I’ve been wanting to play Interstitial: Our Hearts Intertwined with Aichi as my player character so bad that I finally snapped and made Aichi as every single character sheet.

Yes. Every single character sheet. That includes the “evil” classes like The Dark, the more specifically Kingdom Hearts-sounding classes like The Linkmaster, The Other, and The Memory, the ones you probably just wouldn’t see him being like The Knucklehead or The Prodigy, some other strange ones like The Amalgam and The Anachronism...

I even made him The Hunted for crying out loud!

I took different circumstances Aichi has been in or could hypothetically be in, all either canonical or based on canon to varying degrees, and used them for each class.

Well... barring a few classes. I just sort of made normal Aichi for a few because he would just be normal for a few of them.

The Chosen: End of Series Aichi that has had all of his character development.

The Connected: Pick an Aichi, any Aichi! Just whichever point in the timeline you want to play a Vanguard world in!

The Dark: PSY Qualia Zombie Aichi.

The Discarded: PSY Qualia Aichi.

The Displaced: If Aichi’s world was destroyed in the game.

The Friend: Probably Season 1/Foo Fighter arc Aichi.

The Light: Probably Season 3/High School arc Aichi.

The Mystic: One of the Legion Mate Aichis. He pushes his friends away, right?

The Other: This is a weird one... Basically it involves time shenanigans like in If, except Aichi somehow is pulled through time and has to deal with there being another Aichi present. This is the Aichi FROM that time period.

The Anachronism: This is the Aichi that was pulled through time and is causing The Other trouble!

The Amalgam: G Aichi, except he’s Diff-Riding with Blaster Blade! So it’s Blaster Blade’s mind in harmony with Aichi’s!

The Linksmith: Another Legion Mate Aichi. He can rewrite and alter memories and everything!

The Prodigy: If Aichi. This is less for the flavor text and more for the skills.

The Knucklehead: Blaster Blade Aichi, so he’s able to kick butt while he’s using Blaster Blade’s sword and stuff!

The Memory: Legion Mate Aichi again! The idea behind this one could be that Aichi’s plan to seal himself away failed because he was yanked from his world after he erased everyone’s memories. He’s left without any friendships to help him remain tethered as he tries to get back home and seal himself away. The longer this goes on, the more likely it is he’ll be taken over by Void. The more friendships/Links he has, the less likely he’ll be taken over. You could have it so that if he loses all of his Links, he doesn’t die, he actually gets taken over by Void and is unplayable.

The Hunted: Ibuki is dedicated to Deleting Aichi, and Aichi has to be careful not to get Deleted.

I put too much effort into this, help me. Thank my brother for helping me out with the classes I wasn’t sure about.

The biggest stretches in my opinion are probably The Other, The Anachronism, The Knucklehead, and The Hunted, but sometimes you need to make stretches to make things work!

What do you think makes a fic a crack fic?

A fic that is inherently ridiculous in some way. That’s about all that’s required imo.

There’s an overlap with fics that make you go “what the fuck”, but it’s not 1:1. (I mean, one of my actually-serious fics got the “what the fuck” reaction too.) But either way, the inherent ridiculousness is what makes it crack.

Gratuitous crackfic recs because I honestly love crackfic:
