for me, the devs like red herrings, and red herrings are designed to mislead you. With me, they are quite successful! I’d like to get better at spotting them.
The book was consequential -- it’s used to imprison Satan later -- but that’s the end of it’s meaning. Maybe the Bible verse had something to do with it, too -- those were some weird ass numbers to just throw in the title -- but maybe not. Either way, it doesn’t really matter. 
But enough of that, onwards! We have a lot of points to go over that may be interesting to note, right or not.
Satan the Memory Thief
Back in 50-B we learn that it was Michael who taught the brothers the stories behind the human world constellations.

When we’re tossed back in time-dreamland (?) again, it is Satan who takes the opportunity to teach the brothers the human world constellations. The room had just been remodeled: Michael hasn’t had the opportunity to give them tours yet. Lucifer mosied into the room so he and the brothers can get the first glimpse.

Sooo if in a future lesson we ask them about where they learned the constellations in the present timeline and they say “oh a guy named Sully, who suspiciously looked just like Satan, taught us!” then we know our meddling is having significant consequences.
It IS worth noting that unlike the prior dream sequence, Satan and Simeon remember what they just went through. This particular time-dream could very well just be an illusion meant to give Satan/Simeon some kind of emotional resolution and nothing else. This is kind of why I hate that they’re bring time travel back into the story: it makes stuff like this confusing and borderline inconsistent. Some sequences may have effects and others may not. 
The chat between Lucifer and Simeon could also be consequential.
“Do you *really* mean that?”
There is a parallel at play here!
After you wake up after dozing off, you go off to find Lucifer and Simeon conversing in a forest clearing, evidently unaware that you’re eavesdropping on them. Simeon says although he knows it is just an illusion, that he was glad to see angel Lucy once more. Angel Lucy is predictably confused, and reassures Simeon that they’ll remain like this forever.

Simeon, of course, knows better. He tells Lucifer that he knows he’s been meeting with Diavolo and he’s having doubts about his place in the Celestial Realm -- and if things really will remain the same. Lucy is caught off guard, and starts to explain with some clear hesitation... and of course we pass out before we could hear his answer.
There’s creepy loud heartbeats when it fades out. Normally I associate them with tense, pivotal decisions -- but it could also just be related to us waking up and returning to reality.
If Simeon ends up being wrong -- and there will be real world consequences to this conversation -- they could be very significant consequences. We’re not sure if the conversation continues for a bit longer after we pass out, but Simeon already woke up before we come to.
Obviously the brothers still fell (they’re still demons in the present), but I wouldn’t underestimate the potential of a butterfly effect changing the circumstances of the Great Celestial War. I kind of hope they don’t do that, though, because they haven’t even begun to explain the present details of that event. We know only the broad strokes. Suddenly changing them to make the resolution between the demons and angels more smooth will feel really forced.
And that parallel I mentioned: Diavolo expresses similar worries and doubt in Lucifer’s conviction in season 2.

I have no doubt Lucifer actually means what he says to Diavolo, unlike his dialogue with Simeon, but Diavolo is aware of just how far Lucifer will go for the sake of his family -- and he’s probably #2 on the priority list, when push comes to shove. Lucifer forsaking the Celestial Realm for Lilith was the thing that brought him to Diavolo in the first place.
Of course, this lesson has Simeon suggesting that Diavolo’s influence on Lucifer was significant prior to all that unfolding, and it may have eventually happened regardless. It was only a matter of when, not how.
Still, Lucifer be writing checks he may not be able to cash. We also get this foreboding warning from Barbatos in Season 2:

As I’ve said before, the inevitable conflict the story was hinting to at this point doesn’t happen in Season 2. Lucifer isn’t forced to make a choice like this. The Night Dagger didn’t demand it.
I’ve also expressed my belief that Season 2 and Season 3 were likely written back-to-back due to the small window of time between their releases, so I believe details overlooked in Season 2 may suddenly become more relevant in Season 3.
It’s worth remembering Diavolo’s growing feelings for MC -- and Lucifer’s inner conflict about it -- were hinted at early in Season 2, as well. It doesn’t really get going until the conclusion of Season 2, leading into Season 3.
Do I have any clue of what this is actually leading up to? Not at all! If it mirrors Season 2′s format, though, it’ll suddenly come to a head in the last 3-5 lessons. I remember feeling equally clueless then, and Season 2 had a lot more foreshadowing...
... a lot of which actually didn’t pan out! But it might now. 
Guardian Angels
Another smaller, but interesting detail. Guardian Angels are indeed a thing.

I think they’re gonna become a thing soon. The devs very sneakily changed a small detail in Season 2, suggesting they might have realized that it may interfere with their plans for later seasons.

I’m thinking they may have decided giving Michael guardianship of an entire swath of the population was cheating, and they may be individualizing the role of Guardian Angels.
Which leads me to who I think Michael’s chosen human squeeze is:

My man has been scoping him out long before we came around.
It makes sense, too. We know Michael gave his Ring of Wisdom to Solomon, which seems to have kickstarted his career as a demon-pacting sorcerer (though he clearly was a sorcerer before this).

This is a very powerful item, described as the Ring of Light’s counterpart, that would be very useful for a high-ranking angel to possess. I don’t think Michael would fork it over to just anyone, particularly when we remember how he felt compelled to interrogate us via dream hi-jack before the Ring of Light fully came into our possession.
Solomon also makes Michael angst in a way a well-meaning but misbehaving child would make their parent angst:

Solomon also really doesn’t seem to regard Michael like some distant, all-powerful alien being who could smite him out of existence.

Contrast this with how he responds when he’s forced to hang out with Diavolo for a day (he gets more comfortable, but he initially wants to punt the responsibility back to Lucifer ASAP).
And he knows a surprising amount of small details about the guy:

I think Solomon is a significant part of Michael’s long-term plans, but he may not even be fully aware of how. Or he is, and they’re in some kind of mutually beneficial agreement -- possibly related to cross-realm peace -- that we simply haven’t been made aware of yet.
Personally, I think Simeon should be made MC’s ‘official’ Guardian Angel if they’re gonna be a thing with official mechanics behind them. I know Michael is supposed to be the Big Cheese and ridiculously hot, so it may make sense to have him linked to the MC of an otome game because they’re super special too, but Michael may already have Solomon. He shouldn’t get to hog everything. It’s not like assigning Simeon to do job would really inconvenience him, either: MC is Solomon’s apprentice. He can easily work with the arrangement.
Luke may feel left out but he’s a kid so...
Seven Brothers Constellation
We learn there’s a constellation representing the brothers in the Celestial Realm. Everyone there knows the legend, but Luke doesn’t know what the three stars ‘watching over them’ represent.

He, Mammon, and Satan begin to theorize and Satan suggests they may represent the three realms. The other two like the idea, and Mammon insists the ‘human’ star represents MC. 
He’s probably right, but I’m willing to take it a step further: it represents MC, Diavolo, and Michael. The three “guardians” of their respective realms, and the brothers. Season 3 has been repeatedly beating us over the head with how much Michael still cares for the brothers and his relevance to their upbringing, and likely their future.
It bears repeating: Diavolo and Michael are aiming towards the same goal, though their visions of what peace and harmony looks like may be very different.

Solomon could also qualify as a self-appointed guardian, but I think he lacks the connection to the brothers MC obviously has.

Still, he has the same resolve, and he’s not leaving the story any time soon.
Predictions
I sniff out even the smallest Michael details because he’s clearly the key to whatever is gonna blow up.
This might give us some insight on how the initial dealings with him may unfold:

It’s hard to deduce just what this actually means. Either Michael tends to overthink things that just aren’t that deep (can empathize) and that in itself leads to needless complications, or he’s apt to misread situations and as a result gives poor advice. Or a combination of both.
My initial read on him makes me think that he thinks the best of humans/angels but the worst of demons. He is very, very complimentary towards MC as soon as they start answering his questions.

Am I now? Really?
It could just be the game making characters butter up the MC to make the game more enjoyable for the player of a self-insert character, but dude we just met.
When you tell him you did what you did out of love for Lucifer:

That’s a very telling pause/ellipsis. It’s like his brain momentarily short-circuits and he needs to regain his composure before he continues, and he still doesn’t sound entirely sure of what you just said lol
He also just outright admits he initially thought you must be wicked just because the brothers liked you, and this is a guy who is still fond of them himself. I think he’s having a very hard time with it.
So the inevitable bumps in the roads ahead with him will likely be a result of this, and/or his dad being an asshole. Neither he or Diavolo are actually in charge of the realms they’re overseeing -- they’re both de facto leaders -- so maybe the parents will suddenly barge in and try to knock over their sand castles for whatever reason. It is kind of weird that the exchange program has been agreed to in the first place, particularly on the Celestial Realm’s part.
Regardless, I have no clue what the next arc will be. I know we still have three trials left, but they could combine two again to leave more room for the actual storyline to progress. The climax is going to be the last trial of our sorcerer’s exam, or something happening afterwards. Not sure which one I’m willing to bet on yet: I remember Simeon’s play and the silly Blood Moon contest in Season 2 were what kept use preoccupied for Season 2 until SUDDENLY LUCIFER GETS AMNESIA AND THE WORLD IS IN DANGER AND WE HAVE TO STAB HIM TO SAVE EVERYONE. But they did heavily foreshadow that in the very beginning lol. They just didn’t fill in the blanks until much later.
I wonder what the trial of chastity is gonna be like and how hard we’ll actually fail and the game will need to overcompensate for that

