Earlier this year[2019], Bryant had an arc on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and says it was a fantastic experience. “That was a blast. First of all, it’s an awesome show that has been going on for a while and has tons of fans, for good reason. It shoots here in LA [where I live], which is a lovely departure from [working away from home]. So that was a beautiful thing to do,” he shares.

“We were so spoiled on Haven to have such a great community around the show, really fantastic friends, all the actors and crew and production. It was just a really incredible family that we developed over a number of years out in that weird place in Nova Scotia.”

“[Since then], I have learned not expect that necessarily on other projects. And my experience immediately on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was that they have also created something really warm and welcoming and loving and a beautiful family that they’ve got going on. I was really, really lucky to be welcomed there.”

Poker Face works so well as a disposable but highly enjoyable crime series because it understands every element of its genre fare and sets up and picks its pieces apart with such cinematic flair. [Natasha] Lyonne delivers an amusing performance as a reluctant gumshoe and human lie detector machine. Each episode leaves you primed for next week’s entry.

The fact that Rian Johnson is NOT showrunner of POKER FACE makes me anticipate it even more. I love his movies but I cannot fucking wait to see how his brand of structuralist perfectionism will evolve with other voices mixed in. (Nora and Lilla Zuckerman were co-showrunners on this I think.)

“Alien Commies from the Future!” – A surprise leap forward in time has stranded Enoch in 1931 and landed the team in yet another unfamiliar decade. Now, in order to stop the chronicoms from launching their newest future-dismantling plan, the agents will have to infiltrate one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most secure bases. They won’t be able to succeed without help from a familiar face or two on an all-new episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” airing WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10 (10:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.