Chrollo Character Analysis

I have to warn you, even if this analysis does not have spoilers in the manga, but it is very long and with a dash of personal bias towards Chrollo - Admin MeiQi
Chrollo Lucilfer. One of the main villains of Hunter x Hunter. Leader of the phantom troupe, the band of thieves responsible for the Kurta massacre. Love him or hate him, he is an impressive character from a writer’s standpoint. You don’t know his morality. Like many characters in the manga, you don’t exactly know where to pinpoint him in the morality spectrum. He’s very gray in his morals, and that is what I want to see with a character.
Honestly, Chrollo is my most favorite character to write for, his complex character and his cunning personality easily makes him one of my favorites to stan and write for. Dissecting him is a very interesting thing to explore. - When I said that I can write a 2000 word essay on Chrollo, my friends said that they couldn’t believe that it was true or if I was joking, but here we are, with the quarantine and nothing to do, it has to lead me into this, a 2000 word monster.
His Past and How it affects him.
As of writing, we knew nothing about Chrollo’s past. And I think Togashi is not that interested in Chrollo. In my headcanon, Chrollo grew up roaming the streets of Meteor City. No family, no money, no food, nowhere to go. I can even see Chrollo doing sex work just to get around his life. He had to grow up very fast and was exposed to a cruel society at an early age. So, with his charm, his intelligence, and his sex appeal, he can put anyone around his fingers.
Meteor City is already a rough environment for an adult but you should also think about the children who roam the streets. How would a child interact with an environment as harsh as Meteor City? The city had always been described as this hell hole. Where people throw unwanted things, including unwanted children. Nobody was written in records and nobody knew the place. The city seems like it has no peace and is constantly in danger.
If my dad is writing this, he’d say that Chrollo is “Nagutuman” it literally means “starved”, it means that Chrollo got something taken away from him. Something that is really important. If I am going to paint a picture of Chrollo’s past, it would be less than beautiful.
Combined with Chrollo’s harsh upbringing and some type of mental illness, you have a recipe for disaster. - Perfect building blocks for a villain of a series as complex as Hunter x Hunter. As an aspiring writer, I always looked up to Togashi’s work and how complex the series is. Chrollo’s layers are one of the hardest for me to dissect without writing a long essay. Once you make me talk about Chrollo, I will run my mouth for ages. (Like what I am doing right now)
If I am going to embody Chrollo as one of the seven deadly sins, I think he’d probably represent greed, although envy is very close as well. He was a man with nothing who wants everything. He wants the money, he wants vast knowledge, he wants other people’s nen, he wants all the worldly things.
He was very obsessed with human nature. To the point that he will use this obsession to manipulate another person, and get what he wanted from them. He instilled himself to read books and observe the people around him. He used these books to pick a personality trait. Look, in typical literature, it’s easy to distinguish who is “good” and who is “bad” and personalities are not as complex as humans are.
With no one to talk to, he had this very reserved personality. Then, the books and observations couldn’t suffice anymore, so he started stealing very important things from people to know how they would feel when those worldly possessions were gone to them. When he saw how these people reacted to him doing that, he was joyed. He was happy in a twisted way to see what would happen. 
I would say Chrollo is kinda numb, but can you really blame the man himself? I don’t think so. Nobody looked after him. Nobody cared for him. Not that I’m trying to convince you that Chrollo is a good guy, which obviously is not the case. (Being the antagonist of the series)
Stealing these things made him understand humans, made an empty void in his body filled in this twisted way. But since Chrollo is greedy, these things never satisfied him. I can even compare him to Ging, Gon’s dad. His greed made him leave his son so that he can have all these adventures and stay a hunter forever.
That’s why I would hate being in the hunter x hunter universe. As someone who has a very set standard of morals, I don’t believe greedy people like hunters deserve the privileges that they are taking for granted. I believe that people should have equal rights and people that have privileges should use their privilege in the right way.
What is the troupe for him?
A favorite quote of mine from him would be “I’m not important, but my orders are.” It shows that Chrollo treats and respects each leg of the spiders like his equals. I would even argue that the members of the troupe are the only thing that is important to Chrollo. I would go more into that in the last category.
The troupe is everything for him. His friends, his family, and lastly an extension of himself. The troupe became his identity, the thing that gave him life, and probably the only thing that is making him significant in this world. The troupe members are the only ones who cared for their beloved boss
To form it, he gathered people that he trusted the most. They all shared a thing in common, immensely talented nen users and outcasts. They shared his philosophy. “We can steal anything from you, but never steal anything from us” He built the phantom troupe with immense trust and him sharing the same principles as his members.
The troupe members are the only people that actually know Chrollo and even then, as I observed, he doesn’t seem super close with anyone in the whole troupe, minus Pakunoda and Machi ?? I will expand on Pakunoda and Chrollo at another time.
One of the ironic things I have seen with the Phantom Troupe is how they would go through all that for the death of a member. (With the requiem for Uvogin) But it was also said that in order to join, you have to kill a member. I find it very contradictory. Or maybe they would get mad or be like that when the person who killed Uvogin didn’t join the troupe ?? That is just very ironic.
Although I don’t have an opinion on it, I am putting it out there so that we can discuss it below and what do you think about this ‘rule’ made by Chrollo. It was something I never thought of when writing this analysis or just as I am watching the anime and dissecting the manga.
How would his demise be?
I think his demise would be ironic and symbolic. As an avid fan of Teleseryes, anime, and a reader of many book series, I know what I’m talking about. His death would be satisfying to both him and the reader. I am aware that Togashi defies the tropes of regular shounen manga, but this ending is the best in a way that it is shocking and satisfying.
His death would be bittersweet. - His death would seem cold, yet twistedly satisfying. He would have nothing to lose. I have to stress it again, that he’s a man who has nothing, and for him, death is inevitable. Remember what Melody said? “He walked with death by his side” That means that the man is really prepared for his demise and feels satisfied whenever it would happen at whatever point of his life.
I can see that his troupe members would be in heaven already. Him being cornered by either Kurapika or Hisoka (if Hisoka wants a re-match). He’d be happy if Kurapika killed him because the boy will get what he wants because he knows that nothing good will happen in a life full of revenge. Kurapika will just regret it in the long run.
Yet, he would die with a smile on his face. A genuine smile, not the one that he’s showing to the people he manipulated. It would be the only time Chrollo would feel happy because he can join his troupe members in heaven. (If they are ever going there) He would be happy to be with the only people that he cared about.
In his conversation with Neon, which showed his human side (but of course, in typical Chrollo fashion, he used this vulnerability as an Uno reverse card and manipulated Neon with it) he showed that he genuinely believed in the afterlife. In life and death. In heaven and earth. In sin and forgiveness. In my headcanon, Chrollo is a devout Christian like myself. He prays every night and day.
His favorite bible verse in someone’s headcanon that I also agree would be Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily anger, it keeps no records of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
This exact verse shows that Chrollo is someone that has sympathy, as much as he is portrayed as evil, in fiction’s black and white principle. But, he always cared for the Phantom Troupe. The troupe is above his life. The number tattoo that they have shows his loyalty and how he would instill to his members that “once you’re a spider, you’d always be a spider”. As said before, the troupe is the extension of his identity.
The million-dollar question: Is Chrollo capable of loving someone?
As much as I am the Chrollo fucker that I am, I will answer you wholeheartedly, No. Why? You may ask. Because at the end of the day, Chrollo is a thief, a wanted criminal with a high bounty on his head. Having a significant other can throw him off from his highly unattainable ambitions, from him achieving what he wants in his life.
When I was writing my OC, Zara, that was partnered with Chrollo, I started thinking about this deeper. Since Zara is an OC of mine that is like the opposite of Chrollo. She wanted simple things like a family and a husband that will love her forever. - Chrollo doesn’t want all of that. As I said before, what he wants is the treasures and knowledge to fill his empty void.
I don’t think Chrollo is someone who is capable of loving someone. - That is my opinion. 
Like he isn’t the kind of guy for a long term commitment. He will fuck, but he’s the kind of guy to leave you behind. He sees that his troupe is far more important than some girl/man that would leave him if they knew he was this wanted criminal.
As much as the troupe is a piece of huge evidence to show that Chrollo is capable of loving people in a genuine sense, but his love for his troupe is limited to familial and mutual respect and trust. It isn’t something that should be taken into a romantic context.
Chrollo’s relationships minus the troupe will always end up in an abusive standpoint. It will always be filled with Chrollo feeding his partner lies about himself just to get what he wants. I said in his past that he never had anything, so he wants to take away everything from other people.
Without his manipulative nature, it would be hard for Chrollo to express love in a genuine way. I can even say that he’s like Kurapika in this department. They both are emotionally constipated people. Yet, they express it in a different way, being traumatized in different ways. Chrollo, unlike Kurapika, he used people to get what he wants and not push them away.
Since I am not a registered medical professional, I am not going to diagnose Chrollo with a mental illness. Like surely he does, but without proper knowledge, I cannot personally deliver it to the reader.
